I have just started to play the mod WOTI VI in TEW2020 and decided to own and book ECW-R, or WWECW. I already have an ECW save I am playing as well but thought it could be an interesting challenge. I am having some questions about how to book the ECW-R promotion since ECW already exists. I was going to book it like the old ECW but this ECW isn't run the same. From the way the product is described, it is not so extreme. The roster has potential but not sure how to book the storylines since nothing risky is cared for. I have one championship which is called the ECW Championship. Do I add more belts? I would like to add tag team belts, once I figure out if I want a larger roster with more teams. It is a small promotion so I do not expect to sign any big name stars for a while. I do want to hire more Eye Candy and what good in-ring performers I can. I watched the run of this show when it was on and sometimes I liked it but overall I found it very weak as far as storylines and any exciting matches went. So I guess that could be my challenge. In WOTI VI I am basically at war with the original ECW so that could be part of my storylines. What are you ideas?!?

So ECW-R is a evolved product that have a broader mainstream appeal? I would at least add some tag team belts and maybe also a lightweight title to showcase cruiserweights. I really like your idea of making a storyline of the rivalry with the original ECW. When the promotion grows you could make a storyline if you manage to steal original ECW talent. Invasion storyline?

Hi, thanks for the reply and input. There are so many details in TEW 2020 that I can tell it will take me a while to understand it all and pick all of my settings. I am currently trying to hire Jerry Lynn. I would like to hire the Motor City Machine Guns too. I do not have Japan as an active territory so I might scoop up some Japanese talent if I can hire them. I have definitely thought of hiring cruiserweights. Given it is the WOTI mod there are a lot to choose from. I have tried to think of another name for the company but want to stick with ECW. Maybe "Elite Championship Wrestling"? From what the game says of the product it is anything but extreme. Being an extreme will actually be a detriment to growth. I have not run any shows yet. So I am not sure how my booking will be. I hope the ratings in the mod are not too low. Building babyface tag teams can be a real struggle because I have found SO many heels in the game. I can always see about changing them babyface though. Anyways, thanks for the reply and input and feel free to do it again.

Elite Championship Wrestling I like that idea. If you manage to get some Extreme talent that invades your promotion you can run a storyline where the Elite product is superior to the Extreme one. Your wrestlers have superior wrestling skills, but the invaders are hardcore brawlers and take no prisoners so they don't respect rules etc...

I like your ideas and appreciate the input! Last night I changed the company from ECW-R to E.C.W or Elite Championship Wrestling. I added tag team belts and a cruiser weight belt. I do not have the strongest roster at the moment but I have the heavyweights from the time of that roster. My top babyface is probably Tommy Dreamer but Elijah Burke seems to be my MVP top talent. I created a tournament to crown a new champion last night. The 2020 TEW is so detailed! I have gotten lost in the details but finally I am setting up my first card. It will be the tournament and some angles and vignettes probably. I am really interested in using the New Blood stable with Matt Stryker as their mouthpiece. I am working on hiring a new announcement team including Jim Cornette for colour. I am trying to hire on Jerry Lynn currently. The WOTI mod gives me the option to hire Jack Briscoe which is exciting and I would say he is an elite wrestler. I have Nattie Neidhart and Victoria starting a possible Women's Division. Anyways, that is what I am up to with this particular save. I do still love TEW 2016 and will probably return to that game sooner than later but do want to continue TEW 2020, even though the options and settings can go over my head at times. Oh yeah! I am also trying to hire Bryan Danielson who is one of my all-time favorites.

So maybe try to get any of the veteran talent from the early days of Eastern Championship Wrestling as active wrestlers or managers. They could play a important part as traditionalists and loyalists.
Then any Extreme Championship Wrestling talent you can pick up are the invading foe that are pro-Hardcore. So that the storyline is hardcore vs. tradiotionalists.

This could be a good to great storyline to get my save going and get some good ratings. I think I might still have hardcore wrestlers in my roster but mostly I am trying to hire more "elite" wrestlers. Having some old school Easter Championship Wrestling wrestlers invade could be good. Play it out over a couple of months as the main storyline maybe. Hopefully my Women's Division gets over.

Last night I signed Marafuji, Naito, and Ibushi to my Elite Championship Wrestling roster. I forgot to mention that Sgt. Slaughter is on my roster LOL. There was a decent match between him and my top talent, Samoa Joe.

He is a solid veteran. Always good to have a bunch of them.
