Week 5
Middlesbrough & Ironopolis got the score off to an early goal, scoring the first of the match in the 14th minute but pressure from West Brom would lead to an equaliser in the 31st, meaning we head into half-time all tied up. West Brom have the better chances throughout the second half, paying off with a late goal in the 86th to take both points.
Burslem Port Vale 0 - 4 Birmingham St George's
Blackburn Rovers 1 - 0 Aston Villa
Newton Heath 1 - 2 Darwen
The Wednesday 1 - 2 Sunderland Albion
Bootle 2 - 1 Accrington
Bolton Wanderers 1 - 1 Preston North End
Everton 1 - 0 Derby County
BSG completely shut out Port Vale as they pump through 4 goals meanwhile rivals Aston Villa have their undefeated run ended by Blackburn. Bootle almost lose their own undefeated run in an intense match with Accrington but come out on top and move top of the table. Preston struggle against a highly defensive Bolton, managing to just get a point with a goal in the 89th minute, while Derby fail to show up against Everton.
Week 6
There is really no clear better side in this match. Bootle look better early on, with a goal in the 26th minute to go ahead. Preston equalise in the 40th though to tie things up ahead of half-time. In the second half Preston start looking slightly better and a goal in the 80th minute gives them the win.
Birmingham St George's 0 - 1 Everton
Aston Villa 4 - 0 Burslem Port Vale
Darwen 1 - 0 Blackburn Rovers
Sunderland Albion 6 - 0 Newton Heath
Accrington 1 - 0 The Wednesday
Middlesbrough & Ironopolis 3 - 1 Bolton Wanderers
Derby County 0 - 1 West Bromwich Albion
After a poor start, Everton have won 3 in a row with an abysmal, completely dire snatch-and-grab game against a better BSG that had barely any chances at all. Vale get a battering at Villa, while an absolutely ruthless S. Albion squad give nothing to Newton Heath. Accrington get their first win of the season while West Brom manage to steal the 2 points from Derby.

Week 7 & 8 Preview
Week 7
Birmingham St George's vs. Aston Villa
Burslem Port Vale vs. Darwen
Blackburn Rovers vs. Sunderland Albion
Newton Heath vs. Accrington
The Wednesday vs. Preston North End
Bootle vs. Middlesbrough & Ironopolis
Bolton Wanderers vs. Derby County
Everton vs. West Bromwich Albion
Highlight: Quite few interesting games on this weekend, but I can never overlook the Second City Derby as an option, particularly after competing for the title last season. The Dragons have been patchy this season so far but have typically been the better side at Cape Hill Brewery.
Week 8
Aston Villa vs. Everton
Darwen vs. Birmingham St George's
Sunderland Albion vs. Burslem Port Vale
Accrington vs. Blackburn Rovers
Preston North End vs. Newton Heath
Middlesbrough & Ironopolis vs. The Wednesday
Derby County vs. Bootle
West Bromwich Albion vs. Bolton Wanderers
Highlight: Honestly this week feels a little bit short on exciting matches, so I figured I'd take the chance to see two teams we haven't watched yet, so we make a trip out to Thorneyholme Road to watch Accrington take on Blackburn. Given form, you'd be expecting a Blackburn win, but the table is only just shaping up and surprises could be in store.
