January 12th - 18th

- I am a bit worried about my ratings and the fact that my shows have been rated under 60. This week, both EMLL and GCW had their shows moved to a late night slot due to low ratings, while MLW and PNW have lost their TV deal. I certainly don't want to do the same...

- Speaking of distribution, a small TV channel in South East will also carry our monthly Star Wars. I will pay them $5000 per show, but the 45% of the revenue will be ours... let's see how that works out. Wrestlers that also work on the east coast, like Ric Flair, are suddenly a hot commodity for me

- Ric Flair suffered a torn LCL during a MACW show, but assured me that he will be in the ring at Star Wars. He already worked once while hurt, for GCW, so I hope he will make it. As he makes almost $3000 per appearance, I might not use him at all before the supercard to save some money

- I have parted ways with Mike Bond

- The NWA continues to struggle, as All Japan has declared war to New Japan now. Knowing Baba, they will keep their isolation going. I haven't spoke to Inoki since speaking about sending some talent on excursion, I might have to get in touch soon...

- Speaking of New Japan, an important title change just took place: Black Tiger won the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title from Tiger Mask

- Mil Mascaras no showed an All Japan event and might be on his way out. If he moves back to the States, I might think about using him here and there as he's decently over here, but he doesn't have a great reputation

- I have hired a wrestler and decided to work everyone, including the boys, on his identity. I might get a lot of heat for that, but we'll see. He will wear a mask and work as a babyface, I was looking for a ring name and he suggested Mr. X and I like it enough. I'll have him work some dark matches like Bobby Eaton has been doing, I don't want too many new faces to land all at the same time 

- I think I have too many belts for such a thin roster. Gary was a fan of the six men belt, but I really don't know how useful it can be past the Von Erichs vs. Freebirds feud. Plus, apart from the TV Title, all the titles are held by either Von Erichs or Freebirds... I will leave it as it is for now, but I might reduce the amount of titles down the road

- Jimmy Garvin was judged by the wrestlers court for picking up Fritz Von Erich late from the airport, he will have to buy him a meal. I didn't know Fritz flew to our shows?!

Show notes

- I am quite happy: my best show, my first sell out arena and my highest rating! Better than that, no letter from the TV provider this time, so they are happy enough

- The mysterious Mr. X debuted by winning a dark pre-show Battle Royal, however The Spoiler seemed furious about not winning it. I changed the booking, giving him a lot of eliminations and the runner up position, but he still complained and so I still booked Mr. X to win. Let's see how Spoiler reacts

- The reason why Chris Adams lost is that I wanted to punish him for last week's behaviour, he had a good match and jobbed with no issues, so I am happy about it. Tommy Rich will finally debut next week, so I can try them as a unit now

- The crowd was really hot during the opener and of course the main event

- Butch Miller properly sucked during his squash, he was botched 2 simple moves in 2 minutes. I was happy to make Bundy look great by hiring an experienced sparring partner, but I ended up wasting £200. Safe to say that he won't be booked ever again

- Gary Hart did really well as a colour guy and he has good chemistry with Bill Mercer. Marc Lowrance did okay as an interviewer

Pretty good show, much due to the main event. I love how you point out the "show notes", it really gives the perspective that what we're reading is no short of a diary, more than a dynasty. Mil Mascaras is probably good for a single job and a goodbye, but I'm sure he'll complain about that too.

The card for New Year's Star Wars is shaping up, and even though Flair's hurt, the main event should be his match, probably.

I loved Terry Funk's justification and it makes perfect sense. I'm pulling for their win in a bloody main event. I don't know if Kevin will be able to retain the title, as Bundy is a tough challenger but...
Oh, Chris Adams is a mess

Oh boy... that's a pain in the ass. I don't know how that can happen, to be honest, as I'm not very familiar with the Alliance system. Maybe one of the most experienced guys like Asaemon can help you. The best advice I can give you is to carefully plan your schedule so you only have a show in the same day as one of the lowest ranked members of NWA, as they can't even afford Flair.
