2.) Triple H (with Chyna) def. Shane Douglas (with Francine)
3.) WWF Intercontinental Title - Triple Threat Match - Ken Shamrock (c) def. Owen Hart & Steve Blackman

5.) FTW Title - Anything Goes Match - Taz def. Bam Bam Bigelow
6.) WWF World Tag Team Titles - The Corporation (Psycho Sid & Shawn Michaels) (c) def. The New Aged Outlaws
7.) WWF Title - Mankind def. The Rock (with Vince McMahon & Shane McMahon) (c) via technical submission - No Title Change.
8.) Buried Alive Match - Winner Enters 1999 Royal Rumble Match - Steve Austin def. The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer)
So it's the final PPV of 1998 for WWF, and much like the other PPVs from this year, there's a solid mix of stuff that remains the same from OTL, and stuff that's changed. In the case of Rock Bottom, the top of the card remains pretty much the same. Steve Austin still defeats The Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match, while Mankind defeats The Rock, but doesn't capture the WWF Title due to some technicalities that were announced following the match by Vince McMahon. This card also keeps a multi-person tag involving The J.O.B. Squad (though against a different team) and the opening tag with D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry against The Godfather and Val Venis.
From there, the rest of the card is different. The first thing I'll note is that Sunday Night Heat is a pretty loaded up show in it's own right, with two title bouts headlining with X-Pac defending the European Title against Chris Candido and Justin Credible defending the WWF Light Heavyweight against the Mexican import Super Crazy. You've also got Jeff Jarrett taking on Christopher Daniels, who's just recently signed a one year deal with WWF to be part of their Light Heavyweight division (more on him in later posts). In terms of the main card, we've got The Corporation successfully defending the WWF World Tag Team Titles against The New Aged Outlaws and Ken Shamrock defending the WWF Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat against Owen Hart and Steve Blackman. Meanwhile, Taz has introduced his FTW Title in the WWF, and successfully defended it for the first time here against Bam Bam Bigelow. Also on the card is Triple H getting a victory over The Corporation's Shane Douglas.
Not much else to note besides that. The Sandman did win the WWF Hardcore Title from Bam Bam Bigelow on the December 9th SmackDown. This would be the last WWF PPV for both Bam Bam Bigelow and Jacqueline, who would jump to WCW for 1999. Speaking of 1999, the next show will be the 1999 edition of the Royal Rumble.
