An idea I've thought about toying around with was a slight twist on #2. What if the Montreal Screwjob was a work and Bret Hart stayed with WWF? That opens the door to many possibilities. Welcome to the forum!

this is WWE and WCW's biggest 'If'. In Japanese pro wrestling, they have completely different 25 'if'.
Like 'What if Rikidozan didn't die due to stabbing incident?'
Btw, I like your 25 'If'. But I would alter No. 23 with 'What if WWE successfully built CM Punk as the next Stonecold Austin rather than keep leaning on Cena?"
It would be more interesting question for me.
Anyway, thank you for awesome post, Boss!

Would be a interesting alternative history scenario to fantasy book. I have actually done that once. My first major diary in fact. I'm more interested in the alternate idea though, of what if Vince McMahon has finally gotten fed up with Shawn Michaels and the screwjob turns into a double screwjob, Bret retains and Vince fires HBK? Bret was old school and didn't much care for the way the attitude was coming into WWF wrestling but with Austin at the forefront Hart vs Austin feuding can dominate '98 and they loved working together. Triple H is smart enough to know that he'll get lost in the WCW shuffle even with the backing he'd have there, I could see him staying and Bret could then also feud with Trips, Taker and some others I'm sure and then retire in the early 00's.

Also how long in jail are we talking for Vince?
Word is that he at least had basic outlines, for major feuds and storylines for maybe a year stored up. If he went to jail of course.
Of course it's doubtful he had plans for everyone and everything and even what he did have would eventually run out but unless he went to jail for a decent while, it could take time for the WWF product to feel much less Vince-ish.

Worst case scenario Vince was facing 11 years in jail and $1,000,000 in fines. He likely wouldn't have served the entire 11 years but I think at least 5 is likely.

Seems like fun, I'll do mine in random order and a few are outside the timeline. 25. What if Steve Austin stays "Stunning" and doesn't leave WCW 24. What if Bruiser Brody doesn't get stabbed to death 23. What if Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson gets their raises and don't give notice and stays in the NWA 22. What if Dusty Rhodes doesn't get fired in 1988 21. What if Bruno Sammartino doesn't become WWWF champion in 1963 20. What if Hulk Hogan sells for Ric Flair and Vader when he comes to WCW 19. What if David Von Erich didn't OD in Japan 18. What if Antonio Inoki didn't start NJPW in 1972 17. What if Giant Baba didn't start AJPW in 1972 16. What if Motoko Baba didn't have disagreements with Misawa when he was AJPW President in 2000 15. What if Misawa had lived 14. What if Ric Flair carry Sting in that first Clash of Champions 13. What if Hulk Hogan stays with the AWA 12. What if Superstar Billy Graham didn't lose the title to Bob Backlund in 1978 11. What if Kurt Angle went to ECW 10. What if Tommy Rich kept the NWA Title for more then 5 days 9. What if Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts get fired from WWF in 1984 8. What if Barry Windham didn't jump ship to the WWF in 1984 7. What if Magnum T.A. didn't crash his Porsche 6. What if Nikita Koloff didn't stay in the NWA in 1985 5. What if Vince McMahon didn't go national in 1984 4. What if Bill Watts didn't have to sell the UWF in 1986 3. What if Ted Turner bought the NWA in and decided to go National 2. What if the series of house shows drew better in the WWF for Hulk Hogan & Ric Flair in late 1991 1. What if Black Saturday never happened

What if Santino Marella really was 'the greatest Intercontinental champion of all the times'?
