Crockett Cup Quarter Final | Tully Blanchard defeated Jerry Lawler in 11:42 Blanchard submitted Lawler with Figure Four Leglock. Blanchard and Lawler's chemistry matched and the match got good ratings. With this match, the participants of the semi-final trio match have been announced.
🎖️ AWA World Tag Team Championship | The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) def. Lanny The Clever and Chris Candido (c) in 9:36 TITLE CHANGE!!! Gibson pinned Candido with Double Dropkick. As always, the Lanny/Candido duo play their match comfortably, fully studying their lessons. However, Candido puts on a terrible performance and loses the match. After a while, it is understood that Dynamite Kid mixed Candido's "study notebooks" and Candido prepared for the match incorrectly, causing the defeat. The Morton and Gibson duo thus become AWA World Tag champions for the third time. Morton's performance skills improved with this match.
SEGMENT - Jesse Ventura cuts a promo with Red Hook alongside: “You're expecting a lot of surprises tonight. BUT NO! THERE WILL NOT BE A SURPRISE. Red Hook will be this year's Crockett Cup winner and will go to SuperClash. There is no other reality! There's only one person who will be shocked tonight and that's Frank Reed. He'll be shocked when he finds out who's been messing with him for months!”
Unorthodox Cirice (King Kong Bundy and Red Hook Machine) (w/Jesse Ventura) defeated The Samoan Lancers (Fatu and Samu) (w/Afa) in 7:37 Bundy submitted Samu with Camel Clutch. It's a set up for Red Hook to play two matches on the same night. However, as can be expected, with Ventura's directive, Red Hook is not involved in the match so as not to get tired. The mighty Bundy also almost dominates the match. With this match, Fatu's rumble skills and Bundy's technical skills improved.
SEGMENT - Bischoff interviews Blanchard: “The winner of the tournament is already clear. You're looking at the winner, Eric! Check out those semi-final rivals! What more could I ask for? To be honest, if Lawler was in this semi finals, I would have struggled a bit. But now I see that there are two apprentices in front of me. I'm going to bang their heads together and get to the final in peace. Everyone better be sure of that!”
🎖️ AWA International Television Championship | Title vs. $500,000 | Owen Hart (w/Jackie Fargo) defeated Diamond Dallas Page (c) (w/Greg Valentine) in 15:41 TITLE CHANGE!!! Owen submitted DDP with Sharpshooter. At the beginning of the match, we saw that Fargo, who was usurped last week, was not at the ringside. However, towards the end of the match, he came to the ringside and supported Owen. In this way, Owen recovered and won the match and both captured the belt and the lawsuit filed by DDP against him was dropped. The defeated DDP stayed that way for a while, getting down on its knees in the ring. Valentine comes from backstage and entered the ring to console him. However, DDP went backstage by pushing him hard and knocking him down. Owen's performance skills improved with this match.
Crockett Cup Semi Final | 3-Way Match | Mr. Sandman defeated Tully Blanchard and James Sandoval in 18:08 After the Unorthodox Cirice team (Enos, Bigelow and Bundy) interfered with the match and knocked the referee down, Mick Foley and Malenko/Benoit came running to help Sandman. Sandman makes his finishing move to Blanchard, albeit hard, and goes to the pin. With a sobering spray from his pocket, Foley immediately wakes up the referee and he gives the pin, and Sandman advances to the final! Blanchard can't believe what's going on. Foley dives into the ring and hugs Sandman and spins him around.
🎖️ AWA World Heavyweight Championship | Larry Zbyszko (c) drew with Brian Pillman in 26:03 At the end of the head-to-head match, Rental Killers members Ed Ewers and Tom Lindman comes to the ringside. This time with BILL GAGNE as the force behind them! They attack everyone and the match cannot be completed. Thus, we learn that the power behind Rental Killers is Bill Gagne (James Mitchell), the little-known member of the Gagne family. Everyone in the ring is lying on the floor as Bill walks backstage with his back turned, grinning. Just like last year on SuperClash, Pillman won't be able to reach the title again because of the Rental Killers. With this match, Zbyszko's rumble skills improved.
SEGMENT - Sandman, who is having trouble walking from exhaustion just before the Crockett Cup final match, is attacked by Bigelow and Enos on the ramp while walking towards the ring. For a while, no one comes to help. Afterwards, the officials decide that Sandman will not be able to continue the match as a result of this attack. Red Hook in the ring begins to declare himself the winner of the tournament.
🏆 Crockett Cup Final | Shawn Michaels defeated Red Hook Machine in 10:39 Michaels pinned Red Hook with Sweet Chin Music. After what happened, Frank Reed appears in the entrance. Frank tells him that he guessed that Ventura would plan something again and that he had taken a precautionary measure. "So you've injured Sandman. That's sad. But everyone has a plan B, Jesse. It's a little bit one of the "never saw coming" type show. It was the longest show I've ever written. Thank you very much for participating guys! Finally, Shawn Michaels debuted. I specifically wanted him to debut somewhat controversially like this. I think in the future I can write a few related storylines. |

I'm honestly not a fan of swerves in tournament finals, but holy hell, it's Shawn Michaels! He is a ridiculously good addition to your roster and there are a lot of names he can work with: Pillman, Owen, DDP... to name just a small few.

SEGMENT - The show opens with a video featuring recaps of the finale of the Crockett Cup tournament last night. Shawn Michaels came to the AWA years later and shockingly won the tournament. Also, the other big event of last night was the appearance of Bill Gagne and the fact that he was the power behind Rental Killers.
SEGMENT - Frank Reed came into the ring to talk about what happened last night. Bill Gagne followed soon after. The two come face to face. Bill explains in detail to Reed's face why he hired the Rental Killers formation and why he has been attacking the company for over a year. According to Bill, Frank and all the wrestlers in this company, especially Ted Turner, are "destroyed his family." Bill has come to take it back. Frank says that Mr. Turner, TBS and himself saved AWA from the brink of bankruptcy, that the Gagne family is now anachronistic in professional wrestling and that's what needs to happen. "I will not hand over the company to your family again! I will not throw away all this effort, do your best," he openly challenges. Bill leaves the ring with a grin and just saying "we'll see".
Butch Reed defeated Simon Diamond in 5:53 - Butch pinned Diamond with Lariat. At the next Taboo Hour show, we learn that Butch will fight Zbyszko for the AWA World Title. SEGMENT - Ricky Steamboat appears backstage fully recovered. He is looking for Jesse Ventura, who revisited the attack he suffered months ago last week. Mr. Sandman defeated Chris Candido in 8:03 - Sandman pinned Candido with White Russian Legsweep. Sandman, who showed an outstanding performance in the tournament matches last night, puts forward a successful match tonight as well. SEGMENT - Jeff Jarrett interviews Bischoff in the ring. He starts talking about what happened to DDP last night. Jarrett says he has a lot of respect for DDP, who made him shine at this company and is his friend from Hollywood, saying he's been treated unfairly. "I think this company has a nauseous towards the stars. Here I am, Owen Hart, come beat me and we'll see." But no one comes. STAR REVIEW WITH MICK FOLEY - This time Foley mockingly presents the usual Star Review program presented by Blanchard and examines the semi-final match that Blanchard lost. “Tully, you were making fun of my sanity. When Ventura asked if he would agree to be made directly into the final match of this tournament as soon as he arrived, Michaels replied, "Oh no, Jesse. Don't get in there, don't do that! I've always followed what's going on with this company in my absence. I've seen what you've done to people here for a year and a half. But you know what? It doesn't matter if the Rick Rude dude you put in front of you for nothing and then leaves! It doesn't matter if what you did to the Sandman last night will go away. You'll get away with nothing anymore!"
