Road to... WWF King of the Ring 1996!
Pre-Show
1. Triple Tag Team Match:
The Quebecers (Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Carl Oulette) vs The Blu Brothers (Jacob & Eli) vs Mike Barton & Bob Holly
This match is made to name new future contenders for the next PPV against whoever are WWF World Tag Team Champions.
2. Single Match:
Disco Inferno vs Marty Janetty
Low-Card feud started after Inferno start mocking Janetty about his career failure. Marty wants to shut him up.
3. Single Match:
Justin Bradshaw vs Brian Lee
Bradshaw wants revenge after Lee cost him his match against Kama on 1st round of KOTR.
4. Triple Threat Match:
Jacqueline vs Reggie Bennett vs Luna Vachon
Winner of this match gets a future title shot at WWF Women's Championship.
Main Show:
1. Semi-Final KOTR: Single Match
Steve Austin vs Raven
Austin defeated Jesse James (1st round) and then Billy Gunn (Quarter-Finals), while Raven defeated Jake Roberts (1st round) and 2 Cold Scorpio (Quarter-Finals).
2. Semi-Final KOTR: Single Match
Faarooq vs Hunter Hearth Hermsley
Faarooq defeated Mabel (1st round) and then Kama (Quarter-Finals), while HHH defeated Marty Janetty (1st round) and Tatanka (Quarter-Finals).
*During the month, Austin and HHH keep feuding.
3. Single Match:
Sycho Sid vs Jesse James
After costing Sid lot of matches and opportunities, now it's time for The Roadie to face him.
4. WWF Women's Title: Fatal 4 Way Match
Ivory (c) (w/Miss Elizabeth) vs Sherri Martel vs Alundra Blayze vs Rena Mero
After losing her title, Rena Mero gets her rematch on 2nd week, where she wins, but by DQ because of Alundra Blayze interference. During post-match they start beating her 2 on 1, when Sherri runs in for the save. Piper makes a 4 way match because Rena deserves a proper rematch, Alundra because won't leave Rena in peace and Sherri because pinned Ivory during a Tag Team Match on 3rd week.
5. Single Match:
Tatanka vs Ahmed Johnson
These two are not over, Tatanka eliminates Johnson from KOTR (1st round) making him look ridiculous, but "The Pearl River Powerhouse" gets his revenge costing him his match against HHH in the quarter finals. Piper books a single match so they can beat each other up in the ring.
6. WWF Junior Heavyweight Title: Single Match
Rey Mysterio (c) vs Dean Malenko (w/Missy Hyatt)
Malenko made his return the night after IYH confronting Rey Mysterio and telling him that at KOTR he will use his rematch clause.
7. Single Match:
Marc Mero vs Billy Gunn
The beef between these two started with their involvement in the Women's match between Ivory, stablemate of Gunn, and Rena Mero, Marc's wife. Gunn eliminated Mero from KOTR (1st round) thanks Ivory interference, but he got knocked out by Austin the week after and during post-match, Mero runs in for a beat and they end up having a massive brawl that required security. After this event, Piper books a match between these two for KOTR.
8. WWF World Tag Team Titles: Tag Team Match
Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (c) vs Legion of Doom (Animal & Hawk) w/Paul Ellering
LOD needs to have a proper rematch for the titles, but The Eliminators who defeated them the night before at "Beware of Dog" want a shot as well. Piper makes a match between these two teams and the winner will face the champs. LOD defeated The Eliminators on 2nd week to earn their shot.
*On 3rd week, Owen Hart & The British Bulldog defended their titles against Headbangers, as GM rewarded them for their win against Quebecers.
9. WWF Intercontinental Title: Single Match
Goldust (c) (w/Marlena) vs Sting
After making Cactus Jack disappear, Sting sets his eyes on IC Title held by Goldust, who defended succesfully his title against Savio Vega and Terry Funk on 2nd week, but X-Pac interrumpts "The Stinger" because he also wants a shot to the title. Sting defeats X-Pac on 3rd week to earn his shot for IC title at KOTR.
*Savio Vega had the opportunity that he couldn't have at "Beware of Dog" because of small injury, while Terry Funk claimed another chance as Marlena cost him the match with that fake injury.
10. Final KOTR: Single Match

11. Single Match:
The Undertaker (w/Paul Bearer) vs Vader
Night after "Beware of Dog", Diesel turns face leaving Life Blood and makes an open challenge in the same night that is accepted by debuting Vader who beats "Big Daddy Cool" and destroys him post-match, writing him off TV. On 2nd week, The Undertaker challenges Jeff Jarrett to put his title shot on the line in the same night, but doesn't win as Vader cost him the match. Vader says that he wants to make a great impression in WWF and he targets the biggest dog in the yard challenging him at KOTR and The Phenom accepts.
12. WWF World Title: Single Match
Razor Ramon (c) vs Jeff Jarrett (w/Mabel)
After getting his title shot at "Beware of Dog", for JJ it's time to go for the big one and hires Mabel as his bodyguard because he fears that Sid, who still has issues with him, might cost him this chance. Ramon is ready for another title defense.
