Premier League Wrestling (PLW) - A guide

Time Limits

• Matches on regular TV will have a time limit of ten minutes unless otherwise stated
• Title matches on regular TV will have a time limit of fifteen minutes unless otherwise stated
• Matches at “special events” and “supercards” will have a time limit of fifteen minutes unless otherwise stated.
• Title matches at “special events” and “supercards” will have a time limit of twenty minutes unless otherwise stated

Wrestler Fee’s

• Prize money for winning matches: $50 on TV $75 on “special events” and “supercards”. The fee is shared for draws including time limit stoppages
• Prize money for winning tag team matches is pro-rata depending on how many wrestlers are on each team and the fee is shared between the winning team (the fee is shared between all participants for draws including time limit stoppages)
• A flat fee of $50 (TV) & $100 (events) (shared for teams) for each match a wrestler participates in (World champion appearance fee is $100 and $150)
• The World champion also gets a bonus each time they make a successful defence of their title (TV $50, Events $75) This is on top of the regular prize money for winning matches)

Out Of Character (OOC): I’ve added these points to make the shows/company seem more realistic, the wrestlers are fighting to make a living, wrestling is their main/only source of income, it makes winning more important, it makes winning and holding titles special.

February 1991 in Review...

This is the first time I've done a diary like this before. I'm actually thinking about each show and planning how they are put together. I'm certainly not an expert at playing TEW in this way so I am out of my comfort zone but I think so far I'm holding up. Maybe I'm posting shows too quickly and I might give myself more time between shows from now on, more time to think about things and not just throw things together.

The 1st Episode is actually how I would book the first show of a wrestling company in real life if I ever had the chance. Maybe with a few tweaks here and there, but the idea of a menace heel champion being "given" the belt with the faces chasing appeals to me as an initial story for a company.

I wanted to do things this way so that my company will grow with me, storylines can manifest organically, there's no current storylines to tie up, no history between workers. We're starting from scratch and I'm hoping storylines will develop out of the actions I take. I want things to make sense and not just throw a few people into a feud for the sake of it.

No Clear Winner - Mike Enos and Dan Severn have now wrestled to a time limit draw twice. Without a clear winner, are the PLW considering offering both a contract? Or are we destined to see a string of rematches until something gives?

Ricky Steamboat earning his shot - Bam Bam Bigalow and Lisa Moretti have a liberty saying Steamboat must earn a shot at the title, bearing in mind Bigalow was given the title in the first place. But Steamboat is willing to climb the ranks and prove he's a viable challenger. But just how many people will he be expected to beat before getting his chance? And who else will the PLW hierarchy throw in his path?

You cost me! Brian Adias was furious with Butch Reed, costing him the opportunity to compete in the $200 tournament after already beating him in the Gauntlet Match qualifiers. Adias has already cost Reed one match but neither were seen on TV this past week. Are both lying low? Or planning more revenge?

Top dog? Tully Blanchard has main evented the previous 2 episodes of WEEKLY, both after issuing an open challenge. Is he preparing a title challenge of his own soon? Or is he happy collecting his prize money against what he see's as "lesser" opponents who are hoping to get lucky and piggy back on the glory that would come from beating the tough guy one on one?

I hope a next show is to come. The concept is great, the name of the federation is great too. I don't know about calling the title a World title straight away, but so far I've liked the stories. Specially Severn and Enos getting 2 time-limit draws while fighting for a contract (I hope you have penalties for repetitive booking turned off...). It's a kind of thing I'd book.
