WWE WrestleMania 22 02.04.2006 Rosemont, IL A. WWE Cruiserweight Title: Super Crazy (c) def. Psicosis (7 mins) It's a long and tense night, I need to open the preshow with a quick and fun match and so these two are perfect. The feud has just started, putting Crazy over as the best of the group, while Psicosis doesn't have much time left here. Crazy wins with the moonsault
B. WWE Hardcore Title: Val Venis (c) def. Matt Striker (5 mins) Striker got some notoriety at the time for being caught on television by the school he was supposed to work at, so that is fun. He would hate Venis for his porn tendencies and demand respect, the two characters would naturally clash. Venis retains with the money shot
C. Lashley (w/ Kristal) def. JBL (w/ Jillian Hall) (6 mins) I wanted to put this on the main show, but I couldn't find space. Lashley is still undefeated and they started the feud the previous winter, when JBL mocked Lashley for not being good enough to represent Smackdown against Raw. Lashley seems really on fire and wins with the dominator
D. WWE Tag Titles: Kane & The Big Show (c) def. The Rednecks (w/ Mickie James) (7 mins) Another blowoff and the end of the chase for Show and Kane, who have dominated since coming back but now can finally have a rubber match against the Rednecks for the titles. The heels try to get counted out to retain, but Murdoch gets pulled in and pinned with the double chokeslam
1. Money In The Bank: Rob Van Dam def. Shelton Benjamin, Chavo Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Finlay and Jamie Noble (12 mins) Second edition of the MITB. Raw is represented by the favourite RVD, the agile Benjamin and the inspirational Chavo. Smackdown has the specialist Hardy, the new entry Finlay and the ductile Noble. This would be better than the original thanks to better performer being in the ring. Benjamin and RVD fight until the end and RVD is the one to grab the briefcase to win the match
2. WWE World Tag Titles: Speed Of Sound def. MNM (c) (w/ Melina) (10 mins) Another blowoff, as MNM have been champions for a year but have always been scared of London and Kendrick, due to their agility and unpredictability. It's hard to follow the MITB, but they can just have a fun bout with a slow build. London hits the shooting star press on Mercury to win the titles
3. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Edge (w/ Lita) def. Mick Foley (14 mins) I loved this and we can all say that it helped Edge even more. Edge would call himself the king of hardcore due to his Rated R persona, but Foley of course doesn't agree and dares Edge to prove it. I'd keep the same match and of course the finish, with the crazy spear through the ropes and the inflamed table that gives Edge a really prestigious victory
4. WWE US Title: Chris Benoit def. Booker T (c) (w/ Sharmell and William Regal) (11 mins) Another blowoff, after months of Booker using his allies to get the better of Benoit. This time, Booker must win by pinfall or submission or he will lose the title. They both go all out, as I'm aware of the card being really stacked and some matches need to be a bit shorter. Benoit wins the title back with the crossface
5. WWE IC Title: Ric Flair (w/ Torrie Wilson) def. Carlito (c) (w/ Chris Masters) (7 mins) Flair and Carlito have bene rivals for months, but now Flair can get revenge for being spat an apple on his face and wants to win the only belt that he's missing. Carlito, of course, doesn't respect the Naitch. Flair uses an inside cradle and wins the IC title for a nice moment
6. The Undertaker def. Kurt Angle (18 mins) I mean, I loved their No Way Out match but why can't they do it here??? It's WrestleMania, for crying out loud. Angle is a machine and Taker, as he knows he can't scare him, wants to outwrestle Angle instead. I'd keep the exact same match of No Way Out of course. Angle dominates on the mat, but Taker hits the tombstone and wins. They shake hands after the match
7. No Holds Barred Match: Shawn Michaels def. Vince McMahon (13 mins) I liked this, it was fun and it lead to something good in the summer. I liked the storyline pitch of McMahon being mad at HBK for not being loyal to him after he was his chosen one at Montreal, but this only makes sense with a Bret Hart run in to punch McMahon in the face. Michaels looks at Bret, almost to ask him for permission, and kicks Vince in the face for the victory
8. WWE World Title: Rey Mysterio def. Randy Orton (c) (11 mins) No, Eddie Guerrero is not heavily involved in this storyline, it has more to do with Orton mocking and insulting Mysterio, treating him as a joke as many before. Mysterio shows his fire, but he's the clear underdog here and gets dominated. Orton hits the ring post after a rage attack and Mysterio hits him with the 619 and west coast pop for the upset and the title change
9. WWE Title: John Cena (c) (w/ Maria) def. Triple H (16 mins) I am also keeping the main event, dream match is maybe too much of a big word for this but it was a fairly big deal. In my story, Cena would be cheered normally but there the crowd is split as HHH has been around for ages. The match was okay in terms of smoke and mirrors, think HHH should have invested more in some matwork. Cena blocks the pedigree and pins HHH with the F-U to retain

This is the last season of the mono-brand PPVs. Also, 2006 sees a lot of wrestlers working exclusive PPVs of other brands, which I will also allow as it's a rule that was soon going to be cancelled anyway. One of the consequences of all PPVs becoming multi-brand again is that I don't need that many title belts to fill the cards and so the Hardcore Title and the Cruiserweight Title are soon going to be cancelled. They are both past their prime anyway, in terms of concept and key players on the roster
On Raw April 3rd, Rob Van Dam wins the Hardcore Title against Val Venis and retires the belt, talking about ECW being the real hardcore company and not WWE
WWE Backlash 30.04.2006 Lexington, KY
1. Rob Van Dam def. Shelton Benjamin (18 mins) This was really good and I'll keep it on the card, the IC Title is not needed and it's actually harmful as RVD can't really lose it soon. They get into a heated rivalry about who's the most spectacular wrestler and Van Dam gets the best after the five star frog splash on Benjamin
2. The Young Prospects (w/ Candice Michelle) def. The Rednecks (w/ Mickie James) (7 mins) The Young Prospects are Kenny Doane and Nick Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler), both managed by Candice Michelle, as the cheerleader gimmick was stupid and this way the can come in as arrogant blue chippers. The youngsters do really well and win when Doane rolls up Cade for the upset
3. Umaga (w/ Armando Estrada) def. Goldust (5 mins) Umaga makes his debut and I would also keep his partnership with Estrada, as they had a lot of chemistry and Estrada could talk for Umaga. Goldust is here to be the sacrificial lamb and sells well for the monster, before getting pinned with the samoan spike for a total squash
4. WWE IC Title: Ric Flair (c) (w/ Torrie Wilson) def. Charlie Haas (11 mins) Flair is ecstatic about being the new IC champion and wants to be a fighting champion, he gets quickly challenged by the returning Haas. Haas won't be in singles competition for long and can afford a loss, he has a solid match but Flair locks in the figure four and Haas taps out
5. WWE World Tag Titles: Carlito & Chris Masters def. The Big Show & Kane (c) (10 mins) Carlito and Masters weren't great, but there's not much around and I need to push them for a big program in the summer, plus Show is getting drafted soon. They had an okay match at 'Mania, but with the different finish as Kane hits Show by mistake and Carlito pins him
6. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Shane McMahon def. Shawn Michaels (15 mins) Shane is not happy about Michaels beating his dad and teaching him a lesson, so it's his round now. The GM is surely fresher than Vince and the match shouldn't be bad thanks to some overbooking. Vince arrives to hit Michaels with a chair and Shane wins with a con-chair-to
7. WWE Title: John Cena (c) (w/ Maria) def. Edge (w/ Lita) and Triple H (18 mins) This was a good main event and the feud wasn't that bad either, with Cena/Edge getting more tense and HHH still kept in the title scene to legitimise it. HHH wants the McMahons to help him, but they are too busy with HBK. It's an open match that gets bloody, Cena rolls up HHH and retains

WWE Judgment Day 21.05.2006 Phoenix, AZ
1. WWE US Title: Fit Finlay (w/ William Regal) def. Chris Benoit (c) (20 mins) Finlay was really handy in 2006, as he got himself in a good position in the roster and was always a good hand in the ring. Benoit needs some time off and it's time for him to drop the belt. They had a great match here and I'm keeping it, Regal interferes and Finlay wins with the celtic cross
2. The Pitbulls def. Matt Hardy & Shane Helms (10 mins) Helms comes back from his injury and turns babyface, saying he should have listened to his friend Matt Hardy, asking him to be partners. It's all a plan though, as Helms leaves Hardy by himself here and Hardy, after fighting the Pitbulls with honour, loses when Noble hits the tiger driver on him
3. WWE Cruiserweight Title vs. Career: Super Crazy (c) def. Psicosis (9 mins) I'm not really high on the rematch, but the division is almost at its end and this would be a solid match anyway, so I'm not really bothered. Psicosis puts his career on the line to win the belt and fails once again, Crazy hits the moonsault and pins his former friend to retain
4. #1 Contender: Booker T (w/ Sharmell) def. The Undertaker and Lashley (w/ Kristal) (14 mins) These three want a title shot and so Teddy Long books a three way. Lashley/Taker never happened and here they clash for the first time, while Booker tries to avoid both but ends up eating most of their offence. Regal distracts Taker and Finlay passes Booker the US Title, so Booker hits Lashley and wins the match 5. WWE Tag Titles Tornado Match: Speed Of Sound (c) def. MNM (w/ Melina) (13 mins) MNM must split now due to Joey Mercury's issues and Johnny Nitro going to Raw, so they can go out in style here with another loss to London and Kendrick, even though they will be back in a few months. The tornado stipulation should help them. London pins Mercury with the 450 splash
6. Kurt Angle def. Randy Orton (12 mins) They had a great one at One Night Stand, but I wouldn't have Orton working that show as they already had enough "invaders", so they can have it here instead. Orton defeated Angle at No Way Out and still mocks him for this, but here Angle locks in the ankle lock and Orton taps out
7. WWE World Title vs. Career: Rey Mysterio (c) def. JBL (w/ Jillian Hall) (15 mins) I liked the Title vs. Career stipulation and would use it here hoping to get a good buyrate, as this isn't a great draw by itself to be honest. They have been feuding on and off for 2 years, JBL also defeated Mysterio at No Way Out and is sure about his triumph. Mysterio manages to beat his opponent with a springboaerd leg drop and retains

So, ECW is coming back as a brand and with its own TV show with Paul Heyman as GM
ECW One Night Stand 11.06.2006 Manhattan, NY
1. Super Crazy & Tajiri def. Little Guido & Psicosis (12 mins) This match actually happened with Tony Mamaluke tagging with Guido, so Psicosis' presence should only improve it, with a one night only return as his WWE career has now finished and this is technically an ECW event. Crazy again pins Psicosis with the moonsault to win the match
2. The Sandman def. Masato Tanaka (7 mins) Sandman needs a match on this show, as he was still really popular with the ECW fans. Tanaka is only here to visit unfortunately, I would have really loved for him to stay long term. They have a short match with a lot of singapore cane actions, Sandman hits Tanaka in the head and pins him
3. The Big Show def. Balls Mahoney (2 mins) Show has been drafted to ECW and turns heel, saying that he's too big for ECW (in more ways than one) and will crush the competition. I didn't love him as ECW champion, but didn't hate him either to be honest. Balls goes balls out (no pun intended), but Show hits a chokeslam and squashes him in an impressive way
4. Submission Match: Chris Benoit def. Kurt Angle (17 mins) It's Kurt Angle's last PPV match in WWE for a whole decade, so he turns heel as well when he gets drafted to ECW and mentions walking out from their show in 1996. He badmouths ECW, so Benoit steps up to defend his old company against his old rival. They have a submission match and Benoit wins with the crossface. Angle is humiliated and quits the WWE
5. WWE World Title: Rey Mysterio (c) def. Sabu (11 mins) This was okay and everything, a dream match of some sort, but I don't really get the non-finish as WWE was already booking Mysterio as a weak champion to begin with. Sabu tries a crazy dive but Mysterio moves, so Sabu crashes a table by falling and Mysterio can win the match with the west coast pop
6. Edge & Mick Foley (w/ Lita) def. Tommy Dreamer & Terry Funk (w/ Beulah) (16 mins) Again, this was fine but let's leave the girls at ringside to catfight, I didn't really need to see a hump pin from Edge. Edge is hardcore and Foley turns heel to support him after his 'Mania loss, the history with Funk and Dreamer is really high. Edge pins Dreamer with a spear after Foley piledrives Dreamer
7. WWE Title: Rob Van Dam def. John Cena (c) (20 mins) The atmosphere was great and I still believe that this wouldn't have been so good in another arena. RVD cashes in his MITB and Cena has all of the arena against him, it's almost a lumberjack match as the whole ECW roster is at ringside to watch. Cena seems in control, but misses a move and hits the post with his head, allowing RVD's comeback and five star frog splash for the pinfall

On RAW June 5th, two title change happened - The reformed WGTT def. Chris Masters & Carlito for the Tag Titles - Johnny Nitro def. Ric Flair for the IC Title More details below, of course
WWE Vengeance 25.06.2006
Charlotte, NC
1. No Disqualification Match: Randy Orton def. Kurt Angle (14 mins) I made a mistake when talking about Angle, as THIS is his last PPV match, apologies. Their feud has a blowoff with a fitting stipulation, Orton is tired of being overlooked and wants revenge for Angle making him tapout. They have enough time for a good but untraditional opener, Orton wins with an RKO on a chair
2. WWE Tag Titles: World's Greatest Tag Team (c) def. The Young Prospect (w/ Candice Michelle) (11 mins) WGTT reform and Benjmain turns babyface, siding with his friend Haas again here. Candice leads the unbeaten Kenny and Nicky to this match, with the usual storyline of the veteran babyfaces and the young heels. Not a marquee match but the wrestling should be okay, Benjamin pins Nemeth to retain
3. Ric Flair def. Mick Foley by DQ (8 mins) We are in Charlotte and so this was a good idea, even though it was just a little appetiser before the actual match. I liked the way they used their real-life heat into the storyline, in my story Foley costs Flair the IC Title too. Flair is on a roll and Foley gets frustrated, so he uses a chair and gets disqualified, creating a big brawl ringside
4. WWE IC Title: Johnny Nitro (w/ Melina) def. Kane (7 mins) Wish I had a better opponent for Nitro, not because 2006 Kane is that bad, but because he's not my IC Title contender prototype. I'm not sure of how the match would be, as Nitro would have to be running and avoiding contact with Kane as much as he is, retaining with a dirty roll up
5. Street Fight Match: John Cena (w/ Maria) def. Sabu (10 mins) I dug the idea of Cena getting extreme and inviting Sabu to the PPV after losing to RVD, also to emulate Edge's new extreme vibe. In the build-up to the match, Cena would occasionally show up to ECW TV and defeat some ECW originals. Sabu has a decent showing, but Cena wins with the F-U
6. WWE Title: Rob Van Dam (c) def. Edge (w/ Lita) (16 mins) RVD with the WWE Title during the ECW brand creation was a bit weird, but it worked out anyway as RVD was really move and, in my story, a former champion as well. Edge is still obsessed with the title, but here Cena interferes to stop Edge's cheating and RVD retains the title with the five star frog splash
7. D-Generation X def. Carlito & Chris Masters (w/ The McMahons) (17 mins) So, DX reforms after they both have issues with the McMahons as they did in the actual WWE. As a re-debut, this is probably a stronger and better match than facing the Spirit Squad, with a lot of heat as DX cost Carlito and Masters the tag titles. It's a DX showcase after a bit of teamwork rust and HBK pins Masters with the sweet chin music

WWE The Great American Bash 23.07.2006 Indianapolis, IN
1. WWE US Title: Fit Finlay (c) draws William Regal by double ko (14 mins) Lashley was supposed to get the title shot, but he gets jumped by Booker T's stable before the PPV and so Teddy Long books Finlay vs. Regal to create dissension in the group. They had great matches in WCW and a good one here, they go all out and Finlay retains after a double KO
2. Shane Helms def. Matt Hardy (11 mins) After the turn, Hardy regrets giving his old friend a chance and wants revenge, while Helms talks about how he's been forced to hide under a mask for years. They have an open and competitive match, Helms low blows Hardy and wins the match with a dirty roll up, using the ropes for leverage
3. WWE Cruiserweight Title: Chavo Guerrero def. Super Crazy (c) (10 mins) Chavo gets drafted to Smackdown and wants to get the Cruiserweight Title to pay homage to his uncle Eddie and all the mexican wrestlers of the last decade. It's a babyface match, clean and spotty with no heel tactics. Chavo wins with the frog splash and then shakes Crazy's hand
4. WWE World Tag Titles Dog Collar Match: Speed Of Sound (c) (w/ Ashley) def. The Pitbulls (13 mins) This is the blowoff of their feud, with a stipulation that fits the Pitbulls' characters and should also be a damn good match given their abilities. Ashley, drafted to Smackdown, is now managing the champions. The champions retain with a double powerbomb from the top rope to Kash
5. Batista def. Mr. Kennedy (8 mins) If you remember, Kennedy hasn't wrestled in my 2005 PPVs as he got hurt right away, but he would still be there as a personality on the show. He taunts Batista for months, until actually Batista comes back from the injury with a vengeance. Kennedy fights hard, but Batista has a great comeback match and wins with the batista bomb
6. No Disqualification Match: The Undertaker def. The Big Show (14 mins) No Great Khali whatsoever, no Punjabi Prison or anything that silly. Show wants to prove himself and Heyman lets him crush Smackdown to challenge Taker. After a Smackdown match finished by DQ, they have a rematch without rules and Taker wins with a tombstone
7. WWE World Title: Booker T (w/ Sharmell) def. Rey Mysterio (c) (15 mins) I never gave him a shot in 2003/2004 as I had a lot of better alternatives, but I'm almost forced to push him here and keep the belt for a bit. Liked the idea of the stable, don't need any corny King Booker gimmicks though. Mysterio won't be bullied and as usual gives his best, but shockingly Chavo Guerrero arrives to the ring and hits him with the newly won Cruiserweight Title. Booker hits the scissor kick and wins the title

WWE Summer Slam 20.08.2006 Boston, MA
1. Rey Mysterio def. Chavo Guerrero (10 mins) Chavo turned on Mysterio for exploiting his uncle's death (which Rey Rey actually didn't do in my reality) and also vacates the Cruiserweight Title, as it represented the Mexicans being labelled as no big deals (that's my way to get rid of it). They have a quick good match like in reality, Mysterio wins with the west coast pop
2. I Quit Match: Ric Flair (w/ Torrie Wilson) def. Mick Foley (12 mins) I liked this too. After the non-finish at Vengeance, they are now wrestling in an I Quit Match as Flair can't wait to get hardcore and show Foley that he can be that dirty if he needs it. They have a bloody match and at the end Foley gives up to the figure four, then they shake hands to make peace and respect each other
3. WWE US Title: Lashley (w/ Kristal) def. Fit Finlay (c) (w/ William Regal) (4 mins) This PPV is so loaded that not all the matches can go for a long time. I am a fan of quick title changes with a monster babyface (ROH did one with Ciampa and Taven once), so here we can have an all-out squash. Finlay tries to get disqualified, but Lashley spears him and pins him to win the title
4. Hulk Hogan def. Randy Orton (12 mins) In hindsight, this is Hogan's last match ever in the WWE and I could have done Cena vs. Hogan, but 2006's Cena wasn't a good fit and Hogan looked so broken down compared to 2005. Orton wants to kill the ultimate legend, does mind games by hitting on Brooke and then attacking her. The match wasn't great, but wasn't supposed to anyway. Hogan drops the leg to win
5. ECW World Title: The Big Show def. Sabu (decision match) (8 mins)
The title doesn't get assigned to RVD by default because it's stupid. A tournament starts to get interest in the TV show (RVD is not in it as he's on Raw at the time) and this is the final. Wasn't the biggest fan of Show as ECW champions, but there's not many alternatives. Show chokeslams Sabu on a table to win
6. Mr. Kennedy def. The Undertaker (11 mins) While targeting Batista, Kennedy was also annoying Taker and the Deadman has enough, so he gets to Kennedy's face to confront him. Kennedy avoids physical confrontations, but he keeps on talking sh!t about this opponent. Taker beats him down badly here, but Kennedy wins with a miracle dirty roll up and runs way
7. No Holds Barred Match: D-Generation X def. The McMahons (13 mins) This was good too. Carlito and Masters didn't work, so Vince and Shane decide to stop DX personally, with the ultimate dishonour of Stephanie giving birth to HHH's kid in August 2006. They had a nice and dramatic smoke and mirror match, HBK gets the hot tag and superkicks Shane to win the fight for his team
8. WWE World Title: Batista def. Booker T (c) (w/ Sharmell) by DQ (7 mins) Just like Show vs. Sabu, this isn't great by any means but I don't have too many alternatives as giving Batista the title right back would be a mistake, the Animal was way better as a chaser and Booker did okay as transitional champion. Booker keeps cheating and Batista gets disqualified for using a chair
9. WWE Title: Edge (w/ Lita) def. John Cena (w/ Maria) and Rob Van Dam (c) (14 mins) I wouldn't suspend RVD for smoking weed, it's 2006 and it fits his character! Yes, he needs to lose the title here, but more for the Cena vs. Edge feud continuing, I'm not a PG company yet and the wellness program is not a thing yet so... yeah, let the man do what he wants. They had this triple threat on Raw and it was nice. Cena hits an FU on RVD, but Edge is the usual opportunist and manages to pin RVD himself to steal the title from Cena

On Smackdown September 15th, William Regal defeats Lashley to win the US Title
WWE Unforgiven 17.09.2006
Toronto, Canada
1. WWE IC Title: Johnny Nitro (c) (w/ Melina) def. Ric Flair (w/ Torrie Wilson) (13 mins) After ending his feud with Mick Foley, Flair finally has a chance to get a rematch against Nitro, who dethroned him for the IC Title a few months earlier. Flair thinks that Nitro is good, but not enough to be that cocky. Nitro and Melina keep cheating to keep the belt with Nitro, who beats Flair with a superkick
2. Jeff Hardy def. Kenny Doane (w/ Candice Michelle and Nicky Nemeth) (8 mins) Hardy comes back to WWE in August and cuts a long promo, saying that he let everyone down last time but now he wants to make it up to the fans and his brother Matt. The roster is a bit thin and Doane can be an okay showcase match for Hardy's PPV returns. Hardy wins with the swanton bomb
3. WWE World Tag Titles: World's Greatest Tag Team (c) def. The Rednecks (w/ Mickie James) (10 mins) WGTT are almost living a second era of gold, now as babyface champions unlike 2003, while Cade and Murdoch were a decent tag team and steal the titles to create this feud. The teams go all out and the champions retain after Haas hits Cade with a bridging german suplex following a superkick from Benjamin
4. Umaga (w/ Alejandro Estrada) def. Kane (7 mins) This was actually well done and these two monsters had a weird but positive chemistry, so I will use that of course. Estrada claims that the undefeated Umaga is the real big man of the WWE and of course Kane takes exception to that. Estrada interferes and Umaga wins after hitting the samoan spike
5. Hell In A Cell Match: D-Generation X def. The McMahons & The Big Show (20 mins) I would keep this too, just a few minutes shorter honestly, but in general I enjoyed it a lot. The McMahons get Big Show to help them against DX, which makes it a really challenging 2 vs. 3 in the HIAC for the babyfaces. It gets bloody, but at the end HHH hits the pedigree on Vince and DX wins once again
6. Randy Orton def. Carlito (11 mins) Carlito and Masters argue after disappointing the McMahon at Vengeance and Masters turns on Carlito, saying that he blew his chance to be in the McMahon's circle. Masters is injured here and Carlito wrestles Orton. Masters arrives at ringside to distract Carlito anyway and Orton wins with the RKO
7. WWE Title TLC Match: John Cena (w/ Maria) def. Edge (c) (w/ Lita) (25 mins) Yes, of course I am also keeping the main event because it was absolutely incredible. The feud between these two has been solid, the stipulation was fitting and this was the most anti-Cena crowd, with the announcers wondering if Cena can beat a hostile crowd after losing at One Night Stand. The answer is yes, Cena has learned how to control his emotions. I'd keep the FU from the top of the ladder on the two tables, then Cena grabs the title and wins

WWE No Mercy 08.10.2006 Raleigh, NC
1. Mexican Death Match: Chavo Guerrero def. Rey Mysterio (13 mins) The feud continues and Chavo would get enough heat by himself, I don't see the need of putting Vickie in his corner. Mysterio is taking time off and so Chavo goes over when they fight over a balcony and they both fall, but Chavo gets up by holding the referee while Mysterio doesn't
2. WWE Tag Titles: Speed Of Sound (c) (w/ Ashley) def. KC James & Idol Stevens (7 mins) I'm keeping this match from the original card, more because of lack of alternatives than for liking the bout or the storyline. No Michelle McCool for the challengers, I'll bring her in later, so they would be even less over if possible. Easy defence for the champions, Kendrick pins James to retain
3. Parking Lot Brawl: Matt Hardy def. Shane Helms (11 mins) This is their blowoff and I was thinking of some kind of stipulation for them to have a backyard match closer to their roots in Omega, this should fit well enough. They have good chemistry and can focus on spot with props. Hardy hits a kamikaze side effect on the top of a car and covers Helms to win
4. WWE US Title: Chris Benoit def. William Regal (c) (w/ Layla) (14 mins) Teddy Long announces Benoit's return, the Canadian wants revenge against Booker T's stable and take his US Title back. I like Regal, but his reign is merely a way to get the belt back to Benoit at the end. They have incredible chemistry and this should steal the show, Benoit wins the title with the crossface
5. MVP def. Jimmy Yang (5 mins) I'd keep MVP's presentation and long stalling before actually wrestling a match, with Long finally forcing to fight or leave Smackdown altogether. Yang is back as well and would be a good partner, selling well for MVP and making him look good. MVP has a good debut and wins with the playmaker drive
6. Relaxed Rules Match: Mr. Kennedy def. The Undertaker (16 mins) Teddy Long books this match as Kennedy and Taker wrestle without getting a finish due to costant DQs, here there must be a winner. Kennedy keeps talking sh!t and annoying Taker, but now it's time to put up or shut up. Kennedy wrestles well, but Taker is too good. Taker is ready for a tombstone, but Kennedy counters it in a shocking roll up and wins, which makes Taker furious
7. WWE World Title: Booker T (c) (w/ Sharmell) def. Batista, Fit Finlay and Lashley (w/ Kristal) (15 mins) This was the original main event of the card and I keep it, it gives more fuel to the Booker/Batista blowoff, it's the first main event taste for Lashley and Finlay gets some props for his great 2006. The match was a fine main event, Batista has Finlay pinned but the referee counts Booker's pinfall on Lashley instead and Booker retains

WWE Cyber Sunday 05.11.2006 Cincinanti, OH
1. WWE IC Title: Jeff Hardy def. Johnny Nitro (c) (w/ Melina) (16 mins) Hardy gets an IC Title shot thanks to his good track record since his return to WWE, only for Nitro to insult him and mocking him for being a perennial disappointment that threw his career away. Hardy is determined not to mess up this time and wins the title with the swanton bomb
2. Cryme Tyme def. The Young Prospects (w/ Candice Michelle) (7 mins) The division is not having its best time, but Cryme Tyme got over quite decently on their debut and so they would keep their original gimmick, stealing stuff and insulting Candice. The Propsect's run is pretty much done here and JTG pins Nemeth with the G9
3. Chris Masters def. Carlito (9 mins) The former partners finally fight on PPV. Masters blames Carlito for using him, while Carlito says that he saw something in Masters and tried to help him in vain. They never had great matches, so here hopefully this would be decent and thus a bit short. Masters wins with the masterlock
4. Umaga (w/ Armando Estrada) def. Ric Flair (w/ Torrie Wilson) (11 mins) I really like their original feud and match at Backlash, the only problem is that it was Umaga' debut program while I can have it here as a further push for him and making it mean something. As usual, babyface Flair gives his 100% but Umaga is a monster and wins with the samoan spike
5. WWE World Tag Titles: World's Greatest Tag Team (c) def. The Highlanders (10 mins) As written above, the tag division is not the strongest at the moment. The Highlanders were average at best, but hopefully they would have been led in a decent way by WGTT, compared to their match against the Spirit Squad. Benjamin hits the t-bone on Rory and pins him to retain
6. Rated Rko def. D-Generation X (18 mins) As in reality, Orton and Edge get together to stop DX from running Raw and Edge even turns on Lita when he lets Orton F-U her. No need for Bischoff and overbooking, it's simply DX's first loss as a really competitive match. Orton hits an RKO on Michaels and pins him while Edge holds HHH back
7. WWE World Title: Booker T (c) (w/ Sharmell) def. John Cena (w/ Maria) and The Big Show (20 mins) I mean this was okay and a good way to book a prestigious match without nothing really changing. I would actually open a poll about which belt will be defended, with Booker clearly winning it (and so he'll have to win the match). It's not Kevin Federline running in (lol), but Umaga hits Cena with the samoan spike and Booker pins him to win
