Lap 1: Drama as Daan can't get his car going. Keikel is Audi's only hope. Lap 6: It gets crazier! Vicci misjudges his turn and jams the steering, he can't continue! Down to just Keikel and Morell, battling for the constructor's championship! Lap 7: Gustafson wrecks again. A great driver in a bad car. Lap 9: Another M. Hancock wreck. Lap 13: Masters breaks a strut on his rear spoiler and is done for the day. Lap 19: Duquese wrecks shortly before the finish. The crowd sits in stunned silence. Nobody expected this, but GM finishing 1-2 and Vienna getting 4 points, with Audi not claiming any, means the unthinkable has happened. Not only has Audi not won the constructor's championship, they've actually gotten 3rd place. GM comes from nowhere to win the 1962 season! Keikel can at least content himself with the Driver's Championship.

1962 Season Review GM pulled off an incredible 1-2 finish to steal the Constructors' Championship, plummeting Audi to 3rd. A frustrated Audi vowed that 1963 would lead to victory for them. Next F1 season will feature 16 cars, with 6 teams fielding a dozen of those, with 4 independents. I will list the teams below. Shocking to see Audi not win the Constructors' Championship. Their B pilot wasn't up to the task, really. 1963 starts in Portugal! Lovely!

Audi has to be the favorite, especially after picking up Morell who did so well last year in a bad car.

Lap 1: What a way to start the season, as Daan, Kujiro, and Fehrvar all crash immediately. Lap 3: Da Silva wrecks quickly on his home course, bumping into Morell on the way. Lap 4: Morell's car cannot continue. He had to have wanted more from his Audi debut. Lap 10: Well, Jack Collins is not enjoying his start to life in Europe. He puts his head in his hands as his car sits uselessly. Lap 17: Vicci is upset, not having finished either of his last 2 races. Ironically, his B driver is winning. Lap 20: Upsetting for Gustafson, as an aggressive move from Keikel causes him to wreck on the final lap. Keikel gives a half-apology at the post-race conference. The defending Driver's Champion and Team Champions start the season in the lead, respectively.

Lap 2: Duquese wrecks out. Not a good start for supposed home territory. Lap 5: Savic gets in a very bad wreck and sustains some arm damage. He cannot race next week. It could have been a lot worse. Lap 8: Stokely and Morell smash into each other and neither can continue. Harsh words are exchanged. Lap 10: A reckless move by Keikel makes Gustafson crash AGAIN. The Swede is later spotted screaming at Audi pit crew members. Lap 11: Keikel's move cost him too, though, as a wing snaps free and he cannot continue. Bad day for Audi. Lap 15: Collins makes it 2 wrecks for 2 races in America. Mustang leadership is upset. A great day for Hungarians and independents, a bad day for a lot of other people. Most new signings are really disappointing, except Bart freaking Hancock somehow. Savic's spot will be taken next week by a different racer, and depending on performance may earn a rotation spot.

*Keikel was assessed a 10-second penalty for causing a collision. Lap 1: Morell and B. Hancock collide at start, and neither can officially enter the race. Lap 3: Vicci crashes too. Vienna is already out of this race. Tough pill to swallow for a proud organization. Lap 4: As signed racers continue to wreck, the independents soldier on. Goodbye, Duquese. Lap 6: M. Hancock crashes out. He watches nervously on as crash-prone Jack Collins tries to salvage the day for Mustang. Lap 13: Another casualty, as Boros Attilla can no longer hold back the engine trouble. Lap 15: Keikel intentionally cuts off Gustafson, who tries too long to stay in the lane, and ends up wrecking in a huge fireball. Amazingly, Gustafson walks away unharmed. Keikel is given a 10 second penalty. Lap 18: Sergei Milkovic (Replacement for Savic) shows his relative inexperience and causes a crash that also wipes out poor old Bruno Da Silva. He is politely asked not to race here again, and will not be added to the standings. Only 7 of 16 cars finish the race. Somehow, Jack Collins is one of them. Consecutive 2nd place finishes for Kujiro, who is turning a lot of heads. GM takes a huge step toward repeating as constructors. Keikel is warned that if he causes another collision, he may be disqualified or suspended.

Lap 2: Immediately after coming back from injury, Savic crashes in the rain. Lap 4: Jack Collins' worst day yet. He crashes into his own teammate, taking them both out of the race for tonight. Lap 5: This rain isn't messing around. Daan and Attila fall victim to it as well. Lap 7: Another casualty, as Fehrvar finds the wall the hard way. Lap 8: Maybe we should just call the race? D. Halley wrecks in the horrible conditions. Lap 11: Is it even a race if Da Silva doesn't crash? Brutal stuff. Well, it's a lot rainier than it was at this time last year. We lost 8 racers in 11 laps. Luckily the rest decided to be VERY VERY careful and we had no more wrecks. Another GM win. These guys mean business. Collins is sent home from the tour. Mustang will use backup driver Tim Donst for the last 2 races.

Lap 1: This race immediately gets interesting, as last race's winner Stokely can't get his car going. Lap 2: Make that 2 top competitors. Kinda looks like Gustafson got a little revenge there. Bye, Keikel. Lap 3: Revenge is a dish best served not at all. Gustafson can't recover and crashes out from the front. Lap 4: Poor B. Attila. I feel like I write that every race. Lap 10: Kujiro and Halley brush by going too fast, and both wreck. Both GM members out means big opportunity in the constructor's championship. Lap 15: Morell crashes from the front of the pack. So much wasted opportunity today. Vienna intend to take full advantage of it. Lap 19: Mustang's very bad no good year continues, as M. Hancock crashes hard. GM losing both drivers today is gonna hurt, as Vienna go 1-2 and hapless Galas even finish 3-4. Vienna and GM are tied for the lead in constructors, while MNV, Audi, and Galas would need a miracle. Cause those never happen around here. Any of the top 6 racers could concieveably win the Driver's Championshp.
