So for those of you that have seen my last AJPW written diary you'd have noticed it's extremely rushed, theres a lack of actual storyline and just a lot of overall criticisms about it. So this diary is me going back to 1992 and redoing the save and just doing it properly. So the save will start with the 20th anniversary special and the 20th anniversary giant series tour or the October giant series tour. I hope you will all enjoy 😁😁😁

AJPW 20th Anniversary Special!!!We had three major matches on this show, we had 2 No.1 contender's matches as Akira Taue faced off against Toshiaki Kawada with the winner being Mitsuharu Misawa's first title defence and Hansen & Spivey going against The Funks with the winners earning a shot at the AJPW Unified World Tag Team Titles, and a grudge match showing Misawa & Kobashi against Jumbo & Fuchi In the No.1 Contender's match for the Tag titles I gave the win to Hansen & Spivey, It was a tough call as Dory and Terry are both massive assets here having signed Dory at the start of the save along with Malenko, Albright, Dynamite Kid, Smiley & Regal, I just thought the idea of Hansen vs Jumbo again even if it is just in the tag setting would be a great call back to their feud in the late 80s. Stan Hansen getting a 100 rating showed me I probably went the right way with it. The fact Terry and Dory are still hitting the low 80s and high 70s at their advanced ages shows just how good those 2 are though As everyone knows far too well, In October 1992 Jumbo Tsuruta would contract Hepatitis C, effectively ending his solo run there and then, So I had him take the loss here directly to Misawa as since Baba didn't have Jumbo lose the belt to Misawa (Like what should have happened) there was no passing the torch moment and since I plan to send him away for a year after this tour in accordance with real life I'm simply trying to milk his pop as much as humanly possible whilst I can, Misawa is on 85 pop after I buffed it since 80 pop is a bit low imo whilst Jumbo is on 90 with the only other person that high being Stan Hansen, Even though it's unrealistic for Jumbo to lose in a multi man match you can at least see why I made that choice The main event was the No.1 Contenders match for the Triple Crown Championship, I gave the win to Kawada earning himself a match against Misawa at the end of the Giant Series tour as this is what Baba did irl and realistically I'm not sure if there would be a better option for a first defense, Toshiaki Kawada is a well known name with the reputation needed to prove an actual challenge to Misawa without wasting a Stan Hansen or a Terry Funk on the first defense, Hell I might even give Kawada the win for the shock value, Kawada vs Misawa is pretty much the perfect main event for the first tour of the save though so yeah, that's why I gave the win to Kawada instead of Taue who isn't really an established singles star yet despite being on that path Planned Show:So the planned final show of the tour is as listed Main Event: Toshiaki Kawada vs Mitsuharu Misawa (c) for the Triple Crown Main Show: Hansen & Spivey vs Jumbo & Taue (c) for the Tag Titles Dean Malenko vs Masanobu Fuchi (c) for the Jr title Andre & Baba vs The Funks Jun Akiyama vs Kenta Kobashi Gary Albright vs Yoshinari Ogawa British Combat Club vs Miracle Violence Connection Mighty & Masao Inoue vs The British Bruisers Pre Show: Richard Slinger vs Satoru Asako Jun Izumida vs Haruka Eigen The Fantastics vs The Armstrongs (Brad & Scott) So it's a simple show planned out, Just following the basic early 90s puroresu mindset for this show with the only thing missing being a trios match. The preshow matches are just there for exposure for some of those wrestlers such as Richard Slinger and Brad Armstrong, The opener is probably going to be BCC vs Miracle Violence Connection or Malenko vs Fuchi over Mighty & Masao Inoue against The British Bruisers as I feel like the Inoues vs Bruisers will be disappointing in rating, Jun Akiyama made his irl debut at this show against Kenta Kobashi and it was the most anticipated young lion debut in years and it was done perfectly if I'm honest so I dont think that should change. This is going to be my only tour with Andre as his stats are very shit and this was his last tour with the company before his death anyways, him & Baba going against the Funks just screams early 80s Japan and I feel like it would be a lot of fun, The title matches are self explanatory for the most part. Fuchi vs Malenko is going to be set up through a No.1 contenders match between Malenko and Ogawa during the tour with the other challengers having been determined already. This show doesn't really have many storylines being pushed so I'm simply going to use the shows leading to it for exposure for the less popular wrestlers and to experiment a little bit 20th Anniversary Giant Series #120th Anniversary Giant Series #220th Anniversary Giant Series #320th Anniversary Giant Series #420th Anniversary Giant Series #520th Anniversary Giant Series FinaleIn the final show we were missing the British Combat Club vs Miracle Violence Connection match as Norman Smiley was working a show for CMLL, Other than that the planned show went ahead simply with one of the pre-show matches being promoted to the main show, Dean Malenko ended Masanobu Fuchi's almost 1000 days reign with the Jr title in what was a technical masterclass, He got the win via submission making Fuchi tap out to the Texas Cloverleaf, Gary Albright obliterated Yoshinari Ogawa with suplex after suplex and just overall making the rat boy question his life choices, He got the win via a belly to belly suplex after 12 minutes, In Jun Akiyama's debut he lost to Kenta Kobashi after 15 minutes but still put up a fight, Andre said farewell to AJPW in the next match as he and Baba defeated the Funks in what was a match of the past, He got the win with a double underhook suplex after 10 minutes, Jumbo & Taue went to war with Hansen & Spivey over the tag titles, Hansen & Spivey is a great team and realistically they deserve a tag title run in the future but since the winners would have to vacate the titles for the tag league it felt wrong to give them the win so I had Jumbo pin Spivey for the win with a backdrop suplex, and in the Main Event, it was Brother against Brother as the head of the Super Generation Army in Mitsuharu Misawa defended his Triple Crown title against his first lieutenant in Toshiaki Kawada, Misawa pinned Kawada after 34 minutes with a Tiger Driver '91, Misawa is going to be taking the mantle of face of the company in the absence of Jumbo Tsuruta so having him lose the title was just out of the picture no matter who he was facing. In real life he was champ for 705 days during this reign, There's no guarantee it'll go that long but it will definitely be a dominant reign for Misawa Next up is the Real World Tag League, It'll definitely take a while to book since most round robin tournaments can be hell but it'll be good
