I'd never think I'd see a PCM diary here... with a Portuguese team, nonetheless! Well, it won't be Portuguese anymore as the Palmans deal is really the best one to sign.
Fact: I was a terrible PCM player when I was young, but I like checking other people's saves.

But Palmans is the best deal, it has markets and adds extra challenge to keep the sponsors happy. |

But Palmans is the best deal, it has markets and adds extra challenge to keep the sponsors happy. We are everywhere, they say... and in BTB there are some, from what I'm aware. EXCITING NEWS | TRANSFER MARKET The major reason is that now we will have markets which will add another layer of complexity to the sponsor confidence and is a mechanic that I'm not very aware of although I know that hiring riders with the nationality of the given markets will please the sponsors.  Decided to give 3 year contracts to this riders so we don't have to spend that much points in two seasons, already planning ahead. I decided to hire some Italian riders to please the sponsors as well. This means that Manuel Abreu Campos, Manuel Rodriguez Gil and Joaquim Dias Salgado will leave our team at the end of the season. I think age was a factor and the points they were asking were too much, 28 for Manuel Rodriguez Gil and 18 for Manuel Abreu Campos. The squad will be introduced next season and I will reveal the stats of the new cyclists. Now onto the rest of the season which quite frankly will be mostly quick simulation, as now it only counts points for rankings and not much else, but will attend the objective races for the sake of the diary and realism. Let's see if we improve our team index as well to rise to Continental Pro, but I highly doubt it. Maybe next year we can find some good regens. |

Recap: June/July/August As we can see in the bottom we're already ranked at 32th place so we won't reach Continental Pro level this year. Some noteworthy results. But besides Sibiu Cycling Tour the rest was quickly simulated. |

NO RESULTS
Yes I have no results for the last part of the season, managed a top 5 at Tour of Croatia but simulated until the 25th of October and the results were deleted. I could look them up in archives but is not needed.
Next year we will be Palmans and I will introduce the squad and objective once we reach there. |

PALMANS 1997 We can already see the territories making a huge difference in the starting confidence and in objectives for the season, some of the objectives are really hard. OBJECTIVES IN DETAIL  Like in last season only objectives until August really matter for the sponsor confidence but will give my best to reach some of them. Some are really difficult and you will see why in detail as we go through another season. Next up is squad presentation. |

PALMANS SQUAD | 1997 Sampaio Campos is now our main sprinter as he has developed quite well last year. You can see a big difference in his stats and that should help us through the season.  Another rider that has developed is Jose Azevedo, despite not having many wins last season I count on him for one day races, breakaway and leadout sprinter. Although his salary is quite high, I think I might renew with him at the end of the season.  One of our best signings for 1997 and still with a lot of potential, Rinaldo Nocentini, we count on him for punchy and mountain finishes.  A pure climber that will help us greatly on mountain stages still quite young too.  Andrego Andrade also has developed and can count on him for hilly sprint finishes too or as a 2nd sprinter. Let's see how he rides this year.  Roberto Gusmeroli another signing for the mountain stages as main helper or even leader also from Italy to please our sponsors. FULL SQUAD Now it's time to prepare the first few months of the year and to ride for those objectives in order to increase our budget and sign better riders if we can afford to. |

Herald Sun Tour 1997 WIN Started off strong this season its a lot easier with proper riders and Luis Gomez just did a great 5-stagetour grabbing 2 solo stage wins and the general classification. |
