The AWA have a small amount of popularity in the Midwest. Which seems odd considering how popular they were at one point. It is WOTI mod and there are like 20 US companies alone. Maybe I'll edit the popularity some...Idk I would like to take the company around the nation. I have not done that much. If I find good talent that fits in and are not 100% Heel or Amazing Heel, I'll probably sign them for babyfaces. I would love to keep the AWA aesthetic and not make it into Attitude Wrestling Association. Workers like the Malenkos, Benoit, Kurt Angle and Craig Pittman would be perfect fit for the AWA. And maybe also some of the UWFi gaijins. The Koslowski brothers if they're in the mod. It would also make sense to loan talent from Catch Wrestling Association, All Japan and New Japan since AWA had good relationships with those promotions. |

Awesome advice! Last night I was still piecing my roster together before my first show. I'm at my first show now. I have two of my all-time favorites signed, Kerry Von Erich and Bruiser Brody. I can't hire on Benoit and Angle yet. My company is too small for them right now. I have wanted to create an alliance to have trade relations with All Japan and New Japan. I still need to send an offer to The Road Warriors. The WCW/nWo promotion in this mod are a real competitor for signing talent.

I was wondering if anyone has done more of a sports entertainment based promotion, but not WWF/E related. I was thinking a few matches a show but more storyline and angle heavy.
How large of a roster would you need? Do you want a roster of more Entertainer style wrestlers? I would think you would, and would want high Acting, Charisma and Mic skills to name a few.
I do not know if it is stated what regions prefer what styles of product.
I think in the WOTI mod the NWA is NWA-Hollywood or at least that's the name of their show. So maybe NWA-Hollywood could be good but give the roster a makeover?
I'm not sure. I just think of this when I am at work, bored, and not at home in front of the game itself.

The Northwest have had their share of Japanese workers and luchas. That's a really good idea! I can't recall if I have that in place or not. Last night I started a NWA save in WOTI in TEW 2020. I tried creating the NWA alliance. I got quite a few companies to join like AWA and AJPW. Hopefully I can do Misawa vs. Flair at some point. I was trying to figure out the title situation in the NWA alliance. My NWA promotion is already using the NWA World Championship, so I was thinking of creating another for the members of the alliance to compete for. I think there is an NWA Global Championship? I could be wrong on that. I have an awesome shortlist of Road Agents with high Psychology I can sign. Impact and TNA both exist separate of each other in the mod. I was thinking of asking Impact to join the NWA but I'm not sure. Most of the NWA-style of has been contracted. I almost added WWWF but I'm not crazy about their talent pool. The best babyface that has the skills for the NWA is Davey Boy Smith but the NWA is too small for him atm. Anyways, I've said enough. |
