WCW Monday Nitro opens with a recap of last week's main event, where Lex Luger and Sting successfully defended their WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Steiner Brothers!
The Giant vs. The Renegade
In a dominating match, The Giant defeated The Renegade by pinfall with a Choke Slam.
After the match, The Giant says that he's going to break Lex Luger in half this Sunday at The Great American Bash.
Standing rampside is Gene Okerlund as he introduces Arn Anderson and Ric Flair. Flair says that this Sunday, they are going to show Steve McMichael and Kevin Greene what it means to be a real professional wrestler. Arn Anderson adds that they will do what they do best; win.
Squire David Taylor vs. Sting
In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Sting defeated Squire David Taylor by submission with a Scorpion Deathlock.
After the match, Sting says that someone in the back has been bothered by the Stinger's success, and that man is Lord Steven Regal. Sting says at The great American Bash, they will go one-on-one.
Diamond Dallas Page vs. Jim Powers
In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Jim Powers by pinfall with a Diamond Cutter.
After the match, DDP looks into the camera and says "That was a 10!"
Eddy Guerrero vs. Psychosis
In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Eddy Guerrero defeated Psychosis by pinfall with a Frog Splash.
Big Bubba Rogers vs. Bobby Walker
In an extremely short match, Big Bubba Rogers defeated Bobby Walker by pinfall with a Bubba Slam.
After the match. Big Bubba Rogers says Sunday, he's going to shave the rest of John Tenta's head!
A video package is shown of Kevin Greene and Steve McMichael working out in the gym preparing for Arn Anderson and Ric Flair this Sunday.
The American Males vs. Arn Anderson & Ric Flair
In a good match, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair defeated American Males when Ric Flair submitted Scotty Riggs with a Figure-Four Leg Lock.
After the match, the outsider shows up as Bobby Heenan takes off from his commentary position. Bischoff asks where the big surprise is in a cocky tone as the outsider points behind him...
"You've been sittin' out here for six months running your mouth. This is where the big boys play huh? Look at the adjective - play. We ain't here to play. Now he said last week he was gonna to bring somebody out here. I'm here. You still don't have your three people, and you know why? Because nobody wants to face us. This show is about as interesting as Marge Schott reading excerpts from Mein Kampf.
Bischoff: "I don't want any trouble."
Outsider #2: "Yeah... no trouble... because you know I'll kick your teeth down your throat. Where's your three guys? What... you couldn't get a paleontologist to get a couple of these fossils cleared? You ain't got enough guys off the dialysis machine to get a team? Yeah, where's Hogan? Where's Hogan? Out doing another episode of 'Blunder in Paradise'. Where's the Macho Man huh? Doing some Slim Jim commercial? Hey we're here!"
Bischoff: "Look... I don't have the authority right here right now. You want to fight? The fight isn't with me. You want three guys? Tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock I'll be in Atlanta. I'll be in the offices of WCW. I'll try and get you your fight... and you know what? Live this Sunday in Baltimore... Great American Bash... you guys want to show up? You guys want to fight? You show up. I'll see if I can get you your fight."
Outsider #2: "I don't know about you but they love us in Baltimore."
Outsider #1: "Hey... hey big man... I say me and you... we be at the Bash. Maybe these punks want to fight."
Outsider #2: "Bring what you've got. The measuring stick just changed around here buddy... you're looking at it!"

OOC: Though only a few weeks in, we've reached a pivotal point in the dynasty. Two weeks just isn't enough time to play out storylines for the PPV, so The Great American Bash looks pretty familiar. It marks the end of historical booking. Moving forward, things will be a bit more creative (I hope, at least).
