In December 1992, Masakatsu Funaki, Minoru Suzuki, Ken Shamrock, Yusuke Fuke, and others from the shoot-style Fujiwara Gumi wrestling promotion left the company, due to Yoshiaki Fujiwara's decision to cooperate with Universal Lucha Libre and W*ING and favoring showmanship over in-ring work instead of shoot-style wrestling.
Minoru Suzuki, Masakatsu Funaki, Ken Shamrock and Yusuke Fuke signs contracts with UWFi.

I've read this and was about to comment how no one could seem to stop Nobuhiko Takada but... oh well, last show proved otherwise. That roster shows you have a huge knowledge of shoot-influenced pro wrestling and that's amazing.
Excited to see Minoru Suzuki, Masakatsu Funaki, Salman Hashimikov and specially Ken Shamrock. Will they prosper or will they flop? In a world where you can't control the outcome like FPWW, that's hard to predict.
There's hype for the first show of 1993 at, probably, my favourite japanese arena. The two pre-main events are huge!

A bad day for the original gang, but great debuts for Suzuki, Hashimikov, Zangiev and Shamrock. I wonder who's challenging Koslowski next. Takada getting a rematch?

A bad day for the original gang, but great debuts for Suzuki, Hashimikov, Zangiev and Shamrock. I wonder who's challenging Koslowski next. Takada getting a rematch? I hope to build a Koslowski vs. Takada match series like the previous Backlund vs. Takada, but first I need to get Koslowski some credible challengers. So that he have a few title defences before facing Takada again.
