Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Marc Mero.
The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer vs. Goldust w/ Bodyguard & Marlena
During the bout between The Undertaker and Goldust, Mankind revealed that he had not gone to the back after his win over Jake Roberts, but instead climbed under the ring while the arena was dark. During the match he emerged through the floor of the ring, grabbed the Undertaker by the foot and then dragged him down under the ring with him. This led to a disqualification victory for the Undertaker after the interference.
The two brawled all the way to the back of the arena, into the building's boiler room.
Six-man tag team match
The People's Posse w/ José Lothario vs. Camp Cornette w/ Jim Cornette
Camp Cornette (The British Bulldog, Owen Hart and Vader with Jim Cornette) versus The People's Posse (Ahmed Johnson, Shawn Michaels and The Ultimate Warrior with José Lothario).
The main event saw the Camp Cornette (The British Bulldog, Owen Hart and Vader with Jim Cornette) team victorious as Vader pinned Shawn Michaels following interference from Jim Cornette himself. |

The WWF Intercontinental Championship Tournament is a tournament to decide a new WWF Intercontinental Champion after previous champion Ahmed Johnson forfeited the title. He suffered injuries to both kidneys when he was attacked by the debuting Faarooq after winning an 11-man battle royal for the No 1 Contership to earn him a title shot at the winner between Shawn Michaels or Vader.
