THE RECOGNIZED SYMBOL OF EXCELLENCE IN SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT!
The Year is 1985, wrestling is changing, whether the fans and whether the territories like it or not. Whilst the NWA and the territories were not quite out of business. The rapid expansion of Vince McMahon and the WWF was well and truly underway. The NWA had lost their grasp as the dominant wrestling entity in America. Huge talent acquisitions from the territories had made competing far more difficult and with Vince McMahon taking prominent talent to make his headline stars and Jim Crockett Promotions nabbing what talent they could have to be the prominent company within the NWA umbrella, the smaller, regional promotions while still alive, are not thriving the way they used to just a few years ago and some may find themselves in dire straits depending how events unfold. The future of professional wrestling all hinges on an upcoming event. A mega event hosted by the WWF. A huge risk on the part of Vince McMahon to cement his position in the wrestling landscape and to thrust the WWF into mainstream recognition. They're calling it "Wrestlemania" and Vince McMahon is going to throw everything he has into making it a success. The coming months will see the build up to The WWF's first big venture into what would later go on to become Pay-Per View events. Will this diary see the re-enactment of wrestling history as we know it? Will The Rock N' Wrestling Connection be as successful as it was in real life? Will Wrestlemania play out the same way? Or will a different history be built on the back of this pivotal moment in wrestling history? With just a couple months to build up to the big event. It'll all come to pass, one way or another...
