However, von Raschke did not let his opponent escape and attacked him and began beating him in the ring. Rick Rude came to the rescue and he and Ventura attacked von Raschke. Sid unexpectedly came to the rescue and made a face turn, saving von Raschke.
AWA International Television Championship | Saniko (c) defeated Mr. Sandman in 7:05 Saniko pinned Mr. Sandman with Samoan Drop. Saniko is unable to stand up because of the torture he was subjected to at the UNOT headquarters a few days ago. The traces of torture on his back are evident. But despite this, his brother Fatu distracts Sandman and helps him keep the belt.
James Sandoval defeated Ricky Steamboat in 12:19 by disqualification The referee disqualified Steamboat when Sandoval threw the brass knuckle he took from outside the ring during the match, pretending to be hit by Steamboat and throwing it into the ring. Thus, Black Panthers Rising became the number one contendar for the AWA World Tag Team belt.
Ken Patera (w/Ed Ewers and Tom Lindman) defeated Brian Pillman in 6:33 Patera pinned Pillman with Spinning Full Nelson. It is unknown who did it. o At the show's closing, it was learned, shockingly, that Dowboy would not be appearing at the Canadian Grand Prix. Instead, the Dynamite Kid was quickly added to the match. I must have missed an earlier explanation for this but Why do you rename some of your talent?

Wow, that note on Black Panthers Rising is incredible. That is an awesome angle that I know would get some great heat. Thanks lot! I was also excited while writing it. Thanks to Black Panthers Rising, young talent Booker T's (James Sandoval) momentum increased even more. I must have missed an earlier explanation for this but Why do you rename some of your talent? Frankly, it feels more like a realistic diary when I rename young talents like this. I like creating AWA-specific gimmicks for talents.

AWA-Specific gimmicks? I don't think AWA did gimmicks. Verne Gagne like all the old school promoters at the time hated the character based wrestling that wwe was based on and perfered his wrestlers to be realistic and specialized in a technical substance over style type like early roh. The only time they tried anything gimmicky was the team challenge series and that failed miserably. And younger talent? Some of them Maybe but guys like Terry Gordy and Chris adams were around 10 year veterans at the time And were also mainstays of fritz von Erich's WCCW and Terry actually did some work in AWA for a few years with the freebirds like on the superclashes. And why have booker t on your roster without his brother Stevie ray? Harlem Heat/ebony experience would be big players in your tag division.

AWA-Specific gimmicks? I don't think AWA did gimmicks. This diary is called "TBS Acquires AWA" as you can see. Verne Gagne was fired and someone more innovative was put in charge of the company by Ted Turner. So Turner's checkbook saved the company, and you're actually reading an imaginary post-1991 diary. Of course, the company will produce some more cartoonish characters to survive. I say it again: this is an imaginary diary. Gagne's company was bought from him. I'm trying to make the company more in line with the wrestling trends of that era. I am also aware that original-AWA is run with an old school wrestling mentality. But let's be realistic, if I wrote it in such a mentality, who would read it? Frankly, I don't want to write "mat wrestling" matches.
When I say young talent, I'm not talking about Gordy and Adams. There are younger talents on Roster. (Eddie, Taz, Mabel, Saturn, Booker T, Al Snow) Yes, I brought Booker T into the company without his brother. Because I ask, "How would something different be?" I don't want to do predictable things. Stevie Ray will join the roster of course. But I want to do this gradually and fit into the storyline that's going on right now.
