WWE Summerslam August 23, 2009 Staples Center Los Angeles, CA
*Rey Mysterio d. John Morrison & The Miz by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title After both John Morrison and The Miz had failed to win the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio in separate matches, the two temporarily set aside their differences and reteamed to try and take out the US Champion in a triple threat match. However their truce didn't last long, as Morrison broke up a pinfall when Miz attempted to steal a victory from him. This led to the two fighting it out amongst themselves, before Mysterio was able to capitalize and take th advantage. In the end, Mysterio hit a 619 on both Miz and Morrison before hitting a Frogsplash on both men, pinning them both definitively to retain his title.
*Mark Henry d. Matt Hardy by Pinfall In a standard match, Mark Henry defeated Matt Hardy with little difficulty, pinning him after hitting the World's Strongest Slam.
*Wade Barrett d. Jack Swagger by Pinfall to Retain the ECW World Title After winning the ECW World Title in a Championship Scramble match the previous month, Wade Barrett defended the title against former champion Jack Swagger. The All-American American utilized more of a submission style than he had used in matches past, but was unable to match to brutish brawling of the British superstar. Barrett eventually hit the Bullhammer on Swagger to get the pin and pick up the victory.
*Shelton Benjamin d. Santino Marella by Pinfall Ever since his debut several years earlier, Santino Marella had been something of a joke in WWE, only winning a few matches. On an episode of Smackdown, he shocked many people by defeating former WWE Champion Shelton Benjamin in under three minutes. He then followed that upset up with another one on Raw the following week, pinning Benjamin in a tag match. The Gold Standard then viciously assaulted Santino, smashing his hand underneath steel steps and challenging him to a match at Summerslam. Marella fought valiantly, but was unable to match his recent success, falling victim to Benjamin's Paydirt finisher. After the match, Benjamin was about to attack Santino further, but was dirven off surprisingly by Vladimir Kozlov, who came to the Italian's aide.
*Natalya d. Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Maryse, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim, Michelle McCool & Mickie James in an 8 Diva Ladder Match to Win the Divas Championship After months of the Bella Twins using their unique brand of "twin magic" to keep the Divas Championship in their control, reinstalled Smackdown GM Theodore Long made an 8 Diva Ladder Match to ensure that there would be a certain winner. In the end, Natalya was able to overcome the odds and be the last woman standing, climbing the ladder to retrieve the Divas Title for her first championship in WWE.
*Jeri-Show [Chris Jericho & The Big Show] d. Cryme Tyme [JTG & Shad Gaspard] by Pinfall to Retain the WWE Tag Team Titles The newly formed super-team of Chris Jericho and The Big Show looked to dominate tag team competition in the WWE. Their first major challenge came in the form of former tag champions Cryme Tyme, who looked to overcome a recent spat of losses in order to get back into the tag team winner's circle. While they initially looked good during the match, and even had a moment where Shad Gaspard was able to slam The Big Show, a miscommunication caused Shad to drill JTG with a Drive By Lariat by mistake. Shad was then hit by the Codebreaker by Jericho, followed up with the Lionsault for the victory. After the match, Shad and JTG argued, as their frustrations continued to boil over.
*Christian d. Kofi Kingston by Pinfall to Win the Intercontinental Title The "friendship" between Kofi Kingston and Christian fell apart on an episode of Raw when Christian attacked Kingston during a championship celebration ceremony that Captain Charisma had arranged in the first place. Christian had said that Kingston lacked the killer instinct to be a true Intercontinental Champion, and couldn't do what needed to be done. Kingston fought an honorable match with Christian, hoping to prove Christian wrong. Near the end, the referee went down, and Kofi held the Intercontinental Title belt, looking to possibly use it as a weapon. Christian begged off, pleading with Kingston, and Kofi eventually shook his head and dropped the title belt. A brief skirmish then followed until Christian used a distraction to hit Kofi with a low blow and then deliver a Killswitch onto the title belt. He then pinned Kofi as the ref came too, winning the title.
*John Cena & D-Generation X [Triple H & Shawn Michaels] d. The Commonwealth [William Regal, Drew McIntyre & Sheamus] & Legacy [Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr] in a Winner Take All Trios Match. Cena Wins the WWE Title and DX wins the World Tag Team Titles. Raw General Manager and WWE Champion William Regal had initially said he wouldn't defend the WWE Title at Summerslam, but was overruled by Mr. McMahon, who arrived on Raw and officially relieved Regal of his duties as general manager. Elevating ECW executive John Laurinitis to the role of Raw GM, Johnny Ace announced that at Summerslam there would be a Winner Take All triple threat trios match, with The Commonwealth defending both the WWE Title and the World Tag Team Titles against Legacy and the makeshift trio of John Cena and a reunited D-Generation X, as Shawn Michaels returned for the first time since Wrestlemania. All 9 men fought in a hard to follow donnybrook, that eventually saw Legacy inadvertantly take themselves out of the match when Cody Rhodes missed a dive to the outside that took out DiBiase and Orton. In the ring, Triple H hit McIntyre with a Pedigree while Cena locked Regal in the STF, getting a tap out victory and giving Cena the WWE Title while making DX tag team champions for the first time in their career.
*CM Punk d. Jeff Hardy in a TLC Match to Win the World Heavyweight Championship Despite regaining the World Heavyweight Championship the previous month, Jeff Hardy had been prevented from taking physical custody of the belt by CM Punk's hired goons, who were revealed to be Luke Gallows (the former Doc Gallows of The New Freebirds) and former tag team champion Joey Mercury, who followed Punk as members of the Straight Edge Society. Punk had kept the world title belt, eventually being forced to put it on the line in a TLC match by Smackdown GM Theodore Long. Both Hardy and Punk had a highly competitive TLC match that saw Hardy have a chance to win, only to instead perform a Swanton off a ladder from inside the ring through a table onto the prone Punk, taking both men out. Punk was eventually helped to his feet by Gallows and Mercury, and barely was able to retrieve the World Title belt to once again become World Champion. After the match though, the lights went out, and the shrill voice of Paul Bearer filled the arena as he yelled out "He's Back." Fire erupted from the entryway as a masked Kane suddenly appeared. Kane caused fire to erupt from the corner posts and then caused the ring to implode, sending the Straight Edge Society scattering as the show came off the air.

WWE Breaking Point September 13, 2009 Bell Centre Montreal, Quebec, Canada
*Mark Henry d. Evan Bourne by Pinfall In a standard match, the World's Strongest Man was able to continue his run of dominance, grounding the high flyer Evan Bourne and pinning him with the World's Strongest Slam. After the match, Henry pointed to around his waist, signifying he was looking for championship gold once again.
*The Straight Edge Society [Luke Gallows & Joey Mercury] w/Serena d. The Hart Dynasty [Tyson Kidd & DH Smith] w/Natalya by Pinfall The duo of Luke Gallows and Joey Mercury had debuted as CM Punk's disciples, the Straight Edge Society, helping the Straight Edge Superstar win and retain the World Heavyweight Championship. After adding a female disciple to their ranks in the form of Serena, the duo sought to begin their own tag team ascension by taking on The Hart Dynasty. The former champions put up a good fight, but eventually fell to Gallows hitting a chokeslam on Kidd off the top rope for a victory.
*Ezekiel Jackson d. Wade Barrett by Disqualification [Barrett Retains the ECW World Title] Ezekiel Jackson won a battle royal on an episode of ECW to become the new #1 contender to the ECW World Title. The dominant Wade Barrett met his match in the muscular Jackson, and it appeared as if Ezekiel would do what no one else had done in ECW and pin the Bullhammer. However, with his championship in jeopardy, Barrett deliberately kicked Jackson below the belt, sacrificing the DQ loss to keep his title in tact. After the match, Barrett hit the Bullhammer on the prone Jackson to knock him out.
*Rey Mysterio d. William Regal w/Sheamus & Drew McIntyre by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title After losing the WWE Championship at Summerslam, William Regal was desperate to reassert his position of dominance over the Commonwealth by becoming a champion again. Regal targeted United States champion Rey Mysterio, rekindling an old rivalry from his WCW days. While Regal used every dirty trick in his bag to try and take down the luchadore, Mysterio was able to pull out another victory as Champion, hitting the West Coast Pop for the win.
*Legacy [Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr.] d. D-Generation X [Triple H & Shawn Michaels] by Pinfall to Win the World Tag Team Titles After failing to win the trios match at Summerslam, Legacy had earned individual matches for their respective titles at Breaking Point. Rhodes and DiBiase took advantage of a knee injury that Shawn Michaels had seemingly received early on in the match, working over his leg in an effort to get a submission victory. Triple H eventually got the hot tag and cleaned house, only to be attacked from behind by DiBiase with a tag title belt behind the referee's back. DiBiase then hit Triple H with Dream Street and picked up the pin to regain the World Tag Team Titles for Legacy.
*Christian d. Kofi Kingston by Disqualification to Retain the Intercontinental Title After their Summerslam match, the feud between Kofi Kingston and Christian had continued, with Kingston cashing in his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship. While Kingston had been unwilling to engage in short cuts to retain his title the previous month, Christian had no such compunctions, getting himself intentionally disqualified early on to retain the title.
*Randy Orton d. John Cena Wrestled to a No Contest [Cena Retains the WWE Title] The match between Randy Orton and John Cena wound up being a no contest after about 5 minutes, when both men were suddenly and violently attacked by The World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Henry laid waste to both champion and challenger, delivering a Vader-Bomb to Orton and then the World's Strongest Slam to Cena through an announce table. Henry then posed with the WWE Championship, making it clear he was gunning for the title.
*CM Punk d. Kane w/Paul Bearer by Pinfall to Retain the World Heavyweight Title Kane's surprising return as the Masked Demon Kane, alongside his old manager Paul Bearer, had set CM Punk running whenever the Big Red Machine turned up. Kane had destroyed both Mercury and Gallows at various points in the build to their title match. Kane similarly dominated Punk during the course of the match, but the wily champion was able to target Paul Bearer briefly to gain the upper hand for a brief time off the distraction to Kane. Kane however quickly rebounded and signaled that he would end Punk with a Tombstone, when the Straight Edge Society came out to attack Kane. The Big Red Machine took old Gallows and Mercury, before setting up Punk (who tried to hit Kane with the title belt) for a Chokeslam, with Punk's flailing arms inadvertantly taking out the referee. As Kane got a visible pin on the champion, a third member of the Society dressed in a mask (later revealed to be WWE development prospect Ryan Reeves) came out of the crowd with a 2x4 and drilled Kane in the back of the head with it, before delivering a huge Samoan drop on the demon. Punk then rolled over for the weak cover and garnered the victory, scurrying out of the ring before Kane could come to and exact some vengeance on the Society.

WWE Hell in a Cell October 4, 2009 Prudential Center Newark, NJ
*D-Generation X [Shawn Michaels & Triple H] d. Legacy [Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr.] by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match to Win the World Tag Team Titles After losing the World Tag Team Titles to Legacy at Breaking Point, D-Generation X attempted to regain them in a rare tag team Hell in a Cell match. Rhodes and DiBiase actually controlled much of the match, with Rhodes in particular able to hold his own against both Michaels and Triple H. In the end though, DiBiase tried to use a steel chair to knock out Triple H, only to eat a Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels that knocked the chair into his face, knocking him out cold. Triple H and Michaels then double teamed Rhodes, with Triple H hitting the Pedigree to pick up the win and regain the tag titles.
*Jack Swagger d. R-Truth by Submission Former ECW Champion Jack Swagger continued his winning streak since leaving ECW for the main roster, facing former US Champion R-Truth. Despite the former champion putting up a good showing, Swagger was able to defeat him via submission, using an Ankle Lock for his new finisher.
*Maryse d. Alicia Fox by Pinfall to Retain the Divas Championship Maryse had won the Divas Title the night after Breaking Point, beginning her second run with the belt. On the same episode of Raw, Alicia Fox had won a Five-Way Challenge to become the new #1 contender for the belt, denying Natalya the chance to try and regain her title. However, Natalya would be named the Special Guest Referee for this match, and she was less than impartial, allowing Fox to nearly become champion purely through her actions. Eventually though Natalya reluctantly counted a three count when she hit Fox with the French Kiss DDT for the win.
*Kofi Kingston d. Christian in a Ladder Match to Win the Intercontinental Title The feud between Kofi Kingston and Christian reached its finale as Kingston challenged Captain Charisma to a ladder match for the Intercontinental Title, surmising that Christian wouldn't be able to cheat his way out of defending the title this time. The match was filled with dozens of high spots, including Christian delivering a reverse DDT off the ladders, and Kofi Jumping from the top rope to nail Christian with a Trouble in Paradise in midair, knocking him down off a ladder. In the end, Kingston and Christian fought on top of the ladder, with Kingston finally managing to knock Christian off to the ring below. Kofi then grabbed the Intercontinental Title to regain the championship.
*Jeri-Show [Chris Jericho & The Big Show] d. Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov by Pinfall to Retain the WWE Tag Team Titles The unlikely duo of Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov had been surprisingly effective since their pairing shortly after Summerslam, going on a tag team winning streak that included an upset victory over the WWE Tag Champions on an episode of Smackdown, leading to this title match at Hell in a Cell. Despite this loss, the champions didn't seem to take the challengers too seriously, much to their detriment as Kozlov nearly locked Big Show in his Rear Naked Choke and almost knocked him out. Jericho was able to save his partner though, hitting Kozlov in the back with a title belt as the referee was distracted by Santino, who tried to get involved to stop Jericho. Marella eventually made the hot tag and cleaned house, getting Jericho down numerous times and setting up for a huge victory with his Cobra Strike finisher. However, Santino wandered to far into the Big Show's corner and ate a Right Hand of Doom from Big Show that knocked out the Milan Miracle Man. Jericho then hit the Lionsault as Big Show took Kozlov out of the equation, with the champions retaining in a surprisingly tough match.
*Batista d. Sheamus w/William Regal & Drew McIntyre by Pinfall in a Non-Title Match The Animal Batista had made his return to WWE television following his lengthy injury recovery, immediately issuing an open challenge to any champion on the roster. The challenge was answered by United States Champion Sheamus (which, Batista refused to fight for that championship, saying he only wanted a world title). To the surprise of everyone, it appeared that Sheamus would pull off one of the biggest upsets in WWE history, as he set up the Animal for a Brogue Kick. However, William Regal got on the apron, ostensibly to cheer on his protege, distracting him from the task at hand. This momentary distraction allowed Batista to duck the Brogue Kick and hit a spinebuster, before following up with a Batista Bomb for the win. After the match, both McIntyre and Regal attacked Sheamus, ostensibly out of jealousy.
*John Cena d. Randy Orton & Mark Henry by Pinfall to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship After The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry had interfered in their World Title match the previous month, the three men faced off in a championship triple threat match. Henry had dominated both men in singles matches leading into Hell in a Cell, seemingly making him the favorite for the match. Orton and Cena were actually forced to team up to stay alive and take out Henry, before focusing on each other. The World's Strongest Man didn't stay down for long, before finally being taken out by a combination back suplex and RKO through an announce table. Orton and Cena then fought their own match, which saw Cody Rhodes come down and attempt to help Orton. Rhodes was intercepted by a revived Mark Henry, who delivered a World's Strongest Slam to Rhodes through the other announce table, with the distraction giving Cena the chance to hit the FU for the victory.
*CM Punk w/The Straight Edge Society d. Kane w/Paul Bearer by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship Kane challenged CM Punk to put the World Heavyweight Title on the line in a second match, which was agreed to by Smackdown GM Theodore Long. After Kane defeated Luke Gallows in a match on Smackdown, he got to determine the stipulation of the match, locking the Straight Edge Superstar and the Devil's Favorite Demon inside Hell in a Cell. Punk did his best to avoid direct confrontation with Kane, but couldn't avoid it for long as they were locked in the cell. This changed when Gallows and Reeves came from the back and went after Paul Bearer, which caused Kane to rip the door to the cell off its hinges to get at the Society. Punk then tried to run, climbing up the Cell to escape Kane. Kane climbed up after him and eventually chokeslammed Punk onto the steel cage roof, causing it to buckle. Punk then rolled back into the ring with Kane climbing down after him. But Kane was intercepted by Ryan Reeves, who hit a modified fisherman buster on the Big Red Machine onto a steel chair that had been introduced into the ring earlier. He then rolled Punk onto Kane, which gave the Straight Edge Superstar another lucky win over the Big Red Machine.

Note: Instead of Bragging Rights (due to the fact that the original brand split is winding down in this world), Halloween Havoc makes its return for this year.WWE Halloween Havoc October 25, 2009 Mellon Arena Pittsburgh, PA
*The Miz d. Kofi Kingston by Pinfall to Win the Intercontinental Title After regaining the Intercontinental Title from Christian at Hell in a Cell, Kofi Kingston wasted no time in resuming his title defenses, putting the gold on the line against The Miz. Kofi appeared headed for victory early on, hitting the SOS on The Miz for the near fall. However Miz used a momentarily distracted ref to kick Kofi below the belt and take control of the match. Miz was confronted by his old tag partner John Morrison, which allowed Kofi to come back. But Morrison inadvertantly hit Kingston on an attempt at interference, allowing Miz to hit the Skull Crushing Finale and pick up the surprise win, becoming Intercontinental Champion for the first time.
*Jack Swagger d. Montel Vontavious Porter by Submission Jack Swagger had entered a feud with former World Heavyweight Champion MVP, putting his undefeated streak on the line since joining the main WWE roster. MVP promised to get back to his winning ways by taking out Swagger, only to be dominated by the All-American American. Swagger hit his gutwrench powerbomb on MVP which would have gotten him the win, only to intentionally pick MVP up off the mat at 2. He then locked in an Ankle Lock to get the submission victory.
*Wade Barrett & The Usos [Jimmy & Jey Uso] d. Ezekiel Jackson & The Colons [Carlito & Primo] w/Rosa Mendes by Pinfall The ECW World Champion teamed with the ECW Tag Team Champions in this six man tag, taking on his rival Ezekiel Jackson as well as former tag team champions the Colons. The match largely centered around the interactions between Jackson and Barrett, as Jackson almost became the first man to pin Barrett's shoulders to the mat on numerous occasions. However, Barrett and the Usos bounced back, with Barrett hitting a Bullhammer on Carlito after the Caribbean star took a double superkick from the Usos to pick up the win.
*Dolph Ziggler & Shad Gaspard d. Rey Mysterio & JTG by Pinfall The team of Cryme Tyme had disintegrated since Summerslam, with Shad Gaspard turning on JTG and brazenly attacking him after 1 too many losses. The two men found new tag partners in Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio respectively, as the Show Off and the Luchadore had traded wins on back to back episodes of Smackdown. In the end, Ziggler was able to hit the Zig Zag on JTG to pick up the victory.
*Sheamus d. Drew McIntyre w/William Regal by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title After the Commonwealth had turned on The Celtic Warrior Sheamus out of jealousy over his individual success, William Regal pushed for his protege Drew McIntyre to win the United States title from Sheamus at Halloween Havoc. The Scottish Psychopath seemingly knew all of Sheamus' tricks and had William Regal in his corner. Sheamus though was able to overcome this handicap, ducking out of McIntyre's attempt at the Futureshock DDT and then hitting him with a Celtic Cross to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match though, Sheamus was attacked by Regal again, who laid him out with the Power of the Punch.
*Mickie James d. Maryse & Gail Kim by Pinfall to Win the Divas Championship Divas Champion Maryse took on two former champions, each of whom had won countout victories over the champion in recent weeks, leading to this triple threat title match. Maryse tried to stay out of the fray and pick her spots as Kim and James fought between themselves. The two rivals had exhausted each other to the point where Maryse looked to finish off Kim with her French Kiss DDT, only to eat a Mick Kick suddenly after delivering the move, allowing James to pick up the win and regain the Divas Title.
*D-Generation X [Shawn Michaels & Triple H] d. Legacy [Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr.] in a 3-2 Elimination Handicap Match to Retain the World Tag Team Titles Tensions seemed to be building within the group Legacy, as they has recently failed in their attempts to either regain or keep their respective championships. DiBiase and Rhodes, by virtue of being champions before, had a guaranteed rematch with World Tag Team Champions D-Generation X, however Legacy leader Randy Orton inserted himself into the match, making it a 3 on 2 handicap match. While this ostensibly gave Legacy the advantage, DX was able to power through and use miscommunication between the members of Legacy, as Rhodes attempted to blind Triple H with chalk powder, only to hit Orton instead. Orton then accidentally hit DiBiase with an RKO, taking him out, as Michaels hit Rhodes with Sweet Chin Music to pick up the pinfall and retain the titles.
*John Cena d. Mark Henry in a Last Man Standing Match to Retain the WWE Championship After not being pinned the previous month, Mark Henry made it clear that he alone would be the #1 contender for the WWE Championship, challenging John Cena to a Last Man Standing match. Cena was coming into the match hurt, having been attacked by the World's Strongest Man and having his ribs injured in the process. Cena was able to power through though and in an amazing display of strength, was able to lift Henry onto his shoulders on the outside and deliver an FU from the stage through a table at the entryway. This knocked out Henry for the ten count, giving Cena the hard earned win.
*The Undertaker d. CM Punk, Batista & Christian to Win the World Heavyweight Championship The Straight Edge World Heavyweight Champion found himself besieged on all sides by challengers, as both Batista, Christian and Kane all had claims to being the #1 contender to his title. Things were complicated after Kane was seemingly taken out of the equation by the Straight Edge Society, only to have The Undertaker return and insert himself into the main event equation instead. The free for all nature of the Fatal Fourway would prove to be the deciding factor, as with Batista and CM Punk distracted on the outside, Undertaker was able to hit Christian with a Tombstone Piledriver and pick up the win that way, regaining the World Heavyweight Championship to the delight of the fans to close the show.

The Colons and The Dudebusters began the match, with Carlito pulling out a victory. The Colons then survived Los Diablos del Corazon before falling to the surprise entrant of ECW World Tag Team Champions, The Usos. The Usos held their own against The Hart Dynasty, scoring a near upset of former champions with a double superkick to Tyson Kidd, only to eventually be pinned by Smith following a running powerslam. *Sheamus d. William Regal by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title Since his arrival to the main roster, Sheamus had been associated with William Regal, helping the former Raw General Manager win the WWE Championship earlier in the year as a member of the Commonwealth. After Regal's success had waned (while Sheamus' had grown by winning the United States Title), Regal and his other protege Drew McIntyre had grown jealous of the Irishman and kicked him to the curb, setting up Regal facing his former right hand man for the US Title. While Regal used every underhanded trick in the book to try and get the upper hand, in the end Sheamus' power was too much to overcome and he finished off the Gentleman Villain with a Brogue Kick to retain his title.

*John Cena d. Randy Orton & Cody Rhodes w/Ted DiBiase by Submission to Retain the WWE Championship John Cena's continuing feud with Randy Orton and Legacy spilled into Survivor Series, when Raw GM John Laurinitis made a match between Orton and Cena with one of Orton's Legacy teammates joining him ostensibly in a triple threat match, putting Cena behind the 8-Ball as it were. However, Orton and Cody Rhodes began arguing amongst themselves, especially when Rhodes attempted to pin Cena to become WWE Champion himself in defiance of Orton's instructions. Their disillusion allowed Cena to sneak in and pick his spots, getting Rhodes to submit to the STF to retain the title.
*D-Generation X [Triple H & Shawn Michaels] d. The Brothers of Destruction [Kane & The Undertaker] w/Paul Bearer in a Title Unification Match for the World Tag Team and WWE Tag Team Titles A big match was negotiated between the general managers of Smackdown and Raw to unify the two tag team championships in the WWE (ostensibly signaling the end of the first brand split, despite each show still having its own general manager.) D-Generation X and The Brothers of Destruction fought each other for the first time ever as tag teams, with each man hitting their respective signature moves at various points. In the end it was DX that pulled off the victory, with Shawn Michaels getting some measure of revenge for Wrestlemania 25 by pinning Undertaker after hitting him with Sweet Chin Music, becoming the first Undisputed WWE World Tag Team Champions in the process.

WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs December 13, 2009 AT&T Center San Antonio, TX
*Wade Barrett d. Yoshi Tatsu by Pinfall to Retain the ECW World Championship Former ECW Tag Team Champion Yoshi Tatsu had won a Battle Royal on an episode of ECW to become the latest man to try and stop Wade Barrett's run of dominance. While Tatsu did much better than anyone expected, even nearly getting a pinfall on Barrett following a flurry of offense, Barrett eventually put down Tatsu with the Bullhammer followed by the Wasteland for a victory.
*Kane w/Paul Bearer d. Ryan Reeves w/Serena in a Tables Match The feud between Kane and the Straight Edge Society had largely been a side effect from Kane's failed attempts to capture the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk earlier in the year. Ryan Reeves had debuted as a member of the Society in October and had made life difficult for the Big Red Machine since, setting up this one on one encounter in a Tables Match. While the surprisingly strong Reeves was able to muscle Kane around the ring, Kane was able to chokeslam Reeves through a table on the outside to pick up the victory.
*The Miz d. John Morrison & Kofi Kingston by Pinfall in a Chairs Match to Retain the Intercontinental Title This match was initially going to be the culmination of the feud between former tag partners John Morrison and The Miz, with the Intercontinental Title on the line. The match was made a triple threat after Kofi Kingston defeated Morrison on an episode of Raw (with unknowing assistance from The Miz), leading to Miz "suggesting" the match be made a triple threat, giving him some room to avoid direct confrontation with his former partner. This nearly backfired on the champion, as Kingston and Morrison teamed up on the champion before turning on each other. With the use of steel chairs legal, Kofi nearly scored the pinfall after hitting a Trouble in Paradise to Morrison with a steel chair to the face. However Miz then snuck from behind and delivered a Skull Crushing Finale onto a steel chair to pick up the win and retain his title.
*Dolph Ziggler d. Sheamus by Pinfall to Win the United States Title Sheamus had been on a roll since winning the United States Championship several months earlier, and looked to continue this domination over former champion Dolph Ziggler. However Dolph had an ace up his sleeve in former Smackdown General Manager turned "Cougar Manager" Vickie Guerrero, who distracted Sheamus when he was getting ready to set up for the Brogue Kick. When the referee went over to check on Guerrero after Sheamus attempted to shove her off the ring apron, William Regal came out of the crowd and attacked his former protege, taking him out with the Power of the Punch. This allowed Dolph to make the cover and score the huge upset to regain the US Title.
*The Undertaker d. CM Punk in a TLC Match to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship CM Punk had earned a World Heavyweight Championship match against The Undertaker by way of his team winning at Survivor Series, leading to a TLC match to the man who won the title from him (without pinning him) at Halloween Havoc. Punk attempted to use the Straight Edge Society to soften up the Phenom in the build to the match, and Gallows attacked the Undertaker on the rampway as he made his entrance. However Gallows and Mercury were eventually chased off by Rey Mysterio (who had also started a feud with Punk in the weeks since Survivor Series), allowing the match to proceed as a one on one affair. Punk used all three weapons at his disposal to try and regain his title, but the Undertaker was relentless, eventually hitting a Last Ride off the top of a Ladder through a table, knocking Punk out. Undertaker then climbed the same ladder and retrieved his world title to retain the championship.
*Batista d. Mark Henry by Pinfall The previous month at Survivor Series, Batista and Mark Henry had engaged in a brawl on the outside that had gotten both men counted out early on in their match (and had largely cost The Animal a chance at the World Heavyweight Championship.) This led to a confrontation between the two hosses in a standard match. Henry used his strength in the early going to keep Batista on the mat in a slow match, but Batista was eventually able to shock everyone by lifting the 400 pounder for a Batista Bomb and picking up the (literal) huge win.
*D-Generation X [Shawn Michaels & Triple H] d. Jeri-Show [Chris Jericho & The Big Show] by Disqualification to Retain the WWE World Tag Team Titles Jeri-Show attempted to regain tag team gold against D-Generation X, after they had won a tag team gauntlet match the previous month at Survivor Series. DX, specifically Shawn Michaels, was preoccupied with other ideas, as Michaels had gotten the idea of challenging The Undertaker for a rematch at Wrestlemania 26, wanting to be the man who broke the Undertaker's undefeated streak. This pre-occupation had led to some tension between The Game and HBK, and was nearly exploited by Jericho and Big Show who got several near falls. As Triple H made a comeback though to save Michaels, Jericho decided to take the easy way out and attacked both men with a steel chair, resulting in a DQ victory for DX but allowing Jeri-Show to stand tall.
*John Cena d. Randy Orton in a 3 Stages of Hell Match to Retain the WWE Championship Raw General Manager John Laurinitis had ordered a rematch of sorts between Randy Orton and John Cena for the WWE Title, this time making it a special 3 Stages of Hell match with each stipulation being based around the three weapons of the TLC pay per view. Prior to the match, Orton made clear to his Legacy teammates not to get involved "unless they could do it right." The first match was a No DQ Chairs match, which Orton won with an RKO onto a Steel Chair out of nowhere. Cena was able to even the score with an FU off the top rope through a nearby table to get the second fall. Just prior to the third fall, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr came to ringside and attacked Cena, seemingly setting the stage for Orton to have an easy win in the third and final ladder match fall. However Cena battled back and took out both DiBiase and Rhodes, catching Orton as he struggled up the ladder for the title belt. As the two men battled back and forth, DiBiase dropkicked the ladder, causing it to tumble over, ostensibly to take out both Cena and Orton. However Cena was able to fall on to DiBiase, softening his landing, while Orton was sent careening into several stacked tables on the outside. After hitting an FU on DiBiase, Cena then reset the ladder and climbed up to retrieve his title.
