WCW Monday Nitro LIVE From The Mall Of America -INTERMISSION--INTERMISSION-FINAL RATINGUnfortunately because of the decision to do a different starting storyline with DDP & Sting, the fans didn't think there was enough interesting stories so that affected the rating. TV: 5.68 (3,692,620 Viewers)

TALE OF THE TAPE
Each week, we will keep track of the war, who won the show grade, who won the ratings war...AND this is the part where you the reader come in, you predicted who would win in terms of ratings or grades and said which show you'd tune in to, but now with both shows written and posted. Who do YOU think won, regardless of grades and ratings. Based on what happened during the shows, in your opinion, which one, if it happened on TV would you have said "I'm tuning in next week." The show with the most votes gets the win. If nobody votes for a show or in the event of a tie, I will decide as the writer based on which one I had more fun writing and which one I enjoyed the final result of more.

DinoKea's Pick Winner: Monday Night RAW #1
I'm trying to imagine this from a perspective of this is the first episode each I've watched. RAW feels like it's building something up, including building up (from my perspective) The Undertaker, introducing Sid as a massive threat and leaving some interest as to where the intercontinental scene can go with Jarrett beating Michaels because of Sid. Are they allies?
Meanwhile Nitro produced some matches I would've likely enjoyed more. Typically I enjoy more high-flying wrestlers, so I can imagine the WCW's early matches being more interesting to me. Pillman's promo suffers from the lack of history and where things might go being a little too unknown. DDP v Sting probably would have got me some interest and the Giant taking out Hogan might've too but I get the distinct feeling it wouldn't be enough.
Based on this I'd say I'd be tuning into RAW live and going back later to watch Nitro for the matches.

Tough call. Pillman's pipe bomb was the moment of the night, but Nitro seemed to go downhill from there. Yeah the match ratings were higher, but I'm looking at it about my interests and viewing preferences in 1995. Raw had a weak open but I like the goldust promo and had some good things going on later in the show. So overall, I'd give the edge to Raw
