Edge (C) w/Lita vs John Cena vs Shelton Benjamin
(Shelton Benjamin invokes his rematch clause after Summerslam, with John Cena winning a match over Randy Orton to get added to the match. In the build, Cena says that Edge has been a thorn in his side nearly all year and that he’s sick of the sight of him. Benjamin interrupts and says that he doesn't care about the year-long drama between Cena and Edge, but they're both in the way of him becoming a 2-time WWE Champion. Edge says that he talked to Vince, and the match is gonna be up his wheelhouse, it's not gonna be a normal triple threat match, it's gonna be a TLC Match! Cena wins hitting The AA on Edge off a ladder through 2 tables, with Benjamin stacked at the top, before unhooking the title to become a 4-time WWE Champion.)

(Batista wins a twenty man battle royal on SmackDown to become number one contender. In the build, Booker never faces The Animal fair and square, attacking him from behind and never entering the ring to face him. Batista calls Booker a coward and says he'll enjoy kicking his ass. In the match, Sharmell distracts the referee which allows Booker to hit Batista with the belt and get the win.)

In the build up, Booker says that it's his right to be World Champion and that Batista had his chance and blew it. The Animal says he'll do whatever it takes to get the title back. Sharmell tries to interfere again by climbing the cage, but Batista catapults Booker into the cage, knocking his wife to the floor, before landing a Batista Bomb to walk away as a two time World Champion.)

(Benjamin finally gets his 1-on-1 rematch for the title after winning a Fatal 5-Way over Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Randy Orton, and Edge. Benjamin says that he had to grind at Vengeance by winning 3 matches in 1 night to become WWE Champion, this time, it's only 1, he's gonna get past John Cena to become a 2-time WWE Champion. Cena says that Shelton is overmatched, he won't be able to rest the title away from The Leader of The Cenation.)

Tazz says that Cor Von is an Alpha Male, and he'll prove it when he becomes The Alpha Male of ECW when he wins The ECW Championship. RVD says that Tazz's lapdog is gonna be put in his place, courtesy of R-V-D! Thanks to interference from Tazz, Cor Von is able to shockingly defeat RVD after an Alpha Bomb, ending RVD's 173-day reign.)

(Following Cena getting past Shelton Benjamin at Survivor Series, The Face that runs The Place awaits his next challenger. The undefeated Umaga is the next one up after winning a 20-man battle royal to earn the challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship. Estrada says that Cena has never seen anything like The Samoan Bulldozer before, he's gonna run right through WWE's poster boy to become the new WWE Champion. Cena says that Umaga may be undefeated, but he doesn't have The Hustle, Loyalty, or Respect required to become WWE Champion. During the match, Umaga keeps on kicking out on every move Cena hits him with. Cena (Knowing one Samoan Spike from Umaga will put him away because of how tired he is) takes The Samoan Bulldozer outside and hits The FU through the announce table, but because of Cena's exhaustion, he collapses and is unable to make the count of 10, with the match ending in a Double Count-Out.)

(Dreamer finally gets his ECW title shot that he earned back at December to Dismember. Dreamer says that he wants to reclaim that ECW Championship, he's the heart and soul of ECW, and he wants to be the flag bearer for ECW, he deserves more than some Ex-Football Player. Tazz says Dreamer's mind is stuck in the past, he's not focusing on the present where he's going to be picked apart by Marcus Cor Von.)

(In the build up, The Undertaker attempts to play mindgames with Batista, but it doesn't work. The Animal says he does not fear 'Taker because he is just a man, and a man can be beaten.
