Aubrey Edwards Doesn't Know How Big AEW Games Can Be, Excited For Elite GM
Aubrey Edwards may be the co-host of AEW Unrestricted, but that isn’t stopping Tony Schiavone from putting AEW’s lady ref in the hot seat! The tables are turned as Tony asks Aubrey about her days reffing on the indie wrestling scene, the tryout and work she did for NXT, and how she made the jump from a career in video games to pro-wrestling! Plus, Aubrey talks about her days as a ballet dancer, and the Daniel Bryan crying girl meme that went viral after the WWE Superstar retired.
AEW Games made some big announcements on November 10 when they revealed a console game and two mobile games will be released in the future.
"Right now, it's an open-ended thing. We've only recently started talking about the fact that we're making not only just one game, the game that everyone wanted, which is a No Mercy style console game. We're also working on multiple other projects. Knowing everything we know about AEW and how we don't settle for less and we want to do everything bigger, we're trying to capitalize on that with AEW Games. That's the most exciting thing is we don't know how big this is going to get and I'm excited to be working on it from the very beginning"
"I am excited about AEW Elite GM because that's the game I'm working on. The console game is kinda Kenny's project and Elite GM is my baby. It's literally the thing I think about and see every day."
It is unknown when AEW Elite GM will be released on mobile platforms. The description for the game reads as followed:
Developed by Crystallized Games, AEW Elite GM is the evolution of the wrestling booking simulator genre, taking the strategic elements of simulation and fantasy games to create a competitive and engaging space for the wrestling community to take part in. By incorporating the expanding AEW brand, AEW Elite General Manager serves as a celebration of wrestling as a whole. Fans of wrestling games take on the role of General Manager, who is responsible for managing a roster of AEW wrestlers, booking matches, and running the show in order to generate revenue, new fans and effects on wrestlers’ stamina and morale.
