I wasn't aware there was a beer topic in BeTheBooker. Insane.
I'm Portuguese and I can say our beers aren't really bad. Super Bock and Sagres are the main ones, the first being the best, imo. We also have some great crafts like Musa and Libata (the honey Libata is probably my favorite beer and it goes ridiculously well with a Francesinha [look it up, best thing in the world]).
Besides the most popular brands that are spread worldwide and found with ease, throughout my trips I've tasted some cool foreign beers: Soproni in Hungary (better than Dreher, imo), Peroni, Moratti and Ichnusa (my favorite of the three) in Italy, Delirium and Maes in Belgium, Cisk and Skol (a pretty good one) in Malta.
Jealous of that mancave fridge, Asaemon!

Haven't tried any Portuguese beer yet, but I did drink the Maltese beers when visiting Malta. I'm mostly into Czech and German beer. Soproni is Czech from what I know as is Budweiser (or was before being picked up by the US). Haven't tried Gambrinus yet. As for German beers, I ocasionally have some pints of Erdinger and Franziskaner in a cool little artesanal beer bar on the weekends. Franziskaner is one of my favorite beers too.
