2018: ALL IN

The wrestling world at the time was in Dire Straits. Over on the side of WWE, they were finding ways to keep their loyal fanbase at the very least entertained, however, with the age of the internet, fans who initially watched WWE that started to get sick of the same old product, turned to alternatives. Companies such as Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla provided the alternative that hardcore fans craved. In 2018, Wrestling Observer Newsletter writer Dave Meltzer replied to a fan who asked if ROH could possibly sell out a big venue such as Madison Square Garden, to which Meltzer replied to the fan that it wasn't gonna happen any time soon. However, Cody Rhodes, a member of the wrestling collective, The Elite, replied to Meltzer in taking that bet. And so, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, with the help of financial backing and support from ROH, provided the biggest ever Independent show in history, simply titled ALL IN, which sold out the Sears Centre in Chicago IL.
