Do child companies need road agents?I have an owner and booker in place, but
do I need road agents too? When do you start calling up talent from your child company?I have so much talent on my main roster I struggle to find a reason to.
How do I know when skills have developed?Do I get any kind of notification?I was thinking I would just have to keep up with their progress.
Thank you for the feedback!
Not sure about Child Companies needing road agents. You can't assign announcers for child companies so I imagine that announcers, referees and road agents are just done automatically or pretend for child companies as there's no real option to control this unless anyone else knows otherwise. It's AI just booking/generation that results for the child company shows anyway.
i'm about 1 year 9 months into my WCW save and I've started getting into a system of rotating the lower midcard talent I have with my child companies. For example I had Johnny Swinger & Simond Diamond as a tag team for over a year but they were both averaging around 50 rating for their matches. Did not have any plans for them with storyline/feud ideas and had a lot of talent in the child companies regularly starting to get match ratings well over 60 so I demoted them and took some new talent to be given a chance.
I check in on my child companies quite regularly and check everyone's match rating to see how they are doing. I don't usually go with wrestlers who complain the child company is too small for them it just means they have more popularity than the company itself - I usually ignore these requests and I don't notice a negative morale as a result which is cool. I like to have a one or two workers who are more 'over' than the company that helps ratings and also get some younger talent over.
My rule at the moment is that I only call up workers from child companies who are getting over 60 match ratings regularly. I also take into account their experience and psychology attributes too. I usually want them to have at least 2 years experience, be over 18 y/o and with psychology at least 30+ - I've recently found that doing 'script match' for these workers helps them get better ratings until they progress to good workers.
I do have some exceptions to my rule - for example I had two workers in my child company who were both Film/TV stars and were away filming and their popularity shot up because of it. I called them up to capitalize on this despite their in ring skills not great yet. I still have them attend the performance centre whilst on my main roster and protect them in matches.
For an easier rule; just check your child company show ratings each week and just see who's always the best performers - they're usually the ones to promote and maybe demote some lower mid carders on your main roster who have negative momentum atm. You can always recall them for others down the road.
