Main Event - Harley Race vs Andre the Giant [97]
Both men competing facing huge stakes - should Harley Race win, he ends Andre the Giant's undefeated streak and becomes the new Number One Contender for the WWWF Title. Should he lose, he would be forced to leave the company. Harley Race doesn't shy away as he immediately stands toe-to-toe with Andre the Giant, despite Race standing at 6'1" and Andre at 7'4" - a huge size difference but Harley Race isn't backing down. Infact, Harley Race calls on for a traditional collar and elbow lock up, which Andre the Giant engages in. With no suprise, Andre wins the first lock-up, launching Race back to the other side of the ring. Despite this, Race goes for it again, but this time managing to slip around the back and begin chopping the ''Eighth Wonder of the World'' to size.

With Andre the Giant on his knees, Harley Race begins the headbutts to the face leaving the giant groggy. A running knee sends Andre down to the ground as Race begins to ground and pound his larger opponent. Harley Race hits a knee strike from the top rope and goes for the pinfall - One...Two...Kick Out! Despite the kick out, Harley Race remains well in charge of this match. With this momentum, Harley Race attempts a German Suplex but Andre the Giant is too big to be lifted up like that. Andre pulls Race round and pushes him towards the turnbuckle, delivering a series of chops to the chest followed by a Biel Throw.

With Andre the Giant finally getting some seperation to recover, Harley Race is nursing the damage to his mid-section following the monstrous Biel Throw he had just recieved. Despite the damage, Harley Race manouvers his way out of Andre's attempted spear which sends the 7'4'' behemoth in to the turnbuckle. Race once again attempts a German Suplex, this time lifting Andre off his feet but the giant can just grab on to the rope to save himself.

Despite the odds being stack against him, Harley Race is in full control but lacking a final manouver to put Andre the Giant away. Race delivers some strikes to Andre in the corner before perching him on the top rope. Race climbs the turnbuckle to join Andre and attempt a ginormous superplex, however, Race lacks the strength to lift all 520lbs of Andre over his head. Countering this, Andre the Giant reversed Harley Race's attempts at a superplex with a front suplex sending Race crashing from way up high. Andre manages to regain focus and then leap on to the lifeless body of Harley Race, sending all of his weight down on to a man one and a half feet lesser in size. If Harley Race wasn't out of it before, he must be now as Andre the Giant goes for the pinfall - One...Two...Three! And that's it, after 17:18, Andre the Giant gets the win despite the astonishing performance from Harley Race.

Harley Race may not have won the match tonight, but against a man who is 7'4'' and 520lbs, he can certainly call himself ''Mr. Pro Wrestling''. Whilst Andre the Giant's undefeated streak is still intact, Harley Race's WWWF Career is not.
