Didn't watch, but I listened to Cornette's review (like I do with current stuff)
Nash saying "it was bad, but my check was still the same" was atrocious. No wonder they failed

My biggest memory around the time of WCW's downward spiral, was them touring Australia and then being surprised at how hot the WCW product still was down here and how they didn't have to change anything.
There was even a mostly joking suggestion that they move WCW to Australia permanently, to keep having hot crowds like back in the 'glory days' of WCW's American peak.
Granted it was in part that no major shows had been held in Australia since about 1978 and wouldn't be again until the the WWE's Global Warming tour 2 years later but it was defintely some great crowds regardless and it was the same stuff that American fans were starting to reject.
