Time to announce the next tour!
 Giant Baba steps into the press conference room and takes a seat as pictures are taken of him as he picks up the mic.
"Hello everyone, I am here today to announce our next tour. It will be the Excite series and it will last 11 Days and end on the Final Saturday of the Month. The only match announced for the tour finale is Jun Akiyama vs Akira Taue. We hope to see you guys throughout the tour and thank you for showing up today!"

Press Conference to Announce all the matches for the opener to the Excite Series!
Giant Baba would step into the room, smiling at the reporters and speaking clearly into the mic to announce the card.
"Hello everybody! I have came here today to announce all the matches for the opening day of the Excite Series which will be held in Korakuen Hall!
the main event will be Jun Akiyama, Owen Hart, and Takao Omori vs Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue, and Masanobu Fuchi
the co-main event will be Kenta Kobashi, Osamu Nishimura and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi vs. Mitsuharu Misawa, Hayabusa, and Yoshihiro Tajiri
the 3rd match will be Nobuhiko Takeda, Gedo, and Jado vs Vader, Johnny Ace and Maunakea Mossman
the 2nd match will be Steve Williams, Yoshihiro Takayama, and Takeshi Morishima vs Minoru Suzuki, Kazushi Sakuraba and Akira Maeda

The show starts off as per usual with the NTV sports march blasting
    
In a decent match, Gary Albright and Yoshinari Ogawa defeated Kentaro Shiga and Yoshinobu Kanemaru in 7:02 when Gary Albright defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru by pinfall.
Albright dominated the match, and proved his power without having to tag in Ogawa once.
Rating: 75 B-
     
In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Triangle of Power (Steve Williams, Takeshi Morishima and Yoshihiro Takayama) defeated Minoru Suzuki, Kazushi Sakuraba and Akira Maeda in 14:12 when Steve Williams defeated Kazushi Sakuraba by pinfall with a Backdrop Driver.
Rating: 81 B
     
In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Vader, Johnny Ace and Maunakea Mossman defeated Sternness (Nobuhiko Takada, Jado and Gedo) in 15:12 when Vader defeated Gedo by pinfall with a Power Bomb.
In terms of in-ring work, Nobuhiko Takada was head and shoulders above everyone else.

In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Burning (Kenta Kobashi, Osamu Nishimura and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi) defeated Super Generation Army (Mitsuharu Misawa, Hayabusa and Yoshihiro Tajiri) in 17:46 when Kenta Kobashi defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri by pinfall with a Burning Lariat
Yoshihiro Tajiri was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.
Rating: 91 A
Post Match, Misawa grabs the mic and looks at Kobashi.
"Kobashi, almost a year ago now, you beat me fair and square in the Tokyo Dome for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship. You brought me to my limit like no one had done before and our match was special and made me respect you more then I already did. Kobashi I have yet to avenge that lose. We might not main event the end of this tour, but I would like to finally have a rematch with you. One on One, for the championship before the Champion Carnival.
Kobashi would walk up to Misawa and shake his hand with a smile before patting him on the back, confirming the match!!!
     
In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Holy Demon Army (Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue and Masanobu Fuchi) defeated Sternness (Jun Akiyama, Owen Hart and Takao Omori) in 22:05 when Toshiaki Kawada defeated Owen Hart by pinfall with a High-Angle Power Bomb.
Sternness would use a lot of dirty tactics and get close to the win, but their cockiness is what cost them as Jun hit an exploder, but tagged out to Owen and looked away as Kawada hit the powerbomb!!!
Rating: 92 A
After the match, Kawada would look at Hart on the mat and grab a mic.
"So you guys just continue to cheat to win tour matches and think none of this matters right? Because Jun is still champion and he's the top guy in the company right? Last time I checked, Kobashi had the most T-Shirt sales, the Holy Demon Army had the most faction-based sales, Misawa is still on the front of the posters, and Baba still doesn't see you as the top guy Jun. Now Jun, I can't lie, your defenses have been tough and you've defended the title fairly, but against Taue you have no chance. He's gonna take the belt from you, and then the Holy Demon Army will be noticed as the top guys we truly are. As for you Owen and Omori, Omori you are just a lacky, behind Takeda and Hart, but Hart, you are Jun's second and I personally want to bring you down a peg and kick your ass to end this tour, and I'm sure Baba would love to give me that match."
With that, Kawada throws the mic and walks off with the Holy Demon Army, gaining a lot of momentum to start off the tour.
