Match 1: The 1st match in the history of WWF Monday Night Raw sees "The Natural" Butch Reed def. Chavo Guerrero in 10:06 with a Flying Shoulderblock.
Match 2: Davey Boy Smith def. Danny Spivey in 10:13 when Davey pinned Spivey with a Running Powerslam.
After the match: Davey Boy goes to shake the hand of Spivey when Spivey sucker punches him and nails a Powerbomb.
Match 3: Doug Furnas & Phil La Fon def. The Young Stallions in 10:20 when Furnas pinned Powers with a Powerslam.
Match 4: Sgt. Slaughter def. Nikolai Volkoff in 9:38 when Volkoff gave up to the Cobra Clutch.
Pre-Match Promo: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan leads King Kong Bundy to the ring in what appears to be a handicap match against Brian Blair and Hillbilly Jim. However, Heenan grabs a mic and claims that he's done it again. It won't be a handicap match, because it will be a tag team match with the NEWEST member of The Heenan Family..."Ravishing" Rick Rude!
Match 5: King Kong Bundy & "Ravishing" Rick Rude def. Brian Blair & Hillbilly Jim in 9:55 when Rude pinned Blair with a Rude Awakening.
Pre-Match Segment: The Can-Am Connection come to the ring for the next match. Howard Finkle then introduces their opponents..."Being lead towards the ring by their manager James J. Dillion...at total combined weight of 485lbs...here is Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard...The Brain Busters!"
Match 6: The Brain Busters def. The Can-Am Connection in 12:29 when Anderson pinned Martel with a Spike Piledriver. During the match, Tom Zenk walked out on Martel leaving Martel to fight on his own.
Pre-Match Promo: The Honky Tonk Man and "Colonel" Jimmy Hart is backstage hyping up Honky's upcoming match with Jake Roberts. Honky says that Jake was too chicken to show up to Wrestlemania III to be humiliated in front of a record crowd, but that's okay, because Honky will send Jake to Heartbreak Hotel on the very first episode of Monday Night Raw.
Match 7: Jake "The Snake" Roberts def. The Honky Tonk Man when Roberts pinned Honky after a DDT.
In-Ring Segment: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is with "The 8th Wonder of the World" Andre The Giant. Heenan is still holding the WWF World Title that he took from ringside at Wrestlemania III. Bobby says last night was the greatest night of his life as he left Wrestlemania III finally managing the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion. Heenan looks at Andre and says "I love it when a plan comes together! To think, he was too stupid to read the fine print in the contract! Well, that shouldn't surprise me as I don't think he can even read! Haha! Ladies and gentleman...and I use that term very loosely, allow me to introduce to you the NEW....the NEW...World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion...*Heenan looks over at Andre and smiles* "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff!"
Andre looks over at Heenan puzzled, which turns into anger as he starts yelling at Heenan. Andre gets in Bobby's face and backs him into a corner as Bobby pleads for mercy yelling "PLEASE LET ME EXPLAIN!" Andre doesn't want to hear it as he grabs Bobby, yelling at him. At this point, Paul Orndorff comes into the ring and sneaks up on Andre and clips the back of Andre's leg causing the giant to crumple to the mat in pain. Orndorff starts attacking Andre's leg, even getting a steal chair and ramming it into Andre's knee as Andre yells in pain. A swarm of officials come out to stop Orndorff from further damaging Andre The Giant's knee as Heenan places the WWF Title around Orndorff's waist as Orndorff taunts the crowd.
Match 8: For the WWF Intercontinental Championship Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat def. The Magnificent Muraco in 14:07 to retain the title when Steamboat pinned Muraco with a Flying Bodypress.
Post-Match: "Macho Man" Randy Savage comes out and gets in Steamboat's face and challenges Steamboat to a rematch for the IC Title. Steamboat accepts as Raw goes off the air.
