Memorial Hall @ Kansas City, MO
Announcers - Rod Trongard and Frank Reed
Attendance - 3,500 *SOLD OUT*
Rating - 0.32
SEGMENT 1 - New AWA World champion Ricky Steamboat is presented with his new belt by Frank Reed. During the ceremony, James Sandoval arrives and tells Frank that a message will be delivered to Frank later in the day by his master, Butch Reed.
SEGMENT 2 - Salazar Luuv (w/Eddie Guerrero) defeated Owen Hart (w/Jackie Fargo) in 6:18 by pinfall with a Dandy Roll
SEGMENT 3 - Jerry Lawler is warming up for today's match in the locker room. After drinking his water, he suddenly gets sick and falls to the ground. After a while, the room gets dark and we see The Wendigo's bright eyes. He may have done something to Lawler.
SEGMENT 4 - Crockett Cup 1st Round - Max Moon defeated Diamond Dallas Page in 7:09 by pinfall with a Super Kick
SEGMENT 5 - Jesse Ventura brings a brand new wrestler to the AWA: Red Hook Machine. Ventura presents it as "my most valuable machine". We watch Red Hook's matches in other companies. We know him as Taz.
SEGMENT 6 - Black Panther Rising comes to front of the announce table. Butch brought the message Sandoval mentioned at the beginning of the show. “When will the AWA stop discriminating against black wrestlers?” Frank gets a little nervous. He directly denies it. “So I'm challenging for the AWA championship title, get that,” says Butch. Frank is a little confused as to what to do, but doesn't say what his final decision is.
SEGMENT 7 - Larry Zbyszko gives an interview. He slams his opponent, Brian Pillman, in the Crockett Cup quarterfinals. "I've beaten that boy in the past, and I'll beat him again."
SEGMENT 8 - Larry Zbyszko defeated Dean Malenko in 9:05 by pinfall with a Piledriver
SEGMENT 9 - We learn that Rick Rude will be on the show next week.
SEGMENT 10 - At the close of the show, footage of Lawler being taken to the hospital appears on the screen. Eric Bischoff reports live from the scene. Lawler was thought to have been poisoned. He was to be taken to the hospital immediately. The program ends as Lawler is placed on a stretcher into the ambulance.
