Post WrestleMania VII - Randy Savage does not retire, as his match against Ultimate Warrior didn't have this stipulation, but takes a break from the ring and also from TV. Him and Elizabeth renew their vows in spring and he turns face, even though his relationship with Hulk Hogan keeps being really tense - Sgt. Slaughter's character get phased out a bit and exits the main event scene following the PPV and the house shows rematches - Ted DiBiase is tired of everyone of his lackeys and also berates Virgil, that turns on him as well - Bret Hart is on a roll with his push as a single competitor - Jake Roberts messes with Undertaker with a few cryptic promos about death and Taker tombstones him on the concrete, injurying him for months
WWF Summer Slam 26.08.1991 New York City, NY
1. Tito Santana def. Marty Jannetty (12 mins) Shawn Michaels is out with an injury and so Jannetty tries his luck in the single division. Ironically, Santana warns him that this is exactly what caused issues between him and Rick Martel a few years prior, but Jannetty assures that the Rockers are all fine. Face vs. face opener, energetic and a good spotlight for Jannetty, even though Santana is the winner here
2. Ted DiBiase (w/ IRS) def. Virgil (w/ Andre the Giant) (7 mins) Virgil turns on DiBiase and, as much as the match wouldn't be anything special, it was a long partnership and can get its own PPV blowoff. Smoke and mirrors is also helped by the fact that Andre the Giant decides to be in Virgil's corner, as he was humiliated by DiBiase as well before retiring. This match is kept really short and DiBiase wins, then fires Virgil, but Andre chases him away from ringside
3. Davey Boy Smith def. Sgt. Slaughter (w/ Gen. Adnan) (10 mins) After losing against Hulk Hogan, Slaughter would still keep his position but in a lower profile. Next on his list is Davey, as the English were of course also included in the Iraqi conflict. I'd stay away from political chaos at this point, but this is a good win for Davey, as Slaughter has just lost the WWF Title and now gets defeated by him
4. WWF IC Title: Bret Hart def. Mr. Perfect (c) (18 mins) This actually happened on the PPV and it was amazing. After losing to Steamboat, Bret has been improving a lot but faces the greatest IC champion out there, as Perfect has retained the title for more than 2 years and seems to never skip a beat. All out match, Perfect loses to the sharpshooter and steps away from the ring for a bit, while Bret gets a prestigious victory
5. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) def. The Big Bossman (10 mins)
Bossman is the next on the list as he messed around with Taker during his feud with DiBiase. Bossman sells Taker's character really well and seems really scared of the Deadman, who shows no emotion. It's a fairly easy match for Taker, once again the Tombstone is too devastating and Bossman gets pinned
6. Kerry Von Erich def. Ricky Steamboat (13 mins) Steamboat is on his way out already and, after a good win at 'Mania, needs to pass some heat now. I chose Von Erich as the match would have been certainly outstanding and also because Kerry can turn heel here during the match, cheating to beat the beloved and home grown Steamboat when he submits him to the lethal claw
7. WWF Tag Titles: The Legion of Doom def. The Nasty Boys (c) (w/ Jimmy Hart) (9 mins) As said before, I don't really see much in the Nastys but I needed transitional heel champions to carry the belts and this is because LOD is getting them here. Not the worst pairing anyway, however it can be a fun little brawl at best. LOD is on a roll and they win the belts quite quickly, also keeping their undefeated streak
8. WWF Title: Hulk Hogan (c) def. The Ultimate Warrior. Special Referee: Randy Savage (15 mins) Warrior wants his title rematch, as he was the one to defeat Hogan last year anyway. Savage gets nominated special referee and it's interesting, as he actually can't stand either Hogan or Warrior, but he promises to call it down the middle. 'Mania VI was almost a miracle, also thanks to the Toronto fans, but I believe that the MSG would have been maybe the only other arena able to enhance this match just as good. Lots of smoke and mirrors and not the longest, Hogan drops the leg and gets his win back

Post Summer Slam 1991 - Ric Flair debuts in the WWF, accompanied by Mr. Perfect and showing the WCW World Title saying that he is the real world champion. The belt gets banned from the TV almost straight away, but the Nature Boy keeps teasing Hulk Hogan and daring him to face a real champion - Hogan and Savage are on the same side again due to their common hatred for Flair, even though the Mega Powers good old days are not coming back - Ultimate Warrior (actually fired) gets written out of TV when the commentators note that he has disappeared and nobody knows where he is - Jake Roberts has returned from his injury and refuses to wrestle Undertaker, but keeps cutting cryptic and apocalyptic promos - Roddy Piper is back in action and mentoring his old protégé Bret Hart - Owen Hart has debuted in the WWF as a babyface - After losing against Hulk Hogan again, Ted DiBiase introduces IRS to keep his wealth under control
WWF Survivor Series 27.11.1991
Detroit, MI
1. Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Tito Santana & Davey Boy Smith def. Kerry Von Erich, Rick Martel, The Warlord & Jim Neidhart (w/ Jimmy Hart) (28 mins) This can be quite a strong opener, as most of the workers involved in this match are capable of good things. Lots of feud get enhanced in this match, but this also sees Piper and Bret not getting along even if they are on the same team. They both survive, but Piper tags himself in and pins Von Erich, something that Hart doesn't appreciate 2. The Faces of Fear & Money Inc. (w/ Jimmy Hart) def. The Legion of Doom & The Rockers (20 mins) This match will hopefully be quite interesting as well, the styles in here are so much different and matching in a decent way. LOD and FoF just go at it with power moves, while Rockers fly around and Money Inc use a lot of dirty tactics. Rockers get eliminated due to a miscommunication, then DiBiase "convinces" Jimmy Hart to get Haku holding Animal for a double countout, so DiBiase survives by himself
3. The Undertaker, Steve Keirn, Owen Hart & Tatanka (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Jake Roberts, Sgt. Slaughter & The Nasty Boys (w/ Jimmy Hart) (16 mins) Undertaker is the star of the match again. Owen shocks the world by pinning Sags with a roll up, but then he gets DDT and pinned by Roberts. Taker eliminates everybody else and gets face to face with Roberts, who just open his arms and surprisingly lets Taker tombstone him for the victory
4. Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Jim Duggan & Greg Valentine (w/ Elizabeth) def. Ric Flair, The Big Bossman, Hercules & Kato (w/ Mr. Perfect and Mr. Fuji) (24 mins) It's an open main event, teams are not the best but the roster is quite weak and this is why I am only booking 4 matches. Hogan and Savage manage to coexist with a few issues here and there, while Flair leads his team well. At the end Flair gets DQd when he attacks Hogan in a savage way and Hogan replies, this leaves Macho by himself with Bossman and his elbow wins it for him

Post Survivor Series 1991 - For the first time in history, the WWF Title is vacant after a Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair match at MSG. Hogan defends his title, while Flair shows up with the "Real World Title" and offered to put it on the line. Following a dirty finish, Jack Tunney and the referees have agreed to vacate the title and the new champion will be the winner of the Royal Rumble - The IC Title has also been vacated due to Bret Hart's injury, a few days before his title defence against Kerry Von Erich. Roddy Piper wins a Battle Royal, so him and Von Erich will fight over the vacant IC Title - Sycho Sid has debuted as a monster heel and immediately gets an undefeated streak by winning matches in a few minutes - Shawn Michaels has turned on Marty Jannetty, injuring him, the same way that he actually did in reality
WWF Royal Rumble 19.01.1992 Albany, NY
1. Owen Hart def. Rick Martel (12 mins) Martel is offended as he wanted to be in the Rumble and believes Owen to be such a green rookie. The story sees Owen as an ultimate underdog, showing a lot of the Hart style to surprise Martel and do really well here. Martel has the match won, but Owen pins him with an inside cradle and celebrates his first big PPV victory
2. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Earthquake (w/ Jimmy Hart) (7 mins) Like the year before, Taker is not in the Rumble as I don't want him to lose yet. Earthquake is really big and heavy, so he goes toe to toe with the Deadman when it comes to power, even though Taker proves to be extremely superior. Taker wins the match with a tombstone
3. WWF IC Title: Roddy Piper def. Kerry Von Erich (decision match) (14 mins) A nice style contrast here, but Von Erich can indulge in a brawl and Piper is ok at following the opponent on the match so it would have hopefully been a good match. Von Erich shines a lot here, but Piper's experience is really what makes an impact and helps him win the title after avoiding the claw. Nice moment, as it's Hot Rod's first single championship in the WWF
4. WWF Tag Titles: The Legion of Doom (c) def. The Faces of Fear (w/ Jimmy Hart) (10 mins) This would be a fun brawl, so it needs to be kept short and to the point. LOD are still on top and undefeated, so Jimmy Hart unleashes his guys. FOF actually manages to beat down LOD in the build up more than any other team, but at the PPV it is the LOD to win and retain the belts
5. WWF Title Royal Rumble Match: Ric Flair wins by last eliminating Randy Savage (decision match) (63 mins) Participants: Flair, Savage, Tatanka, Brawler, Kama, IRS, Neidhart, Kato, Tanaka, Beverly, Beverly, Mountie, Smith, Sags, Michaels, Santana, DiBiase, Volkoff, Bossman, Hercules, Roberts, Duggan, Snuka, Virgil, Valentine, Hogan, Keirn, Slaughter, Sid, Warlord. Flair is #3 and does well since the beginning. Michaels and Smith shine throughout the match and last 30 minutes each before getting eliminated. Sid is #13 and cleans the ring, beating down everyone until he sees a fan ringside (a plant) with Ultimate Warrior's facepaint and attacks him. Final four is: Flair #3, Savage #10, Hogan #22 and Roberts #28. Hogan and Savage work together and eliminate Roberts, then however Flair lowblows Savage from behind and a furious Macho, thinking it was Hogan, eliminates him from behind. Hogan is furious, but has to leave ringside. Savage and Flair fight for several minutes, until Naitch wins the match and is the new champion

Post Royal Rumble 1992 - The new WWF champion Ric Flair gets a lot of heat by showing another title belt, a custom one that names him the Real World champion. Flair always showcases the new strap and leaves the WWF Title with his manager Mr. Perfect - At a MSG show, Hulk Hogan wins a battle royal to get a title shot at WrestleMania against Flair - Bret Hart returns to action and wants a title shot to the IC Title as he never lost it - Psycho Sid reveals he was the one to injury Ultimate Warrior last summer and putting him out of action, saying he went after him to show that he doesn't fear anybody - Jake Roberts keeps interfering in every Undertaker match, daring him to face him one on one - Shawn Michaels is killing it with his single push and the newly renamed Heartbreak Kid gets Sherri as his manager as well
WWF Wrestlemania VIII 05.04.1992
Indianapolis, IN
1. Davey Boy Smith def. Kerry Von Erich (12 mins) Both these two are in a solid midcard position and trying to get to the main event, a natural rivalry starts when Smith is mad at Von Erich for injurying his brother in law Bret Hart. Hopefully this would have given a bit of heat to the contest. Kerry is on his way out and loses clean to the powerslam, important victory for Davey Boy
2. Owen Hart def. Tito Santana (10 mins) Owen is getting a few important victories but Santana, who's always been a babyface in his decade in the WWF, gets a bit heelish and undermines Owen, telling him to work hard instead of living off his family's name. Owen gets the win, in some kind of upset, and Santana shakes his hand in sign of respect
3. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Jake Roberts (7 mins) Roberts finally admits why he is begging Taker to face him: he is tired of his life, his excesses, his addictions etc. and he sees Taker as some kind of saviour, as he destroys anything he sees in his path and might be the one to put him out of his misery. Roberts still fights back and Taker gives him a good beating, finishing him with the tombstone
4. Randy Savage (w/ Elizabeth) def. Shawn Michaels (w/ Sherri) (15 mins) HBK is getting cockier and cockier, until Savage actually decides to do something about it as he's tired of Michaels' toyboy attitude and his arrogance, he will show him what a real Macho Man does. This match also brings Liz in Randy's corner against Sherri, which is a plus, but the main reason for it is giving a great boost to Michaels' career. Shawn takes Savage to the limit, but he loses to Macho Man
5. The Ultimate Warrior def. Sid Justice (3 mins) Sid keeps calling Warrior out anytime he can, but Warrior is never there. Sid gives Warrior an ultimatum at 'Mania and, of course, Warrior comes out to fight his opponent. Sid is a beast, but Warrior squashes him in 3 minutes and gives him his first loss. Sid is gone after 'Mania so I can't use him differently, while Warrior gets heat on his way to Summer Slam
6. WWF IC Title: Bret Hart def. Roddy Piper (c) (14 mins) Exactly what happened in reality, as the feud was ok and the match ruled. The feud would have been a bit more heated, using the fact that Piper refereed Bret's match at 'Mania VII and thought he doesn't have what it takes yet, but here the Hitman proves him wrong. I also keep the great finish and the handshake that passes the torch to Bret
7. WWF Tag Titles: Money Inc. (w/ Jimmy Hart) def. The Legion of Doom (c) (8 mins) LOD is leaving in the summer and it's time for them to lose the titles. Money Inc is not the greatest team but it was quite solid, I don't have much choice anyway at this point. DiBiase would try to buyout LOD but they refuse and so the match happens. Money Inc cheats and gets the belts
8. WWF Title: Hulk Hogan def. Ric Flair (c) (w/ Mr. Perfect) (17 mins) This HAS to be the main event, especially because Flair symbolized WCW in his run and no one better than Hogan could represent the WWF at that point. They had ok matches in WCW in 1994, Flair could still go and would have done good here, especially because the story is so easy to build with the whole real world champion debate, Hogan there to save the WWF brother etc. Hogan drops the leg and becomes WWF champion for the fourth time

Post WrestleMania VIII - Ric Flair keeps sniffing around Hulk Hogan's WWF Title and so does Randy Savage, that is now friendly with Hogan but wants another shot at the gold - Ultimate Warrior reveals that he didn't come back to fight Sycho Sid and that "the voices" want him to face his greatest challenge yet - After his defeat against Undertaker, Jake Roberts has disappeared from the WWF - Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith start teaming regularly, but the latter wants a title shot at the IC Title - Razor Ramon has made his WWF debut
WWF Summer Slam 29.08.1992
London, England
1. Shawn Michaels (w/ Sherri) def. Rick Martel (14 mins) Martel has turned babyface and the Model is a good opponent for HBK, that thinks to be a supermodel himself and is always very vain. In the storyline, HBK is jealous of the fangirls response to Martel and tries to compromise his looks so the match is a bit heated but still fond on technical expertise. Michaels wins again
2. Crush def. Kama (7 mins) Crush is inheriting Demolition's paint and ways after managing them, while Kama has recently debuted without any excess from the Papa Shango gimmick. Two big men against each other, so not a lot of limbo work and a good focus on the brawl. Crush picks up the win here 3. Razor Ramon def. Tito Santana (12 mins)
Razor is doing quite well in the WWF so far and here he is facing a veteran that a lot of times has been a stepping stone for future stars. Santana is not impressed with Razor's cocky ways and actions, but finds out that Razor is also really good in the ring. Razor wins and I think he'll be better off starting his stint like this instead of being put straight in the main event
4. The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) def. The Ultimate Warrior (10 mins) As mentioned above, Warrior wants Undertaker because "the voices" have told him that Deadman is undefeated and undefeatable, so he better beat him or die trying because there can only be on of them left. Taker accepts the challenge without any hesitation and he shocks the world by winning clean with the tombstone, in the biggest victory of his career so far
5. WWF Tag Titles vs. $10000: Money Inc. (c) (w/ Jimmy Hart) def. The Legion of Doom (w/ Paul Ellering) (11 mins) LOD want their belt back, but Money Inc. always manages to escape with them and only put the belt on the line here if LOD also puts $10000 at stake. Also, LOD bring in Ellering to stop Jimmy Hart's interference in the match, but somehow Money Inc still manages to retain the titles
6. WWF Title: Hulk Hogan (c) def. Randy Savage (w/ Elizabeth) and Ric Flair (w/ Mr. Perfect) (15 mins) This is the first triple threat I've ever done, as both Savage and Flair still have unfinished business with Hogan. Flair tries to put the former Mega Powers against each other, which gets Macho all worked up and Hogan super defensive. Competitive match, Hogan retains by legdropping Flair while Naitch has Savage in the figure four
7. WWF IC Title: Bret Hart (c) def. Davey Boy Smith (25 mins) The show is taking place int the UK so this needs to be the main event. I wasn't a biggest fan of any storyline involving Diana Smith, but here she can simply try to stop them from fighting, which doesn't sit well with any of the two. It starts friendly and it gets heated, I can't change the layout of the match but just the finish because Davey is going to get fired in a couple of months and so Bret needs to go over here somehow. Bret capitalizes on an inside cradle and then hugs Smith postmatch

Post Summer Slam 1992 - Undertaker says that he has waited long enough and now will reach his ultimate goal - Mr. Perfect returns to ring action, helping Ric Flair defeating Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage at a MSG show - Due to Davey Boy Smith getting fired, Bret Hart starts tagging more often with his brother Owen - Yokozuna debuts and starts squashing all of his opponents - Tatanka also makes his debut, while others like Bam Bam Bigelow and Bob Backlund return to the WWF - Marty Jannetty returns from his injury and goes after his former partner Shawn Michaels
WWF Survivor Series 25.11.1992
Richfield Township, OH
1. Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Marty Jannetty & Koko B. Ware def. Shawn Michaels, Steve Keirn, Terry Taylor & Razor Ramon (w/ Sherri) (27 mins) Owen is ecstatic to be tagging with Bret, while Janetty joins to get revenge against Michaels, who leads the team with Razor. There are enough good workers here to make this an interesting opener. Razor gets disqualified for breaking the rules too much, after pinning Owen who takes the tag by himself and gets beaten. HBK is alone against Bret and Jannetty, who pin him and survive together
2. Money Inc. & The Headshrinkers (w/ Jimmy Hart and Afa) def. The Nasty Boys & The Beverly Brothers (18 mins) Headshrinkers have debuted as hitmen for Money Inc, who are using them to keep the Tag Titles around their waists. Nasty Boys have turned face after the start of their run and now are fan favourites. The samoans pretty much do all the hard work and get eliminated as they expose themselves too much, while DiBiase rolls up Sags to win and survive
3. The Undertaker, Crush, Rick Martel & Tito Santana (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Yokozuna, Kama, Bam Bam Bigelow & The Big Bossman (w/ Mr. Fuji and Harvey Whippleman) (17 mins) It's a big challenge for Taker, who is facing a lot of big men even though he has a good team by his side. Yokozuna gets counted out early after he splashes Crush on the floor and can't come back to the ring on time, while Crush needs to be stretchered out too due to the bump. Taker pins Bigelow with the tombstone at the end, to survive and win the match
4. Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Jim Duggan & Tatanka def. Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Bob Backlund & The Genius (24 mins) As mentioned above, Perfect is back in action and helps Flair in his battle against Hogan and Savage. A big part of the focus is on Perfect and his redemption, as he shockingly pins Hogan early in the match when the referee doesn't see that Flair is holding Hogan's ankle to the ground. The heels dominate the match, but a big miscommunication between Perfect and Flair cost them the match and makes Savage win and survive
So yeah, post 'Mania VIII the roster gets quite bad... especially with Hogan, Savage and Flair all leaving soon

Post Survivor Series 1992 - Monday Night Raw has been created! - Randy Savage candidates himself as the favourite to win the Royal Rumble and wants another shot as hit frenemy Hulk Hogan. Other big contenders are Undertaker (who debuts in a Rumble), the undefeated Yokozuna and last year's winner Ric Flair - Mr. Perfect pin Hogan in a tag match and gains a title shot, something that Ric Flair doesn't truly appreciate - Lex Luger debuts in the WWF and announces he will wrestle his first match at the Rumble - The Steiner Brothers debut in the WWF and aim at the Tag Titles straight away
WWF Royal Rumble 24.01.1993 Sacramento, CA
1. WWF IC Title: Bret Hart (c) def. Marty Jannetty (16 mins) Bret and Jannetty have fought a lot of times during the Harts/Rockers feud, however today they have a common enemy in Shawn Michaels and they also teamed at Survivor Series. The match is clean and showcase a lot of matwork, Bret applies the sharpshooter and wins it without any controversy
2. Lex Luger def. Jim Powers (6 mins) Luger debuts and of course he goes over, in a showcase match that is an attraction of its own to be honest. It's pointless to give Luger a great opponent, both because I need some starpower in the Rumble and because the match needs to be short anyway. Powers has a good body, but Luger destroys him
3. WWF Tag Titles: The Steiner Brothers def. Money Inc. (c) (w/ Jimmy Hart) by countout (10 mins) As mentioned, the Steiners want the gold as soon as they start (their run is quite short anyway) but Money Inc is determined to keep the belts to keep making more cash. After a few minutes of crazy suplexes, DiBiase and IRS decide to leave the ring to decide to lose without losing the titles too
4. WWF Title: Hulk Hogan (c) def. Mr. Perfect (15 mins) First (and last) single WWF Title shot for Perfect on PPV, the match is built around Perfect's ability and the myth that Hogan will struggle against a technician after slaying all the monsters he did in his career. Perfect can lead the match, while Hogan sells it well and gets him final comeback to retain the title
5. Royal Rumble Match: The Undertaker wins by eliminating Yokozuna (59 mins). Participants: Taker, Yoko, Doink, Bossman, Rick S, Scott S, Beverly, Beverly, Michaels, Backlund, Bigelow, Razor, Kamala, Flair, Kama, Lawler, Tenryu, Keirn, Koko, Samu, Taylor, Demento, Tatanka, Fatu, Earthquake, Colon, Santana, Martel, Owen and Savage. Michaels and Razor shine during the match, making good performances. Final four: #8 Flair, #17 Savage, #20 Taker and #26 Yokozuna. Flair and Savage end up eliminating one another. Taker fights with the not movable Yoko, struggling a bit until he shockingly eliminates him. Taker goes to 'Mania, for his first title shot

Post Royal Rumble 1993 - Hulk Hogan vs. Undertaker is set for WrestleMania IX, in Taker's first title shot ever - Mr. Perfect turns babyface after an argument with Ric Flair and defeats him in a Loser Leaves WWF match on Raw - Shawn Michaels goes over Marty Jannetty in a long Raw main event and challenges for the IC Title - Lex Luger keeps his undefeated streak and so does Yokozuna - Owen Hart gets injured when trying a highspots while tagging with Bret against Money Inc, he will miss WrestleMania because of it
WWF WrestleMania IX 04.04.1993
Paradise, NV
1. Razor Ramon def. Mr. Perfect (15 mins) Perfect is a babyface for the first time here and gets in an argument with his ex partner Razor, who criticizes his behaviour change and gets even more cocky than Perfect was. Perfect is on a redemption path, but here he gets beaten by Razor, whose push gets bigger and bigger
2. The Headshrinkers (w/ Afa) def. The Nasty Boys (7 mins) Two large tag teams with such different in ring styles, both teams want to win to get a title shot in the near future and there is no need for a complicated storyline here. Nasty Boys are on their way out and lose clean to the samoans
3. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Luna Vachon) def. Tatanka (9 mins) Bigelow starts coming to the ring with Luna, as their looks would match quite well. Tatanka is having a decent push himself and can be a savage too like BBB due to his character. However there not much Tatanka can do, as Bigelow is on a roll and beats him quite easily
4. Lex Luger def. Randy Savage (11 mins) Luger is annoying everyone with his vain attitude and Savage steps in, as he's pretty much Mr. WWF now, and vows to change Luger's attitude. Their WCW matches were nothing special, but it can hopefully be a good angle and help Luger's push, as he would cheat to beat Macho Man here
5. Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) def. Crush (5 mins) Crush won't be bullied or intimidated by Yokozuna and holds his own for a bit, but he can't slam his opponent as no one has ever done it before, which costs him the match. Yoko squashes Crush and then also finishes him postmatch
6. WWF IC Title: Shawn Michaels (w/ Sherri) def. Bret Hart (c) (20 mins) Bret and Shawn continue their super long feud, which has gone from competitiveness to dislike here. Bret is a proud champion, while Shawn is quite cocky and arrogant. The match would be good, also thanks to the involvement of other people like Jannetty and Owen in the build up. Shawn picks up the win and gets his first singles title, which also frees Bret...
7. WWF Tag Titles: The Steiner Brothers def. Money Inc. (c) (w/ Jimmy Hart) (12 mins) As Money Inc have been hiding and abusing dirty tactics, there must be a winner here and belts will change hands also with DQ or CO finishes. This affects the psychology of the bout and would make hopefully a compact and engaging match, with Money Inc cheating here and there without going too far. The Steiners win the belts clean anyway
8. WWF Title: The Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Hulk Hogan (c) (14 mins) This would be the closest thing to a Hogan heel turn in 1993, as Hulk is in panic for the first time in his life: Andre, DiBiase, Macho and all the others never frightened him the way the cold, calm and merciless Taker does. Hogan thinks he's the babyface by trying to do heel things to prevail for his Hulkamaniacs, while Taker looks like a heel but is cheered and takes no shortcuts. Original psychology that will carry the match as the ring action itself wouldn't be anything special. Hogan slams Taker and goes for the legdrop, but Taker sits up and finishes Hogan with the tombstone to win the title

Post WrestleMania IX - Undertaker is the new WWF champion and invites the whole roster to fight him - Hulk Hogan is written out of TV for a month when Yokozuna attacks him on Raw - The King of the Ring concept is created, with elimination matches and the final taking place at the June PPV. A title shot for Summer Slam is on the line - Shawn Michaels wants to protect the IC Title and so hires the debuting Diesel as his bodyguard - Owen Hart is back from his injury - Randy Savage takes a break from in ring action and joins the commentary team on Raw - 1-2-3 Kid debuts by upsetting Razor Ramon with a roll up and getting an incredible win on Raw - The Smoking Gunns make their debut
WWF King of the Ring 13.06.1993
Dayton, OH
1. Owen Hart def. Marty Jannetty (13 mins) It's a face vs. face match, but Owen gets really offended when Jannetty says that he understands Owen as HBK has more success than him, just like Bret is more popular than Owen. Hart wants to impress everyone and wins with his brother's sharpshooter
2. The Smoking Gunns def. Money Inc. (w/ Jimmy Hart) (8 mins) The Gunns are seen as a babyface due to the cowboy gimmick, while of course Money Inc plays the heels here. DiBiase is upset about losing the belts and gives a last shot to IRS, which doesn't go as expected as the Gunns prevail by pinning IRS
3. Razor Ramon def. 1-2-3 Kid (10 mins) Razor gets a PPV rematch, as he is desperate to avenge his Raw loss against Kid. Kid is still the underdog, but the storytelling of the match sees Razor making mistakes due to his anger and this almost costs him the match again. Razor wins at the end, but postmatch him and Kid hug, turning Razor babyface
4. King of the Ring Finals: Lex Luger def. Bret Hart (14 mins) Bret's stock in the WWF is quickly rising, while Luger is still undefeated and is the favourite here due to his momentum. Part of the angle can be revolved around Luger's vanity, as he would pose with the tournament's crown and sceptre, hitting Bret with the latter to help him finishing the unconscious opponent with the tortures rack
5. WWF Tag Titles: The Steiner Brothers (c) def. The Headshrinkers (w/ Afa) (10 mins) The samoans are getting a good push and face the Steiners again, after dueling with them in 1993 as DiBiase's hitmen. Both teams like to go right to action, which encourages 10 quick minutes without too much limb work or stalling. Steiners get the best after a short but intense war
6. WWF IC Title: Shawn Michaels (c) (w/ Diesel) def. Mr. Perfect (16 mins) HBK is on a roll, but Perfect's return to the ring has been a success and he keeps getting important wins, including pinning Michaels in a tag match con Raw. Perfect can be a good babyface here, embracing his own attitude issues but still seeing himself as better than Shawn. The sweet chin music finished Perfecrt, also thanks to Diesel
7. Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji) def. Hulk Hogan (11 mins) Hogan comes back from his little injury to get revenge on Yokozuna, who tried to put him out of action simply to get more visibility and prove he can get rid of the great Hogan. Hogan goes back to full old babyface mode against the foreigner monster, but Yoko gets a shocking victory thanks to the help of Fuji as well. Hogan was happy to lose to Yoko on his way out, so let's do it
8. WWF Title: The Undertaker (c) (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Luna Vachon) (13 mins)
This would have been a very enjoyable main event for me, as BBB could go and Taker knew how to get great matches with the right opponents. I'm not speeding things and using Attitude Era tricks, but these would have had a good ringside brawl and Bigelow bumping around really well for Taker. The Deadman struggles, but manages to hit the tombstone to retain

Post King of the Ring 1993 - Undertaker vs. Lex Luger for the WWF Title is set for Summer Slam - Hulk Hogan disappears from the WWF after losing to Yokozuna - Speaking of Yoko, his new manager Jim Cornette campaigns for him and wants the gold - Owen Hart insists on teaming with his brother Bret, who reluctantly accepts as he wanted to focus on single competition - Razor Ramon and 1-2-3 Kid are now an occasional team after Razor's babyface turn - Ted DiBiase has disbanded Money Inc and decides to do things by himself now - The Quebecers and their manager Johnny Polo have debuted
WWF Summer Slam 30.08.1993 Auburn Mills, MI
1. Marty Jannetty def. 1-2-3 Kid (13 mins)
I'd love to use them as a regular tag team as the division will sink quite low soon, but with Jannetty's unregular stints it would be really difficult to find consistency. Another face vs face opener based on workrate more than a heated storyline, Jannetty picks up the win here as Kid keeps on learning
2. The Quebecers (w/ Johnny Polo) def. The Smoking Gunns (8 mins) Quite a natural dislike here due to their respective gimmicks. Gunns had a good start, but so are the Quebecers and they can go quite over as heels due to their annoying ways. Will need a heel team soon, so the Canadians go over in a dirty way
3. Bam Bam Bigelow (w/ Luna Vachon) def. Doink (4 mins) So I got Bigelow that needs to get some heat back after losing to Undertaker and not a great roster, so I thought of this... not a fan of Doink and haven't given him any spare so far, but here Bigelow just destroys and proves again to be a mean badass heel
4. Mr. Perfect def. Ted DiBiase (11 mins) This is pretty much DiBiase's last match and someone that has been as important as him needs to go out in a big way. Perfect mocks DiBiase for not being able to buy gold with his money and DiBiase puts his career on the line, then getting defeated. Crowd chants goodbye to DiBiase postmatch
5. Yokozuna (w/ Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette) def. Randy Savage (10 mins) With Yoko putting Hogan out of action and Cornette praising his new client all over the WWF, Savage steps in as usual and Mr. WWF plans on giving Yoko his first loss and avenging his frenemy Hogan. However, a distraction for Cornette is instrumental and Yoko gets another huge win here
6. WWF IC Title: Razor Ramon def. Shawn Michaels (c) (w/ Diesel) (18 mins) Razor is really popular as a babyface, also with fangirls, which infuriates Michaels of course. What's also on the line is the reputation of being the best pure athlete on the roster, as their both take pride in it and a genuine rivalry starts. The end of the match is quite controversial, as the referee gets bumped and doesn't see a (dirty) Michaels pin on Razor, plus the second one gives Razor the win even though Diesel helps Michaels putting his foot on the rope
7. WWF Tag Titles: The Steiner Brothers (c) draw Bret Hart & Owen Hart (20 mins) Owen wants him and Bret challenge for the tag titles saying their parents would be so proud and Bret is pretty much forced to accept. The Steiners are quite happy to face Bret, but disrespect Owen a bit due to his spoiled behaviour. The match goes for 20 minutes before the time limit draw. Bret shakes his opponents' hands after a hard fought match, while Owen has a hissy fit and leaves the ring upset
8. WWF World Title: The Undertaker (c) (w/ Paul Bearer) def. Lex Luger (12 mins) Not as technically sound as the two previous matches, but hopefully a good hyped match that never headlined anything in real life even though I am happy to give it a chance as Taker can work with everybody and heel Luger in '93 wasn't too bad. Luger's vanity and being a primadonna just fades in front of Taker, so Luger needs to embrace his toughest side to face the Deadman. He does ok, but Taker defeats him with the tombstone
