I have an AEW day one save and i am at early 2024 now. I'm trying to think about where to go next with my main storylines and what to do with some workers.
- the world title scene has Darby Allin as the newly crowned champ, with his longtime rival MJF re-signig with the company in kayfabe out of spite and wanting revenge, while Hangman Page just beat Kenny Omega in their final match as well as Bryan Danielson to become the new best in the world and he will win the world title somewhere during the year. All i wanna know is how and when Hangman and Darby will face, and how would MJF be involved in this.
-Ricky Starks is rising in prominence with his reign as TNT champ and rising in importance in Team Taz, becoming secodn to only Hangman (in my save, i never formed the Dark Order. Instead, Hangman goes to Team Taz and they become the main babyface faction of AEW and rivals of the Elite.). How can i, like, make a rivalry between Hangman and Starks without it leading to animosity or a Team Taz split or anything? Cause i wanna avoid wrestling cliches as much as possible.
-Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson have their stories pretty much done. I know that they occasioanlly face each other because of their history, but now, Mox had his reign as champion and doesn't really need the belt anymore. Same with Danielson. What do i do with those two? Cause Danielson is no longer the best in the world, while Mox has no reason to be involved with the world title scene, maybe except wanting to avenge his loss to Darby in the 2023 tournament of champions final or wanting payback agaisnt MJF or something?
-what do i do with the Elite? Kenny lost to Hangman, and the Bucks can only be perennial tag title challengers for so long, and they already have a Trios Titles reign...Kenny still needs his rematch with Danielson, though, what with their only match being a time limit draw when Kenny was champ. Plus, Kenny vs MJF has never happened before. Not even in the Tournament of Champions. Kenny vs Darby did happen, with Kenny winning that match, so maybe a rematch?
-Tag Titles: with Jurrassic Express as the new champs after beating the Acclaimed, what do i do now? Do i turn the Acclaimed Heel and have them wantign revenge against the Jurassic Express after their big babyface vs babyface tag titles match? Or do i have another team go after the belts, like Santana and Ortiz or Top Flight? Or should i have FTR or Lucha Bros come back to the fold? Or hell, i could have Santana and Ortiz win the tag belts, then have Hook and Hobbs face them to continue the Team Taz/Proud and Powerful rivalry (that started when Team Hangman, Hook and Hobbs beat PNP for the Trios belts) along with Eddie Kingston vs Ricky Starks for the TNT Belt?
-Women's Title: i actually have a direction, with Jamie Hayter being booked as the ace of the women's division. I dunno who should beat her in either Toni Storm or women's tag champ Kris Statlander, though. Maybe Statlander, considering her and Hayter have been there since the beginning? That could be a good story.
-Cody has nothing to do now, too. He lost to Darby for the second time at tournament of champions 2023 and now is just stuck in limbo. I gave him holidays, but i don't even know what to do with him now. Should i just let him go?
In fact, plenty of people has got nothing to do. Sammy, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia...PAC, too, has got nothing to do...he's bene pretty much exclusive to the Trios division along with the rest of Death Triangle... Sammy, Yuta and Garcia are aroudn to be challengers for Starks's TNT belt along with Mike Bailey, but yeah...
