(Santino debuts on an episode of Raw in Italy as a fan handpicked by Chris Masters for his Master Lock Challenge, with Santino doing the unthinkable and managing to slip out of The Master Lock, becoming the first man to defeat Masters in The Master Lock challenge. For this, Santino is signed to a WWE contract, and his first match the following week on Raw, Santino scores a shock upset over Masters in a non title match, securing himself an IC title shot against The Masterpiece. Santino says that his WWE career has already begun with a bang, it will continue that way when he becomes the new Intercontinental Chmapion. Masters says that lighting doesn't strike twice, he'll crush this clown. Santino scores another shock upset to become the new IC champion.)

Marcus Cor Von (C) w/Tazz vs Balls Mahoney

(Mahoney wins a battle royal to become the #1 contender to the ECW Championship. Balls says he's on a mission to help restore ECW to the way it used to be, and that starts by taking the ECW title from this NFL washout. Tazz says that Balls is the dumbest guy he's ever met, he seriously thinks he has a shot at taking the ECW Title from The Alpha Male, Marcus Cor Von, he's gonna have to have intelligence beaten into him.)

(Edge cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase on The Undertaker on the 05/11/07 episode of Smackdown to become World Heavyweight Champion. The following week, Edge gloats about how he saw an opportunity to become World Heavyweight Champion and that he took it. Batista comes out and says that Edge isn't worthy of being World Heavyweight Championship and that he stole it, so he wants to take it from him. Edge says that Dave can use all the game genie codes for infinite title shots in the world, he will never get this belt back. Mark Henry interferes, causing a DQ.)

Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship

Umaga (C) vs Shawn Michaels

(HBK invokes his rematch clause against Umaga for one final showdown at Judgment Day, with Vince McMahon putting the 2 inside a Steel Cage. HBK says that this match may play to Umaga's strengths, thanks to his brutish nature is probably used to fighting in a space enclosed with 4 walls, but it doesn't matter to him, he's a man on a mission, he's gonna do everything in his power to ensure he becomes a 4-time WWE Champion at Judgment Day. Umaga simply wants to crush Shawn Michaels so he can move on to new challengers.)

(The team of Brian & Brett Major debut on the Smackdown after Wrestlemania and they go on an undefeated streak from the get-go. This leads them to them winning a #1 contenders tag team match over The Pitbulls to secure a shot at The Hardy Boyz' WWE Tag Team Championships. The Major Brothers say that they're on an upward trend that's leading them straight to the WWE Tag Team Championships, and they can't wait to embarrass Fat and Meth Hardy at Vengeance. The Hardy Boyz say these 2 arrogant punks need to be put in their place.)

(Heel vs Heel. Henry wins a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match over Batista, Kane, and Finlay to secure another shot at Edge's World Heavyweight Championship. In the leadup, Teddy Long knows Edge is gonna pull out any underhanded trick in the book to try and get out of defending the World Heavyweight Championship against The World's Strongest Man, so he makes the match a Steel Cage Match. Henry says that Edge is in for a world of pain come Vengeance when he's locked inside of a Steel Cage. Edge says that this big unintelligent neanderthal can't lace his boots, only 1 result is guaranteed, and still World Heavyweight Champion, Edge.)

Umaga (C) vs Carlito

(Following Umaga's successful title defense over Carlito at One Night Stand, the feud between The Samoan Bulldozer and The Son of Carlos Colon continues, as the 2 continuously have chaotic brawls week after week on Raw. This leads to Vince McMahon making a Last Man Standing Match between Umaga and Carlito for the WWE Championship at Vengeance. Carlito says that he's gonna make sure Umaga doesn't live to see another day after this match, he's gonna become the WWE Champion for the sake of himself and for the sake of his native Puerto Rico. Umaga just wants to destroy Carlito.)

(Rey Mysterio returns from injury on SmackDown and challenges Chavo to this match. Chavo accepts and promises to put Rey on the shelf again. Rey retires the Cruiserweight Championship 5 days later.

The Major Brothers (C) vs Matt Hardy and MVP

(Following his successful title defense at The Great American Bash, MVP decides he wants to become a double champion and begins going after the WWE Tag Team Championships. MVP approaches Teddy Long, saying that he can win the tag titles with literally anyone, so Teddy Long says that the next person that walks into the room will be his tag team partner. Matt Hardy (who is still feuding with MVP) walks in, and to both MVP and Matt's chagrin, they're made tag partners to challenge The Major Brothers for the tag titles. The rivals manage to co-exist and win the tag titles)

(After the fiasco that was Morrison causing a nonfinish at TGAB, a Triple Threat Match is set up between John, Marcus, and Punk. The now-renamed John Morrison says that ECW his place to rule, Cor Von had his time in the spotlight, and CM Punk ain't getting anywhere near this title either. Punk says that Johnny Boy doesn't have what it takes to represent The Land of Extreme well, that's his burden to carry. Tazz says that Cor Von will reclaim his championship at Summerslam.)

Kane says that Batista is wrong, and that the title means more to The Big Red Machine than anyone can know, because the title fuels him and he's going to keep it as long as possible.)

(After Umaga gets past Bobby Lashley at The Great American Bash, The Samoan Bulldozer moves on to an old foe, the man who he defeated to win his first WWE Championship, John Cena. Cena says that Umaga has had it all over him in the past, but that's in the past, he knows he has to stop dwelling on the past and dig deep, because he will pull off the herculean feat of becoming the first man to defeat Umaga, and he will walk out a 5-time WWE Champion. Umaga wants to destroy Cena once again. Cena wins after 2 Avalanche FU's to pin Umaga, ending The Smaoan Bulldozer's undefeated streak and becoming a 5-time WWE Champion.)
