I thought I'd start this thread for any mod makers or even prospective ones who are looking for general assistance.
So if you have a question post it here and I'll provide a response. I might even be civil for the whole of my reply. 😀

I am recruiting for my team, what is the best way to get a good team around my mods? I must admit, for my own mods I've done the work myself whilst utilising data from others here and there. Any collaborations by me have mostly been by invite, either because of my work or because I've pestered people with comments like "your UK scene could do with a lot of work". Obviously, I've also ripped people to shreds and reached out to them at the same time...sneaky huh. I've seen teams fall apart quickly, people come in with claims then disappear and also teams realise it's still too much work. Even The Mod Squad, I can't think of a single mod that we collectively worked on data for and in all honesty it probably has to be that way or it would take even longer. So, you really need a few subject matter experts...or at least people who can be bothered expanding areas or sections...and then a group of testers. Even then, the testers can be the gamers if you're happy enough with your latest build. Really depends on year also, for some years researching 50 or so promotions will be a lot easier than others. If you have base data for say 2010, you can probably knock off various years fairly quickly if you only want a useable build. If you're like me, verging on autistic regarding history and inclusion, then it'll take longer and lead you down a lot of rabbit holes like "Nick Patrick was an announcer..." or "I need that logo, if I get six or seven screencaps I can piece it together". So, know what you want and then chat with people on discord for example or forums. Sadly "who wants to help me with a mod" doesn't get much traction" and you're maybe left with sourcing others by noticing their work and chucking them a private message.
