You know I just realized something, of Bret Hart were to create his own promotion post wcw why tna? The name was Vince Russo's idea based on t&a to emphasize a more mature product similar to the attitude era. Wouldn't it make more sense for Bret to revive the old stampede wrestling name?

I admit that at the base I just wanted to take a former WCW wrestler with whom the story had ended badly. Bret Hart was a relevant name and I was not inspired for the name of the company. But your remarks are right, if I wanted to do something closer to reality I would have chosen Stampede instead.
