FINALS OF THE GOLD RUSH TOURNAMENT PLUS A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT FROM VINCE MCMAHON
the Gold Rush Tournament finals were held with Shawn Michaels taking on the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin with the winner going on to face Batista next week for the World Heavyweight Championship. The two finalists went back and forth with a series of near falls before Shelton Benjamin went for a springboard move to Michaels who countered it with a huge Sweet Chin Music for the 1-2-3 victory. Michaels helped Benjamin back to his feet before giving the Intercontinental Champion respect.

Later in the night the Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance with a huge announcement, McMahon said that once again there will be a draft lottery being held next month and once again every Superstar being eligible.
Vince McMahon announced the 2005 WWE Draft that will take place throughout the summer. Every Superstar is eligible.

RAW opens up with Eric Bischoff in the ring standing in front of black wreathe that says "DEATH OF ECW". Bischoff delivers his eulogy and runs down how ECW was a upstart company that tried their best to become the biggest wrestling promotion in the world but was crushed by WCW when Bischoff was running WCW. Bischoff says hes sick and tired of seeing all these ads for ECW One Night Stand on his RAW programming and he hopes the show fails and all the ECW wrestler go back to the bingo hall that they crawled out of. Bischoff says that he will personally be in attendance and will take a group of RAW superstars with him. All of a sudden Vince McMahon comes out and tells Bischoff how he was a supporter of ECW and how he helped ECW during some difficult financial troubles. McMahon says that he is excited to see the One Night Stand pay per view and nobody, not even Bischoff is going to interfere with the show. McMahon says that Bischoff might think ECW is "dead" but he hears the fans chant E C DUB every time a former ECW superstar comes out to the ring. McMahon introduces the man who lead ECW, Paul Heyman to come to the ring. Heyman comes down to the ring and tells Bischoff how much ECW changed the business of professional wrestling. Heyman says that the fans are as passionate of ECW than ever before. Heyman talks about guys like Tommy Dreamer, the Dudley Boyz, Sandman and Sabu being exactly what ECW was. Heyman tells about how much heart a guy like Mick Foley has shown in his career. Heyman finishes by saying that if Bischoff wants another war than this war will be taken to the Extreme. Heyman before leaving lights a match and sets the wreathe on fire before leaving the ring.

the main event of RAW was Batista defending his World Heavyweight Champion against the Gold Rush winner Shawn Michaels. Before the match began Ric Flair and Triple H came down and sat on commentary. During the match the referee was accidently taking out by accident causing Ric Flair to get in the ring and start attacking both men. Flair tried to take out Batista but Shawn Michaels superkicked him in the face instead taking him out of the ring. With Shawn Michaels being distracted by Flair, Batista took advantage and hit a huge Batistabomb on Michaels for the 1-2-3 and to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. After the match Triple H joined the ring and a recovered Flair continued the attack on both men. Triple H hit Shawn Michaels with a pedigree before ordering Flair to get the World Heavyweight Championship belt. Flair brought in the championship belt and handed it to Triple H who hit Batista in the face and bloodied up the champion. Triple H took the championship belt and hit Batista with a Pedigree face first on the championship belt. Triple H got on the ring and challenged Batista to a Hell in a Cell match at Vengeance.

FIRST DRAFT LOTTERY PARTICIPANT IS HERE AND ECW STANDS TALL BEFORE ONE NIGHT STAND
RAW opens up with Eric Bischoff in his office welcoming the WWE audience to the first night of the 2005 WWE Draft Lottery. Bischoff goes over the rules and says that one person from SmackDown! will make his debut on RAW and then for the next 5 weeks it will go vice versa. Bischoff repeats what Vince McMahon announced that being that everybody in the WWE is eligible. Bischoff sends it to Chris Jericho whos' in the ring with a special addition of the Highlight Reel. Jericho says that he is so excited for the upcoming week and welcomes whoever is going to be drafted to the RAW brand. Jericho attempts to welcome the newest member of RAW before being interrupted by Christian and Tyson Tomko coming down to the ring. Christian says that whoever shows up is a poser and that's how Christian rolls. Jericho says that Christian shouldnt talk too much because they dont know whos going to be drafted. Jericho welcomes the newest member of RAW... THE WWE CHAMPION JOHN CENA!! (who has a brand new spinner WWE Championship belt) John Cena comes out to one of the loudest ovations in WWE history. Cena says that hes happy to be on the RAW brand and hes heard Christian talk and talk so if Christian "wants some, he can come get some". Christian and Tomko then attempt to attack Cena before Cena hits Christian with the FU and Jericho helps Cena taking out Tomko. Jericho and Cena stand in the middle of the ring and celebrate Cena's arrival.
 In one of the most shocking moments of RAW history, the WWE Champion John Cena is now part of the red brand. Later in the night Eric Bischoff came out to the ring flocked with RAW superstars. Bischoff says that this Sunday, ECW will finally stay dead and Bischoff will embarrass Heyman for the final time. Paul Heyman comes out and says that ECW is not about Heyman, its about the passionate wrestlers and the fans who never had a Billionaire backing them and did everything they could to compete with the billion dollar company. Heyman says Bischoff will see how strong the bond is between ECW and the fans. Bischoff says that Heyman made a huge mistake and thats coming into a RAW ring alone and Bischoff calls more wrestlers down to the ring. Heyman says that Bischoff should realize that ECW will never back down and that Heyman isnt stupid and will come to enemy territory alone. Heyman then points to the crowd and a flock of ECW superstars come down to the ring and starts to brawl with the RAW roster. the ECW roster gets the better of the RAW guys who retreat while the ECW superstars celebrate in the ring.  the ECW roster stands tall before the ECW One Night Stand pay per view. |

SECOND DRAFT LOTTERY PARTICIPANT MAKES HIS SMACKDOWN RETURN!!
After the shocking draft pick of John Cena on Monday Night RAW, it is now SmackDown! turn to make their first draft lottery pick. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long came down to the ring and talked about how now that John Cena is no longer on SmackDown!, SmackDown has no champion. Before Theodore Long can finish his statement, John Bradshaw Layfield comes down and interrupts the GM. JBL tells Theodore Long that its a simple solution and that's to make JBL the new WWE Champion. Theodore Long said that he's going to wait until after the draft lottery to see who will be champion. Theodore Long than introduces the next Draft Lottery pick and that is...CHRIS BENOIT. Chris Benoit returns to SmackDown and confronts JBL. Benoit and JBL go back and forth about the future of SmackDown and JBL tells Benoit that hes just another ECW reject that doesnt deserve to be on SmackDown! and that SmackDown! is JBL's show. Benoit challenges JBL to a match tonight and JBL denies the challenge before Theodore Long reminds JBL that SmackDown is Long's show and books the main event match between Benoit and JBL. The main event match begins but multiple interferences from the Cabinet and other SmackDown roster members cause a no contest before the ECW "crusaders" come and help Benoit. Once again just like RAW, the show ends with a huge brawl which even included Tazz coming back to the ring and putting a Tazzmission on Orlando Jordan.

SECOND RAW DRAFT LOTTERY PICK IS HERE AND ITS TRUE, ITS DAMN TRUE!!
RAW opens up with a frustrated Triple H and Ric Flair coming to the ring, Triple H says hes not going to sit and wait to here from whoever is the next Draft Lottery pick and wants them to come out now no matter who they are. All of a sudden, Kurt Angle's music hits and the Olympic Gold medalist is back on RAW. Kurt Angle says that he shouldnt focus on whos coming to RAW, he should focus on Batista and Hell in a Cell. Flair says that nobody tells Triple H what to do and both Angle and Flair go on a Wooooo off back and forth. Triple H says that once he wins the World Championship again he'll never give Angle a title shot. Angle says he's ben watching Batista and hes impressed and that Batista is a real worlds champion. Triple H says Batista is nothing but Triple H's lackey and Batista learned everything he knows from Evolution. Batista then comes out and confronts Evolution and Angle. Batista challenged both Flair and Triple H to a tag team match tonight with Kurt Angle as his partner and Evolution agrees. During the main event match, Angle hits Ric Flair with a huge Angle Slam for the 1-2-3 and defeats Evolution. As Kurt Angle is celebrating his first night back on RAW, Shawn Michaels comes through the crowd and gives Angle a Sweet Chin Music before challenging Angle to a WrestleMania rematch at Vengeance.
Kurt Angle is the second RAW lottery pick and confronts Triple H.

Apparently the AC in the building was out so they sent the four of 'em out there in these heavy-ass suits to spit promos for like...ten minutes?
Yeah suffice to say it was hot as hell in that ring under those spotlight in those suits.

THE NEXT DRAFT LOTTERY PICK SHOWS UP DURING MAIN EVENT
SmackDown! opens up with John Bradshaw Layfield in the ring talking about how he took care of those ECW rejects (even though he was beaten up by the majority of the ECW roster). JBL talks about how he is the only star on SmackDown! and now he can look into the future of being the WWE Champion again. JBL is then interrupted by the Undertaker who slowly comes down to the ring to confront JBL. the Undertaker says that JBL's time as WWE Champion is dead and if JBL tries to get in the way of the Undertaker, he will Rest In Peace. JBL shouts that he is SmackDown! and that the Undertaker needs to go back to whatever grave he crawled out of. the Undertaker then put his hand on JBL's neck before the rest of the Cabinet come down and help their leader JBL. the Undertaker gets the best of the Basham's and Orlando Jordan before JBL retreats to the top of the ramp. SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long comes out and announces that JBL will take on the Undertaker tonight in a No Disqualification match. The main event match begins and Chris Benoit comes out to help the Undertaker by brawling with Orlando Jordan to the backstage area. The match ends with the Undertaker picking JBL up for the Tombstone Piledriver when all of a sudden Randy Orton comes through the crowd and RKO's the Undertaker allowing JBL to make the pinfall and win the match. Randy Orton then took the microphone and told the Undertaker that the Legend Killer is officially on SmackDown and is the next Draft Lottery pick winner.
