January 19th - 25th- We are getting closer and closer to the first supershow. This morning I spoke to the NWA board of directors and paid the fee to sign Ric Flair's mystery partner. As the Naitch is still healing, I have booked the mystery man for 2 appearances: he will be a part of the next TV show and will also wrestle the main event of Star Wars alongside Flair. Only Flair (and the NWA higher ups) know who he is at the moment, I like to keep things private and discreet
- The Great Kabuki asked for a raise. He was making $100 per appearance and wanted $150 instead. I accepted, as he's doing really well and has good momentum on his side
- However, I refused to give Frank Dusek a raise. He makes $95 per show and was looking to get $150, but I am only using him as a road agent so far. I gave him a week off to find himself, as he wasn't happy about my answer
- ASW lost their TV deal as well
- The WWF booked a Wrestling Challenge episode in the Mid Atlantic area and only drew 22 fans
- JPW is now part of the NWA. I invited them in myself and want to keep an eye on the UK scene
- Ric Flair has been defending the NWA World Heavyweight Title all over the world. He retained against Ron Garvin at CWF Superbowl and then against Giant Baba at AJPW Heroes of Wrestling
- Chris Adams showed up high and in no condition to perform for the second time since I hired him... I sent him home and gave him a stern warning. I won't tolerate it another time. I have also been told that Adams wasn't too happy about my reaction

Show notes- Disappointing show, as the matches couldn't hang with the good segments. I trusted Hayes and Lothario to have a good main event, but something didn't click there despite the good heat
- Buddy Roberts seemed a bit uncomfortable when cutting promos with the Freebirds, I might have to script his lines
- David and Kerry von Erich have great chemistry, which is great as they will tag at the supershow
- The crowd was really hot for the opening even though Samu didn't perform as well as the others, I will open most of my shows with a strong match if possible
- Brian Adias suffered from a retracted index finger during a dark match, but he shouldn't miss any dates
- Tommy Rich and Ken Mantell have good chemistry
