Clash of Champions 2018 (this replaces Super Show-Down)
Date: October 6th, 2018
Location: Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Card
WWE United States Championship
Andrade "Cien" Almas (C) w/Zelina Vega vs Rey Mysterio
(Rey Mysterio makes a shocking return to WWE on the Smackdown after Hell in a Cell, confronting US Champ Andrade "Cien" Almas and challenging him to a non-title match. Rey and Andrade then have a non title match, where Rey scores a shock victory. This leads to Paige making a US title match between the 2 for Clash of Champions in Australia. Rey says he came back to WWE to remind everyone who the greatest luchador in wrestling is, and isn't pleased with how Andrade is carrying the flag for Lucha Libre. Zelina says that Rey is a thing of the past who pails in comparison to the future, Andrade.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) w/Xavier Woods (C) vs The Bar
(The Bar win a #1 contenders match over Rusev Day in a match where Aiden English turns on Rusev post match. The Bar say that they've been the most dominant team on the planet in their 2 year history, they're going to become 4-time Tag Team Champions at Clash of Champions. The New Day say that they're surprised this frankenteam is still a thing, but unlike Sheamus & Cesaro, they have natural chemistry with each other, and will walk out and still Smackdown Tag Team Champions.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins (C) w/Dean Ambrose vs Drew McIntyre w/Dolph Ziggler
(The furthered feud between The Shield and Ziggler & McIntyre concludes here. Drew says that he is going to rip apart the heart and soul of The Shield, and become a 2-time Intercontinental Champion. Rollins says he'll beat Drew so bad, he'll get sent back to the indies.)
Rusev w/Lana vs Aiden English
(Rusev Day implodes! Aiden English turns on Rusev after a tag team loss to The Bar on Smackdown. English claims if it wasn’t for him, Rusev Day wouldn’t even exist and Rusev would be working pre-show matches. Rusev says he created Rusev Day and that he genuinely thought of Aiden as a friend, but now all he wants to do is crush him.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Asuka vs Billie Kay vs Peyton Royce
(This is originally supposed to be another shot for Charlotte, but she gets injured before the show, leading to Asuka invoking her rematch clause. Peyton Royce & Billie Kay express their displeasure about being left off the card in their home country of Australia and request that Smackdown GM Paige add them to the match, which Paige agrees to do after they win a tag team match over Naomi and Carmella. Asuka says that she knows Becky fears her, she was the first person who lost to Asuka in WWE, and she can't wait to beat her again and win back her title, and as for The IIconics, they couldn't beat her on their best day in NXT, so they don't have a shot in hell of besting her here.. Becky says that Asuka is now a shell of herself, and she's only not been undefeated for over a month, and with The IIconics added to the fray, she's walking into the easiest defense of her life.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
Authors of Pain (C) w/Drake Maverick vs The Good Brothers
(Gallows and Anderson beat The Revival to become the #1 contenders. The Good Brothers say that AOP are 2 greenhorns who have only beat a bunch of rejects from other sports, while they've been multi time champs across WWE and New Japan. Drake Maverick says that AOP will crush these 2 bald knuckleheads.)
Raw Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss (C) vs Dana Brooke
(Since Ronda is guaranteed a rematch at Evolution, Alexa continues to brag that she's the longest reigning women's champion of the modern era, and no one can lace her boots. Dana pulls off a shock upset DQ win over Alexa after Ronda Rousey comes down, and intentionally slaps Dana to cause Alexa to lose, which leads to Dana getting this opportunity. Dana says that she's already scored 1 win over Alexa, lightning strikes twice at Clash of Champions when she becomes Raw Women's Champion. Alexa says that if it wasn't for that degenerate Ronda Rousey, Dana wouldn't even be getting this opportunity. Alexa squashes Dana within minutes.)
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Cedric Alexander (C) vs Buddy Murphy
(Murphy beats KENTA, Mustafa Ali, and Tony Nese in a Fatal 4-Way Match to get this opportunity in his home country. Cedric says Murphy will succumb to the pressure of performing in front of his home people, while Murphy guarantees to put the dagger in The Age of Alexander.)
WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan (C) w/Erick Rowan vs Bobby Roode
(Shortly after Hell in a Cell, Bobby Roode turns face and goes after Daniel Bryan's WWE Championship. Roode says that Bryan is tainting the title's prestige, by degrading the belt with a bunch of rocks and wood, with him also promising to make the title absolutely... GLORIOUS! Bryan says Roode is an absolute scumbag who thinks he can just walk around wearing these fancy robes and custom suits, when he doesn't care for the precious environment, which makes him fickle.)
Fatal 5-Way Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Bobby Lashley (C) w/Lio Rush vs Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens vs Finn Balor
(Lio claims that no one can stop The Almighty, as he is Walking Armageddon, an individual who will dominate everyone there is to dominate. Braun Strowman interrupts Lio's promo and wants a rematch against Bobby. Roman Reigns then interrupts and says that he deserves a shot at the title since he hasn't had one in forever. Kevin Owens then comes out and says he's someone Bobby Lashley hasn't actually beaten, because he's afraid he'll get powerbombed on the apron and have his neck broken. Finn Balor then interrupts, saying that he hasn't forgotten about how Lashley got the better of him back at Extreme Rules, he wants to avenge that loss and reclaim the title he never lost. Lio says Lashley is a fighting champion who will fight and destroy anyone. KO suffers a knee injury in this match that sidelines him for the rest of the year.)

Evolution 2018
Date: October 28th, 2018
Location: Nassaeu Collisiuem, Long Island, New York
Note
(Even though this has nothing to do with the pay per view, on the 10/22/18 episode of Raw, Roman Reigns announces he has leukima and has to go away to fight it. The same night, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins beat AOP in the main event to win the tag titles, only for Dean to shockingly turn on Seth post match. The following week, Ambrose loses the titles in a handicap open challenge to The Good Brothers, by just laying down for them. It's also worth noting that following Evolution, Renee Young is taken off of commentary so she doesn't have to answer questions about her husband.)
Card
Trish Stratus, Lita, Bayley, & Sasha Banks vs Mickie James & The Riott Squad
(Following Hell in a Cell, Bayley and Sasha Banks start to become friends again after Sasha saves Bayley from a beatdown by The Riott Squad. During this time, Mickie James starts to proclaim herself as the greatest women's wrestler of all time, which doesn't sit well with Trish Stratus and Lita, 2 of her old rivals. This all blows off in this match. Trish wins with the Stratusfaction on Mickie after Liv Morgan takes out everyone else with a moonsault to outside.)
20-Women Battle Royal for a future Women's Championship Match of the winner's choosing
Nikki Cross wins by last eliminating Ember Moon
(Entrants included Naomi, Natalya, Tamina, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Zelina Vega, Nikki Cross, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Tay Conti, Lacey Evans, Vanessa Borne, Dana Brooke, Lana, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Alicia Fox, Molly Holly, Maria Kanellis, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Candice Lerae, Ivory, and Michelle McCool.)
Asuka vs Beth Phoenix
(Following her loss at COC, Asuka demands elite competition at Evolution, which Smackdown GM Paige decides to give her in the form of the legendary Beth Phoenix.)
2018 Mae Young Classic Finals
Toni Storm vs Io Shirai
(The Mae Young Classic returns, with these 2 women making the finals. Storm says she was heartbroken that she didn't win last year, and won't be denied for a second straight year. Io says that Toni is a great athlete, but she didn't come to WWE to be second best. The match is much more like their encounter on NXT back in March of 2021, only with Strom going over.)
NXT Women's Championship
Kairi Sane (C) vs Shayna Baszler
(Shayna Baszler invokes her rematch clause after Takeover: Brooklyn. In the build, Baszler says Kairi didn’t beat her, she lost to herself, and she will tear The Pirate Princess limb from limb. Kairi says now that she’s the NXT Women’s Champion, she’ll do everything that she can to prevent Shayna from taking her title. Shayna wins after interference from fellow MMA horsewomen Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, becoming the first 2-time NXT Women's Championship.)
Last Woman Standing Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Charlotte Flair
(Charlotte returns from injury on SmackDown Live a week after Clash of Champions. Flair says that everyone is already sick of Becky Lynch acting like an entitled little bitch, so she challenges Becky to one more match. A match where she will be held accountable for her actions. A match where Becky can have no excuses if she loses.... a Last Woman Standing Match! Becky accepts and says she’ll fight tooth and nail to rid herself of Charlotte once and for all.)
Raw Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss (C) vs Ronda Rousey
(Ronda earns her rematch back at Hell in a Cell. She says she will finally end Alexa's death-grip on the Raw Women's Championship. Alexa says she has been on the most dominant run in years, she has held on to the Raw Women's Championship since April of 2017, the last time she wasn't Raw Women's Champion, The Fyre Festival was the biggest topic in the news, that is how long she has been champion for, for over 530+ days, she has made this championship the top title in WWE, for over 2 years, she has carried this division on her back, because she is the face of this division, not the 4 Horsewomen, she beat all of them, not Ruby, Liv, Sarah, Mickie, Natalya, Nia, Dana, Mandy, or Sonya, she beat of all them, and it for damn sure isn't that overhyped rookie who she embarrassed back at Summerslam, and at Evololtion, she once again embarrass the softest woman on the planet on a global stage. Evolution ends with Ronda making Alexa tap out, ending her reign of terror at 546 days.)

NXT Takeover: Wargames II
Date: November 17th, 2018
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California
Card
Kassius Ohno vs Matt Riddle
(not much story here, the 2 get off on the wrong foot on an episode of NXT, leading to this match. Riddle squashes Ohno in 5 seconds.)
2 out of 3 Falls Match for the NXT Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) w/Jessmayn Duke and Marina Shafir vs Kairi Sane (2-1)
(Kairi invokes her rematch clause here. She says that Shayna can't beat her without her horsewomen friends, and can't wait to drop the N Sane Elbow on her once again to become a 2-time women's champion. The Queen of Spades says she brought in her horsewomen friends as an insurance policy to ensure she will never lose again, especially against The Pirate Princess.)
Aleister Black vs Johnny Gargano
(After losing the NXT Championship, Aleister Black is attacked by an unknown assailant in the full sail parking lot, writing him off tv for a number of months. Black returns in early October and demands to know who the culprit is. The culprit is revealed in early November to be Johnny Gargano, who is now a heel and hasn't been seen since being stuffed in the back of an Ambulance at Takeover: Brooklyn IV. Johnny says he feels guilty that he costed Black the championship, so he had to eliminate him so he wouldn't retaliate against him. Black says that once he's done with Gargano, he's coming for the puppet master.)
NXT Championship
Tommaso Ciampa (C) vs Velveteen Dream
(After finally ridding himself of the "egomaniac" that is Johnny Gargano, The Black Heart moves on to a feud with The Velveteen Dream, who is turned face as a result. Ciampa says Dream is not worthy of the spotlight, so he declines, but then Dream accuses Ciampa of attacking Aleister Black, which causes Ciampa to accept Dream's challenge, so he will keep his name out of his mouth.)
Wargames Match
Ricochet, EC3, & The Viking Raiders vs The Undisputed Era
(The second Wargames match in NXT. The UE continues to target Ricochet after Adam Cole lost the North American title. This leads to Richochet recruit allies in the form of The Viking Raiders, and an unlikely ally in EC3 (who does not get concussed). During a tag team title match between The Viking Raiders and Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish returns and lays out The Raiders. The Undisputed Era say that now Bobby is back, full strength starts now, and EC3 shouldn't of stuck his nose where it didn't belong. Ricochet, The Raiders, and EC3 want to shut Adam Cole's mouth up for good.EC3 hits Cole with a One Percenter, and Ricochet finishes Cole off with a 630 to win the match.)

(Not much story here, but Nia Jax comes in with X-Pac heat due to something that will be mentioned later and is punished for it by being eliminated in seconds by Asuka who hits her with one Roundhouse Kick. Liv Morgan gets a breakout performance by being the sole survivor, debuting her new finisher, Ob-Liv-ion to win the match after last eliminating Nikki Cross, with this performance being the beginning of a slow face turn for Liv.)

(Sole Survivor: Liv Morgan)
Champion vs Champion Match
Seth Rollins (Intercontinental) vs Andrade "Cien" Almas (United States) w/Zelina Vega
(Not much Story. Seth Rollins doesn't show up in the build at all due to the attack Dean Ambrose put on him. Zelina Vega says that while Rollins is sitting at home in the leadup to this match, he's not even giving Andrade a thought, barely focused on him, El Idolo is putting in the work week after week, showing why he is the most dominant US Champion in history, and why Andrade will walk out the victor, proving why the United States Champion is superior to the Intercontinental Champion. Andrade wins thanks to interference from Dean Ambrose.)
Champions vs Champions Match
The Good Brothers (Raw Tag Team) vs The Bar (Smackdown Tag Team)
(Yet another brand warfare match, this time between more old rivals.)
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy (C) vs Mustafa Ali
(Ali beats Tony Nese in a #1 contenders match to get this opportunity. Ali says that Murphy is not the right man to hold the Cruiserweight Championship. Murphy vows to make the heart of 205 live stop beating.)
Survivor Series Tag Team Match
Team Raw (Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Finn Balor, and Luke Harper) w/Baron Corbin vs Team Smackdown (Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, and The Miz) w/Paul Heyman
(The 3rd and final Survivor Series tag team match of the evening. Stephanie McMahon says that if Raw doesn't win this match, his performance as the acting Raw GM will be up for review. No clean sweep bollocks for Raw either)
Samoa Joe eliminates Luke Harper by Technical Submission Finn Balor eliminates The Miz by pinfall Braun Strowman eliminates Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall Drew McIntyre eliminates Samoa Joe by pinfall Bobby Roode eliminates Dolph Ziggler by pinfall AJ Styles eliminates Finn Balor by pinfall AJ Styles eliminates Drew McIntyre by pinfall Bobby Roode eliminates Braun Strowman by pinfall
(Sole Survivors: Roode and Styles)
Interbrand Match
Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair
(Originally supposed to be Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch, Nia Jax's fist puts a halt to that when she breaks Becky Lynch's orbital bone, so Becky handpicks Charlotte to be her replacement. Ronda doesn't win by DQ, she instead wins by Armbar. Charlotte trashes the ringside area post-match, assaulting a few referees, turning her heel.)
Champion vs Champion Match
Bobby Lashley (World Heavyweight) w/Lio Rush vs Daniel Bryan (WWE) w/Erick Rowan
(Unlike most matches on this card, this actually has a build. Bryan says that he is disgusted by Bobby Lashley and his physique, how he doesn't care for the environment because he eats meat. This leads to Lashley invading Smackdown and spearing Bryan, Rowan goes to save Bryan, but gets blindsided by Lio Rush. Rush says that Lashley doesn't give 2 f*cks about being eco-friendly, he just cares about dominating and collecting the money. Lio and Rowan get into it on the outside and both get ejected, and the match ends with Lashley countering the running knee with a Spear.)
Final Score
Raw 4, Smackdown 3

TLC 2018
Date: December 16th, 2018
Location: SAP Center, San Jose, California
Card
Pre Show
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy (C) vs Cedric Alexander
(Cedric invokes his rematch clause here. Cedric says that Buddy only won cause he had a home-field advantage, but that won't be the case when they face off in San Jose. Murphy says he's already buried The Age of Alexander, and will send Cedric to the back of the line.)
Main Card
WWE United States Championship
Andrade "Cien" Almas (C) w/Zelina Vega vs Shinsuke Nakamura w/Paul Heyman
(Following his victory over Seth Rollins at Survivor Series, United States Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas draws the ire of a new challenger, former WWE Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, who defeats Rey Mysterio and The Miz in a Triple Threat Match to secure himself a chance to become a 2-time United States Champion. Heyman says that this is a huge test for Andrade, he may be the United States Champion, but now, he's facing a former WWE Champion and Royal Rumble winner in the prime of his career, and not only that, these 2 are no strange to one another, because Andrade and his client have faced off in the past, and the last time a title was on the line, Shinsuke Nakamura walked out victorious, and at TLC, history repeats itself when Shinsuke Nakamura becomes a 2-time United States Champion. Zelina says that Nakamura is on the decline, he just got bested by Daniel Bryan 2 pay per views in a row, and on top of that, he was eliminated at Survivor Series during the Survivor Series Elimination Match, but you know who wasn't pinned at Survivor Series, Andrade, and at TLC, Shinsuke is gonna be sent head first into the canvas and looking up at the lights as El Idolo walks out and still, your United States Champion.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Bar (C) vs The Usos
(Jimmy and Jey beat the New Day to get this match. They remind The Bar how they beat them at Survivor Series 2017, and will once again lock them up in the Uso Penitentiary. The Bar say that The Usos don't have the same confidence they did back then now that they aren't champions, and will fall just short of reaching over The Bar at TLC.)
Chairs Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Ronda Rousey (C) vs Alexa Bliss
(Alexa invokes her rematch clause here. Alexa says she got distracted by the magnitude of how big the Evolution event was, because that won't happen at TLC, when they face off in a Chair Match and she takes back the title that she made relevant for 546 days, day in, and day out, because she won't let that overhyped rookie Ronda tarnish that title any longer than she has. Ronda says she already beat Alexa fair and square, and will love to do it again.)
Tag Team Match - if Baron Corbin loses, he will be relieved of his duties as Acting Raw GM
Braun Strowman & Dolph Ziggler vs Baron Corbin & Drew McIntyre
(Following Raw losing the men's survivor series tag team match, Baron Corbin (who only wears the waistcoat when he's not wrestling, he still wrestles in gear) is given a lecture by Stephanie McMahon due to his poor control of Raw, resulting in him being put in a match against Braun Strowman at TLC, where if he loses, he will be relieved of his duties as acting Raw GM, and Stephenie McMahon. Also during the leadup, Drew McIntyre turns on Dolph Ziggler after attacking him after a tag loss to The Good Brothers, putting Dolph through the announce table, turning Dolph face. Corbin, using whatever authority he has left, adds Drew McIntyre to the match as his tag partner to stack the deck against Strowman, whilst Braun Strowman goes to Stephanie McMahon and requests that Dolph Ziggler be added to the match to even the playing field because he knows Dolph is out for blood after what McIntyre did to him. Braun wins with a definitive Running Power Slam to remove Corbin from power. The Following night, Stephanie McMahon announces she will be taking full control of Raw until she finds a new Raw GM, and there is no "You are The Authority" segment.)
Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe
(Following Survivor Series, Joe interrupts a segment celebrating 20 years of Jeff Hardy, making fun of his alcohol addiction. Jeff says that he's conquered demons in the past, and Joe will be the same. Joe says Jeff's a$$ is going to sleep.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Bobby Lashley (C) w/Lio Rush vs Luke Harper
(Harper wins a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match over Finn Balor, Chad Gable, and Elias to get another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship after coming up short back at Extreme Rules. Harper says that no one wants to hear Lio Rush's voice every single minute of Raw, and can't wait to make that happen when he beats Bobby Lashley for the World Heavyweight Championship. Lio says that The Almighty is on a completely different level than this jabroni, Luke Harper can't even lace Lashley's boots, and yeah sure, he may be a former WWE Champion, but Harper caught lighting in a bottle during that title run, he picked up fluke wina after fluke win, and he hates to break it to him, but flukes don't occur when you're up against The Almighty Bobby Lashley, who will still be your World Heavyweight Champion after TLC. Harper suffers an injury in this match that sidelines him for a number of months.)
Triple Threat Ladder Match for the WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan (C) w/Erick Rowan vs Bobby Roode vs AJ Styles
(Both Bobby and AJ are given a shot at the WWE Championship after winning the Men's Survivor Series Tag Team Match and being the Sole Survivors in said match. Bryan says that these 2 shouldn't be rewarded with a title shot when Team Smackdown didn't even win at Survivor Series. AJ says he'll become a 4 time WWE Champion, Roode guarantees he'll end Bryan's charade, and Bryan says he's the planet's champion, and the planet will guide him to victory over these 2 fickle opponents.)
Tables Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins (C) vs Dean Ambrose
(Dean explains his actions for turning on Seth. He wants to talk about love, he loves Roman Reigns, always has, he's never done anything against him, and Roman has always had his back, and for the longest time, he tried to forgive Seth for what he did, and for the longest time, he convinced himself he had, but when Roman got sick, he became too tired, and couldn't keep up the facade. He realises that he never forgave Seth, but Roman did, and it poisoned him. On the Raw after Survivor Series, Rollins is looking for Ambrose, but he gets jumped by him backstage, and is hit with Dirty Deeds on the arena floor. Ambrose then grabs a can of spray paint, and sprays a yellow streak in Rollins hair, telling him "You don't get to erase the person you used to be". Dean then grabs a set of cinderblocks, and stomps Rollins head through them, just like he did 4 years earlier. Dean then speaks to the fans through the camera, saying "it doesn't matter, cause you'll forgive me, won't you? Because you have to, no matter what I do, no matter how weak it makes you feel to forgive me, now matter how, sick, it makes you feel", he then looks down at Sethm telling him "go on Seth, forgive me". The following week, Corey Graves does a sitdown interview with Dean Ambrose. Corey asks Dean that because "he's doing this for Roman Reigns", how can you make Roman watch this? Dean says that Roman would be proud of him, because he tried to forgive Seth, and look where that got him, so he knows why he's doing this, he know's he doesn't deserve to have to get chemo every week, laying in a hospital bed, because Seth Rollins does. Ambrose then issues a challenge at TLC, a Tables Match, for the IC title, where he will beat Seth, take his title, and end him. Instead of 23 minutes of rest holds, the match is extremely one sided, as Ambrose just beats the living crap out of Rollins, ending with him going through a table for Ambrose to win the IC title. As the paramedics drag Seth away, Dean just sits there, wondering why he doesn't feel better, why does he still feel so bad, why has nothing changed.)
Triple Threat TLC Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Charlotte Flair vs Nikki Cross
(Becky returns from her injury the week after Survivor Series, and that now she's healed, she goes straight for Charlotte for failing Smackdown at Survivor Series. Charlotte is starting to think Becky is obsessed with her, so she challenges her to a TLC match at TLC for the Smackdown Women's Championship, which Becky accepts. Nikki intervenes, saying that she's invoking her guaranteed title shot she earned back at Evolution to insert herself into this match. Nikki wins after Ronda Rousey runs down and pushes Becky off a ladder.)

NXT UK Tag Team Championship Tournament Final
Moustache Mountain vs Grizzled Young Veterans
(Johnny Saint announces a 4-team tournament to crown the inaugural NXT UK Tag Champions. Moustache Mountain defeat Gallus to get to the final, while the Grizzled Young Veterans overcome Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews. Moustache Mountain say they built NXT UK as a brand, and that they will make history in Blackpool. The GYV say that they will soon be recognised as NXT UK’s #1 tag team and the very first NXT UK Tag Team Champions. A Ticket to Mayhem on Seven seals the victory for the GYV.)
Jordan Devlin vs Travis Banks
(After Jordan Devlin runs his mouth about Travis Banks being a disgrace to his home country of New Zealand, Banks confronts Devlin and both men brawl. For weeks, both men interrupt each other’s matches until Johnny Saint makes this match. Devlin says he’ll prove to everyone in NXT UK why you should never bet against an Ace. Banks says he’ll humble "Finn Bálor lite" and kicks his teeth in.)
No Disqualification Match
Joseph Conners vs Dave Mastiff
(The unbeaten Dave Mastiff finds himself the target of the former WCPW Champion, Joseph Conners. In the build up, The Righteous Killer engages in psychological warfare with The Bomber, such as loitering in the background when Mastiff is being interviewed and attacking several of Mastiff’s opponents before a match can start. Tensions soon boil over and both men brawl after a match between them ends in a no contest, which leads to Johnny Saint making this match No DQ. Conners says he’s the master of mind games, and that he’ll outsmart Mastiff and snap his undefeated streak. Mastiff says Joseph Conners will resemble a stain on the mat after he’s finished with him.)
NXT UK Women’s Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Toni Storm
(Rhea Ripley wins an 8-woman tournament by defeating Toni Storm in the final to be crowned the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion back in late November. Rhea goes on a tear, defeating everyone and anyone in her path until Toni Storm confronts her on an episode of NXT UK. Storm says Ripley is nothing more than an arrogant bully who cares about nobody but herself. She challenges Rhea to a match. Rhea accepts and says she’ll gladly rip apart that Motley Crüe reject once again.)
NXT UK Championship
Pete Dunne (C) vs Joe Coffey
(England vs Scotland! Gallus begin targeting British Strong Style after WarGames, with Joe Coffey staking his claim to be the next United Kingdom Champion. In the build, Coffey says that if he had been in NXT UK two years ago, Dunne would have never been champion for so long, and that The Iron King will reign supreme. The Bruiserweight says he’s beaten everyone that’s been put in front of him, and Coffey will be no different. Dunne wins the battle between the 2 former WCPW guys, winning with his Joint Manipulation submission. After the match, Dunne celebrates his win until the sounds of a familiar sounding theme of a top indie talent beings to play... GUNTHER IS HERE! The man formerly known as WALTER on the indies gets in the ring and lays out Coffey with a big boot. WALTER then stares down Dunne as Takeover: Blackpool goes off the air.)

(In backstage interviews before the match, Devlin says that Dream is just some prince wanabe with no talent, and is nowhere near the level of The Irish Ace. Dream says that Devlin is just a Finn Balor clone that lacks all that makes the original so successful.)
Worlds Collide Tournament Semi-Finals
Matt Riddle vs Tyler Bate
(Not much story, both men are respectful towards each other. Both men shake hands after the match.)
Danny Burch vs WALTER
(Not much story, just a quick squash to showcase Der Ring General)
World's Collide tournament finals
Velveteen Dream vs Tyler Bate
(The finals of the World's Collide Tournament, with a future title shot of the winner's choosing hanging in the balance. Bate says that he is no stranger to winning tournaments in WWE, it's how he made his mark, and he does it again when he wins the World's Collide Tournament. Dream says that Bate is an extraordinary talent, but he isn't The Dream, who will go on to become a future champion. A Purple Rain Maker by Dream scores him the win, winning the World's Collide Tournament, and securing a future title shot of his choosing.)

NXT Takeover: Phoenix
Date: January 26th, 2019
Location: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, Arizona
Card
NXT Tag Team Championships
The Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong) (C) vs The Viking Raiders
(The feud between these 2 continues following Takeover: Wargames II. O'Reilly and Strong say The Viking Raiders are 2 fat pigs who still think it's the medieval times. The Viking Raiders simply want to embarrass The UE and become NXT Tag Team Champions.)
Adam Cole w/Bobby Fish vs EC3
(Instead of EC3 being called up DOA because of a dead crowd and being booked against Dean Ambrose who is on his way out of the company, EC3 spends more time in NXT, and continues his feud with Adam Cole following Wargames. EC3 says that when Adam Cole says ADAM COLE BAY BAY! He's right, he's saying he's a baby, because all he ever does is cry when things don't go his way. Cole says that EC3 has already flopped in his 1 year in WWE, and he won't turn things around at his expense. Interference by Bobby Fish allows Cole to score the win over EC3 with a Panama Sunrise.)
NXT North American Championship
Ricochet (C) vs Johnny Gargano
(On the 12/19/18 episode, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa reform #DIY as Ciampa helps Gargano win a steel cage match over his Takeover: Phoenix opponent, Aleister Black. Ciampa then suggests to Johnny that he go after the North American Championship so they can rule NXT with an iron fist. Ricochet tells Johnny that if he wants a title shot, all he has to do is ask, but he wants to know if Johnny will do it face to face, or from behind. Ciampa then attacks Ricochet from behind, as he's double teamed before being saved by Aleister Black, giving Ricochet his answer. Same match as in real life, with Johnny giving Ricochet a Brainbuster on the concrete for the win.)
NXT Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) w/Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir vs Bianca Belair (By Technical Submission)
(Bianca wins a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match over Io Shirai, Lacey Evans, and Mia Yim to get this match. In the leadup, Bianca says that Shayna may be a 2-time NXT Women's Champion, but that means she's lost, and she hasn't, because she's un, da, fea, ted. Shayna says that all Bianca is just someone who whips their hair back and forth that has no talent in the ring. This match turns Bianca face, as she doesn't tap out to the Kirifuda Clutch.)
NXT Championship
Tommaso Ciampa (C) vs Aleister Black
(On a December episode of NXT, Black announces he's invoking his rematch clause against Ciampa at Takeover: Phoenix, saying he finally gets to kick the head off the puppetmaster who's been pulling the strings on the obstacles of his career over the past number of months. Ciampa says that ever since he wrapped his arms around goldie, he has proved that the man makes the title, because when Aleister Black was champion, the title made him, because without Goldie, Aleister Black is nothing, when he was the champion, this brand was nothing, but ever since he became NXT Champion, he's made NXT the a-show, he's proven himself to be the greatest pro wrestler of all time, he's proven that he wants this more than anybody, that's why nobody can dethrone him, because it takes a certain kind of man to scratch and claw and climb his way to the top of the mountain, but it takes an entirely different man to build his nest there and call it home, and that's the kind of man he is, and that is the man who will still be NXT Champion after Takeover: Phoenix. Following the match, Johnny Gargano comes out and both men hoist up their championships as Takeover: Phoenix goes off the air.)

Location: Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona
Card
Pre Show
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Buddy Murphy (C) vs KENTA w/Ariya Davari
(KENTA starts to form a partnership with Ariya Davari in October, which leads to somewhat of a resurgence for him, as he beats Kalisto and Akira Tozawa in a triple threat match to become #1 contender to the Cruiserweight Championship. Murphy says that KENTA has been a letdown his whole wwe career, and would be better off elsewhere. Murphy wins after Davari turns on KENTA.)
WWE United States Championship
Andrade "Cien" Almas (C) w/Zelina Vega vs Mustafa Ali
(Ali makes his main roster debut on the 12/18/18 episode of Smackdown, and immediately becomes an enemy of US Champ Andrade "Cien" Almas after Ali pins him in a tag team match. Zelina says that Ali accomplished nothing on 205 Live, so what makes him think it's going to be different on the main roster. Ali says he came to Smackdown to bust through the glass ceiling and prove that any Cruiserweight can make it, and that starts by once again pinning Andrade and becoming the new United States Champion.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
The Good Brothers (C) vs Heavy Machinery
(Otis and Tucker make their debut in December and go on a win streak, culminating with a #1 contenders match victory over The Revival. Gallows and Anderson say that Heavy Machinery think that they're some rescue mission for the tag team division, thinking they can just steamroll over all the tag teams who bust their a$$ off to make this division great, but they're gonna be in store for a rude awakening come the Royal Rumble. Heavy Machinery say that they'll devour The Good Brothers en route to their first tag titles.)
Main Card
Smackdown Women's Championship
Nikki Cross (C) vs Becky Lynch
(The Man invokes her rematch clause. She says it was nice Nikki got to have her moment at TLC, but that moment will be short lived, cause The Man is coming back around to collect the title. Nikki says she is something that Becky has never experienced in the ring before, she is unpredictable and uncontrollable, Becky won't be able to handle the wrath of the Smackdown Women's Champion, because she is violent by design for a reason. After Nikki retains, Renee Young interviews Becky Lynch in the ring, with Becky saying "This isn't the last you've seen of me tonight".)
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dean Ambrose (C) vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor
(Ambrose and Rollins' brawls continue to be a chaotic problem for Raw. Finn Balor eventually gets involved in this feud, due to him being sick of the fact that the IC title is being treated as an afterthought because Dean's trying to end Seth's career because Roman has cancer. Dean tells Finn to stay the hell out of this, this doesn't concern him. Seth just wants to put an end to all of this. Rollins gets a measure of revenge on Ambrose, when he powerbombs him through the Spanish announcer's table, with it coming down to just him and Balor in the ring. Rollins is about to go for The Curb Stomp, but then The Good Brothers run down and hit Rollins with a Magic Killer on the outside, before rolling Rollins back into the ring. Gallows and Anderson then get up on the apron, and do the 2 sweet while looking at Balor, Balor looks at them, and then puts up the 2 sweet, before going to the top rope, hitting the Coup De Grace, 1-2-3, Balor wins the IC title, and The OC is reformed with a new leader.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Bar (C) vs The Miz & Shane McMahon
(Following his victory as apart of Team Smackdown at Survivor Series, The Miz starts to think he's special and is trying to buddy up to Commisioner Shane McMahon, wanting Shane to be his tag team partner, but Shane doesn't budge, saying he has a show to run and doesn't have time for all of this. On the Christmas Day episode of Smackdown, Miz invites Shane on to Miz TV, and tells Shane that him trying to get Shane to be his partner isn't about him trying to suck up to Shane, it's about his dad. After being in WWE for over a decade, being a former WWE Champion, 2 time World Heavyweight Champion, former US champion who held the title for over a year, 5 time Intercontinental champion, Money in the Bank winner, 4 time Tag Team Champion, become a movie star, and he's never heard his dad say he's proud of him. Even when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in the main event of Wrestlemania 27, The only thing his dad said to him post match was "Well, The Rock looked good as guest referee". Every accomplishment Miz has in the ring or in life, Miz wonders if it's enough for his Dad, but the answer is always the same, no, until he went back and watched Shane's Wrestlemania XV match against The Undertaker, and said "Wow that Shane McMahon, he is something else, he is a man without fear, he will jump from coast to coast, he will leap off the Hell in a Cell, he fights for what he believes in. Could you imagine if you two teamed, you'd be The Best Tag Team in the World". This finally breaks through to Shane, who can relate to Miz's daddy issues, and agrees to be his tag team partner, only if he beats The Bar in a handicap match the following week. Miz (who's now a face) beats The Bar the following week, with Shane officially becoming his tag team partner. Sheamus & Cesaro are pi$$ed about this and go to Smackdown GM Paige and demand that she makes a Tag Title Match between them for the Rumble, saying that they don't care if they cause any collateral damage to The McMahon Family, they want to humiliate both Shane and The Miz. Miz and Shane win, celebrating with Miz's dad at ringside.)
Raw Women's Championship
Ronda Rousey (C) vs Sasha Banks
(Sasha wins a #1 contenders battle royal to earn this opportunity against Ronda. Sasha says she is the best pure wrestler in the company, and will be the first person ever to make Ronda tap out, so she can become a 3 time Raw Women's Champion. Ronda says she's happy that Sasha became #1 contender, because she gets to face the best competition possible to prove that she deserves to be here. This is the same match as in real life, only following the match, Sasha offers to shake Ronda's hand, but she doesn't, instead just walking to the back, teasing a heel turn for Ronda.)

AJ says that Bryan is corrupted by that championship, it's corrupted his morals into thinking the right do is to replace the leather strap with a blanket covered with rocks and wood. Bryan says that he's embarrassed that he has to step foot in the same ring as someone who live ignorant lifestyles, who encourages fans to eat all these unhealthy foods to become walking billboards to plug AJ's merchandise, and he's disgusted that the fans think AJ's a hero for it. This is the same 20 minute classic as in real life, with interference from Erick Rowan (who is already present at ringside) allowing Bryan to retain.)

(Cena returns on the first Raw of 2019, and goes after World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley, securing a title shot against The Almighty after defeating Braun Strowman, Chad Gable, and Drew McIntyre in a Fatal 4-Way Match. Cena says that he knows this isn't the same Bobby who was a terrifying force in the mid 2000s, this Bobby Lashley is even scarier then that Bobby, but he's up for a challenge, and will prove that just like back then, he is better than Bobby Lashley. Lio says that Cena has no hope of dethroning The Almighty because he's got Hollywood on his mind, and can't wait to return to those movie sets, which he thinks he will with the World Heavyweight Championship, but he won't, he'll get sent back cause he got his a$$ kicked by The Almighty.)
