Dynamite Kid and Brian Christopher (w/Dave Taylor and Jeannie Clark) defeated The Can-Am Express (Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon) (w/Paul Ellering) in 7:25 Due to the high number of people at the ringside, there was a lot of interference in the match. As a result of Ellering's constant distraction from the apron, the referee decided to disqualify his team and gave the match to Dynamite and his young teammate Christopher. 🎖️ AWA International Television Championship | Diamond Dallas Page (w/Greg Valentine) defeated Owen Hart (w/Jackie Fargo) (c) in 9:45 TITLE CHANGE!!! NOTES 📌 At the show's opening, it was announced that Dt. Daxton Hartweck had disappeared. After a phone call about Rental Killers during the week, we learned that he went to meet with someone and that we could not hear from him afterwards. 📌 Mick Foley and Sandman duo, who were formed last week and took their first defeat, talked to each other at the locker room and agreed that this team would not work and they should not continue. Thus, our short-lived team was disbanded. In this segment, Foley improvised successfully. 📌 We're watching the second promo of Lanny the Clever. This time he scoffed at Sid: "Let's talk about Sid, one of the last AWA champions. Sid, I know all his weak points. I watched all of your matches. I watched how you became a champion. I also watched how you lost the championship. I know your weak points. We will meet one day. And then While I know everything about you, you will know nothing about me. WHO IS WHO || Dt. Daxton Hartweck is Charles Wright, Lanny The Clever is Lanny Poffo

This show format is really good, with the emojis and all. There's only one thing I'd change, I'd point out where the promos are located in the highlights too, so it adds a bit more of realism to it. You have an amazing roster too.

🎙️ Announcers - Eric Bischoff and Nick Bockwinkel 🏟️ Attendance - 836 📺 Rating - 0.02 ✍️ Show Grade - C- (58) 🎖️ CHAMPIONS 🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Title: Larry Zbyszko AWA International Television Title: Diamond Dallas Page AWA World Tag Team Titles: Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit
Samu (w/Afa and Fatu) defeated John Kronus in 4:41 Samu pinned Kronus with Diving Headbutt.
STAR REVIEW WITH TULLY BLANCHARD - Blanchard reviews AWA World champion Larry Zbyszko this week. We will watch again the match he retained his belt against Chris Benoit last Monday. Blanchard says that with this match, a very clear truth emerged: There are no new wrestlers in the AWA who can take down experienced wrestlers like them, and it is not likely to happen. Blanchard was a bit surprised in this segment and got an average rating. Dean Malenko defeated Eric Embry in 8:31 Malenko submitted Embry with Texas Cloverleaf.
SEGMENT - DDP, who took over the AWA International Television title last Monday, makes a phone call backstage. After a while, it is understood that he was seeing someone from Hollywood. We can understand from this phone call why DDP is so eager to seize the belt. He was looking for sponsors for his new film project. He thought that by gaining the belt and increasing his prestige, he could get more investment in his new film this way. However, as it was understood from the phone call, he could not find a sponsor again. Mike Enos (w/Adnan Al-Kaissie) defeated Robert Gibson (w/Ricky Morton) in 8:57 Enos pinned Gibson with Super Fallaway Slam after Adnan interfered. Enos has made his first appearance since WrestleRock tonight. Adnan and Morton did a good job at ringside. SEGMENT - Frank Reed tells Mick Foley that he has found a new teammate and will bring him in on Monday. He definitely wants Foley to be on the show on Monday. Foley desperately agrees, but in a very depressed mood. Greg Valentine and Jeff Jarrett (w/Diamond Dallas Page) defeated The Pitbulls (Pitbull #1 and Pitbull #2) in 11:50 Jarrett pinned Pitbull #1 with Piledriver. DDP, who was in a bad mood, acted extremely angry throughout the match. The moment one of the Pitbulls fell out of the ring, he mercilessly kicked him to the ground, underestimating the referee. Valentine's performance skills improved with this match. WHO IS WHO ||

🎙️ Announcers - Rod Trongard, Eric Bischoff and Mr. T 🏟️ Attendance - 4,088 📺 Rating - 0.64 ✍️ Show Grade - C (63) 🎖️ CHAMPIONS 🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Title: Larry Zbyszko AWA International Television Title: Diamond Dallas Page AWA World Tag Team Titles: Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit
SEGMENT - At the opening of the show, AWA champion Zbyszko gives a speech in the ring, announcing that he is the face of the company again. However, after a while, the conversation is interrupted by Brian Pillman. Pillman goes through a recap reminding that he has been fighting for the AWA title since last year, but was always somehow prevented from winning the title by external factors. He then openly challenges: "I've been waiting since SuperClash, now I want to get a chance again! I want to be a champion!” Zbyszko “are you sure about that?” he answers with a smile. He leaves without saying anything. This was the best segment of the show.
SEGMENT - The third promo video of Lanny the Clever, which will be coming to AWA soon, is on the screen. This time Lanny attacks Steamboat: "Ricky Steamboat, I respected you once. But deep inside I always thought you were an idiot. I felt it. Maybe you didn't know you were, but you were. I can't change the facts. Every time you lost the championship last year, I was there. I watched you. I figured out why you lost. You're a naive-hearted person. Naive-hearted means pathetic. I've never been pathetic. One day our paths will cross and then I won't be the pathetic one." This segment was another top rated segment of the show.
King Kong Bundy defeated Chris Candido in 5:04 Bundy pinned Candido with Knee Drop.
Cave State Boys (Bart Sawyer and Leif Cassidy) defeated The Heavenly Bodies (Tom Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray) in 7:33 Cassidy pinned Del Ray with Snow Plow. We learn that the Cave State Boys team will participate in the Team Challenge Series tournament.
SEGMENT - Frank Reed brings in a brand new teammate for Mick Foley, whom he's trying to reorient to pro wrestling and of course the AWA: BOB BACKLUND! Backlund comes into the ring, expressionless, and exchanges a glance with Foley. They shake hands hard. However, they never let go of their hands. The handshake continues for a full 5 minutes. Reed finally intervenes and separates their hands. “Gentlemen, you better get used to each other. Because you will be participating in the upcoming Team Challenge Series tournament!” Backlund and Foley are surprised and excited by this news.
James Sandoval defeated Brooklyn Brawler in 8:55 Sandoval pinned Brawler with Missile Dropkick. Sandoval made his first appearance since losing the AWA World Tag Team Championship. Brawler debuted with this match. He moved from the WWF to the AWA. For some reason, Butch Reed was not found at Sandoval's ringside.
SEGMENT - AWA International Television champion Diamond Dallas Page is cutting a promo with Greg Valentine. They openly announce that they will participate in the duo Team Challenge Series tournament. Their team names are ready, too: Model Antagonists. They were going to go to Hollywood and realize a new project by taking the half million dollars which is the grand prize of the tournament. We remember that last week, DDP made some phone traffic and was looking for resources. Apparently he was rejected. As such, he needed this money.
Brian Pillman defeated Mike Enos (w/Adnan Al-Kaissie) in 12:41 Pillman pinned Enos with Air Pillman. Pillman intimidated Zbyszko by making a belt mark on his waist after the match.

A five minute handshake is truly hilarious to think about It's weird to see Booker T as James Sandoval, but I actually like the name. I'm interested in a feud between Steamboat and Lanny.

I laughed a lot while writing it too LOL In fact, Backlund's in real life crazy gimmick is very funny. It could have been used incredibly well in the 90s. I guess I'll use him for half funny - half crazy storylines until his retirement.
