Great card! Looks like all of your matches were properly booked with the right about of time for what they are. I enjoy the finish of the main event because it protects both men. Your naming convention reminds of the wrestling games of old having to rename the characters in the game because of licensing. Are you going to have a rock band play WrestleRock '92? That was a pretty big year for Rock! The artists are definitely not in the game but it would be fun to imagine a major label band playing a couple of songs during the show. Thanks lot! I'm so glad you read! I feel like writing the whole year at once lol. I really like the renaming thing. I've said it before, I think creating new characters and giving them new gimmicks should be a natural part of being the booker. That's why they get a little mad at me, but whatever. I want to create my own imaginary gimmicks, take them to matches and give them first pushes like that. For example, when I got Glenn Jacobs he was just like 24 or something. I think it's ridiculous to give Jacobs the character of "Kane" as soon as he gets it and book it that way. Because real life is not like that and his just 24. You must be "Isaac Yankem" before you become "Kane". Kane gimmick is the top point of Jacobs' career. And it seems incredibly absurd to me to pretend to reach this peak at the age of 24, albeit an imaginary one. Also, I would have wasted this character by getting very, very low ratings. But instead I tried to something by creating a character named "The Basilisk" from him. It sucked and even his contract ran out, I didn't renew it. The Basilisk character was also suitable for that era, half human-half snake. A some silly cartoonish character. But it sucked and now this character is gone. And it just seems to me like it could happen in real life. I guess I'll have to create a character guide and write down all the details. I can understand what people who read it will think. "Terry Mawashi? Who the F is he?" This is so normal. That's why I write who is who under every show post. Of course, that may not be enough. That's why the idea of writing a character guide has clearly occurred in my head now. The idea of a rock concert at the WrestleRock is great! I will definitely try this. Probably this year Nirvana will be a guest on the show, playing Smells Like Teen Spirit or whatever lol

Eddie Guerrero (w/Salazar Luuv) defeated Lionheart in 3:32 Eddie pinned Lionheart with Frog Splash. Mike Enos (w/Adnan Al-Kaissie) defeated Chris Candido in 7:15 Enos pinned Candido with Double Underhook DDT. With Enos winning the match, the United Nations of Terror intimidated the entire United States. Greg Valentine (w/Diamond Dallas Page) defeated Fatu in 7:41 Valentine pinned Fatu with Piledriver after Diamond Dallas Page interfered. After the show of Gauntlet 8, Valentine made his first single in-ring debut with this match. Cage of Hellhole Participation Match | Nikita Koloff defeated Butch Reed (w/James Sandoval) in 10:47 Nikita pinned Butch with Russian Sickle. After Sandoval, Butch was also unable to attend the CoH match. However, AWA World Tag Team champions Black Panthers Rising didn't look too unhappy and made their way backstage with their belts up. Nikita thus became the sixth person to participate in the CoH match. The remaining four seats will be filled in the coming weeks.
NOTES 📌 Sid cut a promo in the ring about the AWA World title match that no contest ending last Saturday. He said he wanted no one to interfere in his affairs, including Pillman and Steamboat. "Last night, I would have shoved that clown in the ring if no one had intervened. But it didn't. Rick Rude, or Ventura, whoever's in the back right now. I want my rematch! I want it right now today!" 📌 Star Review with Tully Blanchard - This week's theme is Greg Valentine, who debuted on the Gauntlet 8 as DDP's secret partner. Blanchard loved his “The Hollywood Hammer” gimmick. He teaches “potential wrestler candidates” who watch the show on their screens by replaying important moments from their tag team match with Pro UK, which they won. He also wanted one of the "I HATE UK ATHLETES" t-shirts for himself. 📌 Connecting to the announce table by phone, Ventura reported that they did not accept Sid's request for a rematch. He pointed to the special clause in Rude's contract with the AWA, saying that Rude was both very busy and needed to rest. Frank Reed, head of the AWA at the announce table, also confirmed the existence of this specific clause: “We cannot take any action as management in this situation.” 📌 Eric Bischoff, who has been investigating the power behind the Rental Killers for weeks, is attacked backstage by the Rental Killers. Bischoff, who was badly beaten, is in bad shape. It seems that this mysterious power has no intention of appearing yet and wanted to undermine this research. 📌 It has been announced that Rick Rude will be on the show next week.

Ricky Steamboat and Brian Pillman defeated Cave State Boys (Bart Sawyer and Leif Cassidy) in 6:06 Pillman pinned Cassidy with Air Pillman. Both sides were face and congratulated each other after the match. Mike Enos (w/Adnan Al-Kaissie) defeated Mike Barton in 4:08 Enos pinned Barton with Super Fallaway Slam. Enos and Barton's in-ring chemistry successfully matched. Dave Taylor (w/Jeannie Clark) defeated Doug Furnas (w/Paul Ellering) in 6:38 via DQ After Ellering's interference from outside the ring, the referee disqualified Furnas. The rating of the match was terrible. Street Fight | Dr. Painkiller (w/Tim Runnel) defeated Jizo in 11:37 Painkiller pinned Jizo with Powerslam. Painkiller brought a stretcher to the ringside while coming to the match. Runnel somehow threw this stretcher into the ring at the end of the match, and Painkiller powerslamed his opponent on it and gets the pinfall. After the match, he tied his opponent to this stretcher with a belt and most likely took him to his clinic.
NOTES 📌 Due to Eric Bischoff's attack on Championship Wrestling, he was unable to act as an announcer on this show. Rod Trongard was the announcer in his place. 📌 Dr. Painkiller and Tim Runnel said in their cut promo that they want their issue with Jizo to be settled tonight. Runnel invites Jizo to a Street Fight match right away tonight. 📌 The NB Show – Sid was a guest in this previously shot and taped segment. Sid said he needed neither Brian Pillman's nor Ricky Steamboat's help. He added that he would retake the AWA title and single-handedly do it like a Titan. 📌 Jerry Lawler re-introduces Chris Youngblood to us with a backstage promo. Chris Youngblood, the young and charismatic talent that Razor, who wrestled in the AWA last year and later left because of detained, got into a drug quagmire and rescued after long efforts, will now be his new companion. “I will train him, I will raise him. Chris will be my new project. Who knows, maybe he's a better teammate than Ricky." (qq v: Championship Wrestling - Episode 26 - Wk 2, Jul 91 - Segment #1) 📌 At the close of the show, we witnessed Sid being attacked on the street by Rental Killers members Ed Ewers and Tom Lindman. After a while, Pillman and Steamboat rescued him, as in the last show. Sid showed his gratitude by shaking their hand.

AWA Championship Wrestling Monday, Week 1, April 1992
🎙️ Announcers - Rod Trongard, Frank Reed and Mr. T 🏟️ Attendance - 2,000 *SOLD OUT* 📺 Rating - 0.60 ✍️ Show Grade - C+ (68) 🎖️ CHAMPIONS 🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Title: Rick Rude AWA International Television Title: Owen Hart AWA World Tag Team Titles: Black Panthers Rising (Butch Reed and James Sandoval)
Jerry Lawler and Chris Youngblood defeated The Pitbulls (Pitbull #1 and Pitbull #2) in 6:22 Lawler pinned Pitbull #2 with Diving Fist Drop. Youngblood won his first match with his mentor and savior, Lawler. Cage of Hellhole Participation Match | Mike Enos (w/Adnan Al-Kaissie) defeated Nikita Koloff in 7:24 by count out At the end of the match, which started after the microphone duel, Nikita almost won, but footage of Nikita's uncle Ivan Koloff being tortured in an Iraqi prison camp appeared on the big screen. When Nikita realized this, he was horrified and left the match and ran backstage. In this way, Enos won by count out. Thus, Nikita lost his right to participate in Cage of Hellhole a week later, which he won last week. Diamond Dallas Page and Greg Valentine defeated Cave State Boys (Bart Sawyer and Leif Cassidy) in 6:52 Valentine submitted Cassidy with Figure Four Leglock. DDP and Valentine continued to wrestle with "I HATE UK ATHLETHES" t-shirts. Rick Rude, King Kong Bundy and Red Hook Machine (w/Jesse Ventura) defeated Sid, Brian Pillman and Ricky Steamboat in 11:09 Bundy pinned Sid with a Ventura's outside interference. Before the match started, Ventura announced that he had lied about wrestling tonight, and that he had actually set an opponent for Sid instead of himself: KING KONG BUNDY! He walked into the ring with his eerie appearance, joining Rude and Red Hook's team. The heel side won the match, thanks to the momentum they captured in this way.
NOTES 📌 Due to what happened last week at the show's opening, Sid, Pillman and Steamboat challenged the Unorthodox Cirice (Rude, Ventura, Red Hook) crew as a full squad for the first time. This time, they wanted Ventura to wrestle for the first time as well. Ventura, who appeared at the entrance, said that they accepted the challenge and that he would even wrestle tonight. 📌 Adnan Al-Kaissie and fresh United Nations of Terror member Mike Enos slapped Nikita in their promo. Adnan declared Nikita a traitor, saying that he had openly betrayed them. He brought the subject up to one of the first UNOT members and former AWA World Tag Team champion, as well as Nikita's uncle, Ivan Koloff, talking about what a "cowardly soldier" he was. “It is probably because of his own stupidity that he was shot and became a veteran. We cannot achieve our goals because of the idiots among us.” Upon all these words, Nikita finally came to the ring and confronted Adnan. He threatened others by saying that his family should never be mentioned with this disgusting organization again. After a while, Adnan says that Nikita does not deserve the right to participate in the Cage of Hellhole, and that "brave athletes with goals" like Enos should have it, Nikita immediately challenges. Moreover, the right to participate in the Cage of Hellhole match will be on the line. 📌 After the Rental Killers members mutilated Eric Bischoff, an enraged Frank Reed calls out Ken Patera, the apparent leader of the Rental Killers, to confront him. Without further ado, Frank asked who was helping them financially. Patera, on the other hand, very calmly said that it is a trade secret and that he will not share this information, adding: “We only care about making money. Any sportive success, belts, winning matches… We don't care about anything. We just do what we're told for certain fees.” 📌 It was announced that the 32nd anniversary of the founding of the AWA will be celebrated at the Championship Wrestling show next week.
QUICK NEWS 📰 Signed Charles Wright and King Kong Bundy 📰 Released Don Muraco 📰 World War III PPV for November has been renamed World at War. 📰 Roster list updated. (First page of this thread)

NOTES 📌 Bischoff, who was attacked by the Rental Killers in the past weeks, returned to announce this show. 📌 We remembered Jizo being taken to his clinic by Painkiller after the stretcher match last week. We watched a dark promo in this clinic with screaming from behind. Painkiller and Runnel talked about Jizo's condition: "Unfortunately, the surgery was not successful. Jizo's condition is not good. But even better than before.” While they were laughing, the promo ended. 📌 The NB Show with Nick Bockwinkel – Frank Reed says they haven't gotten very far in their Rental Killers research. So does Red Hook Machine look just like later day Taz, or does he have a new gimmick? Actually yes, just a little bit more brawler, a punk who grew up on the streets of Brooklyn. After Rude left the company, I want to give him a little more push. I'm just waiting for his popularity to increase a little more.
