The Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore. It focuses on Rick Grimes, a Kentucky deputy who is shot in the line of duty and awakens from a coma in a zombie apocalypse that has resulted in a state-wide quarantine. After joining with some other survivors, he gradually takes on the role of leader of a community as it struggles to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Crossed is a comic book written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Jacen Burrows for the first ten issues, and published by Avatar Press. Following volumes Crossed: Family Values, Crossed 3D, and Crossed: Psychopath were written by David Lapham. A new series, Crossed: Badlands is written and drawn by rotating creative teams. The franchise has also spawned two webcomics: Crossed: Wish You Were Here, which ran from 2012–2014, and Crossed: Dead or Alive, which began syndication in November 2014.

So how about that New Heroes & Children of the Atom trashfire? Pretty funny to see people think they are being smart & creating something "new" when one is just a re-gendering & the other is a literal meme.

I've always wanted to get into comics and comic books in general.
For a fan of Batman, Wolverine, and Deadpool. Are there any comics anyone would recommend as a good starting point to check out?

Late reply here, but for Batman you can't go wrong with the Batman: The Killing Joke. For Wolverine I personally really liked Wolverine: The Long Night Adaptation.

I started with Detective Comics #1 in my Batman timeline. I know Batman hasn’t been introduced yet, but it just feels pointless to start at his introduction when I can just read the first 26 issues rather quickly anyway.

I've always liked The Punisher. I second this. He was the first non-superhero that caught my attention as a kid and everything an anti-hero should be. The Garth Ennis run is a must-read for any comic book fan.
