Note: Dusty Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes & The Honky Tonk Man will all remain employed through Wrestlemania VII.WWF Royal RumbleJanuary 19, 1991Miami ArenaMiami, FL*The Rockers [Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty] d. Rhythm & Blues [The Honky Tonk Man & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine] w/Jimmy Hart by Pinfall to Win the World Tag Team Titles Everything had been going well for the duo of The Honky Tonk Man and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine since they began teaming together several months prior to this, culminating in their victory over the Hart Foundation in early November and winning the tag team titles. However against the tag team specialists The Rockers, Rhythm & Blues were flummoxed at how to handle the high octane offense Michaels and Jannetty used. A mistimed cross body from Jannetty to Valentine was enough to give the champions an opening to slow the match down, but this only lasted until Jannetty made the tag to Michaels. All four men brawled in the ring until the referee led Jannetty out. With the ref distracted, Honky tried to hit Michaels over the head with a guitar, only to miss and hit The Hammer instead. Michaels then rolled up The Honky Tonk Man and picked up the victory, winning the tag team titles. After the match, Honky and Jimmy Hart bid a hasty retreat as an irate Hammer went after the two for costing them the titles.
*Jake "The Snake" Roberts d. "The Model" Rick Martel by Pinfall in a Strap Match In the fall, "The Model" Rick Martel had decried the presence of a "filthy reptile" like Jake's snake Damien at ringside. During a match between Roberts and an enhancement talent, The Model came out with security and stole Damien from Jake. The Model then gloated on an episode of the Brother Love show that he had the snake "put down" and turned it into a new pair of boots and a leather belt. Since then, Martel had done everything in his power to avoid coming to blows with Roberts. To ensure that there could be a finish to the feud, WWF President ordered the two compete in a Strap Match. Jake attacked with reckless abandon and showed a vicious side that he rarely exhibited. The Model used the strap to try and choke out the Snake on a few occasions, but Roberts countered by whipping Martel with the strap before hitting him with not one but two DDT's and then pinning him for the victory.
*Heidi Lee Morgan d. Leilani Kai by Pinfall to Win the WWF Women's Title After losing the Women's Title to former champion Leilani Kai in December, Morgan exercised her rematch in this "Champions Edition" of the Royal Rumble, where all titles would be on the line. In a fairly even match, Heidi hit Kai with a German Suplex to pick up the victory and regain her title.
*The Ultimate Warrior d. Sgt. Slaughter w/General Adnan by Disqualification to Retain the WWF Championship Iraqi sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter was hoping to bring the WWF Title to his "fearless leader Saddam Hussein" as a trophy of war, challenging the nearly unbeatable Ultimate Warrior. Things went sideways almost immediately as, while General Adnan distracted the referee, the Sensational Queen Sherri came to ringside to try and distract the Warrior (as Warrior and the Macho King had been feuding throughout the fall of the previous year). This led Warrior to chase Sherri to the back, only to be jumped by the Macho King himself and beaten down. Warrior barely made it back to the ring as Slaughter began to work him over. Slaughter even locked the Warrior in the dreaded Camel Clutch, and it looked as if Warrior would pass out in the hold, but the champion fought back from underneath and eventually broke the hold. After a flurry of offense, he called for the Gorilla Press, only for Adnan to jump in the ring, eating a clothesline for his trouble. However the distraction allowed Savage to come back to ringside and use his scepter on the back of the Warrior, which Slaughter followed up with a body slam and elbow drop for the three count. Before Slaughter was declared the new champion though, Hulk Hogan came from the back with WWF officials, who informed referee Earl Hebner about what had happened, resulting in the referee reversing his decision and awarding the victory to the Warrior via disqualification instead.
*Mr. Perfect w/Bobby Heenan d. "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich by Pinfall to Retain the WWF Intercontinental Title At the Survivor Series, the one blemish on the Heenan Family's night was the elimination of Mr. Perfect via pinfall by the hot "rookie" The Texas Tornado. This earned Von Erich a title opportunity at the Intercontinental Championship. With Perfect having been champion for over a year, it seemed like the time was right for him to finally be beaten and lose the title. And indeed it appeared as if that would be the case, as Von Erich took all over Perfect's offense in stride and countered with strong attacks of his own. Before the Tornado could finish off Perfect, though, the referee was inadvertantly knocked out by an errant Discus Punch from the Tornado. This led to Bobby Heenan getting in the ring and hitting the Tornado with a chair. The attack actually barely fazed the challenger, and he approached The Brain who backed off, begging and pleading. However this gave Perfect time to pick up the chair and use it again on Von Erich, hitting him twice across the back for good measure. He then woke up the referee and had him count the pinfall so that Mr. Perfect retained.
*"Macho King" Randy Savage Won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match With the chance at a World Wrestling Federation championship match hanging in the balance, the Royal Rumble match was once again the centerpiece of the event. Starting off were Bret "The Hitman" Hart and The British Bulldog, two old rivals (and actual brothers in law, Monsoon and Piper were quick to point out) that lasted a long time in the ring as well. A huge upset occurred when former WWF Champion Ted DiBiase was thrown out by Dustin Rhodes, the son of DiBiase's old nemesis Dusty Rhodes. Hulk Hogan entered the match at #20, going straight after Col. Abdullah as well as his rival Earthquake, eventually eliminating both of them. The match came down to Hogan and his eternal foil the Macho King. Hogan looked like he would eliminate Savage, when Sgt. Slaughter came down to ringside, distracting the Hulkster. This distraction allowed Savage to hit him with a knee to the back, and then toss Hogan out of the ring, giving the victory and the title shot to the Macho King. Afterwards, Slaughter and Hogan came to blows, with officials trying desperately to break apart the ongoing war on the outside.

Note: In another deviation from real life, the venue for Wrestlemania VII changes to Philadelphia. To reflect real life, the original announced location would have been Veterans Stadium. Instead due to "security concerns" it moves indoors to the Philly Spectrum.
The WWE Hall of Fame is introduced this year, with its first 5 inductees being Andre the Giant, "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers, Vincent J. McMahon, Chief Jay Strongbow and Pat Patterson.
Wrestlemania VII March 24, 1991 The Spectrum Philadelphia, PA
*The New Foundation ["The Rocket" Owen Hart & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart] d. Haku & The Barbarian by Pinfall Following his actions in the Intercontinental Title match at the Royal Rumble, among other incidents, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's managerial license was suspended by WWE President Jack Tunney, preventing him from appearing at ringside with his clients like Haku and The Barbarian. Thus the two brutes were left leaderless against the new tandem of Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart, reforming the Hart Foundation for a new generation. The high flying Rocket dominated much of the match whenever he was in there, eventually finishing off Haku with a high crossbody following a powerslam from The Anvil.
*"The Model" Rick Martel d. "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich by Submission To the surprise of many, The Model was more than an even match for the red hot Texas Tornado, surviving the Discus Punch for a two count. The end came after Martel caught Von Erich on a flying body press, catching him and hitting a backbreaker to further injure the already damaged ribs of the Tornado, which the Model had softened up during the course of the match, before slapping a Boston Crab onto the Tornado and causing him to pass out from the pain.
*The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer d. The Big Boss Man w/Andre the Giant by Pinfall In the leadup to Wrestlemania it was announced that Andre the Giant would be amongst the first 5 inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame. After this announcement was made on an episode of Piper's Pit in which Andre was a guest, he was approached by The Undertaker and Paul Bearer, who challenged Andre to one final match at Wrestlemania. Andre declined, citing his health, which led to the Undertaker assaulting him. Andre was saved by the resident lawman of the WWF, the Big Boss Man, who agreed to have Andre in his corner for a match against the Undertaker. Despite Bossman and Undertaker both being big men who could move deceptively well, the law man was surprisingly outclassed by the newly minted Phenom, as the Undertaker withstood the Boss Man's Spinning Slam and then hit him with a Tombstone Piledriver to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match though, when Undertaker went to put the Bossman in a body bag, he and Paul Bearer were chased off by Andre, who returned the favor of saving the Bossman.
*Earthquake & The Honky Tonk Man w/Jimmy Hart d. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Tugboat by Pinfall After losing the tag team titles at the Royal Rumble, the duo of Rhythm & Blues violently broke up, with The Hammer looking to get his hands on his former tag partner at any opportunity he could. Teaming with Tugboat in this tag team match, it seemed like The Hammer would finally have that opportunity. Unfortunately, Tugboat turned on his partner, joining with Jimmy Hart and Earthquake in beating down the Hammer and leaving him to be pinned.
*"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/ Virgil d. Dustin Rhodes w/"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes by Pinfall to Retain the Million Dollar Championship During the Royal Rumble match, The Million Dollar Man had been embarrased by the son of his old rival, The American Dream Dusty Rhodes, by being eliminated by him. This led to a one on one match on an episode of WWF Superstars in which Dustin Rhodes again pinned DiBiase, albeit with a mistaken assist from Virgil. This led to DiBiase granting Rhodes a shot at his Million Dollar Championship. DiBiase controlled much of the match with a slow pace, trying to lock the Son of The Dream into the Million Dollar Dream sleeper. At one point DiBiase tried to have Virgil nail Dustin Rhodes with the Million Dollar Belt, but Virgil was slow in getting into the ring, leading to Dusty Rhodes interfering and nearly costing DiBiase the match. The Million Dollar Man eventually won with a rollup from behind, using the ropes for additional leverage. After the match, DiBiase berated Virgil and ordered him to wrap the Million Dollar Belt around his waist. Instead, Virgil finally had enough and drilled DiBiase with the belt, much to the delight of Roddy Piper on commentary.
*The Rockers [Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty] d. Power & Glory [Hercules & Paul Roma] w/Slick by Pinfall to Retain the World Tag Team Titles Since winning the tag team titles at the Royal Rumble, The Rockers had been on a major tear, defending the titles at every opportunity. In this match with Hercules and Paul Roma, the champions continued this run, making relatively short work of the tandem despite Hercules' power slowing down their trademark high octane offense. The Rockers eventually won with a Rocket Launcher, retaining the titles.
*Jake "The Snake" Roberts d. The British Bulldog by Pinfall After revealing a more sadistic side of himself in recent weeks, The Snake had finally turned fully heel on The British Bulldog, threatening to have his new snake Lucifer attack Bulldog's mascot Matilda. This led to this confrontation at Wrestlemania. However Davey Boy, despite his power advantage, wasn't able to avoid the DDT from The Snake, as Jake hit the move to pick up the victory.
*Bret "The Hitman" Hart d. Mr. Perfect by Submission to Win the WWF Intercontinental Title Heading into this event, Mr. Perfect was the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time. However as previously stated, he would be without Bobby Heenan at ringside due to Jack Tunney's suspension of The Brain. That didn't seem to stop Perfect in the early going, as he fought toe to toe with the Excellence of Execution. The match went back and forth several times, with neither man gaining a clear advantage for very long. Perfect seemingly had the match won when he hit the Hitman with the Perfect-Plex, but to the shock of everyone the Hitman was able to kick out. When Perfect attempted a legdrop to the midsection of Hart, The Hitman countered and reversed the move into the Sharpshooter, sitting back on the hold and causing Perfect to give up, ending the historic reign and becoming the new Intercontinental Champion.
*The Legion of Doom [Hawk & Animal] d. Demolition [Ax & Smash] w/Mr. Fuji by Pinfall On paper this match was expected to be a barnburner. However The Legion of Doom ran roughshot over the former 3-time tag team champions, and easily defeated Ax and Smash with little difficulty after hitting Smash with a Doomsday Device.
*The Ultimate Warrior d. "Macho King" Randy Savage w/Queen Sherri by Pinfall to Retain the WWF Championship The issue between The Ultimate Warrior and "Macho King" Randy Savage goes back to before the Royal Rumble, when the Warrior refused to grant anymore title defenses against Savage after the Macho King had been defeated several times over the course of months. Savage attempted to cost the Warrior the title at the Royal Rumble against Sgt. Slaughter, only to be foiled by Hulk Hogan. Savage made the title match a fait accompoli when he won the Royal Rumble match, setting up his final chance at the Warrior at Mania. Both men gave it everything they had, and Savage seemingly had the match won after hitting two Top Rope Elbow Drops against the Warrior. The champion perservered though and hit three flying shoulder tackles before attempting his Gorilla Press Slam. Queen Sherri got on the ringside area and attempted to distract Warrior, with Savage trying to jump Warrior from behind with a knee to the back. Warrior ducked out of the way, causing the Macho King to hit Sherri instead. Warrior then followed up with a Big Splash to pick up the victory and retain the title. Afterwards, Sherri attacked the Macho King, putting the boots to him. Miss Elizabeth, who was sitting at ringside, couldn't take anymore and rushed into the ring, chasing Sherri off. Elizabeth and Savage then reunited at center ring, to the delight of the entire crowd.
*The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart d. Tito Santana by Pinfall In a short match, The Mountie was able to defeat Tito Santana courtesy of the Shock Stick used by Jimmy Hart behind the referee's back, pinning him afterwards.
*Hulk Hogan w/"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan d. Sgt. Slaughter w/General Adnan & Col. Abdullah by Surrender Hogan and Slaughter, having cost each other the Royal Rumble Match and the WWF title respectively, were set to have a match under "Desert Storm" rules, in which anything went and the only way to win was for your side to surrender, either in the ring via submission or with your corner man literally waving the White Flag. Both men had supporters on their side, with Jim Duggan in his corner and Adnan & Abdullah in Slaughter's corner. The match turned into a wild brawl, with a rare blade job by both competitors in the face of the intense competition. Duggan and Abdullah also brawled at ringside at one point, though neither man really interfered in the match directly. The end came when Hogan broke out of the Camel Clutch and proceeded to lock a similar move on Slaughter after hitting his Leg Drop. Slaughter initially didn't want to give up, but eventually Abdullah defied Adnan's orderes and waved the white flag, giving the victory to Hogan and the USA. Hogan celebrated by waving Old Glory high above the ring to close out the show.
Off-Camera Title Changes: May 25: Brittany Brown d. Heidi Lee Morgan for the Women's Title June 9: Jake "The Snake" Roberts d. The Ultimate Warrior by Pinfall to Win the WWF Title July 5: The Nasty Boys [Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags] d. The Rockers by Pinfall to win the World Tag Team Titles

Note: Luna Vachon debuts a couple years early as the "Main Squeeze" of the Nasty Boys. Ric Flair, having already appeared on WWF television, makes his in-ring debut in this event as well.
WWF Summerslam August 26, 1991 Madison Square Garden New York City, NY
*"Nature Boy" Ric Flair w/Mr. Perfect d. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat by Pinfall After months of speculation, Bobby Heenan brought "The Real Worlds Champion" Ric Flair into the WWF. Almost immediately Flair began berating the talent of the WWF, specifically Hulk Hogan, and said that the measuring stick of the WWF had changed. Also returning was former Intercontinental Champion Ricky Steamboat, who had been a rival to Flair in other organizations. Much like previous encounters between the two, it was a barnstormer of a match which Flair won with a rollup following a distraction from his "executive consultant" Mr. Perfect.
*The Natural Disasters [Earthquake & Typhoon] w/Jimmy Hart d. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich & Koko B. Ware by Pinfall After Tugboat turned on Greg Valentine at Wrestlemania, he changed his name to Typhoon and formed the Natural Disasters tag team with Earthquake. Paired together tohe two were nearly unstoppable, and in this match took on 3 men in a Handicap Match. Despite the best efforts of the three men opposing them, the Natural Disasters easily squashed them, with Earthquake pinning Koko after a sitdown splash.
*"The Model" Rick Martel d. Bret "The Hitman" Hart by Pinfall to Win the WWF Intercontinental Title Since winning the Intercontinental Title from Mr. Perfect at Wrestlemania, Bret Hart had been a fighting champion and had taken on all comers. Against The Model Bret was faced with a challenger who would stop at nothing to win matches. The Hitman's technical expertise though was more than enough to handle anything Martel could throw at him. However, The Model's underhanded tactics won out in the end, as while The Hitman was attempting to revive the referee, Martel used the pump spray that he kept his signature fragrance, Arrogance, in and sprayed The Hitman right in the face, blinding him. Martel then hit a swinging neckbreaker on the blinded champion and scored the upset, winning the Intercontinental Title.
*The Big Boss Man d. The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart by Pinfall The Boss Man and The Mountie had been feuding for several months over who the true "law and order man" of the World Wrestling Federation was, leading to this special stipulation match at Summerslam where the loser would spent a night inside a New York City jail cell. The Mountie tried to use every underhanded tactic in his playbook to take advantage of the Boss Man, even using the Boss Man's own night stick behind the referee's back to clip his knee. The Mountie then worked over the Boss Man's knee and tried to get a submission with a half boston crab. Boss Man powered out though and eventually hit two of his spinning slams to get the pinfall on the Canadian, picking up the victory. As New York's Finest cuffed The Mountie and tried to take him downtown, Jimmy Hart tried to intercede with the Mountie's Cattle Prod, only to be taken down by the Boss Man. The cops then arrested the Colonel as well as the Mountie, taking them both to the precinct for a night in the Pokey.
*Virgil w/Roddy Piper d. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Sensational Sherri to Win the Million Dollar Championship Following his break away from the Million Dollar Man at Wrestlemania, Virgil had been training hard to be a wrestler under the tutelage of former WWF Champion "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. DiBiase was so overconfident that he agreed to put his Million Dollar Title on the line in an effort to humiliate Virgil. However, Ted was quickly embarrased himself by Virgil's prowess. In the early going, the antics of both Piper and DiBiase's new valet, Sensational Sherri, were enough for the referee to eject them both from ringside, leading to a true one on one confrontation. DiBiase seemingly had the match won after he locked Virgil into the Million Dollar Dream, but Virgil was able to counter by sending DiBiase head first into an exposed turnbuckle that the Million Dollar Man himself had brought into play. Virgil then groggily went over and made the cover, picking up the victory and winning the diamond studded Million Dollar Belt.
*The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer d. The Ultimate Warrior by Disqualification At a house show in Germany, an unholy alliance of sorts was formed when Jake "The Snake" Roberts joined forces with The Undertaker and Paul Bearer in order to take the WWF Championship off of the Ultimate Warrior. Seeking revenge, the former champion came in like a house of fire to try and take out the Deadman, attacking the Undertaker with more ferocity than the youngster had ever dealt with. However it was too much, as The Warrior refused to obey the referee's command to break a choke hold, resulting in a disqualification. Paul Bearer managed to coerce the Undertaker to stagger to the back, before the Warrior Press Slammed the offending referee and gave chase. This incident would result in the Warrior's kayfabe suspension for the remainder of the year (irl, he was fired for threatening to no show Summerslam).
*The British Bulldog d. The Warlord by Pinfall In a battle to determine who the strongest wrestler in the WWF was, The Warlord was outclassed by the faster and ultimately more skilled British Bulldog, who easily finished off the powerhouse with a running powerslam.
*Hulk Hogan, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan & Sid Justice d. Sgt. Slaughter, General Adnan & Col. Mustafa by Pinfall in "the Match Made in Hell" Following his surrender at Wrestlemania VII, Sgt. Slaughter and General Adnan vowed to continue fighting against not only America, but Hulkamania specifically, "dishonorably discharging" Col. Abdullah and replacing him with Col. Mustafa (the former Iron Sheik). The three fought against Hogan in a six man tag, as the Hulkster teamed with old friend Hacksaw Jim Duggan as well as an impressive newcomer in Sid Justice. In this match, with all six men in the ring at once, the brawl caused mayhem throughout the ringside area. Eventually, Sid hit Mustafa with a Powerbomb to take him out, while Hogan hit Slaughter with a legdrop after a face full powder to pick up the victory.
*The Legion of Doom [Hawk & Animal] d. The Nasty Boys [Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags] w/Luna Vachon by Pinfall to Win the World Tag Team Titles The Nasty Boys had used underhanded tactics (mostly involving their "main squeeze" Luna Vachon getting involved) to defeat The Rockers to win the World Tag Team Titles a couple of months earlier. However that didn't work when it came to dealing with The Roadwarriors, who steamrolled The Nasty Boys for much of the match and eventually hit Knobbs with the Doomsday Device to pick up the win and the World Tag Team Titles.
*"Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth d. Jake "The Snake" Roberts by Pinfall to Win the WWF Championship The feud between Jake Roberts and Randy Savage had begun in late June when Roberts (and his partner in crime, The Undertaker) crashed the wedding reception of the Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth. This was further augmented when Roberts attacked the Macho Man after a match on WWF Superstars and had a defanged cobra bite him on the arm. Without a snake at ringside (per order of WWF President Jack Tunney), Jake lost some psychological advantage over the challenger to his title. However Savage nearly beat himself as, like the Warrior, his hot headed temper nearly got him disqualified on a few occasions. Jake used these moments to his advantage, playing calm and calculated. At one point Jake hit the DDT on the Macho Man, but the referee had been knocked out before by Jake's own antics, preventing the Snake from getting the pin. Jake began stalking Miss Elizabeth at ringside, threatening to give her the same DDT, when Savage's old nemesis Hulk Hogan came back from the back, keeping the Snake at bay. As Roberts slithered back into the ring he came face to face with the Macho Man, who slammed him repeatedly with clotheslines before climbing to the top and hitting the Top Rope Elbow, gaining the pinfall and regaining the WWF Title. He and Hogan stared at each other a long time after the match, but as Hogan acknowledged the Macho Man, it seemed like the Mega Powers were back together after a long rivalry, as they all celebrated together to end the show.

Mustafa, The Berzerker, Big Bully Busick & Skinner w/General Adnan, Mr. Fuji & Harvey Whippleman in a Survivor Series Match - Sid Justice d. Skinner by Pinfall - Sgt. Slaughter d. Col. Mustafa by Submission - Sid Justice d. The Berzerker by Pinfall - "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich d. Big Bully Busick by Pinfall
*The Mega Powers [Hulk Hogan & "Macho Man" Randy Savage] w/Miss Elizabeth d. The Unholy Alliance [Jake "The Snake" Roberts & The Undertaker] w/Paul Bearer by Pinfall The Mega Powers of Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage had reunited following Summerslam in order to combat the Unholy Alliance of Jake Roberts & The Undertaker. However the dynamics of this tag match was changed the week previously when The Undertaker had defeated Randy Savage (albeit with help) to become the new WWF champion. Despite this (and the fact that Hogan by coincidence would receive the next title shot as opposed to either Roberts or Savage) the Mega Powers worked well as a team in the early going, until a DDT from Roberts on Savage on the outside behind the referee's back nearly ended the match in countout. Savage was thrown back in the ring and worked over by the Alliance, until Savage finally managed to get the hot tag into Hogan. The Hulkster and the Undertaker squared off ahead of their title confrontation the following week at This Teusday in Texas, with the Phenom and the Immortal One merely fighting to a standstill. Eventually the end came when Savage managed to get Undertaker on the outside and Hogan pinned Jake with his Legdrop, securing the victory and celebrating as the Alliance sulked off to fight one week later.

WWF This Tuesday in TexasDecember 3, 1991Freeman ColiseumSan Antonio, TX*The Beverly Brothers [Beau & Blake Beverly] w/The Genius d. The Rockers [Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty] by Pinfall Recently The Rockers had been having communication issues, culminating in a series of close losses against top teams and a failure to regain the WWF Tag Team Titles from the Legion of Doom. This was also evident when Michaels abandoned Jannetty during their Survivor Series match after frustration with Jannetty inadvertently knocking Michaels off the top rope. In this match against a newly arrived team of The Beverly Brothers, it seemed as if The Rockers had put their differences aside and we saw glimpses of the tag team specialists that they were. However the Beverly Brothers eventually took control of the match thanks to a distraction from The Genius, isolating Michaels. Shawn eventually made the tag to his partner, causing Jannetty to come in as a house of fire and beat down the brothers. The Genius eventually got involved again with a handful of chalk dust, which he threw into the eyes of Michaels behind the referee's back. When Jannetty chased off the Genius and checked Michaels, Shawn instinctively superkicked Jannetty, apparently not knowing it was him. The Beverly Brothers then took advantage of this, pinning the unconscious Rocker for the victory.
*"El Matador" Tito Santana d. Big Bully Busick w/Harvey Whippleman by Pinfall Tito Santana had become in kayfabe enamored with the art of bullfighting, taking up the title of "El Matador". It had also led to something of a career renaissance, as he took down Big Bully Busick with little difficulty, winning with a Flying Forearm shot that knocked the bully out cold.
*Bret "The Hitman" Hart d. "The Model" Rick Martel by Disqualification (Martel Retains IC Title) In a rematch from Summerslam, The Hitman was attempting to regain the Intercontinental Title from the Model Rick Martel, who had done everything in his power to avoid granting Bret Hart a rematch. The reason for this became apparent early on, as The Hitman dominated the early going of the match, and none of the Model's usual underhanded tactics were able to grant him an advantage of any significant length of time. Unfortunately though the Hitman was cheated again, as Martel used his spritzer (the same one he had seemingly blinded Roddy Piper with at the Survivor Series) to hit The Hitman across the head in plain view of the referee. This led to The Hitman winning the match, but Martel kept the IC Title as a result.
*The Legion of Doom [Hawk & Animal] d. The Natural Disasters [Earthquake & Typhoon] w/Jimmy Hart by Pinfall to Retain the WWF Tag Team Titles The Legion of Doom faced their toughest challenge in the massive tag team of Earthquake and Typhoon, who had been just as dominant as the tag champs since their formation the previous spring. Unlike most of their other opponents, The Roadwarriors couldn't toss the challengers around with impunity, and for a while it seemed as if the Disasters would make easy work of the champions. Eventually though LOD used their unique speed with their power to catch the Disasters off guard, causing Earthquake to be tied up in the ropes. This allowed Hawk to hit a top rope clothesline on Typhoon, knocking him down and allowing Animal to pin the giant, with LOD keeping the tag team titles.
*"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Sensational Sherri & Irwin R. Schyster d. The British Bulldog w/Virgil by Pinfall Ted DiBiase had regained the Million Dollar Championship from Virgil in early November, courtesy of his new tag partner and "tax accountant" Irwin R. Schyster. DiBiase was originally set to take on Virgil's mentor, Roddy Piper, in this match, however that changed when Piper was sprayed directly in the eyes by Rick Martel's fragrance "Arrogance", which seemingly blinded him and rendered him unable to compete in this match, leading to The British Bulldog (who had pinned DiBiase in that same Survivor Series match) to be Piper's replacement. In an even match, the Bulldog looked like he would put away The Million Dollar Man with the help of Virgil on the outside, but the distracting fights between IRS and Virgil led to DiBiase using IRS' steel Halliburton briefcase to knockout the Bulldog and pick up the victory.
*"Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth d. Jake "The Snake" Roberts by Pinfall inside a Steel Cage This Steel Cage match was originally for the WWF title, until Randy Savage lost the title to The Undertaker thanks to the efforts of Paul Bearer. Unlike other steel cage matches in the WWF, this one was designed to end via pinfall and keep everyone else out of the match, so that The Snake and the Macho Man could finally settle their differences. Jake was the one who used the cage the most, throwing Savage against the steel with reckless abandon and nearly winning the match with a DDT, which Savage amazingly kicked out of. Roberts then attempted to use a loaded Snake Handler's glove to punch out the Macho Man, but Savage ducked the punch and delivered a DDT of his own to Jake, KO'ing him. Savage wasn't content to end it there though, climbing up to the top of the cage and then delivering a Top Rope Elbow to the black heart of the Snake, before pinning him and finally gaining full revenge for Roberts' antics over the course of the year.
*Hulk Hogan d. The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer by Pinfall to Win the WWF Championship The other side effect of The Undertaker winning the WWF title was Hulk Hogan suddenly receiving a title shot in the main event. With all the controversial figures surrounding the title picture, WWF President Jack Tunney made his presence known at ringside. The match between the Hulkster and the Phenom was much like their brief confrontations at the Survivor Series, with neither man gaining a total advantage over the other. In the end, Tunney's presence at ringside made little difference, as Ric Flair (whom Hogan had been engaging in a War of Words with), Randy Savage, Jake Roberts and even Sid Justice (who was listed as the #1 contender to the WWF title due to winning a battle royal a few weeks prior) all made their presence felt at one point or another after Tunney had been "inadvertantly" knocked out by Flair's executive consultant Mr. Perfect. The end came when, while Savage and Roberts were brawling at ringside (which Sid tried to break up, only to accidentally hit Savage in the process), Ric Flair attempted to hit Hogan with the Undertaker's urn, only for Hogan to duck and Flair to hit Undertaker instead. Hogan then rolled up the champion and got the three count, winning the title for the 4th time to end the show.
Off-Camera Title Change: December 7: Due to the Controversial Nature of His Victory, and the bevy of outside interference, Hulk Hogan is Stripped of the WWF Title, with the Winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble match being declared the new champion.

WWF Royal RumbleJanuary 19, 1992Knickerbocker ArenaAlbany, NY*The Bushwhackers [Butch & Luke] d. The Beverly Brothers [Beau & Blake Beverly] w/The Genius by Pinfall Kicking things off The Beverly Brothers continued an ongoing feud with the Bushwhackers, which centered largely around the fact that, during a match on WWF Superstars, The Bushwhackers had humiliated The Beverly's manager The Genius. The Bushwhackers odd offensive style kept the Beverly Brothers out of sorts throughout the match, only gaining an advantage when The Genius would intercede on their behalf. Eventually the referee caught on to The Genius' antics and ejected him from the ringside area. This distraction allowed the Bushwhackers to hit Beau with the Battering Ram and then for Luke to slam Butch onto the fallen Beverly, eventually picking up the win.
*"Rowdy" Roddy Piper d. "The Model" Rick Martel by Submission to Win the WWF Intercontinental Title At the Survivor Series, The Model had "accidentally" sprayed his Arrogance perfume directly into the eyes of Roddy Piper, resulting in the Rowdy Scot being counted out of their Survivor Series match. Afterwards, vignettes aired that showed that Piper may have been permanently blinded by the spray. Despite this, Piper demanded a match with The Model for the IC Title, something which the overconfident Martel was all to eager to grant. This overconfidence was reinforced when Piper approached the ring with a cane and wearing sunglasses, as if he were blinded by the lights of the arena. After toying with a seemingly blind Piper briefly, Martel gloated to the crowd, at which point Piper removed his glasses and showed it to all be a ruse. He then attacked Martel with reckless abandon and beat him to a pulp, eventually locking on the Sleeper Hold and putting The Model out like a light, winning the Intercontinental Title in the process.
*Tatanka w/Chief Jay Strongbow d. The Barbarian w/Mr. Fuji by Pinfall The Native American Tatanka made his Pay Per View debut here, facing the veteran in The Barbarian. There was an additional element involving Mr. Fuji at ringside for the Barbarian, as he had to square off with Tatanka's mentor and former rival Chief Jay Strongbow in the Native American's corner, but in the end the match in the ring was fairly straightforward as Tatanka pinned The Barbarian following a move he called the End of the Trail.
*Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan d. The Nasty Boys [Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags] w/Luna Vachon by Pinfall Following his loss in the "Match Made in Hell" at Summerslam, a series of vignettes had aired of Sgt. Slaughter pleading to "get his country back." This led him to ally himself with former enemy "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, which formed a successful tag team together. Against the former tag team champions, the match turned into an out and out brawl, with all four men beating the pants off of each other. The end came when Slaughter locked in the Cobra Clutch on Jerry Sags with the referee down and Luna Vachon attempted to intercede. While Slaughter dealt with Luna, Knobbs attempted to nail Slaughter with a motorcycle helmet, only for Duggan to intercede and hit Knobbs with a 2x4. Slaughter then hit a big elbow drop on the fallen Sags as the ref came too and counted the victory for the All American Team.
*"Nature Boy" Ric Flair Won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match to Win the Vacant WWF Championship Following the controversial finish of the Hogan-Undertaker title match at This Tuesday in Texas, WWF President Jack Tunney stripped Hogan of the WWF Championship and vacated it, placing the title up for grabs in the Royal Rumble match (as opposed to the usual Wrestlemania title opportunity). The Rumble began with The British Bulldog and The Mountie, followed by (much to Bobby Heenan's chagrin) Ric Flair entering the match at #3. Despite the early draw, Flair lasted all the way through, surviving on wit and guile alone. Both Hogan and Undertaker were allowed to draw numbers in the final 10 (due to being the last two champions of record), but only Hogan made it to the end, facing off against Flair and Sid Justice. Sid had made it to the final three by surprisingly eliminating Randy Savage. This drew the ire of the Macho Man, and Savage jumped in the ring and attacked Sid after he had been eliminated. This commotion caused the referee's to miss the fact that Hogan eliminated Flair from the Rumble. Flair, sensing opportunity, snuck back into the ring as Hogan helped Savage get Sid out of the match, only for the Nature Boy to dump Hogan himself, thus being declared the winner. Despite the controversy, the decision would stand, and Ric Flair became the undisputed WWF Champion.

Wrestlemania VIII April 5, 1992 Hoosier Dome Indianapolis, IN
*Shawn Michaels w/Sensational Sherri d. Marty Jannetty by Pinfall Just before the New Year, Shawn Michaels had turned his back on his partner Marty Jannetty, superkicking him and throwing him through the plate glass window of the set of the Barber Shop talk show. Jannetty returned in February, immediately seeking revenge on his former partner. Both men obviously knew each other in and out, and the match was a fast paced affair throughout. In the end though, Michaels used his manager Sherri as a human shield when it looked as if Jannetty was going to hit him with a superkick. Jannetty pulled back and that allowed Michaels to roll him up from behind, holding the tights to secure the victory.
*The Beverly Brothers [Beau & Blake Beverly] & The Genius d. The Bushwhackers [Butch & Luke] & "El Matador" Tito Santana The feud between The Beverly Brothers and The Bushwhackers had continued despite the blow off at the Royal Rumble, this time with the Bushwhackers trying to get their hands on the Genius actually in the ring. To this end they recruited "El Matador" Tito Santana as an honorary Bushwhacker to face the trio in a six man tag. The match turned into a brawl at several points, with the Beverly Brothers eventually hitting Butch with their devastating Shaker Heights Spike finisher, before rolling the unconscious Genius on top of him and allowing their manager to pick up the pin.
*The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer d. Jake "The Snake" Roberts by Pinfall On an episode of Saturday Night's Main Event, Jake Roberts had lost a #1 contenders match for the WWF title against Hulk Hogan, potentially thanks to interference from Paul Bearer. Roberts had then assaulted the Undertaker's manager, leading to the Phenom turning on his partner and leading to this match. Jake was beaten down like never before, but still managed to hit two DDT's on the Phenom, seemingly laying him out. Roberts then stalked after Paul Bearer to try and get the urn. Undertaker sat up in the ring though, got The Snake outside of the ring and Tombstoned him on the concrete floor, before rolling him back in and pinning him.
*The Big Boss Man d. Repo Man by Pinfall In a very short match, The Big Boss Man ran roughshod over the Repo Man, hitting him with the Spinning Bossman Slam to pick up the victory in under 90 seconds.
*Bret "The Hitman" Hart d. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper by Pinfall to Win the WWF Intercontinental Title There was a modicum of respect going into the match between the former IC Champion Bret Hart and the current one Roddy Piper, with Piper saying he saw Bret as the little brother he never had and Bret admitting to always looking up to Piper. Both men gave it there all though, with neither man not giving an inch to the other in a classic match. Eventually Piper locked in the Sleeper Hold on The Hitman, however Bret was able to slingshot off the turnbuckle and turn it into a pinning combination to score the win and regain the Intercontinental Title. After the match, Piper handed the belt to Bret and shook his hand as a sign of respect.
*"Macho Man" Randy Savage d. Sid Justice w/Harvey Whippleman by Disqualification The issue between these two former allies began at the Royal Rumble when Sid Justice eliminated Savage from the Rumble match, which caused The Macho Man to help to eliminate Sid (and inadvertently helped Ric Flair win the match in the process). Things got more intense on an episode of the Brother Love show when, while conducting an interview, Miss Elizabeth was approached by Harvey Whippleman and Sid, with Sid having hired the pipsqueak as his new manager. Both men lasciviously made remarks towards the wife of the Macho Man, which brought Savage out and caused Sid to Powerbomb him on the concrete floor. In this match, Sid tried to outmuscle the quicker former WWF champion, while Savage used hit and run tactics to his advantage. It appeared as if Savage would gain the upper hand, setting up Sid for and hitting the Top Rope elbow. However The Berzerker, another new client of Harvey Whippleman, came to ringside and attacked Savage, resulting in the disqualification. After the match, The Berzerker and Sid continued their beatdown of the Macho Man, only for The Ultimate Warrior to unexpectedly return and clear house, chasing off the heels to a huge ovation.
*The Nasty Boys [Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags] w/Luna Vachon d. High Energy [Koko B. Ware & "The Rocket" Owen Hart] by Pinfall Owen Hart had found a new tag partner in veteran Koko B. Ware, but the new tandem wasn't any match for the former tag champions in The Nasty Boys, who used their brawling offense to ground the high flyers and eventually won the match with a double flapjack to Koko.
*Money, Inc. ["The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase & Irwin R. Schyster] w/Jimmy Hart d. Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by Pinfall to Retain the WWF Tag Team Titles Money, Inc was originally slated to defend the Tag Team Titles against the Legion of Doom in a return match, but an injury to Hawk (in reality a suspension for him based on a failed drug test) caused WWF President Jack Tunney to hold a tag team battle royal to crown new #1 contenders, which was won by the tandem of Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. At first it appeared as if the All-American team would continue to ride their momentum to a victory. But a distraction from Jimmy Hart allowed IRS to hit Duggan in the back of the head with his Halliburton briefcase, giving the tag team champions a tainted victory.
*Tatanka d. "The Model" Rick Martel by Pinfall The Native American continued his undefeated streak in a huge upset, defeating the former Intercontinental Champion in a competitive match.
*Hulk Hogan d. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair w/Mr. Perfect by Pinfall to Win the WWF Championship Ric Flair had won the WWF Championship in controversial fashion at the Royal Rumble, reentering after he had been eliminated (though no referee had seen him get eliminated) and dumping out Hulk Hogan in order to win his first WWF Title. This was part of the decision for WWF President Jack Tunney to announce that Ric Flair would defend the WWF title against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VIII. The titanic clash between the two icons of the industry was a highly tense one, thankfully made even when Mr. Perfect was ejected from ringside by order of Jack Tunney. Flair tried to work over Hogan's knee to set him up for the Figure-4 Leglock, eventually locking it in the center of the ring. Hogan however fought out of the hold and reversed it, hulking up and eventually hitting his Legdrop finisher to pin Flair and regain the WWF Title for an unprecedented 5th time, celebrating to end the show.

Note: No Nailz program. I know. You're disappointed too.WWF SummerslamAugust 29, 1992Wembley StadiumLondon, England*The Legion of Doom [Hawk & Animal] w/Paul Ellering d. The Beverly Brothers [Beau & Blake Beverly] w/The Genius by Pinfall After returning from injury, the LOD brought back their old manager Paul Ellering to help try and guide them back to the WWF Tag Team Titles. Standing in their way was the duo of The Beverly Brothers, but that hardly proved much of a roadblock as the Brothers from Shaker Heights weren't able to put up much fight against LOD, eventually being pinned with a Doomsday Device. Things went from bad to worse for The Genius when he tried to hit Animal with his steel scroll, as he then took a Doomsday Device for his troubles as well. *"Nature Boy" Ric Flair w/Mr. Perfect d. The Big Boss Man by Submission After Ric Flair wasn't named the #1 contender to the WWF Championship, he took his anger out on a local talent on an episode of WWF Superstars. This drew the ire of the resident lawman of the WWF, who immediately came to the aid of the fallen competitor and chased both Flair and Perfect from ringside, eventually challenging the Nature Boy to a match after calling him "an overrated bully." Bossman tried to use his size and power to dictate the pace of the match, but things went south after Mr. Perfect clipped his knee, nearly causing him to get counted out. From there Flair worked over the knee and kept the Bossman on the ground, eventually finishing him off with the Figure-4 Leglock for the victory.
*Shawn Michaels w/Sensational Sherri d. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper by Pinfall Shawn Michaels had made it his mission to rid the WWF of the "old fossilized wrestling guard", which put him in direct opposition to the Hot Rod Roddy Piper, who made his entrance with a full bagpipe brigade into London's Wembley Stadium. In the opening portions of the match, Piper proved that the old dog still had a few tricks up his sleeve, causing Michaels to get frustrated and make mistakes in the match. However Michaels seemingly KO'ed Piper with a sudden superkick, allowing him to take control of the match over the Rowdy Scot. Piper made a small comeback, but a momentary distraction from Sensational Sherri saved Michaels from the Sleeper Hold. Michaels then rolled up Piper from behind, holding the tights and picking up the huge upset victory over the former Intercontinental Champion.
*Crush d. Repo Man by Submission A former member of Demolition, Crush had returned to the WWF with a new attitude based on his Hawaiian roots. This laid back attitude didn't extend to the inside of the ring, though, as he made short work of Repo Man by way of his Cranium Crunch submission hold.
*The Natural Disasters [Earthquake & Typhoon] d. Money, Inc. [Ted DiBiase & Irwin R. Schyster] w/Jimmy Hart by Disqualification [Money, Inc. Retain the Titles] Throughout their title reign, Money Inc. had utilized Jimmy Hart's other team, The Natural Disasters, as muscle to help keep their titles in tact. This changed after the Disasters were named #1 contenders to the belts, with Jimmy Hart dragging his feet about giving them a title shot. Earthquake and Typhoon then turned on their longtime manager and challenged the champions themselves, having easily bested them in every matchup leading into Summerslam. In the early going of this match it appeared as if that would be the case again, as the challengers literally threw their weight around and withstood all offense from the champions. This changed after Typhoon was hit in the back of the head by IRS' trusty Halliburton briefcase. This surprisingly didn't knock out the big man, but it did slow him down long enough for the champions to gain the advantage. However Typhoon eventually made the hot tag to Earthquake, who came in and destroyed the champions. He was prepared to finish off IRS with his Sitdown Splash, when Jimmy Hart came into the ring and attempted to knock him out with his Megaphone right in front of the referee, resulting in a DQ loss for the champions. Earthquake attacked the Colonel, hitting him with a Powerslam and then his Sitdown Splash as Money, Inc. escaped with their titles, leaving their manager to the wolves.
*Razor Ramon d. Virgil by Pinfall Newcomer Razor Ramon had looked impressive the few times he had been on WWF television leading into Summerslam, and this continued with a relatively easy victory over Virgil here.
*Hulk Hogan & The Ultimate Warrior Wrestled to a No Contest [Hogan Retains the WWF Title] In what was billed as "the biggest rematch of the century", Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior met in a rematch of their titanic Wrestlemania VI encounter which had seen the Warrior defeat Hogan to win the WWF Title. An addition wrinkle was added to this match with the news that Mr. Perfect would appear in the corner of one of the participants, leading to a measure of distrust between the champion and challenger. As the match began though, Mr. Perfect was nowhere to be found. The match then proceeded similar to their Wrestlemania encounter, with a lot of high power moves between them. Eventually it appeared as if Hogan would finish off Warrior after Hulking up, but it was at that point when Mr. Perfect appeared, distracting the referee long enough for Ric Flair to nail Hogan in the back with a chair. Warrior came too and saw the flattened champion. Warrior began to signal for the Press Slam, but quickly realized what had happened with Flair and began to chase the Nature Boy away from ringside. In the confusion, Razor Ramon suddenly appeared from under the ring and took out the Warrior's knee. The three men began attacking Hogan and Warrior, resulting in the match being thrown out, with Flair in particular heavily damaging the knee of Hogan. Before career ending damage could be done to them, the Macho Man came running from the back and saved Hogan and Warrior, chasing the heels away before standing tall with the babyfaces.
*The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer d. The Berzerker w/Harvey Whippleman by Countout The Berzerker and The Undertaker had begun feuding in the summer of 1992, mostly due to Harvey Whippleman going after Paul Bearer on an episode of the talk show The Funeral Parlor. Berzerker had actually managed to damage the Undertaker more than most superstars in the past, delivering a Piledriver on the set of the Parlor that left the Phenom nearly unconscious. In this match though, the unearthly strength of the Undertaker shone through, and nothing that The Berzerker could do could keep him down for long. This seemingly changed when Undertaker was distracted by Whippleman going after the urn held by Paul Bearer, leading to Berzerker hitting the Deadman with his Viking Shield from behind, and then Piledriving him twice in the center of the ring. Before Berzerker could pin the Phenom though, Undertaker sat straight up, causing the Berzerker to flee in terror, taking a countout loss as the Undertaker stalked after him.
*The British Bulldog d. Bret "The Hitman" Hart by Pinfall to Win the WWF Intercontinental Title In a rare move, the Intercontinental Title provided the main event, largely down to hometown hero The British Bulldog challenging his brother-in-law Bret Hart for the title. The match was an instant classic, with both men matching the other move for move. The Hitman had a momentary advantage when he locked the Bulldog in the Sharpshooter, but Davey Boy was able to rally his reserves and fight out of the hold by grabbing the bottom rope for a break. The end came when the Hitman tried a Sunset Flip on the Bulldog, only for Davey Boy to sit down on the champion into a pinning combination, picking up the three count much to the delight of the partisan English crowd. After the match, Bret presented the IC Title to the Bulldog and hugged him with his sister and Bulldog's wife Diana present between them, celebrating the classic matchup as the show went off the air.

Note: A few changes to timings of departures for a more coherent card. The British Bulldog and The Ultimate Warrior will stay through Survivor Series for their respective matches, but depart afterwards. Also, Sgt. Slaughter continues to be used for a few months longer. Also as is obvious I have been using Hogan more actively in 1992.

*Yokozuna w/Mr. Fuji d. The Big Boss Man by Pinfall Since his debut in October, Mr. Fuji's latest client the massive Yokozuna had lain waste to any superstar he stood against, often times delivering his finisher, the Banzai Drop, multiple times to purposefully injure them. This brought him into conflict with the lawman of the WWF in The Big Boss Man. However, Boss Man was no match for the 500+ pounder, as Yokozuna was deceptively quick on his feet and able to counter any of the lawman's offense. He eventually pinned the Bossman decisively after a single Banzai Drop. Afterwards, when he went to hit the move again, he was stopped by Sgt. Slaughter and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan who chased Yokozuna out of the ring along with Mr. Fuji.
*The Headshrinkers [Samu & Fatu] w/Afa d. The Bushwhackers [Butch & Luke] by Pinfall The debuting Headshrinkers were billed as the descendants of the legendary Wild Samoan tag team (emphasized by the fact that Afa the Wild Samoan was their manager). Samu & Fatu were a well oiled machine of a tag team, and easily dispatched the Bushwhackers following a huge top rope splash from Fatu on Butch.
*The Disaster Boys [Earthquake, Typhoon, Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags] d. The Millionaire's Club [Ted DiBiase, Irwin R. *Crush d. The Mountie by Submission Crush had little difficulty in taking on The Mountie, at least initially. He did face some interference from another man dressed as a Mountie, who was apparently allied with Jacques, but this second Mountie was eventually ejected from ringside and Crush reasserted dominance, locking on the Cranium Crunch to pick up the victory.
*Bam Bam Bigelow w/Luna Vachon d. High Energy [Koko B. Ware & "The Rocket" Owen Hart] in a Handicap Match After being dumped by The Nasty Boys (after she had accepted a bribe from Ted DiBiase to cancel a title match between Money, Inc. and the Nasties), WWF Women's Champion Luna Vachon was looking for a new team to manage. She approached the duo of Koko B. Ware and Owen Hart, but they rebuffed her advances, causing her to swear revenge with her newest client. Instead of a tag team though, it was the returning Bam Bam Bigelow who joined with Luna. The Beast from the East easily bested High Energy despite it being a handicap match, eventually pinning Koko after a diving headbutt from the top rope.
*The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer d. The Berzerker w/Harvey Whippleman in a Casket Match At Summerslam, The Berzerker had fled The Undertaker when the Phenom wouldn't stay down. Manager Harvey Whippleman rebuffed the idea that his man was scared of the Undertaker, and challenged the Phenom to any match type he wanted. The Undertaker obliged by introducing the Casket Match, where the only way to win was to stuff your opponent in a casket and close the lid. Despite The Berzerker clearly being afraid of the casket, the Viking Warrior managed a better showing than he had at Summerslam, and nearly got the Undertaker in the casket on a couple of occasions. However it was too much eventually, as The Undertaker hit the Tombstone Piledriver and then rolled the Berzerker into the deep coffin, closing the lid shut for the victory.
*Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior & "Macho Man" Randy Savage d. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Razor Ramon & Mr. Perfect by Pinfall The trio of faces, Hogan, Warrior and Savage, were questioned as to whether they could get along with each other for this match, given that they were all gunning for the WWF Championship held by Ric Flair. However any animosity between them paled in comparison by the end of the match to the fight that broke out between Mr. Perfect and Ric Flair, after Flair slapped Perfect for nearly getting pinned. Perfect then KO'ed Razor Ramon with a stiff right hand and slapped Flair before bailing on the match, allowing the three faces to essentially get Flair by himself. They all took turns hitting their finishers on the Nature Boy, before Savage finished him off with a top rope elbow drop, giving the faces the win to celebrate to end the evening.
