Week 1 The Molineux was made into a fortress from it's building just over a year ago and Sunderland were completely unable to break down Wolves here, failing to make a single shot all game and barely seeing the ball. Wolves managed to score their only goal early on in the 11th minute and despite numerous good shots, found themselves unable to get another.
Birmingham St George's 3 - 1 Bootle Preston North End 3 - 0 Accrington West Bromwich Albion 2 - 1 Bolton Wanderers Walsall Town Swifts 0 - 2 Aston Villa Sunderland Albion 1 - 1 Blackburn Rovers
Bootle fail to show much as St George's pick up a win in the very first match of the season. Preston start to season with a strong display against Accrington, while West Brom out class Bolton. The last two are much more even as Walsall are unlucky to lose against Aston Villa, while Sunderland Albion look slightly better against Blackburn.
Week 2
Bootle come out completely dominant as they take the win at Hawthorne Road, scoring in the 25th and 88th minutes to soundly put away Sunderland Albion.
Sunderland AFC 2 - 1 Birmingham St. George's Accrington 0 - 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers Bolton Wanderers 1 - 1 Preston North End Aston Villa 0 - 2 West Bromwich Albion Blackburn Rovers 4 - 0 Walsall Town Swifts
Sunderland AFC show themselves being clearly better against St George's, while Accrington are completely robbed against Wolves. Preston find themselves unable to beat Bolton despite looking the better side. West Brom play far better than Villa and Walsall are completely dominated by Blackburn.

Week 3 & 4 Preview
Week 3 Bootle vs. Sunderland AFC Birmingham St. George's vs. Accrington Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Bolton Wanderers Highlight: Preston North End vs. Aston Villa West Bromwich Albion vs. Blackburn Rovers Sunderland Albion vs. Walsall Town Swifts
Highlight: Last season Preston were one game short on an invincible season, as they lost to Aston Villa in the latter stages of the season. In a rematch of this game, with both side coming off a poor results, Aston Villa may smell blood and the opportunity to knock Preston's chances of winning a third consecutive title down as they make the trip out to Deepdale.
Week 4 Highlight: Sunderland AFC vs. Sunderland Albion Accrington vs. Bootle Bolton Wanderers vs. Birmingham St George's Aston Villa vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Blackburn Rovers vs. Preston North End Walsall Town Swifts vs. West Bromwich Albion
Highlight: One of the big derby matches in the league, the two Sunderland sides having just been elected and will be facing off for the first time in a few years from what I can tell. The two sides have such a bitter rivalry Sunderland AFC withdrew from the FA Cup to giving Sunderland Albion money, so fans will be itching to see the two rivals play at Newcastle Road.

Week 3 This match was fairly even as Preston's attack was better with more shots, scoring in the 5th minute but Aston Villa had better possession during the game building into shots in the 35th, 43rd and 61st minutes all going in as Preston's keeper has a nightmare game.
Bootle 2 - 0 Sunderland A.F.C. Birmingham St George's 0 - 1 Accrington Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 - 0 Bolton Wanderers West Bromwich Albion 3 - 0 Blackburn Rovers Sunderland Albion 4 - 0 Walsall Town Swifts
Accrington's slightly better offensive output helps then beat St George's in an even match. Wolves find themselves unlucky to beat Bolton, while S. Albion look on great form as they put 4 past Walsall. The way the results come out that means by alphabetical ordering Preston fall into the bottom half for the first time.
Week 4
Sunderland A.F.C. do look the better side as they beat their local rivals with a 25th minute goal at Newcastle Road.
Accrington 1 - 1 Bootle Bolton Wanderers 1 - 0 Birmingham St George's Aston Villa 1 - 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers Blackburn Rovers 0 - 0 Preston North End Walsall Town Swifts 1 - 2 West Bromwich Albion
Most games here showed accurate results for the game. Accrington slightly edges but not enough to win, while West Brom deserved more goals. Blackburn and Preston put on the dullest game in the League's history with Blackburn managing to make 2 shots on target all game for all the chances in the whole 90 minutes. At least Ewood Park is a nice new stadium?

Week 5 Sunderland AFC vs. Accrington Bootle vs. Bolton Wanderers Highlight: Birmingham St George's vs. Aston Villa Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Blackburn Rovers Preston North End vs. Walsall Town Swifts Sunderland Albion vs. West Bromwich Albion
Highlight: Heading out to Cape Hill Brewery for another derby as the two Birmingham sides take each other on. Last season Aston Villa came out the better side, but St. George's have proven they have what it takes to challenge Villa on their day. If nothing else, the atmosphere should be great.
Week 6 Accrington vs. Sunderland Albion Bolton Wanderers vs. Sunderland AFC Aston Villa vs. Bootle Blackburn Rovers vs. Birmingham St. George's Walsall Town Swifts vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Highlight: West Bromwich Albion vs. Preston North End
Highlight: West Brom are the only undefeated side remaining this season and if they want to turn it into a proper title challenging, beating Preston will be a requirement so getting the chance to do it at Stoney Road first could be just the opportunity West Brom need.

Week 5 This is quite an even game with St George's looking the better side with a couple more clear chances and having slightly more possession. Villa would score on the edge of half time though and a second in 74th to steal a win.
Sunderland AFC 0 - 1 Accrington Bootle 3 - 0 Bolton Wanderers Wolverhampton Wanderers 3 - 2 Blackburn Rovers Preston North End 2 - 0 Walsall Town Swifts Sunderland Albion 0 - 1 West Bromwich Albion
Accrington win an even game while Bootle absolutely dominate Bolton. Wolves out class Blackburn. The biggest talking point was Walsall display against Preston where they had possession of the ball for a whopping 5 minutes.
Week 6
Incredibly even and dull affair, with West Brom taking 1 good shot and Preston taking 2.
Accrington 1 - 2 Sunderland Albion Bolton Wanderers 2 - 0 Sunderland AFC Aston Villa 3 - 0 Bootle Blackburn Rovers 3 - 1 Birmingham St George's Walsall Town Swifts 1 - 1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Bolton get the win in an even game against Sunderland AFC. Aston Villa and Blackburn dominate their opposites while Wolves steal a draw against a better Walsall side.

Highlight: The bottom two sides face off in the hopes of gaining any steam heading in to the later part of this season as we return to the Cape Hill Brewery. A combined 3 points for both these teams a win here will be vital in they hope to secure a spot in the next season of the Football League.

Week 7
Walsall get the scoring off early with a goal in the 14th minute and would hold on to the lead through to half-time. Very early in the second half St George's would equalise in the 52nd and the game would be deadlocked for almost 20 minutes before Walsall would score the winner in the 70th minute. Quite an even game St George's were unlucky to have a good chance saved.
Accrington 1 - 2 Bolton Wanderers Sunderland A.F.C. 1 - 1 Aston Villa Bootle 2 - 0 Blackburn Rovers Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 - 1 West Bromwich Albion Sunderland Albion 1 - 1 Preston North End
Sunderland AFC find themselves lucky to get a point against Villa, a good save for West Brom allows them to hold onto a point as Wolves looked slighter better while Sunderland Albion steal a point off Preston.
Week 8
Not a lot to say on this match, with Blackburn scoring in the 52nd minute to take home a deserved win.
Bolton Wanderers 1 - 3 Sunderland Albion Aston Villa 2 - 0 Accrington Walsall Town Swifts 0 - 3 Bootle West Bromwich Albion 1 - 2 Birmingham St George's Preston North End 4 - 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Bootle batter Walsall all match while in a shockingly even match St George's manage to sneak away with both points against leaders West Brom. Preston come alive in the second half of their match against Wolves to soundly win the match.

Week 9 & 10 Preview
Week 9 Highlight: Bolton Wanderers vs. Aston Villa Accrington vs. Blackburn Rovers Sunderland AFC vs. Walsall Town Swifts Bootle vs. West Bromwich Albion Birmingham St George's vs. Preston North End Sunderland Albion vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers
Highlight: Both these teams will be looking for points here as while Bolton sit safely above the drop, getting completely clear will be important, while Aston Villa sit top with West Brom and Bootle sitting right on their heels and further pack including Preston not far behind.
Week 10 Sunderland Albion vs. Aston Villa Blackburn Rovers vs. Bolton Wanderers Highlight: Walsall Town Swifts vs. Accrington West Bromwich Albion vs. Sunderland A.F.C. Preston North End vs. Bootle Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Birmingham St George's
Highlight: Neither of these teams have had the start to the season they would've been hoping for, as Walsall have managed only a single win and Accrington only have a mere two. While a win is not enough for either team to reach safety, it could be the start to gain some momentum and potential build into a better run.

Week 9 Villa look the better side throughout this match but can't find the back of the net, while Bolton score their chance in the 68th minute to steal the 2 points.
Accrington 1 - 0 Blackburn Rovers Sunderland A.F.C. 2 - 0 Walsall Town Swifts Bootle 2 - 0 West Bromwich Albion Birmingham St George's 1 - 0 Preston North End Sunderland Albion 2 - 1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Accrington look better than Blackburn and easily could've scored more. St George's score in the 10th minute and completely shut Preston out, not allowing any good shots. Wolves find themselves slightly unlucky against Sunderland Albion, with all goals coming in the first half.
Week 10
Accrington look the better side throughout, but Walsall look set to pull off a draw in this one as we reach 90 minutes without any goals. Accrington score in added time however to take both points.
Sunderland Albion 2 - 2 Aston Villa Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 Bolton Wanderers West Bromwich Albion 0 - 1 Sunderland AFC Preston North End 2 - 0 Bootle Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 1 Birmingham St George's
Villa are unlucky not to be S. Albion, while West Brom lose an even match after being unable to find any good shots. Wolves come alive in the second half of the match to steal the winner from a better St George's side.

Week 11 Highlight: Aston Villa vs. Blackburn Rovers Bolton Wanderers vs. Walsall Town Swifts Accrington vs. West Bromwich Albion Sunderland A.F.C. vs. Preston North End Bootle vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Birmingham St George's vs. Sunderland Albion
Highlight: While this match isn't the most likely to be close with Blackburn sitting in the re-election zone while Villa are currently top of the league Blackburn are known to pull off random good results and strong runs of form to save themselves and could do so again at Wellington Road.
Week 12 Bootle vs. Birmingham St George's Sunderland AFC vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Accrington vs. Preston North End Highlight: Bolton Wanderers vs. West Bromwich Albion Aston Villa vs. Walsall Town Swifts Blackburn Rovers vs. Sunderland Albion
Highlight: Tied on points and both only 2 points of league leaders Aston Villa, the winner of this match at Pike's Lane will almost certainly launch themselves into the title fight, while the other might find themselves stuck too far off to properly challenge.

Week 13 & 14 Preview
Week 13 Highlight: Sunderland Albion vs. Bootle Birmingham St George's vs. Sunderland AFC Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Accrington Preston North End vs. Bolton Wanderers West Bromwich Albion vs. Aston Villa Walsall Town Swifts vs. Blackburn Rovers
Highlight: There are a lot of great matches on this week, but I think a trip out to Blue House Field to see the two teams which joined the league from the Football Alliance face each other should produce a good result, particularly considering both sides are inside the strong top group.
Week 14 Sunderland AFC vs. Bootle Highlight: Accrington vs. Birmingham St George's Bolton Wanderers vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Aston Villa vs. Preston North End Blackburn Rovers vs. West Bromwich Albion Walsall Town Swifts vs. Sunderland Albion
Highlight: Thorneyholme Road is the last stadium on our list that we haven't visited and not many sides are as likely to give Accrington a good game as the BSG, who just seem to be running on a string of bad luck in some of their recent games. For both team, this will be a critical match to have any hope of avoiding facing re-election.

Sunderland A.F.C. 0 - 0 Bootle Bolton Wanderers 3 - 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers Aston Villa 1 - 1 Preston North End Blackburn Rovers 1 - 0 West Bromwich Albion Walsall Town Swifts 2 - 3 Sunderland Albion
Wolves get completely dominated by Bolton throughout their match. Preston and Villa tie in the match where Preston look the slightly better side. Blackburn win a dead-even match against West Brom with an 11th minute goal. Walsall try to get themselves back in the match against S. Albion, threatening to pull a draw in but never quite managing. At this point they are officially unable to win the league.

Coming up against Aston Villa who will be looking for wins to win their first ever league title and played at one of the two newest stadiums at the Molineux could provide a great match.

Week 15 Wolves did not show up for this match, conceding two early goals in the 16th and 23rd minute. Villa would score a last one in added time which didn't change much.
Sunderland Albion 2 - 1 Sunderland A.F.C. Bootle 3 - 1 Accrington Birmingham St George's 4 - 1 Bolton Wanderers Preston North End 2 - 0 Blackburn Rovers West Bromwich Albion 2 - 0 Walsall Town Swifts
In the Sunderland (Wear?) Derby, Albion take a deserved win in the rematch. Bolton have a very effective attack against BSG, rarely having the ball but still managing to have plenty of decent chances. This match also featured many early goals, with the match 2-1 after 23 minutes. Blackburn's visit to Deepdale goes poorly as Preston completely dominate them.
Week 16
As expected Preston took the win, scoring in 2 goals in the first half and a third in the 61st minute. Walsall managed to comeback well after the third to score just 7 minutes later but were completely out of the match.
Accrington 2 - 0 Sunderland A.F.C. Bolton Wanderers 0 - 1 Bootle Aston Villa 2 - 1 Birmingham St George's Blackburn Rovers 1 - 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers West Bromwich Albion 4 - 0 Sunderland Albion
Sunderland AFC lose out despite being the better side against Accrington as Aston Villa defeat BSG to officially end any chance of a ridiculous title run. Blackburn and Wolves put on the match of the day, with Wolves scoring in 5 minutes which took a 19th minute goal to even the score. Wolves would win the match with just 2 minutes left on the clock and confirming Blackburn mathematically unable to win.

Week 17 & 18 Preview
Week 17 Sunderland Albion vs. Accrington Sunderland AFC vs. Bolton Wanderers Bootle vs. Aston Villa Highlight: Birmingham St George's vs. Blackburn Rovers Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Walsall Town Swifts Preston North End vs. West Bromwich Albion
Highlight: For both of these teams this will be a critical match for trying to confirm their spot in the league next season as they face off at Cape Hill Brewery. Currently both are only a couple wins off safety and beating another side in the lower half off the table will be vital to avoid the vote.
Week 18 Bolton Wanderers vs. Accrington Aston Villa vs. Sunderland AFC Blackburn Rovers vs. Bootle Walsall Town Swifts vs. Birmingham St George's Highlight: West Bromwich Albion vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers Preston North End vs. Sunderland Albion
Highlight: Both of these sides sit just above the re-election line and they'll both be looking for the win at Stoney Lane as the two rivals seek to guarantee their spot in the next season without having to face re-election. Throughout this season both sides have been on very patchy forms so the match could easily go either way.

Week 17 Blackburn open the scoring at Cape Hill Brewery in the 22nd minute and put away BSG in the 76th minute to help move they closer to reaching safety in the final days once again.
Sunderland Albion 1 - 0 Accrington Sunderland A.F.C. 3 - 0 Bolton Wanderers Bootle 1 - 3 Aston Villa Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 - 0 Walsall Town Swifts Preston North End 1 - 0 West Bromwich Albion
Preston and Wolves completely shut out their opponents, allowing no good shots all game. Following this week, Aston Villa are officially confirmed for next season as Accrington can no longer pass them. Alongside this, Walsall are officially going to face re-election at the end of this season.
Week 18
This was an unexciting week for matches (with 1 exception) and this match perfectly highlighted this. West Brom were 2-0 up at half-time while Wolves failed to make a single shot on target.
Bolton Wanderers 2 - 0 Accrington Aston Villa 3 - 0 Sunderland A.F.C. Blackburn Rovers 3 - 2 Bootle Walsall Town Swifts 0 - 2 Birmingham St George's Preston North End 1 - 0 Sunderland Albion
Every game but one had a clear with from the start. Bootle looked set to beat Blackburn after getting 2-0 up by half time only for Blackburn to comeback in it and score goals in the 68th, 76th and 83rd minutes to take the win in what ended up an even match. After this week, the title fight is definitively narrowed down to Preston and Villa (plus technically also S Albion). Preston are also confirmed for next season.

Week 19 & 20
Week 19 Sunderland Albion vs. Bolton Wanderers Accrington vs. Aston Villa Highlight: Sunderland AFC vs. Blackburn Rovers Bootle vs. Walsall Town Swifts Birmingham St George's vs. West Bromwich Albion Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Preston North End
Highlight: The winner of this match will be just above the re-election zone, while the loser will almost certainly be put in a tough position trying to guarantee their spot in the league next season as they face very similar runs of games remaining, including both facing the top 2 on the final week.
Week 20 Highlight: Aston Villa vs. Bolton Wanderers Blackburn Rovers vs. Accrington Walsall Town Swifts vs. Sunderland AFC West Bromwich Albion vs. Bootle Preston North End vs. Birmingham St George's Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Sunderland Albion
Highlight: I expect this to be the match where Villa win the title, so while I fully expect this to be a Villa win, we can also see them winning the trophy.
