Wrestling doesn't have enough double noggin knockers anymore. I always loved the double noggin knocker. I figured Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect would be... well... perfect in that role.

WCW Clash Of The Champions XVIII
Courtesy of the Pro Wrestling Hotline!
-The Steiner Bros. def Big Van Vader & Mr. Hughes
-Gordon Solie interviewed Sting, Barry Windham, Ron Simmons, Dustin Rhodes & Ricky Steamboat about Paul E. Dangerously & his Dangerous Alliance. Sting, Windham & Simmons put over how they would take care of Rick Rude, Steve Austin & Larry Zbyszko in the main event tonight, while Rhodes & Steamboat said they would retain their WCW World Tag Titles against Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton.
-Brian Pillman & Marcus Alexander Bagwell def. Cactus Jack & Abdullah the Butcher
-Cactus yelled at Abdullah after the match as Abdullah had accidentally hit Cactus to cause the loss. Abdullah didn't take Jack's criticisms very well & the two brawled all the way to the back.
-Brad Armstrong, Shane Douglas & Robert Gibson def. The York Foundation (Terrence Taylor, Richard Morton & Thomas Rich) The story of this match is that Alexandra York feels that Richard Morton is the weak link of the York Foundation & has brought Terrence Taylor back into the fold to bring business back up. Brad Armstrong, Shane Douglas & Richard Morton's former tag partner, Robert Gibson, have been trying to help Morton see the light. Even Morton has shown hints that he may be realizing that he's being mistreated by his York Foundation teammates. Morton took the loss here, so you know Alexandra York, Terrence Taylor & Thomas Rich will be blaming him for the loss.
-Tony Schiavone interviewed Theodore Long & Butch Reed about Reed's recent return. Long & Reed said they would make Johnny B. Badd pay for being an ingrate after everything Long did for Johnny.
-We saw a skit where Kevin Sullivan & Woman are at an undisclosed location that is dark & foreboding. With them is a masked man that they refer to as Dark Tiger. They put over that they discovered him in Mexico, where he hurt everyone with no remorse & no regards to the rules. That's just how Kevin Sullivan & Woman like it, so they have recruited him to help in their quest to vanquish the heroes of WCW, starting with a new superhero who has arrived on the scene: Mr. JL. Sullivan & Woman say that Dark Tiger knows Mr. JL very well. If Mr. JL is Superman, then Dark Tiger is Lex Luthor. Soon, Kevin Sullivan & Dark Tiger will dominate WCW, & they won't need a whole alliance to do it.
-Tom Zenk def. JT Southern after a distraction by Van Hammer, who accompanied Zenk to ringside. Southern tried to cheat to win the match by putting his feet on the ropes, but Van Hammer got the ref's attention. The ref kicked Southern's feet off the rope, & Southern yelled at both the ref & Van Hammer, allowing Zenk to get the win with a Flying Crossbody.
-JT Southern was furious & proceeded to get in a wild melee with Van Hammer.
-Tony Schiavone interviewed Paul E. Dangerously, Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton before their WCW World Tag Title match against Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes. Paul E. said that Dustin Rhodes pulled a fast one on Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko back in November, but things are different this time around. Now it's the Dangerous Alliance pulling a fast one on Steamboat & Rhodes by throwing a new combination at them that they've never faced before. Arn said that last time out, he admits that he & Larry weren't prepared for Rhodes to bring in Steamboat. But now, are Steamboat & Rhodes prepared to face a new tag team combination that they have never faced before? A combination that brings together the two best tag team wrestlers in the world? The trio walk off as Bobby Eaton doesn't have anything to add.
-Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton def. Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes to win the WCW World Tag Team Championship after Paul E. Dangerously threw his cellphone to Eaton, who blasted Rhodes in the head with it while the ref was distracted with Anderson & Steamboat brawling outside the ring.
-Eric Bischoff is backstage to interview Diamond Dallas Page, who is with the Diamond Studd & one of the newest members of the Diamond Exchange, Scotty Flamingo. Eric Bischoff reminds DDP, who is wearing a cast on his right arm, that Scotty Flamingo was to replace him in the tag match against Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin, the Fabulous Freebirds, tonight. But Flamingo now has his arm in a sling, so Bischoff wants to know just what is going on, & questions the validity of DDP's & Flamingo's "injuries." DDP, Diamond Studd & Scotty Flamingo are all mad at Bischoff's line of questioning & say that they had doctor's notes to prove that the injuries were legit, but DDP's dog ate the doctor's notes. Bischoff rolls his eyes as DDP reveals his big surprise to team up with the Diamond Studd: standing at 7 feet tall, none other than the newest member of the Diamond Exchange, Vinnie Vegas. Vegas says he's known Dallas since his days of working as a bouncer in Las Vegas, & tonight, he's going to help bounce the Freebirds out of WCW for good, capiche?
-Vinnie Vegas & the Diamond Studd def. The Fabulous Freebirds thanks to outside interference from DDP. Scotty Flamingo distracted the referee, allowing DDP to clock Jimmy Garvin in the head with his cast, allowing Vinnie Vegas to hit the Snake Eyes on Garvin to win the match.
-Michael Hayes, who was brawling with the Diamond Studd outside the ring, sees what has transpired & goes in to attack, but the Diamond Exchange start beating him & Jimmy Garvin down. Jim Ross notes that DDP & Scotty Flamingo don't look too hurt to him, but Jesse Ventura countered & said that great outstanding athletes like them can withstand the pain. El Gigante then came down to the ring & cleared everyone out save for Vinnie Vegas. Despite giving up seven inches in height to El Gigante, Vegas refused to back down & had to be talked out of the ring by DDP.
-Missy Hyatt interviewed Harley Race & Lex Luger, who put over tonight's WCW World Title defense against the Great Muta. Missy Hyatt questioned Harley Race & Lex Luger about when Lex Luger would finally put the WCW World Heavyweight Title on the line against Sting, noting that they were ducking him the whole time he was #1 contender. Race & Luger said that they would face Sting when the time was right.
-Lex Luger def. The Great Muta to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
-Backstage, Missy Hyatt tracked down the new WCW Commissioner, Magnum T.A. She asked him what he thought about what Harley Race & Lex Luger had to say about how Luger would put the title on the line when the time was right. Magnum T.A. said that neither Harley Race nor Lex Luger can decide when title matches take place, only the Championship Committee &/or the Commissioner can. Magnum said that the most Harley & Lex could do would be to get approval from the Championship Committee &/or the Commissioner for open challenges, when to defend against someone, etc. Magnum said he talked with the committee while they watched Luger's title defense just now against the Great Muta, & they all agreed that at SuperBrawl II, Lex Luger would defend the WCW World Heavyweight Title against Sting, & there is nothing Harley Race & Lex Luger can do about it.
-Gordon Solie is backstage with Dangerous Alliance members Paul E. Dangerously, Madusa, Rick Rude, Steve Austin & Larry Zbyszko. They talk about how Phase One is complete with Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton winning the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Phase Two is now upon us, with the Dangerous Alliance set to decimate Sting & his friends.
-The Dangerous Alliance (Rick Rude, Steve Austin & Larry Zbyszko) def. Sting, Barry Windham & Ron Simmons when Arn Anderson ran in & nailed Ron Simmons with a DDT while the ref was knocked out. Carnage was the name of the game as the match broke down into a melee toward the end, with Rude, Austin & Zbyszko fighting it out with Sting & Windham outside the ring. Before Sting & Windham could get any measure of revenge on the Dangerous Alliance, Paul E. got his group out of there as fast as he could as Sting & Windham opted to check on their teammate, Ron Simmons.

Wrestling Observer News & Notes:
WCW News
The recent Clash Of The Champions that took place a few weeks ago in Topeka, Kansas was a success. They managed to sell out without having to paper the arena too much, & it's believed that the Dangerous Alliance storyline is a factor as that has generated new interest in WCW. This is good news indeed as WCW was in need of a strong heel faction with Ric Flair, & effectively, the Four Horsemen, gone from the company.
Look for Eric Bischoff to try & ride the JT Southern vs. Van Hammer storyline out. Early reports are that their feud was already bombing, so both of them have been shoehorned into the Freebirds vs. Diamond Exchange storyline, along with El Gigante. I understand the reasoning why as the Diamond Exchange would have an unfair numbers advantage over just Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin. It's just too bad that those talents have to work with dead weight such as Van Hammer & El Gigante, although JT Southern isn't terrible. He's probably best used as someone to put other talent over, though.
In one of the funnier stories that I've heard, Scott Steiner made a mess backstage at a recent WCW TV taping. He was brought before Wrestler's Court, where the judge, Harley Race, ordered him to clean up the mess, then buy drinks for everyone after the show. Steiner, who told the story to me himself, with the story being confirmed by Race, did his best Harley Race impression when he quoted Race as saying "Now pick up that damn mess & buy everyone the best drinks on God's green earth!" Even Scott Steiner listens to Harley Race.
Eric Bischoff is doing his best to play peacemaker as it involves Tom Zenk, Dusty Rhodes & Ole Anderson. Given the strong personalities involved, getting a great match out of PN News will be much easier. Speaking of the rap master, don't expect his recently formed team with Big Josh to lead to a big push. It's said that this is a short term plan in order to lead to a heel turn from Big Josh. The rumor going around is that he may become a member of the York Foundation, which is getting renewed emphasis with Richard Morton most likely turning babyface to reunite the Rock 'N' Roll Express with Robert Gibson. Thank goodness they didn't rename Terrence Taylor as the Taylor Made Man as was rumored.
Big Van Vader defeated Shinya Hashimoto to become the new NWA World's Heavyweight Champion at New Japan's Wrestling World event at the Tokyo Dome. It has yet to be acknowledged on WCW TV, but it may soon get some play as WCW finally reached a settlement with the WWF over the big gold belt that was used as WCW's World Heavyweight Title. This might explain why WCW is in talks to rejoin the NWA, although they may not be a long term member.
WWF News
Vince McMahon is said to be pleased with Bam Bam Bigelow's recent performances in a dark match before Monday Night Raw, as well as at some recent house shows. McMahon likes that Bigelow can play either heel or babyface, so expect Bigelow to be presented as a bit of a tweener when he does debut on TV. His televised debut is put on hold for now as he is finishing up his commitments with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The numbers are in, & the Royal Rumble PPV buy rate in the US was even better than first reported, with the number of buys totaling 503,752. This is up from last year's PPV buy rate in the US, which is surprising given the scandals that the WWF faced throughout 1991. The intrigue of the storyline involving who would win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship certainly played a role in the interest to the event, & there is an internal feeling that the creative that goes into putting together episodic television on Monday Night Raw could be playing a factor as well.
Speaking of Monday Night Raw, the USA Network is pleased with the creative & ratings success of the show, the latter of which may improve even more with the USA Network finding its way into more homes. Given the weak lineup of the USA Network after Raw goes off the air, the network has been granting the WWF an overrun, which the WWF have gladly taken advantage of. There is even talks of the show being granted 90 minutes or even 2 hours on special occasions.
Adnan Al-Kaissie, better known as General Adnan, has signed a new 2-year deal with the WWF that doesn't involve having to wrestle in the ring at all. He could still manage if need be, but he is reportedly going to be utilized more as a road agent given his many years of experience.

WWF Monday Night Raw Monday, Wk 1, February 1992 Manhattan Center, New York City Attendance: 1,200 (Sold out!)Dark Match: -Skinner def. Chris Walker by pinfall with the Gatorbreaker
Main Show: -After the show intro, Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert are hyping up tonight's show as we see a brief video of the Legion Of Doom training backstage for their title defense later tonight.
-Now to inside the arena, with the Manhattan Center fans going crazy & the sirens going off. Vince McMahon says that he has a big surprise for everyone at home. The camera cuts over to show Gorilla Monsoon making his way down to ringside, gently slapping hands with fans on his way to the announce area. Eddie Gilbert is wondering just what is this all about. Vince says "Eddie, since Bobby Heenan sprung you on me a few weeks ago, I thought it was only fair that for tonight only, since he was in the area, I invite Gorilla Monsoon to join us on the broadcast." Eddie is not happy about this at all. "Why didn't you tell me about this until now, Vin-Daddy?!" "I'll be your daddy here in a minute if you don't watch it," retorts Gorilla Monsoon. Vince sends it down to ringside as Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan make their way down to the ring for tag team action. -Sgt. Slaughter & Jim Duggan def. Barry Hardy & Duane Gill by submission when Sgt. Slaughter made Duane Gill unconscious with the Cobra Clutch. The announce team put over how the tag team division was getting even more competitive now that Sgt. Slaughter & Jim Duggan are finding their stride as a team. -After the match, Vince immediately throws it to Part 1 of highlights from the WrestleMania VIII press conference that took place in Indianapolis, Indiana yesterday. From left to right, seated with empty chairs in between so as to prevent chaos from breaking out: Hulk Hogan & "Macho Man" Randy Savage seated at one table on the viewer's far left. Security is between that table & another table that seats the Undertaker & Paul Bearer. Next to that table is the podium, & then on the viewer's right side, we see Sid Justice & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper seated at their own table. President Jack Tunney makes his way to the podium & says that he has called these men to the press conference because they have all shown that they all have a strong case to challenge Ric Flair for the WWF World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania VIII after their showing at the Royal Rumble. But before he renders his decision, he wanted to bring out the WWF World Heavyweight Champion & his executive consultant to say a few words. Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect talk about how they proved the doubters wrong at the Royal Rumble, & they will prove the doubters wrong again at WrestleMania VIII. It didn't matter who was deemed the #1 contender because Ric Flair is the best athlete in the world today. We cut back to Vince, Eddie & Gorilla at the broadcast table, & Vince says there is more footage from the press conference, but that will be shown later on in the program. "Up next, we talk to Virgil, Tito Santana, Repo Man & Irwin R. Schyster about the big TV Title match on Saturday Night's Main Event between Virgil & IRS. Plus, Wendi Richter in action! The debut of Tatanka! And the Legion Of Doom defending the WWF World Tag Team Championship against the Beverly Brothers!" COMMERCIAL BREAK-Back from commercial break, & Tito Santana & Virgil join via satellite from one studio, while Repo Tax join via satellite from another studio. They hype up the upcoming TV Title match to crown the first ever WWF Television Champion on Saturday Night's Main Event in less than two weeks. Repo Tax make their case as to why Irwin will win the match, putting over that Irwin is a superior technical wrestler to Virgil, who only knows how to brawl & throw punches. IRS says "By the way, aren't closed fists illegal?" Repo Man chimes in & says that Virgil can fight all he wants, but once Irwin gets a hold of him & wrestles him down, it's all over. Virgil responds & says that Tito Santana has been teaching him wrestling lessons to help him improve his abilities. Tito & Virgil acknowledge that IRS may be the better wrestler, but Virgil is indeed the better fighter, & all it takes is one blow to hit just right, & Virgil will be the first ever WWF TV Champion. "Add to that the technical wrestling that I have been showing Virgil, & you will be in trouble, Irwin. Arriba!" -Wendi Richter vs. Debbie Malenko Debbie is already in the ring as Howard Finkel announces her, then Wendi Richter comes out to heavier rock sounding music fitting for a vixen like her. Vince McMahon puts over that Debbie Malenko has been plying her craft all the way over in Japan & was trained by the great Boris Malenko. Gorilla Monsoon says that Boris was so impressed by how well she did in her training that he, along with his family, gave their blessing for Debbie to adopt the Malenko name. Eddie says that's all fine & dandy, but she's only a rookie & is up against a veteran of the mat & a woman with a new attitude to boot, Wendi Richter. Debbie gives Wendi a run for her money though & puts up a heck of a fight. However, when Debbie runs the ropes & goes for a dropkick, Wendi ducks out of the way, causing Debbie to accidentally hit referee Danny Davis! Wendi grabs Debbie by the hair & throws her out of the ring. Wendi looks on as an unknown woman dressed in blue jeans with some rips in them & a black leather jacket over a black shirt appears from the crowd & jumps the barricade. Security is about to swarm in, but Wendi holds them off. Are you going to argue with Wendi, after all?! The unknown woman immediately scoops Debbie up & body slams her down hard to the floor. She then picks Debbie up & holds her above her head in a gorilla press, then tosses her back into the ring through the ropes. She & Wendi give each other knowing glances as Wendi rolls back into the ring & revives referee Danny Davis. Wendi picks a lifeless Debbie up, hoists her up onto her shoulders & slams her down hard with a Death Valley Driver. Eddie Gilbert informs Vince McMahon & Gorilla that Wendi Richter told him that she calls it the Siren's Fall. ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner: Wendi Richter
-Sean Mooney makes his way down to ringside to interview Wendi Richter & asks her who on earth this unknown woman is. Wendi says that she has recently gotten to know this lady, & that she has the same mindset & goals. Her name is Tori, & she met her while wrestling in Las Vegas before returning to the WWF. Wendi puts over how Tori is not only the most powerful woman she has ever met, she is stronger than even Wendi herself! Wendi warns Rockin' Robin that if she really wants to mess with her (Wendi), then she needs to keep in mind that she's messing with Tori as well.
COMMERCIAL BREAK-Back from commercial break, & Vince McMahon throws to the rest of the highlights from the WrestleMania VIII press conference. Pres. Tunney is back at the podium, & he announces that both Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice lobbied him to wrestle each other at WrestleMania VIII. Tunney says that he told them that if he were to grant that, then they would have to wait for a later date to compete for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. They told him that they were fine with that because they both needed to find out who the better man was. Sid takes to the podium first & says that Hulk Hogan was his inspiration to make it to this level, but everything got out of hand at the Royal Rumble. Sid said that he was so furious at how everything went down that he wanted a match with Hogan at WrestleMania VIII, but in recent days has had regret over how everything went down. However, being a man of his word, Sid will still compete in the match but hopes that it can be a good, clean fight. Hogan gets up out his seat & Pres. Tunney is prepared to try & keep the two big men separated, but Hogan shakes his head & says it's fine. With the way the mics on the podium are positioned, we can hear Hogan tell Sid that he too has had regret in recent days over how everything went down. "And you know what, brother? It's my fault. I yelled at you when the whole thing at the Royal Rumble wasn't even your fault. And even if you had done it on purpose, I still wouldn't have a right to yell at you because the Rumble is every man for himself. I am a man of my word as well, & I will compete in this match to see if I still have what it takes to wrestle at the highest level in the WWF." Hogan sticks out his hand, & Sid shakes it. The two nod before sitting back down at their chairs.
Pres. Tunney turns his attention the WWF World Title picture. He says that with Sid & Hogan taking themselves out of the running for the WWF World Heavyweight Title, that leaves three men: the Undertaker, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. The Undertaker is a former champion & never received a rematch against Hogan after Tuesday In Texas because of his (Tunney's) decision to vacate the title. Therefore, the Undertaker will receive a title match before WrestleMania VIII at a time & place to be determined. That brings us to Randy Savage & Roddy Piper. These two also want to compete against each other, but want to get that match out of the way now before WrestleMania. "That match will take place not tomorrow night, but on Monday Night Raw the following week. Furthermore, the winner of that match will go on to WrestleMania VIII & challenge for the WWF World Heavyweight Title against whoever the champion may be at that point." Tunney pointed out how Savage & Piper still had scores to settle with other competitors as well. Therefore, if Randy Savage wins, he competes for the WWF World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania, & will face Jake "The Snake" Roberts on Saturday Night's Main Event. Roddy Piper would then face Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania. However, if Roddy Piper wins, then he would receive the title shot at WrestleMania & face Shawn Michaels on Saturday Night's Main Event. And Randy Savage would then face Jake "The Snake" Roberts at WrestleMania. With that, the press conference is over.
COMMERCIAL BREAK-Tatanka def. Buddy Rose by pinfall with a Samoan Drop that Tatanka refers to as the Papoose To Go.
-Vince throws it to Mean Gene Okerlund, who files a report from the WWF Control Center. Gene says he was in Chicago this past weekend at the Rosemont Horizon, conducting an in-ring interview with Kevin & Kerry Von Erich when who should show up but Mr. Fuji. Fuji told them that his Orient Express was superior to them in every way, so Kevin & Kerry decided to send a message to the Orient Express via getting their hands on Mr. Fuji. Just when it looked like they were going to get their hands on Fuji, Pat Tanaka & Kato ran in from the audience, slid into the ring & brutally attacked the Von Erichs! We see video footage from the event showing how the whole thing went down. Gene says that the Von Erichs were checked out by medical staff after the attack, & thankfully they didn't sustain any injuries, not even minor ones. Gene said that Kevin & Kerry told him that the Orient Express made a big mistake by not making sure they had finished them off. The Von Erichs have promised revenge & will be looking to finish off the Orient Express once & for all. -Back to the broadcast table, & Vince informs us that the production crew heard about a disturbance going on outside the Manhattan Center, so Sean Mooney & a camera crew were dispatched to check it out. "Sean, what can you bring us?" Sean Mooney is standing outside with a masked individual wearing a cape & holding a sign that says "Reinstate!" Sean informs us that he seems to remember this man, & Eddie Gilbert points out "Yeah, that's the Blue Blazer!" Sean says the man has been outside the whole show holding the sign up while shouting into a bullhorn about how President Jack Tunney made the wrong decision to suspend Owen Hart for 120 days. There wasn't much officials could do because the Blue Blazer is well within his rights to protest so long as he didn't attack anyone or try to enter the building without a ticket. Sean then asks him why he is here protesting Owen's suspension. The Blue Blazer says that yes, he did compete here once before, & left the WWF to wrestle in Japan & Mexico. When he heard about what the Mountie & Jimmy Hart did to Owen, he was disgusted. He was even more disgusted when he heard that Pres. Tunney suspended Owen for 120 days after attacking numerous officials. Eddie Gilbert interrupts on commentary & shouts "Don't you guys hear that voice?! That is Owen Hart!" The Blue Blazer tells Eddie Gilbert not to be ridiculous because he is not Owen Hart. He said Owen was a much better looking man, thus why the Blue Blazer wears a mask. Sean Mooney asks the Blue Blazer if he plans on returning to the WWF, & the Blazer says that while he is unhappy about Pres. Tunney's suspension of Owen Hart, he does look forward to negotiating a new contract to compete in the WWF. Sean Mooney sends it back to the broadcast team, & Eddie Gilbert is beside himself. Gorilla tells him to relax & chill out. The Blue Blazer said himself that he's not Owen Hart. Eddie Gilbert again brings up that the voice was Owen's, so therefore it has to be Owen Hart. Vince McMahon chimes in & says there are people who have similar voices, so how do we know that isn't the case here? Eddie gives up as Vince hypes up that the Tag Title match is next!
COMMERCIAL BREAK-Back from the break, & the Genius reads a poem where he makes fun of the Legion Of Doom. He closes it out by saying, "The match will end when the referee counts 'One, two, three.' And Howard Finkel will proclaim to the world, 'Your new Tag Team Champions... the Brothers Beverly." -WWF World Tag Team Championship The Beverly Bros. w/The Genius (Challengers) vs. The Legion Of Doom (Champions)
The Beverly Bros. were on their A game tonight as they did battle with the Legion Of Doom. However, Hawk & Animal showed why they had been dominant champions as well. The match went back & forth until the Beverly Bros. gained the upper hand & did their best to wear down Hawk. But he finally managed to make the hot tag to Animal & he tore the house down as the Manhattan Center came alive. Animal tagged Hawk back in as Earthquake made his way down to ringside. Vince wondered what on earth he was doing out here, & Eddie said maybe he wanted to protest this title match like how Owen Hart protested his own suspension. Gorilla corrected Eddie & said that was the Blue Blazer who protested, not Owen. Eddie was not amused at Gorilla's correction. Referee Earl Hebner is distracted by Earthquake's presence at ringside. Animal is as well & hops out of the ring, backing Earthquake off as he shouts at him for being out here. Hawk is doing a number on both Beverly Brothers & looks to have things well in hand. The Genius hops up on the ring apron, & Hawk nails him as well! During the distraction, Typhoon comes in from the crowd & grabs the ring bell. Vince & Gorilla are yelling at Typhoon to put the ring bell back, & Typhoon is yelling back at them. Hawk sees Typhoon & goes over to grab him by the back of his hair, but Typhoon hits him with the ring bell! Typhoon puts the bell up & leaves as Animal winds up deciding to chase Earthquake to the back to try & get rid of the distraction. Earl Hebner turns around & sees the pinfall cover. "ONE..." Vince shouts "No, not this way!" "TWO... THREE!"
Winners & New WWF World Tag Team Champions: The Beverly Bros.
The Beverlys' music plays & Howard Finkel confirms the title change with his signature announcement, which gets Animal's attention as he appears back from behind the curtain. He is shocked & runs down to the ring as the Genius manages to help the Beverly Bros. out of the ring with the WWF Tag Team belts. They leave the ring & are happy while in pain, & Animal goes to check on Hawk. Animal yells at Earl Hebner, asking him what happened, but Earl says he doesn't know other than he saw Blake covering Hawk. Eddie Gilbert is loving this as he proclaims "First Ted DiBiase! Then Ric Flair! Now the Beverly Brothers are the new Tag Team Champions! And when Irwin R. Schyster wins the TV Title, the WWF will have champions that kids can be proud of!" Gorilla Monsoon shouts "Are you kidding me?! This is a miscarriage of justice! Earl Hebner made a big mistake & should've disqualified the Beverly Bros. for Earthquake's interference!" Eddie points out that Earthquake never touched Animal, & that it was Animal that chose to run after Earthquake. Vince McMahon says that surely there will be fall out from this & closes out the show.

There were tag team champions and on the WWF, they cast a shadow of gloom.
These ruffians were known, as the Legion of Doom.
However from this darkness, there emerged much glee.
For your new tag team champions, are the Brothers Beverley.

I wanted to get a bit of feedback here for something I'm considering that is cosmetic related. You'll notice that the champions listing (will be updated soon, btw) is in the first post, which puts it in the same post as the backstory. That was because I forgot to reserve another post for champion & roster related listings. I have considered making some edits & moving the champions listings/roster related items into the second post so that it can have its own space. Then move the Wrestling Observer news items I wrote up in the second post into the third post. And if anyone wanted to change their likes that they posted, feel free. But before I do, I wanted to see what everyone thought, gauge the feedback & go from there.
Also, I'll periodically copy & paste the champions stuff as its own post every so often to help catch people up if they're reading later into the diary & don't feel like going to the first page of the thread.

Apologies for the triple post. I went ahead & made the changes that I had considered, & hopefully you all enjoy them. I will post a champions roll call as a bit of an update after the next WWF Superstars is posted in a few days time.

My own two cents, I usually leave the first roster/champions post alone. Because I feel like changing it every time I change a champion feels like it's giving out spoilers to anyone who comes along later. But just because that is how I look at it, doesn't mean that's the same for everyone else.
