NXT Takeover: Dallas
Date: April 1st, 2016
Location: Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, Dallas, Texas
Card
NXT Tag Team Championships
The Revival (C) vs American Alpha
(Ever since forming the previous Summer, the duo of Jason Jordan and Chad Gable have beaten several NXT tag teams, including former NXT Tag-team Champions Blake and Murphy, and The Vaudevillians, who they beat to get this opportunity. Dash and Dawson say that they'll make quick work of the greenhorns.)
Austin Aries vs Baron Corbin
(The former TNA champ debuts in February, but his debut gets interrupted by Baron Corbin, who continues his habit of going after guys who were big names outside of WWE. Corbin asks Mr. Regal for a match with Aries, so he can end the cycle of indie guys coming in, so the homegrown talent can rise. This is Corbin's final match in NXT.)
Sami Zayn vs Shinsuke Nakamura
(After failing to become #1 contender to the NXT Championships, Sami Zayn asks William Regal to find a special opponent for him for Takeover: Dallas, so he can be on the card. Regal reveals his opponent will be NXT's latest signee, Shinsuke Nakamura (sidenote, Naka only uses Shadows of a Setting Sun in this booking, cause I'm probably the only person that likes that song over Rising Sun.) Same match as in real life, with this also being Sami's NXT farewell)
NXT Women's Championship
Bayley (C) vs Asuka (By technical submission)
(Since debuting in October, Asuka has gone on an undefeated streak, earning her a title match against Bayley. Bayley says Asuka is a dangerous competitor, but she doesn’t intimidate her and that she will stay at the top of the women’s division. Bayley passes out in the Asuka Lock as her 223-day reign comes to an end.)
No Disqualification Match for the NXT Championship
Finn Balor (C) vs Samoa Joe
(After coming up short at Takeover: London, Joe still isn't finished with Balor and wants a rematch. After a dusty finish to a #1 contender's triple threat match where both Joe and Sami Zayn tap out Corbin, this leads to a 2 out of 3 falls match between Joe and Zayn, which The Samoan Submission Machine walks out the victor. Balor requests for the match to be a No DQ match so The Demon will have no restrictions when facing Joe, but this proves to be his undoing, as Joe wins with a Musclebuster through a table, ending Balor's 272-day reign.)

Location: AT&T Stadium, Dallas, Texas
Card
Pre Show
12 Woman Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender to the newly introduced WWE Women's Championship
Becky Lynch wins by last eliminating Brie Bella
(Entrants are: Becky Lynch, Brie Bella, Paige, Natalya, Lana, Tamina, Summer Rae, Naomi, Alicia Fox, Emma, Dana Brooke, and Eva Marie)
Tables Match
The Dudley Boyz vs The Usos
(After losing an 8 man tag to the Wyatt Family on Smackdown, The Dudleyz turn heel on The Usos. Bubba and D-Von say that they paved the way for teams like The Usos, and they're ungrateful for that, so they challenge them to a Tables match at Mania, which Jimmy and Jey accept.)
Main Card
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Kevin Owens (C) vs Sami Zayn vs Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz
(Originally a match between KO and Sami, they both lose matches to Ziggler and The Miz on Raw, which is enough to get both men into the match to make it a Fatal 4-Way. Towards the end of the match, Sami nails Miz with a Heluva Kick, and as he's pinning Miz, Maryse runs out from the crowd and pulls the ref out of the ring, distracting Sami and giving Miz enough time to recover, who then low blows Sami and hits him with the Skull Crushing Finale to win his 3rd Intercontinental title)
AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho
(Following his heel turn at Fastlane, Chris Jericho comes out the next night on Raw, and says that all he see's in Styles is someone who had a similar career path as him, former world champ, was big in Japan, floundered in WCW, but that's where the similarities end. AJ then comes out and says he didn't spend all of those years in TNA and ROH for nothing, he was there so he could one day make it here, and challenges The Best in the World at what he does to a match at Wrestlemania.)
Street Fight for the WWE Tag Team Championships
The New Day (Xavier Woods and Big E) (C) w/Kofi Kingston vs The League of Nations (Sheamus and Rusev) w/Wade Barrett and Lana
(The League of Nations starts to make their rivalry with The New Day (who turn face as a result) personal when they break Woods' trombone over his back, leading to a Street Fight being made for the titles at Mania. Sheamus and Rusev turn on each other the next night on Raw.)
6-Man Ladder Match for the WWE United States Championship
Tyler Breeze (C) w/Fandango vs Cody Rhodes vs Zack Ryder vs Kofi Kingston vs Alberto Del Rio vs Cesaro
(Neville is originally supposed to be in this match, but is pulled after a knee injury, leading to a returning Cesaro stepping in. As for the actual story, Prince Pretty becomes extremely arrogant as US champ, saying he'll take on all comers at Mania, leading to Cody Rhodes, Neville (before he gets injured and subbed for Cesaro), Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, and Alberto Del Rio challenging him to put him in his place.)
Steel Cage Match for the revived WWE Women's Championship
Charlotte Flair w/Ric Flair vs Sasha Banks
(After Sasha earned the right to face her at Mania in her very first match back at Fastlane, Charlotte makes her feud with her fellow horsewoman very personal, bringing up how she became NXT women's champ in under 1 year on the roster, whilst she had to cling on to her to even get a title shot. Sasha says that Charlotte is only in the WWE out of nepotism, while she had to scratch and claw to even make it out of Boston. This personal blood feud gets made a steel cage match for the revived WWE Women's Championship. With Ric being unable to interfere due to the cage, Sasha wins with a frog splash off of the top of the cage, and then making Charlotte tap out to the Banks Statement.)
No Holds Barred Match
Bray Wyatt w/Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman
(This feud dates back to The Royal Rumble, when Brock Lesnar singlehandedly eliminated every member of The Wyatt Family. Bray Wyatt, in retaliation, then costed Brock the WWE Championship at Fastlane. Heyman says Brock will send Wyatt and his family to suplex city, and then on a bus ride back to whatever swamp they came from. Wyatt says that after he's done with Brock, all he'll be useful for is hunting in the Yukon.)
No Disqualification Match - if Triple H loses, The Authority must disband
Triple H w/Stephanie McMahon vs Shane McMahon
(The night after Fastlane, Stephanie McMahon prepares to receive the "Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence" Award when Shane McMahon makes his surprise return to WWE after 7 years away. Shane berates his sister for her cutthroat way of running Raw and Smackdown, and lays into Vince for naming himself CEO after Linda stepped down to run for senate. Shane says he wants to take control back, and run WWE the right way. Triple H then comes down and lays out The Omnishane with a pedigree, with Vince saying if Shane wants control back, he has to beat The Game at Wrestlemania, where if he wins, The Authority will dissolve.)
The Undertaker vs Sting
(Following their encounter at The Royal Rumble, Sting wants to finally settle the debate about who was the bigger dark lord of Wrestling between him and The Deadman. Taker says that Wrestlemania is his yard, and Sting won't be welcome, wishing he was still wrestling on Starrcade's. This is Sting's final match in WWE, as he announces his retirement the next night on Raw, before leaving the company in 2020 to go to AEW and come out of retirement, becoming the mentor of Darby Allin)
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Baron Corbin wins by last eliminating Kane
(Entrants are: Fandango, Damien Sandow, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Adam Rose, Heath Slater, Ryback, Konnor, Viktor, Sin Cara, Kalisto, Erick Rowan, Braun Strowman, Apollo Crews, Jack Swagger, Goldust, Darren Young, R-Truth, Tatanka, Diamond Dallas Page, Wade Barrett, Shaquille O’Neal, Big Show, Ryback, Mark Henry, Kane, and Baron Corbin)
WWE Championship
Roman Reigns (C) vs Dean Ambrose
(In the leadup, Dean says that Mania will be his corrination, after being considered "The Jannetty" of The Shield, he'll finally escape Roman's shadow and become the top guy. Roman starts to act a bit like The Tribal Chief, viciously attacking Ambrose on an episode of Smackdown, and saying that Dean may be his friend, but nothing is coming in the way of him and the WWE Championship, because he will prove he's The Greatest Champion of all time at Wrestlemania. Towards the end of the match, Roman accidentally spears the ref, which Dean tries to capitalize on, and hit Roman with Dirty Deeds, but Roman counters, pushing Ambrose back, rebounding off the ropes, and hitting him with a Spear. Roman then goes outside, grabs the WWE Championship, and gets into the ring. It looks like The Big Dog is gonna nail The Purveyor of Violence with the title, but he doesn't, as Ambrose rises to his feet, Roman throws the belt away. Roman goes to hit another Spear, but Dean has it scouted and counters it into a Dirty Deeds. Dean then hits one more Dirty Deeds, pins Roman, 1-2-3, Dean Ambrose is the new WWE Champion.)

The Vaudevillians vs Enzo & Cass (By referee stoppage)

Zack Ryder (C) vs Tyler Breeze w/Fandango

Ownes says he still hasn't forgiven Zayn for making it to WWE before did and wants to end his career. Sami wants to beat Kevin within an inch of his life.)
Singles Match to determine the #1 contender to the WWE United States Championship
Sheamus vs Rusev w/Lana
(The League of Nations implode. Rusev blames Sheamus for being a poor leader, never allowing the group to progress past the midcard. Sheamus says Rusev was dead weight, and he was better off without him. It's also heel vs heel.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (C) w/Maryse vs Cesaro
(Shortly after his return, The Swiss Superman begins feuding with The A-Lister. Miz says that Cesaro is too reckless of a wrestler, which is why he tore his rotator cuff and missed 5 months of action. Cesaro says Miz is a coward who hides between his wife, who won't be able to protect him at Payback.)
Bray Wyatt w/Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman vs AJ Styles
(After a tour of Suplex City at Wrestlemania courtesy of Brock Lesnar didn't go well, Bray Wyatt sets his sights on Aj Styles. The Eater of Worlds says that Aj is in a land where the big boys play, and mold him into one when he's by his side after he's done beating him. Aj says he'll be the light in the world of darkness Bray thinks he lives in. After the match, Bray, Braun, and Erick go to inflict further punishment on Aj, before 2 hooded men come out from the crowd, hitting Rowan with a Magic Killer. The 2 men take off their hoods to reveal their identities of The Machine Gun Karl Anderson, and a returning Luke Gallows. Aj and The Good Brothers then do a too sweet to oppose The Wyatt's.)
WWE Women's Championship
Sasha Banks (C) vs Becky Lynch (No Contest)
(Following Sasha winning the revived Women's title at Wrestlemania 32, she moves on to the #1 contender for her title, Becky Lynch, who won a Battle Royal on the Mania 32 pre-show to earn the right to be first in line for Sasha's title. In the leadup, Sasha says Becky has earned her respect after their encounter at Takeover: Unstoppable, but that doesn't mean Becky's gonna take away what she's worked her entire life for. Becky says Sasha had her moment at Wrestlemania, and it'll be her moment at payback. The match ends in a No Contest when Charlotte comes down and attacks both women.)
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship
Dean Ambrose (C) vs Roman Reigns vs Chris Jericho
(On the Raw after Mania, Chris Jericho becomes #1 contender to the WWE Championship after winning a Fatal 4-Way match over AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, and Cesaro. Roman also stays in the title hunt by invoking his rematch clause for Payback. Ambrose says he's a fighting champion and will take on all challengers, Roman says he's happy that Dean got his big moment, but he's gonna take back the WWE Championship. Jericho says that while these 2 are still fighting over Seth Rollins ending The Shield 2 years ago, he's gonna present the WWE with The Gift of Jericho, drink it in maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, by winning the WWE Championship.)

Steel Cage Match
Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn
(After both KO and Sami failed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Zayn makes a challenge for a Steel Cage Match against KO at Battleground, stating that he wants to finally rid himself of Owens once and for all. KO accepts, deludedly saying that he’ll decimate Zayn for everything he’s ever done to him and for betraying him time and time again. This is the final battle between these 2, whose blood feud has been the highlight of both NXT and the main roster over the past 18 months. Zayn wins after a Blue Thunder Bomb off the top of the cage and 2 Helluva Kicks)

Rusev (C) w/Lana vs Titus O'Neil
(Titus O’Neil begins a small winning streak, scoring shock victories over the likes of Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, and others so he challenges Rusev to this match. Rusev accepts and vows to halt Titus’s momentum. Titus still kisses his son on the lips before the match because it's funny XD.)
Submission Match for the WWE Women's Championship
Sasha Banks (C) vs Naomi
(Naomi earns a rematch against Sasha after pinning her in a Tag Team Match, with Stephanie McMahon making the match a Submission Match to determine who has the superior submission game. Naomi says she's sick and tired of all of these NXT call-ups coming to the main roster, and taking away prominent spots from veterans like her. Sasha says that if Naomi is sick of constantly coming up short against superior talent, maybe she should try and do something about it.)
The Highlight Reel with Randy Orton

Realising he’s outnumbered by the trio, John Cena decides to enlist some help from another team that is having problems of their own with The OC... Enzo Amore and Big Cass. 60-Minute Iron Man Match for the WWE Championship
Dean Ambrose (C) vs Seth Rollins (5-4)
(Seth wants one more match with his former Shield Brother, to prove he always was and still is not on the main event level. Ambrose is glad to give it to him, but goes to Shane McMahon so he can make it an Ironman Match. The 2 men go back and forth throughout the match, racking up falls over each other until the final 10 seconds, where they are tied 4-4. Rollins has Ambrose set up for The Curb Stomp (it isn't banned), only for Ambrose to counter with Dirty Deeds, and score the winning pin with 0:01 second remaining to retain his WWE Championship, taking the WWE Championship to Smackdown.)

Summerslam 2016
Date: August 21st, 2016
Location: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York
Card
Pre Show
8-Man Tag Team Match
The Usos & The Hype Bros vs Breezango & The Vaudevillians
(Four of Smackdown's top tag teams collide.)
Sami Zayn & Neville vs The Dudley Boyz
(This is the Dudleyz final match in WWE.)
Match 1 of a Best of 7 Series to determine the #1 contender to the revived World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus vs Cesaro (1-0)
(Raw GM Mick Foley makes a best of 7 series between these 2 former world champions because he sees them carrying Raw into the Brand Split 2.0 Era.)
Main Card
Enzo & Cass vs Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho
(Y2J and KO begin teaming together after Battleground, and start feuding with Enzo & Cass after Jericho and Charlotte beat Enzo Amore and Sasha in a Mixed tag team match while KO was on commentary. Enzo & Cass say that they'll get things done and embarrass their Canadian opponents, while JerriKO say they'll make quick work of these cocky rookies.)
WWE Women's Championship
Sasha Banks (C) vs Charlotte Flair w/Dana Brooke
(The Omniflair rekindles her feud with The Boss after both are drafted to Raw. Sasha says that Charlotte is the most overprivileged wrestler on the roster, and will be knocked down the totem pole at Summerslam. Charlotte says that Summerslam will be her time to once again become a champion.)
American Alpha vs The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt & Erick Rowan)
(Bray Wyatt begins targeting the new hotshot tag team on Smackdown in American Alpha. Wyat says that these 2 have a lot of potential, but if they don't tap into it and follow the buzzards, they aren't gonna hang with the wolves. Gable & Jordan simply want to make a name for themselves at the expense of a former WWE Champion.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (C) w/Maryse vs Dolph Ziggler
(Ziggler become the #1 contender to the IC title before Summerslam by winning a Triple Threat Match over Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio. Miz berates Ziggler for being a missed opportunity his whole career. DZ says Miz is too afraid to put up a fight when defending his title, always taking the easy way out, which won't be an option when they face off at Summerslam.)
AJ Styles vs John Cena
(With The Good Brothers now on Raw, AJ challenges Cena to a 1 on 1 match, even playing field. The Phenomenal One says that he knows he’s better than Cena and he’s going to prove it to the whole world Cena says that this match will be a grade A-burial of Styles' career. This is exactly the same match they had IRL, with AJ winning clean.)
WWE United States Championship
Rusev (C) w/Lana vs Roman Reigns
(on an episode of Raw, Roman Reigns (returning from his suspension for violating the wellness policy) interrupts Rusev and Lana's wedding celebration, leading to Rusev agreeing to put his US title on the line against The Big Dog to get payback.)
WWE Tag Team Championships
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) (C) vs The Good Brothers
(On an episode of Raw, The Good Brothers lose a match to the New Day by DQ after Anderson low blows Big E, and takes it one step further by pulling Big E into the ring post by his legs. No Old Day segment or comedic fake doctor vignettes either. The Machine Gun and The Big LG challenge Kofi and Woods to a match at Summerslam for the titles (where Jon Stewart makes no appearance), which The New Day accept in honor of their fallen friend. Gallows and Anderson win, ending The New Day's 448-day reign as champs.)
6-Woman Tag Team Match
Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Nikki Bella vs Alexa Bliss, Natalya, and Carmella
(The six women of Smackdown Live all want to prove that they are the best, so this match is made. Nikki Bella makes her return in this match.)
WWE Championship
Dean Ambrose (C) vs Baron Corbin
(The Lone Wolf wins a Fatal 5-Way #1 contenders match over John Cena, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, and Bray Wyatt to become the #1 contender to the WWE Championship. Corbin says him becoming WWE champion is inevitable, and not even Ambrose will put a halt to that. Dean says Corbin's someone who has a chip on his shoulder because of how hard he's had to work to make it to the main roster, but he's just not main event ready.)
Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman vs Randy Orton (By Referee Stoppage)
(Randy says he wanted his return match to be important, to have high stakes, even if it wasn't for a title. Heyman says that Brock doesn't care what Orton thinks, he's just another opponent for Brock, and another opponent who will be sent to Suplex City. Brock still wins by 12 to 6 elbow, but not as gruesomely as in real life.)
Singles Match for the revived World Heavyweight Championship
Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor
(Since Seth Rollins failed to bring the WWE Championship over to Raw, Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley decide to bring back the World Heavyweight Championship (no Jam belt). Rollins is handpicked by Stephanie McMahon to be in the match, while Balor wins back-to-back matches (a fatal 4-way over Cesaro, Rusev, and Kevin Owens, and then a singles match over Roman Reigns) to get into this match. Rollins calls Balor a lite version of himself, having accomplished several things that Seth did first, whilst also mocking Balor's alter ego, The Demon. Finn says Seth's gonna be made a believer when he squares off against the Demon. Finn wins, but unfortunately still gets injured, having to vacate the belt the next day. Kevin Owens wins the vacant title in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match on Raw the following week over Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Sami Zayn after Triple H betrays Seth Rollins.)
