This feud takes an extremely personal turn, as CM Punk goes as far as singing happy birthday to Rey's daughter Alayah. (On the January 4th episode of Raw, Bret Hart returns to WWE as the new gm of Raw, and just as it looks like he and Vince McMahon have forgiven each other, Vince low blows Bret. Around this same time, Vince begins endorsing Batista by trading him to Raw for The Big Show. After Big Dave wins the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber, Vince begins stacking the odds against Cena, by forcing him to compete in handicap matches to face Batista at Wrestlemania, which he wins to earn this match. Bret Hart thinks the odds are stacked against Big Match John, so he went to none other than The WWE Board of Directors himself guest referee to call it right down the middle. Bret locks Vince in a sharpshooter post-match)
Streak vs Career No Holds Barred Match
The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
(On an episode of Raw in January, HBK challenges The Undertaker to a rematch at Wrestlemania 26, but the Deadman declines, stating he has nothing to prove against Shawn. Same match as IRL, as this is the end of Shawn Michaels' career (CROWN JEWEL NEVER HAPPENS!).

After Money in the Bank, it's revealed that Kane was the one who "severely injured" The Undertaker, so he could eliminate his completion to get another world title reign, and get revenge for the fire he caused all those years ago that killed their parents, turning heel. Teddy Long punishes Kane for this, by revealing that at Summerslam, he will defend his World Heavyweight Championship by going 1-on-1, WITH THE UNDERTAKER! Taker doesn't appear at all during the build for this match, but does play mind games with his brother, similar to the ones he played in the lead up to Wrestlemania XX.
