Quarter Final 1
Mark Fleming vs. Super Vader Lou Thesz protege "The Natural" Mark Fleming (14-5) will go head to head with the WCW World Heavyweight champion Super Vader (1-0) in the first Quarter Final.
Quarter Final 2
Masakatsu Funaki vs. Vladimir Berkovich In the second Quarter Final we have Shoot-style Ace Masakatsu Funaki (5-0) versus Vladimir Berkovich (4-1) (6ft 2 and 300+ pounds). The Soviet is an accomplished Greco-Roman wrestler, though he was also a 5 time European freestyle champion at the collegiate level.

Gary Albright vs. Ken Shamrock"The Suplex Machine" Gary Albright (18-8) will take on shootfighter Ken Shamrock (5-0). Last year Albright made it into the semi finals, but ended up losing to Nobuhiko Takada.
Quarter Final 4
Nobuhiko Takada vs. Minoru SuzukiIn the last Quarter Final UWFi ace Nobuhiko Takada (27-3) will face shoot-style Ace Minoru Suzuki (5-0). 2x UWFi champion Takada won last years Best of the World tournament.

He is also a four-time World Cup silver medalist and have won seven USA Wrestling Greco-Roman national titles. His opponent Steve Day is a 10 time regional champion in freestyle and Greco-Roman and was selected for the 1980 Olympic team before they boycotted. He also has trained Judo and Sambo.

Masakatsu Funaki vs. Vladimir Berkovich Masakatsu Funaki outmaneuvered his big opponent and won by Submission with a Rolling Arm Lock.
