Twelve championships now! That's quite a lot. It is, for sure, but I feel like the size of my roster at the moment can sustain it for the time being. Plus, don't worry.....I do have a road map of sorts towards unification, so that will happen at some point in the future. Should also add that these titles were new ones that I created in the game, and since technically the names like "ECW Title" (and so on) already existed, I couldn't use them. Though that was a simple workaround, as I just listed then as ECW World Heavyweight, ECW World Tag Team, and ECW World TV.

I just wanted to pop in quickly and say that I haven't forgotten about this thread!! I still very much intend to continue this (as well as the other companion thread). With the holiday season in full swing, it's been very hard to find the time to sit down and do one of these posts (especially because mine are pretty lengthy). I won't make any promises, but I'm hopeful that I can make my next proper post sometime this weekend.

I like the pull back the curtain approach you take to write these up. It's different but it works well as an explainer.
The Radicalz are gonna be a focal point here for quite a while I feel, but what is it gonna take to take them down?
There are quite a bit of titles, I'm wondering if they'll get combined soon?

Part XXVIII: WCW Spring Stampede 2000
I'm finally back!! This one took awhile to get around to, but I finally found the time to sit down and work on it. There are a number of different things to go over after the events of Uncensored 2000.
The main story at the moment is the battle between the Paul Heyman-led Radicalz and WCW, though you also had a few major events in the prior month, in the form of Owen Hart jumping to WCW, Mick Foley turning heel and joining The Radicalz, as well as the introduction of the championships from ECW. Spring Stampede 2000 would feature the continuation of a number of programs from the previous month. While Bret Hart and Owen Hart would capture the ECW World Tag Team Titles from Chris Jericho and Lance Storm at Uncensored in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match that also involved Edge and Christian, the battling between these sides would continue. Even though The Hart Family, Edge, and Christian were all part of Team Canada and on the babyface side of things at this rate, there would still be a little bit of tension between them, a lot of egged on by Jericho and Storm as they try to drive a wedge between them. That would sort of go out the window after Jericho and Storm interfered in the first-time ever Hart Family vs. Edge & Christian match (leading to a No Contest) on the April 10th, 2000 Nitro. This would lead to the ECW World Tag Team Titles being put in a match where they would be literally up for grabs. Part of the reason why I put this match together is just because I figured, "hey, these three teams would probably have a great Ladder Match", and well....as you'll find out later....I would end up being right.
Both of the World Titles would be on the line as well. First, for the second year in a row, Goldberg would defend the WCW World Heavyweight Title in a Triple Threat Match at Spring Stampede....and for the second year in a row, one of those two opponents would be Chris Benoit (who, since turning heel, as reintroduced Woman, who would make sporadic appearances in his corner from this point forward....mainly in bigger matches). The only difference this time is that we're getting Ric Flair instead of Chris Jericho, as Flair is still going after Benoit after he turned on him and The Four Horsemen to join The Radicalz in January. Meanwhile, one of the longest running feuds in the year 2000 thus far would continue on this card, as Taz would defend the ECW World Title against Mike Awesome in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. They've continued their program after their involvement in the main event of Uncensored, with the most notable moment taking place on the March 27th Nitro. On that note, Taz successfully defended his title in a Triple Threat Match against Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka, in a little nod to the ECW World Title bout from Anarchy Rulz 1999 in OTL (though Taz gets the win in this version of it, and it's also not an elimination match). There's a lot of bad blood between Awesome and Taz, and it's going to explode when falls can happen anywhere in the United Center.
Another heel stable that's been causing a lot of trouble has been The Magnificent Eight. Scott Steiner, the group's leader, captured the NWA World Heavyweight Title from Booker T back at Uncensored, but since he's continued to have issues with Booker T, as well as Sting, who Steiner beat back at SuperBrawl X to earn the title shot in the first place. Scott quickly got his brother Rick Steiner to back him up, and a tag team match would be set up between the two sides for this PPV. Meanwhile, the issues between Buff Bagwell and Diamond Dallas Page continued into the month of April, though it's become much more personal, with Bagwell dragging Kimberly Page into things. The fact that the feud began to escalate meant that a stipulation would be necessary for their next bout, and that would up being a First Blood Match.
Looking further down the card, a number of other titles would be up for grabs as well. Kurt Angle would look to get his first taste of WCW gold, as he would challenge Rob Van Dam for the WCW World TV Title. Noting much to say about that one, other than Angle is targeting Van Dam because he's got a title that he wants (simple, but effective). The WCW World Tag Team Titles would be on the line in a Four-Way Tag Team Elimination Match, though there were notable developments regarding the titles themselves in the last month. Of course, Raven and Perry Saturn won the titles from The Hardy Boyz at Uncensored. However, their title reign wouldn't last very long, as The Dudley Boyz would capture the titles on the very first time on the April 1st edition of Saturday Night (not an April Fool's joke if you're The Radicalz). A big key in this sudden title win came thanks to a new asset in the corner of The Dudley Boyz in the form of a new valet who made her WCW debut.....The Duchess of Dudleyville, who is (of course) Stacy Keibler! She made her debut on the March 23rd Thunder, and they won the titles shortly thereafter. Along with KroniK (who still have lingering issues with The Dudley Boyz), the two other teams involved in this four-way elimination bout would be The Outsiders and The Perfect Event. The issues between The Outsiders and the rest of The Natural Born Thrillers would continue following the six-man tag at Uncensored, as these young guns would try to go after two of the top dogs in WCW.
The final title bout on this card would be a Hardcore Battle Royal for the WCW Hardcore Title. Now obviously in the game, you can only do a normal battle royal in Extreme Warfare Revenge, but I have a particular way that I would envision this match working (and this could extend to the original Battle Royal that decided the inaugural WCW Hardcore Champion in 1998). So everyone would start in the ring at one, like a normal Battle Royal, but each participant would be allowed to bring one weapon of choice with them to the ring. From there, a wrestler can be eliminated by either getting tossed over the top rope to the floor, or by getting put through a table (this could either be in the ring or on the floor, as of course, a match like this would see wrestlers go through the middle or bottom rope to brawl on the floor). The big news in this match is that we have none other than Terry Funk making his return to WCW. He left WWF in late February/early March, and confronted Mick Foley on the April 10th Nitro, and now he's taking part in his first official match.
Speaking of that April 10th, 2000 Nitro, I thought I'd share the card from this show, just so it can serve as a contrast to the infamous Eric Bischoff & Vince Russo reboot Nitro from OTL.
The only other match from the PPV that I haven't mentioned yet was a Six-Man Tag with The Radicalz trio of Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, and Perry Saturn taking on The Hardy Boyz and Amy Dumas, in a match that's straight from WWF Armageddon 2000 in OTL.
In terms of title changes, aside from the WCW World Tag Team Title change I mentioned earlier, there were a few other titles that changed hands. Booker T won the WCW United States Title from Taz on the April 10th Nitro (with help from Mike Awesome), while Radicalz member Yoshihiro Tajiri regained the WCW Cruiserweight Title from Rey Mysterio Jr. on the April 3rd Nitro. The Mamalukes of Big Vito and Johnny The Bull won the NWA World Tag Team Titles from The Dudley Boyz on the April 6th edition of Thunder (yes, they held two sets of tag team titles for a few days) thanks to some interference from KroniK. Sabu also won the WCW Hardcore Title from Bam Bam Bigelow on the March 30th Thunder, so he was the champion going into the Hardcore Battle Royal. The final title change to make note of is that Tommy Dreamer won the ECW World TV Title from The Sandman on the aforementioned April 6th Thunder.
With all of that out of the way, let's dive right into the PPV!!

For Spring Stampede 2000, I got an overall score of 90%, which equals the score I got for the previous PPV, Uncensored 2000. The runaway winner for Match Of The Night (and this really shouldn't come as a surprise) was the main event, which scored a whopping 99%, and earned a ***** rating from the in-game reviewer. Putting the ECW World Tag Team Titles in the main event slot would seem odd, but I pretty much had to put it there, because it would've killed whatever match followed it. While that was the only bout that cleared the 90% barrier, SEVEN of the remaining eight matches were at 85% or higher, which is absolutely insane. Rob Van Dam vs. Kurt Angle for the WCW World TV Title and the Triple Threat for the WCW World Heavyweight Title both scored 89%, while Taz vs. Mike Awesome in a Falls Count Anywhere Match for the ECW World Title earned an 88% score. The Radicalz vs. Team Xtreme and the Four-Way Tag Team Elimination Match for the WCW World Tag Team Titles both would up with a 87% score, and Buff Bagwell vs. Diamond Dallas Page in a First Blood Match did very well at 86%. Booker T & Sting vs. The Steiner Brothers earned a 85% score and, as I'm sure you would've guessed, the Hardcore Battle Royal for the WCW Hardcore Title finished with a 71% score.
As a whole, I thought this PPV really delivered. Obviously the Ladder Match knocked it out of the park, but the rest of the card really nailed it as well. I really like where I'm at with WCW at the moment, in terms of in-ring quality. It's wild to look at this PPV card and compare the roster to where everything was in the game in 1998. I can put out five star matches on TV without even really trying (the aforementioned Hart Family vs. Edge and Christian match from Nitro, as well as Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge and Matt Hardy on a recent episode of Thunder). There's also even more talent coming down the pike. For instance, during the point in my game, I officially introduced a new wrestler to the WCW main roster. Someone who's....hot, spicy, and tastes great (I'm sure you know who I'm talking about). So a lot of interesting happenings going on as we get deeper into 2000.
That's all for Spring Stampede 2000!! Tune in next time for Slamboree 2000!!

Great show. No way you could go wrong with that main event.
Would've liked to see the Radicalz have more success in the big title matches to really establish themselves as a formidable heel group, but it seems you got solid champions all the way around.

ECW Tag Team Title main eventing a WCW PPV. That....is something. The power and influence of Paul Heyman knows no bounds.
In all seriousness though, like I said earlier, I kinda had to put it in that spot, because I knew it was going to perform extremely well and kill whatever came after it. I would've certainly preferred to put the WCW World Title match on last, but you always need to be weary of your match structure on a card. That's probably one of the most difficult aspects of the game, at points. Ordering stuff in the right way so that other matches don't suffer.

Perhaps some of those guys should be challenging for the World Title then.
