Punk says that all his life people like JBL have put him down and judged him, but now he's in a position to fight back and he will knock JBL’s teeth out of his arrogant mouth.)

(In the leadup to Summerslam, a Fatal 4-Way Match for the ECW Championship at Summerslam. Matt Hardy defeats Super Crazy, The Miz defeats Finlay, and John Morrison defeats The Big Show to earn their spots in the match. Both Miz and Morrison want another taste of gold after losing the tag titles, Matt hardy wants to become a World Champion, while Mark Herny wants to keep his ECW title reign alive.)
Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho in-ring segment
(Shawn Michaels walks out with his wife, Rebecca, to make the announcement that he is retiring. Chris Jericho interrupts and demands that Michaels admit that the real reason he is retiring is because of him. Michaels calls Jericho a vile and selfish human being and that Y2J should tell his family that he will never be like HBK. An incensed Jericho ends up accidentally punching Shawn’s wife. Jericho leaves the ring, unconcerned and remorseless, while Michaels tends to his wife.)

(On the Raw after The Great American Bash, Rey Mysterio picks up a shock win over Kane. They have a rematch the next week, with the World Heavyweight Title on the line, which ends after Kane low blows Rey, causing a DQ. The Big Red Machine then chokeslams Rey through the ring for further punishment. Kane explains his actions over the past month the next week, as he's sick of a masked like Rey rising his way to the top of the card, and wants to remove his mask, like he had to do with himself. Rey simply wants to win the world title back.)

Triple H (C) vs The Brian Kendrick w/Ezekiel Jackson
(Shortly following Backlash, Brian Kendrick turns on Paul London on an episode of Raw, turning Kendrick heel. Kendrick then assumes the persona of 'The Brian Kendrick'. The 2 later have a match on Raw to blow off their feud, which Kendrick wins after systematically picking apart London in what is Paul London's final match in the company. Following being moved over to Smackdown in the draft, The Brian Kendrick introduces his new bodyguard, Ezekiel Jackson. TBK later wins a 6-Pack Challenge over Umaga, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, and The Great Khali to become #1 contender to Triple H's WWE Championship. Kendrick says that he has been overlooked his whole career, all anyone has ever seen him as is some Cruiserweight used for opening matches, everyone thinks that's his ceiling, well guess what, he's The Brian Kendrick, and he's gonna show why everyone is overlooking him when he bitch slaps Triple H all across Indianapolis and becomes your new WWE Champion. Triple H says that Kendrick is in way over his head, this is first true big test in a 1-on-1 match, and at Summerslam, Kendrick won't rise up to the occasion.)
WWE Championship - Money in the Bank Cash in
Triple H (C) vs MVP (MITB Holder)
(After the match between Triple H and The Brian Kendrick, Kendrick's bodyguard Ezekiel Jackson lays out Triple H with a pair of Choke Bombs. While Kendrick and Jackson are walking to the back, MVP comes out and cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase. He hits The Game with one playmaker to win the WWE Championship)
Batista vs John Cena
(This match is made after a backstage confrontation between both men. Batista says he's not faced John Cena on the big stage before and challenges him. Cena accepts, saying he and Batista have been on top for the last few years and it's finally time to see who is better. Cena suffers a neck injury in this match.)
Hell in a Cell Match
Edge vs The Undertaker
(In the build, The Undertaker never shows up. After the incident at The Great American Bash, Edge becomes paranoid until he finally gets fed up and says that he doesn't believe 'Taker will show up at SummerSlam so he challenges him to a match in The Undertaker's playground. After the match, The Deadman chokeslams Edge through the ring and we still get the flames rising from below as SummerSlam goes off the air.)

(After inadvertently punching Shawn Michaels’ wife at SummerSlam, Chris Jericho comes out on Raw and says he had no remorse for what he did and that Michaels had it coming. The next week, Michaels returns and says he’ll never forgive Jericho for all the pain he has caused. He challenges Jericho to an unsanctioned match, which Jericho accepts. HBK says he wants to punish Y2J for everything he's done so far.)

In the build, Triple H invokes his rematch clause to get his belt back from MVP, Jeff Hardy still has unfinished business with MVP, The Brian Kendrick wants his rematch for the WWE Championship, while The Undertaker simply wants to move on from Edge and be WWE Champion again, and Triple H wants to prove he’s still the standard bearer for SmackDown. In the final seconds of the match while The Undertaker is the interim champion, Umaga (furious about not being in the match (he also doesn't tear his PLC at a house show)) comes out and lays out the Undertaker, and drags MVP over him)

(After becoming The World Heavyweight Champion at Unfrogiven, Christ Jericho still has unfinished business with The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. Jerichos says that at Unforgiven, he faced the wrath of that self-righteous lunatic Shawn Michaels, Shawn mauled him, the tip of his belt discoloured the flesh on his back, and even though Shawn's hand was raised and he was declared the winner,that match was unsanctioned, that means it wasn't official, so in essence, what did Shawn accomplish? Nothing, but what did he accomplish at Unforgiven? He has the living proof of what he accomplished in his possession. Shortly following his World title win, Jericho is informed he will be defending the World Heavyweight Championship, against Shawn Michaels, at No Mercy. HBK says that Jericho is wondering what more could he do to him and vice versa, that is not only thrilling, but will allow him to permanently disfigure Jericho, because you see that there's a match that some would say he helped revaloutionise, and if he's wondering what that means, it means it's gonna be The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels, vs Chris Jericho, for the World Heavyweight Championship, in a Ladder Match! Jericho responds, saying that he has won more high profile ladder matches than Shawn Michaels has ever appeared in, in his entire life, and now Shawn has trapped himself in a corner because in his quest to feed his ego, Shawn has requested a Ladder Match, when all he has done is given Le Champion a weapon of mass destruction, because there is not another man on the planet who knows how to cause harm with a ladder, and at No Mercy, the very last thing Shawn Michaels will see is this, Chris Jericho, still The World Heavyweight Champion. This is the same banger as IRL.)

(After losing at No Mercy, The Deadman challenges The Samoan Bulldozer to a last man standing match, which Vickie Guerrero accepts on Umaga's behalf. Vickie says that The Undertaker will pay for trying to intimidate her. 'Taker says that Umaga will not live to tell the tale. The match ends in a non-finish when Undertaker goes to chokeslam Umaga off a ladder through 4 tables, Umaga nails The Phenom with a Samoan Spike, causing Big Evil to fall forward with the former Jamal, as they both crash through the stack of 4 tables, failing to get up before the count of 10.)

(After getting past the challenge of Jeff Hardy at No Mercy, Montel Vontavious Porter moves on to his next challenger, Triple H, who never got his 1-on-1 rematch against MVP for the WWE Championship. Triple H says that MVP only won the WWE Championship by using the Money in the Bank briefcase, but when it's an even playing field, he's outmatched. MVP says that Triple H was given a preview on what happens when the 2 face off 1-on-1 when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, it's not gonna end well for Triple L. Since it's Cyber Sunday, the fans make Jeff Hardy the guest referee.)

(Shortly following Cyber Sunday, it's announced that John Cena will be returning at Survivor Series in his hometown of Boston Massachusetts, where Shane McMahon announces that Cena will challenge for The World Heavyweight Championship. Chris Jericho successfully defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Batista in a Steel Cage Match, which is a rematch from their Cyber Sunday clash. In the build to the match, John Cena doesn't show up, att all. Jericho says that Cena is too scared to publicly show his face before Survivor Series, he doesn't want to give him the satisfaction of humiliating him on more than 1 occasion, because at Survivor Series. he's gonna humiliate John Cena in front of his family and friends in Boston.)

Hardy says that it's great to see he taught Swagger a lesson in respect at Survivor Series, but now he's gonna have his big mouth shut at Armageddon.)

(Even though he was victorious over Batista's team at Survivor Series, Randy Orton continues to target Batista after Survivor Series. Orton thinks that Batista has gone soft and that he has surpassed The Animal in the last year. Batista says that Orton is just a cocky prick who isn’t even on his level. Despite interference from Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Batista wins with a Batista Bomb. The Legend Killer punts Batista out of frustration afterwards.)

John Cena (C) vs Chris Jericho
(Following his loss to Cena at Survivor Series, Y2J invokes his rematch clause against the man who took the World Heavyweight Championship from him at Survivor Series, John Cena. Jericho says that Cena embarrassed him at Survivor Series, this has been a career year for him, but now there's a blemish on it, and it's all Cena's fault, so he looks forward to putting Cena back on the shelf. Cena says Jericho was knocked down a peg at Survivor Series when he took the coveted World Heavyweight Championship from him, he's gonna ensure it's an encore at Armageddon.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Championship
MVP (C) vs Triple H vs Jeff Hardy vs Edge
(After meddling with their match at Survivor Series, Edge convinces Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero to run that match back, but add him in to make it a Fatal 4-Way. Vickie agrees to do this because WWE Champion MVP, Triple H, and Jeff Hardy all want a piece of Edge after what happened at Survivor Series. Edge says it’s been too long since he’s tasted the WWE Championship and he’ll become champion again by any means necessary. Jeff Hardy says that he's worked his ass off to try and get the WWE Championship his whole career, he's not gonna let some punk like Edge ruin it. Triple H says that he's not gonna rest until the WWE Championship is back around his waist, and MVP says he doesn't need management's puppet Edge to help him retain the WWE Championship, he can do that all by himself. In the match, it looks like MVP is gonna retain his title after hitting a Playmaker on Edge, before Jeff hits the swanton from out of nowhere and FINALLY! wins the big one, becoming WWE Champion.)

Jack Swagger (C) vs Matt Hardy (Matt Hardy invokes his rematch clause following his title loss at Armageddon. Matt says that he has a taste for gold, he wants that ECW Championship back, and he won't stop until he's a World Champion again. Swagger says that he'll snap all of Matt's limbs with ease.) Cryme Tyme (C) vs JBL & Shawn Michaels (Shortly following Armageddon, Shawn Michaels reveals that due to the global financial crisis, he's lost his family's personal savings and needs money, so he's agreed to work for JBL. JBL & Michales then win a #1 contenders match over The Miz & John Morrison to become the #1 contenders to Cryme Tyme's World Tag Team Championships. over It looks like the oddball duo have the match won, but JTG ducks a clothesline from hell causing a ref bump. Bradshaw still hits the Clothesline from Hell on JTG, but HBK decides to hit JBL with Sweet Chin Music, and drag JTG's prone body over the former acolyte, before heading to the back as the ref slowly counts three.) CM Punk (C) vs Dolph Ziggler (Ziggler debuts in late 2008, and racks off a undefeated streak before finding himself in a Fatal 4-Way IC title #1 contenders match against Kofi Kingston, Santino Marella, and Mike Knox. Jericho vows to make Cena quit, whilst Big Match John wants to dispose of the painmaker once and for all) Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship
Jeff Hardy (C) vs MVP (After Armageddon, MVP wants his one-on-one rematch with Hardy for the WWE Championship, but Vickie Guerrero disapproves and gives the shot to her (kayfabe) husband, Edge. MVP is furious about this because he has a guaranteed rematch clause that is being passed on, and is pissed off that he's being passed up because of the GM's bias towards someone, preventing the rematch the people would rather see, so he goes to Vince McMahon personally to get this overturned, who instead makes a #1 contenders match on Smackdown between MVP and Edge to determine who will face Jeff Hardy at the Royal Rumble, which MVP wins. MVP also turns face before the match by saving Jeff from a beatdown by Edge, Umaga, and Chavo Guerrero. The match is also made a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match to prevent any interference. Towards the end of the match, Edge and Chavo try to interfere and climb the cage with bolt cutters for the Barbed Wire, before being stopped by Matt Hardy who takes out both men. Matt then tosses the cutters over the cage to Jeff, who cuts the barbed wire, but instead of climbing out, jumps off the steel cage to hit a Swanton Bomb on MVP for the win. Matt celebrates with Jeff but looks annoyed cause he gave Jeff a path to victory, but didn't use it. So, in retaliation, Matt low blows Jeff, turning heel. Broken Matt then hits a Twist of Fate on Brother Nero, then a conchairto, before hoisting up the WWE Championship.) Royal Rumble Match

(Bourne wins a Triple Threat Match over Finlay and Tommy Dreamer to become the #1 contender to the ECW Championship. Bourne says that he's the next big star in ECW, it's his time to ascend to the top. Swagger says that Bourne is just a little guy who should be nowhere near his ECW Championship.)
Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship
Jeff Hardy (C) vs Edge vs Triple H vs The Undertaker vs MVP vs Umaga
(After his brother turned on him back at The Royal Rumble, Matt Hardy addresses why he turned on his brother. Matt says that finally, he no longer has to carry the burden of being considered second best to his younger brother, who was always considered the star of The Hardy Boyz, but now that he won the Royal Rumble, he can finally show everyone why he is the star of The Hardy Boyz, because he's challenging Jeff for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Jeff then runs out to attack Matt, only for security to break them up. Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero informs Jeff that his showdown against his older brother isn't going to be guaranteed, because he's gonna defend that WWE Championship in the Elimination Chamber against 5 former WWE Champions in MVP, Edge, Triple H, Umaga, and The Undertaker. Edge is the first one to get eliminated on a rollup, which infuriates The Rated R Superstar. The match comes down to Jeff Hardy and The Undertaker, with The Charismatic Enigma prevailing over The Phenom.)

Ricky Steamboat, who was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, interrupts and says Jericho will have to put his money where his mouth is by beating him in a match at Wrestlemania. Jericho accepts The Dragon’s match, thinking it’ll be an easy night’s work. The Dragon also gets all the legends Jericho disrespected to be in his corner.)

Triple Threat Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
JBL (C) vs Rey Mysterio vs Kofi Kingston
(On the Raw after No Way Out, JBL beats CM Punk for the Intercontinental Championship. A few weeks later, both Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston win a battle royal after eliminating each other at the same time last. Both men want to take the belt off the tyrant that is JBL, while Bradshaw wants to humiliate his smaller opponents. This is also JBL's retirement.)
Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (C) vs John Cena vs Umaga
(Cena invokes his rematch clause to get this match. Edge convinces management to get his bodyguard Umaga in the match to make it a triple threat and to stake the odds against Big Match John, but The Samoan Bulldozer is tired of being treated as a lackey and turns on Edge. All three men want the gold to be Raw's top champion)
No Holds Barred Match
Randy Orton w/Legacy vs Triple H
(After weeks of attacking the McMahon family, Randy Orton decides to challenge Triple H to a No Holds Barred Match at Wrestlemania. The build is exactly the same, with Orton RKO'ing Stephanie McMahon and Triple H invading Orton's home and getting arrested. However, instead of the slow and laborious match we got, this match is an outright violent brawl from the opening bell, with both The Game and The Legend Killer tearing each other apart. Batista also returns towards the end of the match to even the odds.)
TLC Match for the WWE Championship
Jeff Hardy (C) vs Matt Hardy
(This feud has nothing to do with Jeff Hardy's dog or house burning down. After Jeff's successful title defense at No Way Out, Matt Hardy reveals he will be taking his talents to Smackdown to challenge his disgrace of a younger brother for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 25. In the build, Matt reveals he's been behind Jeff Hardy's pyro accident and running him off the road. Matt says he has had enough of Jeff making him look like the Jannetty of The Hardyz and wants to prove he is the Shawn Michaels of the 2, and he's gonna humiliate his younger brother to show why he should be the one who gets to be the face of the company when he becomes WWE Champion. Jeff says that his brother has always been jealous of his success ever since they were kids, and at Wrestlemania, he shows the world what Matt has always been, a disappointment. The 2 men raise the stakes in the leadup, agreeing to have their match be one that they're both famillier with, a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match!)
The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
(After freeing himself from JBL's shackles No Way Out, HBK wants to cross off one more thing off his list of things he hasn't done in his career, defeat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and he can't think of a better place to do it than in his home state of Texas. The Deadman accepts his challenge, leading to exactly the same match that happened in real life, only no Sim Snuka botch. The outcome is the same, as HBK becomes streak victim #17.)

(John Cena invokes his rematch clause for the World Heavyweight Championship the night after No Way Out. In the build, Edge goes on a bitter tirade to Cena about how much he hates him and everything about him. Cena says Edge has been a thorn in his side for the last 3 years and that it's almost fate that they're having their biggest match at the biggest WrestleMania yet.)

(Matt Hardy continues to antagonise Jeff Hardy after WrestleMania until Jeff snaps and invokes his rematch clause, but he doesn't want a normal match with Matt, he wants a Hell in a Cell Match. Jeff says he'd like to leave Matt a bloody mess. Matt accepts the match immediately, saying he'd love to embarrass Jeff again. This is the Final battle between 2 brothers)
