WWE TLC 15.12.2013 Houston, TX
1. WWE IC Title Ladder Match: Dean Ambrose (c) def. Jack Swagger (w/ Dutch Mantell), Kofi Kingston (w/ Naomi) and Dolph Ziggler (w/ Eva Marie) (15 mins) Tough title defence for Amborse here: Swagger is doing well as a babyface; Kingston is a ladder match expert by now; Ziggler is a loose cannon and seems ready to explode. Hopefully they can have a great opener and set the standards for a good show. Ambrose pushes Kingston off a ladder and grabs the belt to retain
2. Claudio Castagnoli (w/ Layla) def. Drew McIntyre (10 mins) Final blowoff between the two former tag partners, as Claudio in 2013 was clearly on the rise while McIntyre was missing something at this time. They have an intense brawl and it seems like Claudio wants to take out Drew for good, in fact he hits him with three consecutives ricola bomb before finally pinning him to win
3. Chair Match: Rowan & Harper (w/ Bray Wyatt) def. Big Show & Kane (8 mins) No disqualifications this time, so Show and Kane want to teach Rowan and Harper a lesson, while Wyatt just watches as usual and doesn't like to get involved too much. Show and Kane are pretty much Kojima and Tenzan in my recent WWE, they have been for a bit. The heels suplex Kane on some chairs and win the match
4. Rey Mysterio def. Sin Cara (w/ Rosa Mendes) by DQ (11 mins) The dream match is here, even though Mysterio wasn't 100% at this time and Cara didn't get as over as desired. Still, it's an attraction and leaving it to AAA a few years later was quite silly. The hate is there and the match quickly derails, ending in DQ to keep the feud going. Mysterio hits a crazy dive to get some heat back
5. WWE Tag Titles Tables Match: The Rhodes Brothers (c) def. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns (12 mins) Another blowoff here, these two teams have done really well and been feuding for months and months now. Not only the chemistry is clearly there, but the stipulation gives me the chance to keep the belts on the brothers without actually beating the Shield. Reigns misses a spear on Goldust and he crashes into a table, losing the match
6. #1 Contender: CM Punk (w/ AJ) def. Randy Orton (15 mins) Both Punk and Orton want a title shot and Stephanie books this match, putting a roadblock in front of Punk and also trying to cooperate with Orton, who's not happy at all about Stephanie using Cena to dethrone Bryan. Punk and Orton always had decent matches, hope this can be good too, Orton is too focused on using the punt that he gets predictable and Punk wins with the GTS
7. WWE World Title TLC Match: John Cena (c) (w/ Nikki Bella) def. Daniel Bryan (w/ Brie Bella) and Alberto Del Rio (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) (20 mins) The feud continues and it's a tough match for Bryan, even though Cena and Del Rio just had a personal feud and don't like each others at all. Stephanie considers Del Rio a hired gun and Cena just a person at the right place at the right time, none of them is her chosen one, so she doesn't care if they tear each other apart as long as they keep the title away from Bryan. It comes down to Cena vs. Bryan at the end, but Del Rio shakes Bryan's ladder and Bryan falls so Cena manages to retain

WWE Royal Rumble 26.01.2014 Pittsburgh, PA
1. Claudio Castagnoli def. Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya) (8 mins) Claudio is getting a good push and aims to get the IC Title back, while Kidd is always a good hand and can give him a nice match here. I think of Claudio/Sydal from 2007 in ROH, really quick and effective encounter that can hopefully be imitated here. Claudio struggles a bit, but then hits the ricola bomb and wins
2. WWE Tag Titles: The Rhodes Brothers (c) def. The Caribbean Connection (w/ Rosa Mendes) (10 mins) The Caribbeans beat their rivals, the Usos, to win a title shot and are next in line for a title shot. Cody and Goldust are living a magic moment and a dream, but Primo and Epico have more experience as a team and it shows, getting the champions in danger a few times. Rhodes get the hot tag and pins Epico with the cross rhodes
3. WWE IC Title: Dean Ambrose (c) def. Kofi Kingston (w/ Naomi) (12 mins) After getting so close to winning the IC Title back at TLC, Kingston gets a title shot and Ambrose tells him that sometimes life isn't fair and the so called justice is not always a given. Big E tries to interfere in Kingston's business, but gets ejected, even though this allows Ambrose to shut Kofi's comeback and hit the dirty deeds to retain
4. WWE World Title: John Cena (c) (w/ Nikki Bella) def. CM Punk (w/ AJ) (20 mins) This match means a lot, for 3 reasons: 1) Cena has never defeated Punk; 2) Punk can now show that all he said in 2011 about Cena was true; 3) they always had great matches. "Corporate Cena", who never really works with the Authority but is helped against Punk and Bryan, gets a lot of heat from the fans but he manages to retain with the FU after Triple H comes back and attacks him
5. Royal Rumble Match: Daniel Bryan wins by last eliminating Randy Orton. Participants: Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Curt Hawkins, Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Fandango, Rowan, Joe Hennig, Big E, Big Show, Roman Reigns, Kevin Nash, Alberto Del Rio, Brock Lesnar, R-Truth, Zack Ryder, Sin Cara, Kane, Randy Orton, Xavier Woods, Road Dogg, Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Batista, Billy Gunn and Santino Marella) (58 mins) Ziggler is #1 and has a great match, lasting for a long time and constantly proving his improvement. Reigns is in at #8 and Rollins at #11, they dominate the match and eliminate a few opponents, but then they clash with the Wyatt Family in a furious brawl that sees everyone getting eliminated. Bryan is in at #16 and does really well, but you can tell that Stephanie put a bounty on him and Del Rio really wants to collect it when he comes in at #20, but Bryan throws him out. Lesnar is #22 and destroys all he sees, but Undertaker shockingly makes an appearance and chokeslams Lesnar before eliminating him. Orton is #27 and is happy about being the chosen one to eliminate Bryan, but Stephanie has another weapon and Batista is #30, getting Orton again surprised and angry. Final four: #1 Ziggler, #16 Bryan, #27 Orton and #30 Batista. Ziggler is exhausted and Bryan eliminates him with a buisaku kneed. Orton and Batista are not happy to be on the same team after almost a decade, but they work together on Bryan, until Orton outsmarts Batista and throws him out. Orton celebrates, but Bryan is hanging on the ropes and kicks Orton to eliminate him and win the Rumble

WWE Elimination Chamber 23.02.2014 Minneapolis, MN
1. WWE IC Title Elimination Chamber: Claudio Castagnoli (w/ Layla) def. Dean Ambrose (c), Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya), Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger (w/ Dutch Mantell) and Kofi Kingston (w/ Naomi) (27 mins) Once you are going ahead with the themed PPV it's silly to just have one Elimination Chamber in here, a second one can be good for the IC Title's prestige. They have all been gravitating around the title and feuding with each other a lot lately, anyway. Ambrose gets finished by Claudio and Swagger after they team up, but then Claudio hits a quick ricola on Swagger and pins him to win the title back
2. WWE Tag Titles: The Rhodes Brothers (c) def. The New Age Outlaws (7 mins) Putting the titles back on the Outlaws in 2012 was a horrible choice, but having them back for a little run was not a bad idea to be fair. The Authority brings them in to stop the Rhodes Bros, who are willing to show that the handpicked wrestlers are not better than them. Cody pins Dogg after the cross rhodes and so they retain
3. Dolph Ziggler (w/ Eva Marie) def. Daniel Bryan (w/ Brie Bella) (15 mins) The Authority wants to hurt Bryan before 'Mania and, with his main rivals in the main event, they choose Ziggler as his opponent because he has a great track against Bryan in the previous years. Ziggler tells the Authority that he's his own man, anyway, but knows that this is an important match for him. It's a close and competitive match, that Ziggler wins with a dirty roll up
4. Rowan & Harper (w/ Bray Wyatt) def. Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns (10 mins) The Shield and The Wyatt Family had their first face off during the Rumble and they started feuding straight away, as the Wyatts claim to be the top group in the WWE and are undefeated in trios matches just like the Shield. The have a tag match here, with Wyatt again just standing at ringside and helping Harper getting the pin on Rollins with a big boot
5. WWE World Title Elimination Chamber: John Cena (c) (w/ Nikki Bella) def. Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez), Batista, CM Punk (w/ AJ) and Rey Mysterio (33 mins) The Authority want Orton or Batista to win this, but the two can't stand each other and Orton is mad because they called Batista back to do the job, while Batista resents Orton for betraying him at the Rumble. Del Rio is falling out of favour as the hired gun, while Cena as usual doesn't side with them but is surely more desirable than Mysterio and especially Punk, who cuts an angry promo at HHH after the Rumble finish. Batista gets revenge on Orton with a batista bomb and the pin, but Punk eliminates him quickly. It's Cena vs. Punk again and Cena prevails with the FU

WWE WrestleMania XXX 06.04.2014 New Orleans, LA
1. WWE IC Title Scramble Match: Jack Swagger (w/ Dutch Mantell) def. Alberto Del Rio (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez), Dolph Ziggler (w/ Eva Marie), Claudio Castagnoli (c) (w/ Layla) and Kofi Kingston (w/ Naomi) (15 mins) The Scramble match is back and I am using the guys that have been around the IC Title for most of the previous year, plus 2 former World champions. Ziggler is just a notch above everyone else, doesn't get pinned and is sure about his victory, but 20 seconds before the time expires Swagger locks the ankle lock on Del Rio and submits him to win the belt
2. Sin Cara (w/ Rosa Mendes) def. Rey Mysterio (12 mins) The blowoff is finally here and, again, I wanted to make sure that we have a suitable location for a match this important. The story is personal: Cara used to love Mysterio, but he got unmasked in WCW and still decided to fight with the mask on to make money, but that is a huge dishonour for his country. Cara cheats and uses the C4 to steal an important victory
3. The Shield def. The Wyatt Family (13 mins) After the skirmish in the Rumble, the Wyatts start teasing the Shield, who end up turning face even if they play the part of tweeners most of the time. Both teams are undefeated in 3v3 matches and Wyatt, after months of staying mostly out of the ring, finally feels challenged enough to get more physical with his opponents. It's a war and the Shield manage to win with a triple powerbomb on Rowan
4. No Holds Barred Match: Triple H (w/ Stephanie McMahon) def. CM Punk (w/ AJ) (15 mins) Let's be clear. I think both HHH and Stephanie are the worst when it comes to a personal standpoint and Punk was 100% right here, but think about business: it's the right thing to do, to job Punk to the Authority to get lots of heat on them. Plus, it's 2023 and it's not like Punk came back to WWE or whatever. HHH sided with his former wife when he returned and costed Punk the WWE Title, so Punk wants revenge here. They did okay in 2011, HHH cheats and pedigrees Punk to win.
5. Randy Orton def. Batista (12 mins) This as the main event in 2014 was a complete joke, but as a midcard match? Why not. The story makes sense: Orton failed to win the title and the Authority got Batista back to help them, which reignites their old rivalry and they both want to be the chosen one. Batista plays the face here, as he was just called to do a job, while Orton is upset with it. Orton hits the RKO and wins the match
6. Hell In A Cell Match: Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman) def. The Undertaker (20 mins) Why am I breaking the streak? Well, again, it's 2023 and Lesnar is still with WWE and so I can give this heat to someone that will stick around (only a few times a year though) rather than letting Taker take this to the grave (pun intended). Taker started the feud because he thinks that Lesnar feels unbeatable, but they went to war in 2002 and the only real streak is his at 'Mania. HIAC is needed, as the match was atrocious and this could hopefully save it. F-5 and you could hear a pen drop, Lesnar has broken the streak
7. WWE Tag Titles: The Rhodes Brothers (c) def. The Usos (w/ Tamina) (10 mins) Not a nod or anything special, but I need a match that can let people take a breath after Taker's loss and I chose this one. I'm sure the work would be solid, but I had to "sacrifice" a match and so here we go. The face vs. face gives us a clean and correct bout, the Rhodes Bros retain when Cody pins Jimmy Uso
8. WWE World Title: Daniel Bryan (w/ Brie Bella) def. John Cena (c) (w/ Nikki Bella) (25 mins) Feel like they could have done this at 'Mania 30 and use the full potential that this storyline had. 1) Cena kind of sold out, but still claims that he only did what everyone else does: listen to his employer; 2) Bryan vs. Cena was always a go-to match, as all Bryan's fans think he's 10 times better than Cena and all Cena fans think Bryan is a nobody; 3) the story of Bryan falling in love with Brie and so not bringing Nikki to ringside anymore, until now Nicki finds her way back with Cena to get revenge. Summer Slam 2013 was great and they should have one of the best 'Mania main events ever, Bryan hits the buisaku knee and wins the belt

So you're not doing NXT takeovers since you skipped NXT Arrival? I have also skipped OVW and FCW shows! Don't want to get into it right now, but NXT is one the worst things that happened to wrestling and it also led to me not watching anymore

So you're not doing NXT takeovers since you skipped NXT Arrival? I have also skipped OVW and FCW shows! Don't want to get into it right now, but NXT is one the worst things that happened to wrestling and it also led to me not watching anymore You’re joking, right?! NXT had me hooked from 2013 onwards and for the first time, there was no bad comedy, no questionable booking decisions, a better booked women’s division, and a rotating roster that didn’t overexpose any of the talents. I never missed an episode from that moment onwards. The Takeovers, more often than not, outclassed the main roster PPV’s from December 2014 onwards in terms of quality, and they were always something to look forward to. Anyone who thinks that Takeover: New York isn’t better than the bloated WrestleMania 35 is lying to themselves. But, nothing stays gold forever. Vince had to sacrifice it for a pointless ratings war with AEW, and then soil it by turning it into 2.0, which turned me off it big time after the pandemic entered irrelevancy. Add that the talent he wasted - Black, Lee, Dijakovic, Almas, et al - and you see how out of touch he is.

It’s ironic that NXT made you stop watching. I stopped watching WWE from 2009 to 2011, and discovered Ring of Honour. That held me over till CM Punk and his pipebomb.

If you're talking about gameshow NXT, then sure, that was trash, but in no way was NXT black and gold from 2012-2021 "The worst thing to happen to pro wrestling".
