ECW begins from Lafayette, Louisiana. After the opening video rolls and Joey Styles and Tazz welcome us to the program, the new General Manager of ECW is announced.

OH MY GODDDDD IT'S MICK FOLEY!

Mick Foley has become the new General Manager of ECW! Styles and Tazz go nuts!

As the crowd gives Foley an extended cheer, Foley says "it's great to be back here in Lafayette, Louisiana!" Foley said that he gave it one last hurrah at Vengeance to win the WWE Championship, but he's gotta be realistic as he is getting up there in age. He also wants to make ECW the most exciting brand in the WWE, and he has an announcement that should be a great start.

Foley says after taking the job, he reached out to his buddy, Smackdown! General Manager, Theodore Long. He said they discussed an interesting idea. And that idea is that Smackdown! and ECW will have a open talent exchange!

And it starts tonight!!! The main event of ECW will be a tag team match. ECW Champion, Johnny Nitro will team with World Heavyweight Champion, EDGE! to take on CM Punk and "The Big Red Machine," KANE!!!

Match #1
The Miz vs. Stevie Richards

The opening contest was the young, arrogant Miz versus the ECW veteran, Stevie Richards. The two locked up and exchanged some holds in a standard chain sequence until Richards hit a couple of nice arm drags in succession. Miz retreated to the corner and was frustrated. They locked up again and this time when Richards went off the ropes, Miz got his knee up and hit the proverbial "Kitchen Sink" to Richards' midsection. Miz then grounded Richards for a minute or so before Richards got to his feet and hit a couple of elbows to break Miz's side headlock. Richards then hit a pumphandle drop. Richards feeling the momentum went for his "Stevie-T" DDT, but after hooking one of Miz's arms, Miz countered and kicked Richards in the gut. Miz went off the ropes, and struck Stevie with a running knee lift, followed by a neckbreaker, the combo of moves he calls the "Reality Check," to get the pin. (6:09)

Matt Striker and Big Daddy V are cutting a pre-taped promo and Striker re-introduces us to the big man. As Big Daddy V is staring menacingly, Striker talks about the damage he did to The Boogeyman last week.

The clip of the Striker's Classroom segment plays, showing Big Daddy V slamming Boogeyman through the desk and then throwing him head-first through the chalkboard.

Striker says that ECW has been put on notice, and that if anyone decides to get out of line, "Big Daddy V will put you in detention."

Back from break and Elijah Burke is talking with ECW General Manager, Mick Foley. The conversation is in progress as we cut in and Burke appears to be arguing with Foley over something. Foley says that he knows how talented Burke is and that he'll earn a shot in due time. It appears they are speaking about the ECW Championship. Burke, who recently lost a #1 Contender's match versus CM Punk, says "he hopes he is treated right around here, or else there will be problems." Foley shrugs off the comment as Burke leaves.

Back to the ring and Justin Roberts announces that it is time for Extreme Exposé. The lights go down and a spotlight shines on just the entrance area, where Kelly Kelly, Brooke, and Layla dance out. The three lovely ladies get in the ring and perform a sultry dance routine. Just as Kelly Kelly is about to take things further, Johnny Nitro's theme hits cutting the ladies off. They all give a stern look as the ECW Champion enters the ring. Nitro tells them to shoo and the girls leave in frustration as Nitro poses with his ECW Championship on the top rope.

MAIN EVENT - Match #2
CM Punk & Kane vs. Edge & Johnny Nitro

The ECW Main Event tag team contest started with CM Punk and Edge. The two locked up and exchanged hammerlocks until Punk got the advantage and threw Edge to the mat. Punk put a front chancery on Edge and brought him to his feet. Edge turned out of it and sent Punk off the ropes, but Punk hit Edge with a kick to the face. However, when Punk charged Edge, Edge flapjacked Punk on the top rope. Edge stomped away on Punk and taunted, but then when getting him up for a suplex, Punk used his leg to block and then struck Edge in the midsection to break his grip. Punk went off the ropes and then slid under Edge. When Edge turned around, Punk went off the ropes again and nailed him with a leg lariat. Edge rolled to his corner and tagged Nitro in. Nitro got in and him and Punk felt each other out. Punk hit a nice headlock takeover on Nitro, and then Nitro escaped using a headscissors counter. Nitro dodged a right and then hit a STO backbreaker, followed by a neckbreaker. After a two-count, Nitro put Punk in a chinlock. The crowd came to life as they willed Punk to escape and hoped he tagged in "The Big Red Machine," Kane. Punk got to his feet and got out of the chinlock with a couple of elbows. After the two traded rights, Nitro stunned Punk with a kick to the gut. Nitro went for his springboard roundhouse but Punk ducked. Both men were down and were going for the hot tag. Edge got tagged in and then Punk made it to Kane. Kane came in a like a house on fire, with an right to Edge and a clothesline to Nitro. Kane then hit a big boot to Edge and got in position for a chokeslam. After facing the wrath of one on Friday night, Edge sensed it and quickly tagged in Nitro before going to the outside. A puzzled Nitro put his hands up and Edge yelled at him to get Kane. After slowing down Kane with a couple of kicks to the knee/leg area, Nitro went for a springboard crossbody, but Kane caught Nitro with a massive uppercut. Edge looked on as Kane begged him to make a tag but Edge got down from his corner. Kane hit Nitro with a chokeslam to get the win as Edge grabbed his World Heavyweight Championship, and headed up the ramp. (11:37)

WINNERS (by Pinfall) - CM Punk & Kane

Punk and Kane celebrate the victory. Kane signals that the title is his while Edge defiantly shakes his head and clutches his title, as ECW comes to a close.

Smackdown was on fire in 2007 and Edge was madly entertainment as the heel king of the blue brand you'd love to see get beaten. As for RAW, I like that you'll book Mr. Kennedy as Mr. MITB and I seriously hope he doesn't get injured this time

I like the OCC part and I also like the way you push Kennedy yet when in reality he lost the briefcase few weeks before, I hope for a good feud between him and Cena and maybe a big win for Kennedy. I also hope you give the lights to the women's division 'cause James, Melina, McCool or Victoria deserve a better treatment of the one WWE gave them at the time. Why don't you draft the SD women to RAW where is the Women's Title Belt?

I'm gonna do my best to bring a better Women's division. You'll probably be seeing some debuts soon!

Side note: Anyway know how to enter text from a document and not have the formatting go all haywire? It looks fine in the preview but after I submit, the final product has a messed up formatting, so I had to fix each line.

ECW and SmackDown really had a talent exchange gimmick, but we'd only see ECW talent appearing on Fridays, instead of the other way around. Thank god you're changing it! The conclusion to the main event felt very, very realistic.

Match #1

Elijah Burke vs. Funaki

The opening contest of Smackdown! features ECW's Elijah Burke vs Funaki. This comes to us because of the "talent exchange" agreement that the new ECW General Manager, Mick Foley, made with Smackdown! GM, Theodore Long. The two locked up and Burke powered Funaki into the corner. When the ref asked for a break, Burke did but only for a second before hitting Funaki with a right. Burke laid in a trio of elbow smashes to Funaki's face before seating Funaki on the top rope. Burke would then try to climb the top rope, but Funaki booted Burke in the face and then hit a missile dropkick, getting a two-count. When Burke rose to his feet, Funaki tried to hit a running bulldog, but Burke caught and launched Funaki right into the corner, feet first. With his legs hitting the turnbuckle, the angle of his fall caused Funaki to fold like an accordion on the back of his head. Referee Jimmy Korderas told Burke to back off as went to the corner to check on Funaki. It appeared the match might get thrown out but Funaki waved Korderas off as he struggled to pull himself up by the ropes. Burke looked annoyed at the fighting spirit of Funaki and as Funaki finally got fully to his feet, Burke charged and nailed his running double knee finisher, dubbed "The Elijah Express" for the win. The camera cuts backstage to Smackdown! General Manager, Theodore Long's office. Teddy is talking with his fiancée, Kristal, and assistant GM, Vickie Guerrero. Teddy and Kristal start talking about their upcoming wedding, and Vickie asks when the date is. The couple says they have not confirmed yet, but they had something they wanted to ask Vickie. Kristal asks Vickie to be her Maid of Honor! Vickie accepts and hugs both.

Backstage, we cut to a shot of Torrie Wilson and Ashley Massaro greeting Extreme Exposé from ECW. The trio of ladies were special guests tonight by way of the new "talent exchange." The ladies are walking around backstage when Victoria runs into the group. A collective look of dread hits the face of Torrie as Victoria says: "Showing the skanks around town?" Kelly, Brooke, and Layla get offended but Ashley tells them she's got it covered. Ashley calls Victoria a "miserable bitch," and Victoria grabs her by the hair. Torrie then steps in the way and shoves Victoria and now the three are on the ground in a struggle. Extreme Exposé pulls Torrie off as backstage staff separates Ashley and Victoria. Everyone is yelling at each other as the shot goes back to the ring.

Match #2

Mark Henry vs. Local Jobber

Mark Henry came out next for a match and faced off against a local jobber. The local jobber didn't back down and threw a couple of strikes when the bell rang but Henry took the rights and just laughed. Henry grabbed the jobber by the throat and threw him to the ground. As the jobber pulled himself up in the corner, Henry charged and splashed the jobber. Henry picked him up and hit him with the "World's Strongest Slam" for the victory. (1:39)

WINNER (by Pinfall) - Mark Henry

After destroying the local jobber, Mark Henry asks for a mic and to cut his music. Henry says that it's time for the "World's Strongest Man" to become the World's Heavyweight Champion. Henry talks about how he put The Undertaker on the shelf and says that he will continue to run through anyone in his way until he gets the gold.

Match #3

Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Chavo Guerrero & Jamie Noble

The third match of the night featured a Cruiserweight tag team match as Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang went against Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero, and Jamie Noble. Last week Chavo beat Jimmy and Shannon Moore came down to aid Jimmy after Chavo gave him a little extra post-match. It is announced that Chavo will defend his championship against Shannon Moore at The Great American Bash. Noble and Moore start the action, and after a little bit of control from Noble, Moore kicked it into high gear. Moore hit an enziguri to knock Noble down and then a hurricanrana off the second rope. Noble tagged Chavo in and Chavo and Moore had a nice back-and-forth sequence before Moore hit a nice dropkick on Chavo, and Chavo rolled to the outside. Moore was going to attempt a plancha but stopped halfway as Chavo backed away. Moore tagged Jimmy Wang Yang and Yang went to the top rope and hit a diving moonsault to an unsuspecting Chavo as he came back towards the ring. Back in the ring, Chavo would regain control and then isolate Jimmy in his corner. A couple of tags later and Noble has got a Camel Clutch on Yang. Noble hits a couple of cross-face shots as Yang tries to make a comeback and eventually he does with the crowd behind him and Moore stomping on the apron. When Jimmy gets to his feet he runs to the opposing corner and gets out of Noble's grasp, causing Noble to knock Chavo off the apron. Yang makes the hot tag to Moore and Moore knocks Noble down with a couple of forearms. Moore hits an inverted DDT on Noble, and then Chavo sprints in the ring. Moore uses Chavo's momentum to counter and throw him over the top rope. Moore goes to the top rope and hits his finisher, the "Halo," a corkscrew senton to a standing Noble. As the pin is happening, Yang dives onto Chavo on the outside to prevent him from breaking it up. Moore and Yang win. (9:34)

Match #4

Ric Flair vs. Finlay

The next contest was between two cagey veterans as "The Nature Boy," Ric Flair, took on "The Belfast Bruiser," Finlay. The match started with a test of strength that Finlay cut short with a boot to the gut of Flair. The two traded chops in the corner but then Finlay nailed Flair with a nice European Uppercut to take control. Finlay would then hit a short-arm clothesline and begin to work on a downed Flair. Finlay had a nerve hold on a seated Flair, but Flair got to his feet. After a short sequence of chain wrestling, Flair hit Finlay with an inverted Atomic Drop, followed by a chop that sent Finlay to the mat. Flair started working on the right leg of Finlay, at one point dropping a knee on it. Flair went for a Figure-Four, but Finlay kicked Flair off and Flair went face-first into the middle turnbuckle. Finlay then hit Flair with some kidney shots in the corner before propping him up on the top rope. Finlay climbed to the top rope and was going for a super backdrop, but Flair elbowed Finlay a couple of times and knocked him off. Flair turned around and hit a double-axe handle off the top onto Finlay. Flair started to strut as he grabbed Finlay's leg and locked in the Figure-Four. Finlay was struggling, trying to reverse the pressure of the hold, as Flair theatrically shook his head and body to apply more pressure. However, just as it looked like Finlay was about to tap, Flair breaks the hold as a surprised Michael Cole says The Great Khali is walking towards the ring. Khali gets on the apron and Flair goes to knock him off but Khali grabs Flair by the throat with both hands. Khali picks up Flair over the top rope and chokeslams him to the floor below. Charles Robinson calls for the bell to ring for the disqualification and Flair is out cold. (10:26)

WINNER (by DQ) - Ric Flair

Robinson checks on Flair and waves for paramedics to come down. Road agents also quickly come down to the ringside area as Flair took a horrible fall from the apron. Batista then comes sprinting down the ramp, but staff holds him back. He screams at Khali, who is now in the ring, and Khali yells back with his arms up.

Back from the commercial break and Michael Cole and JBL are speaking in a somber tone as a replay of The Great Khali chokeslamming Flair to the outside is shown. A replay of medical personnel assisting Flair during the break is also displayed, as Batista has his hands on his head in shock. They get the stretcher out and are about to place Flair on it but Flair comes to and yells at the medical staff that he's fine. Batista barges in and helps Flair up and with support, Flair is walked to the back.

Match #5

Ashley Massaro vs. Victoria

The penultimate match of the night is an impromptu match between Victoria and Ashley Massaro, after their backstage altercation earlier in the evening. As soon as the bell rang, Ashley hit a Thesz Press on Victoria and teed off until Victoria flipped over and got in a few shots of her own. The two ladies got up and Victoria caught Ashley with a swift side kick to the midsection. With Ashley keeled over Victoria slammed Ashley face-first to the mat. Victoria applied a chinlock to Ashley for a minute or so before Ashley made her comeback. Ashley fought out of Victoria's grasp and rebounded off the ropes to hit a diving crossbody, getting a near-fall. Ashley picked up Victoria and set her up for a DDT, but Victoria spun around behind Ashley and rolled her up. Victoria put her feet on the middle rope and the ref didn't see it as Victoria steals the win. (5:33)

WINNER (by Pinfall) - Victoria

The camera goes to a shot of Michael Cole and JBL discussing The Great American Bash PPV. On-screen graphics pop up and show the main Smackdown! matches on the card so far: Edge vs Kane for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Batista vs The Great Khali.

MVP makes his entrance for the Smackdown! Main Event but before the match, he wants to talk. MVP starts off by talking about what we just saw with The Great Khali and Ric Flair. MVP says he doesn't know if Batista is even going to come out here after what happened to "The Ancient Boy." MVP says he should focus on the health and well-being of "his gramps," and forget about coming out. MVP directs referee Nick Patrick into the ring and says for him to start a count. MVP says if Batista doesn't come out by the count of 10, that he will win by forfeit. Patrick reluctantly starts counting, but just as he reaches 10, Smackdown! General Manager, Theodore Long's music hits. Teddy says that he checked on Flair in the back room with the trainers and he is doing better. Teddy says Batista was there and just told him he'd be out in a couple of minutes, so "hang tight, playa!" Teddy then shifts his talks to the United States Championship. Teddy says that next week, there will be a Fatal-Four Way match, and the winner will face MVP at The Great American Bash for the United States Championship. Teddy's music hits and MVP looks in disgust as Smackdown! goes to break.

MAIN EVENT - Match #6

Batista vs. MVP

Back from break, and MVP is anxiously awaiting the arrival of "The Animal," Batista. "I Walk Alone" blares through the arena and Batista comes marching down with his game face on, skipping his signature entrance pyro. The bell rings and MVP shoots directly to the outside, as he wants no piece of Batista right now. Nick Patrick pleads with MVP to get in the ring and then starts a 10-count. MVP says screw it and starts walking up the ramp, but Batista chases him down. Batista grabs MVP and throws him into the ringside barriers. He does it again on the other side of the ramp. Batista then throws MVP into the ring and MVP starts scooting back on his rear end with his hands up, begging Batista for mercy. Batista corners MVP and yells "Ancient Boy, huh?!" as he took offense to MVP making fun of Flair. Batista then wails away at MVP in the corner until Nick Patrick makes him break at a five-count. Batista then comes back at MVP and hits a few shoulder thrusts in the corner. Batista hits a spinebuster and then signals for a Batista Bomb, but MVP rolls out of the ring again to buy some time. Batista goes out after MVP and charges after him, but MVP sidesteps and shoves Batista head-first into the ring post. MVP gets in the ring and begs Nick Patrick to start his count. MVP is trying to win via count-out, but Batista gets back in the ring at the count of 8. MVP starts stomping away at "The Animal," and Batista ends up in the corner. MVP gets a few more strikes in and goes to the opposite corner to set up for his running big boot, which he calls "The Players Boot." Batista starts to get up and MVP begins his trek to the other side of the ring, but Batista hits MVP with a SPEAR!!! Batista says that's enough and grabs MVP and nails him with a Batista Bomb to win the match. (9:01)

WINNER (by Pinfall) - Batista

Batista gets his hand raised but doesn't care and rapidly gets out of the ring. He heads up the ramp, presumably to go back to see Ric Flair, while MVP is in the ring, rolling around in agony to close the show.

This is so much fun. I love what you're doing with Kennedy and am also excited to see how you'll handle Elijah Burke as he was another major missed opportunity around this time. He was definitely worth at least a World Heavyweight title reign.

John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. Kennedy & King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell)

The final Monday Night RAW before The Great American Bash began with a bang as John Cena and Bobby Lashley would face off against Mr. Kennedy and King Booker to kick off the show. Lashley and Kennedy started the action, and after Lashley hit Kennedy with a scoop slam, Kennedy quickly made the tag to Booker. Booker, who got the best of Lashley last week due to the use of his scepter, was bullied to the corner right away. Lashley then picked Booker up and chucked him across the ring. Booker rolled out and got checked on by Queen Sharmell as RAW went to break. When RAW returned, John Cena had been tagged in and was currently being held in a chinlock by King Booker. Cena then worked his way up and shot Booker off the ropes. Cena hit a couple of shoulder blocks and then his signature spin-out powerbomb. Cena taunted "You Can't See Me," and went off the ropes to perform his "5 Knuckle Shuffle," but Queen Sharmell grabbed Cena's foot. Cena didn't fall but turned around and stared at Queen Sharmell. Referee Mike Chioda happened to catch the trip attempt and tossed Queen Sharmell out. King Booker went apoplectic and charged at Cena, but Cena caught him with an F-U! However, Mr. Kennedy would break up the pin. Lashley then came in the ring and he and Kennedy fought to the outside. Getting time to recover, Booker was up and was looking to take advantage of an unaware Cena, but Cena ducked Booker's sidekick attempt and locked him into the STFU! Booker fought for about a dozen seconds before tapping. Cena and Lashley win. (13:16)

WINNERS (by Submission) - John Cena & Bobby Lashley

Cena and Lashley are celebrating the win when the timekeeper gives Lashley the WWE Championship to give to Cena. The music stops as Cena gives a wide-eyed look to Lashley, who is looking at the belt. Lashley points at the belt and then at Cena, indicating that he wants to be next in line for a shot. Lashley eventually gives Cena his belt back and exits the ring. Cena's music hits again and the champ stares down Lashley as he walks up the ramp and gives a belt motion.

Backstage, Todd Grisham is with Jeff Hardy and Grisham asks him about his upcoming match against "The Samoan Bulldozer," Umaga tonight! Hardy says that Umaga is a "beast of a human," but everyone knows that Jeff Hardy "never backs down from a challenge." Just as he says that Umaga's manager, Armando Alejandro Estrada enters the shot laughing. Armando says "Jeff Hardy...listen..haha...to me..." and then tells Hardy that he knows how much of a daredevil he is, but that Umaga is not someone he should want to test. Hardy was about to get into Estrada's face when he is attacked from behind. It's Umaga! Umaga throws Hardy back-first into nearby crates, and then picks him up and delivers a Samoan Drop right on the concrete. Umaga and Estrada walk away proud of their work as backstage staff comes to the aid of Hardy, who is yelling and holding his back.

Carlito vs. Super Crazy

The second match of the night features Carlito and Super Crazy. The two started off with a nice sequence of quick-paced moves concluding with Super Crazy flooring Carlito with a head scissors takedown. Carlito regrouped though and hit Crazy with a clothesline to knock him down. Carlito applied a modified Surfboard on Crazy, and clubbed him in the back of the neck a couple of times. Carlito then propped Crazy in the corner and went to the opposite corner and charged for a corner splash, but Crazy moved. Carlito banged off the top turnbuckle and turned right into a Monkey Flip. Crazy then hit a spinning heel kick and got Carlito set up for a Moonsault. However, Carlito got his knees up and Crazy rolled around holding his ribs. Carlito emerged first and was going to make his next move when Crazy got up but he stopped when The Sandman walked down to ringside. Sandman had his Singapore Cane and a can of beer, and set up shop next to the announcer's table, as he grabbed a chair and sat. Carlito complained to referee Chad Patton, but it was to no avail. Carlito started hurling insults at Sandman, but Sandman sat back and cracked open his can of beer. Sandman pointed with his cane, and Carlito turned around to an arm drag. Carlito charged at Crazy, but Crazy wheelbarrowed and rolled up Carlito for the upset win! (7:03)

Super Crazy gets out of the ring and celebrates while Carlito hits the mat in frustration. Carlito then goes out near Sandman but gets hit in the head again with the Singapore Cane. Sandman grabs another beer and cracks it open, cheering the crowd, as he stands over Carlito.

The camera cuts backstage where the former Intercontinental Champion, Santino Marella, is being consoled by Maria. The two have seemed to be an item over the last couple of months, and Santino is lamenting how he lost the title to Umaga. William Regal then walks into the shot and says "How are you doing sunshine?" to Maria. Santino gets in Regal's face and Regal tells Santino that the only reason why he was ever the Intercontinental Champion is because Bobby Lashley speared Umaga out of his "bloody shoes." Santino tells Regal that the two should go into the ring tonight to "find out just what a "fluke" Santino Marella is." Santino has his game face on as Regal smirks and walks away, waving goodbye to Maria.

Shad (w/JTG) vs. Lance Cade (w/Trevor Murdoch)

The third match of the night is a singles contest between Shad, of Cryme Tyme, and Lance Cade, one-half of the World Tag Team Champions. As Cryme Tyme make their entrance, a graphic in shown for The Great American Bash where the two teams will face off for the titles. The two big men brawled for the first couple minutes of the match before Cade caught Shad with a big boot. Cade then hit an impressive delayed vertical suplex and got a two-count. Cade then worked on Shad, holding him in a seated armbar. Shad began to rise to his feet and sent Cade off the ropes and on the rebound, Shad hit a stunning sidewalk slam. Shad was setting up for his STO finisher, but Trevor Murdoch got on the apron. Shad and referee, Jack Doan, turned their attention to Murdoch but JTG came over and pulled Murdoch off the apron. Murdoch and JTG began brawling on the outside while Lance Cade hit a low blow to an unsuspecting Shad. The ref did not see the illegal move as he was trying to get the two outside to stop brawling. Murdoch would throw JTG over the barrier and into the first row of the crowd while Cade nailed Shad with a Lariat to pick up the win. (8:33)

Back from break and Cody Rhodes' music hits for the first time and he comes out to the ring. Cody grabs a mic and talks about his father's condition. Cody says that Dusty Rhodes suffered a serious concussion, and it was so severe that his eyesight is still blurry a week later. He says his father is doing better and recovering but he is out here tonight for one reason and one reason only. "I WANT RANDY ORTON!"

As the crowd goes nuts, RAW General Manager Jonathan Coachman's music hits and Coach heads to the ring. Coach tells Cody that he is sorry about what happened to his father but that he needs to calm down. Cody then yells at Coach and says he wants a match with Orton at The Great American Bash. Coach tells Cody that he is not an official member of the RAW roster yet, so can not put him in an official match.

At this time, "Burn In My Light" hits and Randy Orton comes out on the stage. Cody starts to leave the ring and head up the ramp so he can get a piece of Orton but Coach yells at Cody to stay in the ring. Cody tells Coach that he doesn't give a damn if the match is official or not, but to make it happen.

Orton then chimes in and says to Coach to make an "Unsanctioned Match." Coach hesitates but Cody also agrees and Coach obliges. Orton says the kid (Cody) wants the match so this is how we can do it. Orton says it's gonna be unsanctioned for Cody so that he can fight, but it's going to be unsanctioned for me so that "I won't be held accountable for what I'm going to do to you."

Orton drops the mic as his music hits and Cody is seething in the ring. Cody gets his chance vs. Orton at The Great American Bash in an Unsanctioned Match.

The camera cuts backstage where Todd Grisham makes a comment about the announcement we just heard and then tells us he has the WWE Champion, John Cena, with him. Grisham asks Cena about his victory earlier tonight but wants to ask Cena about what the interaction with Lashley was all about. Cena says that Lashley is just as competitive as he is and that he would be honored to give him the next shot. Mr. Kennedy then walks into the shot and nudges Grisham out of the way. The two face off inches apart and Kennedy says that Cena won't have to worry about Lashley getting a shot, because he's not gonna even have the title after Sunday. Cena tells Kennedy that he saw a preview tonight of what's going to happen on Sunday, and that is "you tapping out like a BITCH in the middle of the ring." Kennedy flares his nose before walking off a few seconds later.

Santino Marella (w/Maria) vs. William Regal

Santino Marella and William Regal squared off in the next contest. Marella, accompanied by Maria, was looking to rebound after losing his Intercontinental Championship. The match began with a lock-up and William Regal grabbed control with a knee to Santino's midsection. Regal hit an Exploder Suplex and then kept Santino on the mat with a reverse chinlock. Santino finally got to his feet and hit a nice hip toss on Regal. Santino held onto Regal's arm and turned it into an armbar, as he showed Regal he could do some mat-based wrestling too. Regal would get to his feet and the two would trade some more chain wrestling holds before Regal raked Santino's eye. Referee Jack Doan admonished Regal and told him to get back as Santino sat in the corner and Maria checked on him. Regal ignored that and came charging in with a knee to the face of Santino. Regal pulled Santino from the corner and put him in the Regal Stretch. Santino was out cold from the knee so when his hand was raised and fell to the mat, Regal got the victory. (8:56)

The fifth match of the night featured Mickie James and Jillian Hall. Women's Champion, Candice Michelle, joined JR & King on commentary as she was there to scout her next potential challenger in Mickie James. The two ladies alternated control for the first couple minutes of the contest before Jillian elbowed Mickie, who charged at her in the corner. Jillian hit a back suplex and then applied a modified Camel Clutch on Mickie. Mickie got to the ropes and pulled herself off and Referee Chad Patton finally got Jillian to break the hold. Mickie ran into a Sleeper Hold by Jillian, but Mickie turned it into a jawbreaker and bought some time. Both ladies got up at the same time and Mickie ducked a Jillian clothesline and hit a spinning back kick to the midsection of Jillian. Mickie hit a snapmare and then went off the ropes for a front dropkick, getting a near fall. Mickie walked over to Jillian, but Jillian grabbed her attire and hung up Mickie, neck first on the middle rope. Jillian went for a handstand leg drop, but Mickie moved and when Jillian got to her feet, she turned around into a "Mick Kick." James would get the victory and then would look out to Candice Michelle, who held her title up. (5:50)

Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga (w/Armando Alejandro Estrada)

The Monday Night RAW Main Event pitted Jeff Hardy vs "The Samoan Bulldozer," Umaga in a non-title contest. Jeff Hardy made his entrance, but he obviously was not 100% after Umaga attacked him earlier tonight backstage. Hardy, holding his back, assured Referee Mike Chioda that he was good to compete. Umaga took control of the match and dominated the early portion. Umaga was standing over Hardy and dropped all his body weight directly to Hardy's back three times and Hardy was yelling in pain. Umaga then hit Hardy with a backbreaker and pulled Hardy to the corner. Umaga lined up for his running hip attack but Hardy moved. Hardy somehow got to the top rope and hit a "Whisper in the Wind" to Umaga, into a pinfall, but Umaga threw him off at the count of two. When both men got up, Hardy went to boot Umaga, but Umaga caught his leg. Hardy flipped over and hit his mule kick to the face of Umaga, knocking the big man into the corner. Hardy then hit his "Hardyac Arrest" rope-aided corner dropkick. Hardy took off his shirt and went to the top rope, looking for his Swanton Bomb, but Armando Alejandro Estrada got on the apron. Hardy was able to kick Estrada off the apron, but Umaga got up and hit Hardy with an throat thrust. Hardy was stunned and fell right into position for Umaga to catch him in a Fireman's Carry position. Umaga showed his immense strength by climbing to the second rope carrying Hardy and hitting him with a Samoan Drop. Umaga picked up a lifeless Hardy and hit a Samoan Spike to get the victory. (10:19)

ECW kicks off with General Manager, Mick Foley!

Foley makes his entrance and welcomes the crowd to another episode of ECW. Foley says that he is excited for the ECW Title match this Sunday at The Great American Bash between Johnny Nitro and CM Punk. Foley says that tonight Punk will be in action against Smackdown's Kenny Dykstra!

Foley also says that the crowd will see some extreme tonight as by request of Matt Striker, Big Daddy V will take on Balls Mahoney...in a TABLES MATCH!

Foley then says that there will be a Fatal-Four Way Match with the winner being entered into the Fatal-Four Way Match on Smackdown! to determine who will face MVP for the United States Championship at The Great American Bash.

"And that match starts NOW!!!"

Match #1
Elijah Burke vs. The Miz vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Kevin Thorn

The Fatal-Four Way match would give one of these four men an opportunity and Elijah Burke seemed satisfied as he made his way to the ring, saying something to Foley as he passed him on the ramp.

The match began with the three heels hesitating to make a move, but Tommy Dreamer decided to throw caution to the wind and started the attack. After an initial flurry, the heels would gang up on Dreamer though, and Kevin Thorn clotheslined Dreamer out of the ring.

Burke and Miz traded moves in the ring while Dreamer smacked Thorn's head off the announce desk. Dreamer then went under the ring to find a trash can lid and cracked it over the head of Thorn. Dreamer got in the ring and caught Miz with it, but Burke hit Dreamer from behind with a forearm to the back of the head to knock him down.

Thorn would later get in the ring with a steel chair, but he whiffed trying to nail Dreamer, and Dreamer spiked him with a DDT. Miz wedged the chair in between the top and middle turnbuckle, but Dreamer would whip him head-first into the chair, taking him out of the match.

The finish came down to Burke and Dreamer. Dreamer attempted a Dreamer Driver on the steel chair, but Burke elbowed out. Burke ducked a right and hit Dreamer with a forward Russian legsweep, he calls "The Elijah Experience," on the chair for the victory. (10:06)

Big Daddy V (w/Matt Striker) vs. Balls Mahoney - Tables Match

Back from break and Balls Mahoney is in the ring. After a few seconds of his entrance music playing, the music of Big Daddy V hits, and the big man, flanked by Matt Striker, made his way to the ring.

With tables set up all around the barricades outside, this Tables match starts. Mahoney takes the fight to Big Daddy V, but his shoulder block attempt could not knock the big man over. On the third attempt, Big Daddy V countered with his own knockdown, swatting Mahoney with both arms.

Big Daddy V then went for a splash but Mahoney moved. Mahoney hit a quick leg drop and then went outside to grab the first table. Matt Striker would interfere though and grab the other end of the table as Mahoney was trying to slide it into the ring. Mahoney used the table to shove Striker away and Striker fell backward into the barricade.

Mahoney set up the table in the ring, but Big Daddy V clubbed Mahoney from behind. Mahoney stumbled to the corner and Big Daddy V started choking Balls. Big Daddy V adjusted the table to the middle of the ring and then picked up and powerslammed Mahoney through the table for the win, in the same style he did to The Boogeyman. (6:44)

After the victory, Big Daddy V isn't finished and directs Matt Striker to grab another table outside. As Striker gets near the barricade, the lights in the arena go out. Seconds later, The Boogeyman's theme starts playing and the dark arena is filled with dim red lighting. Striker is paralyzed in fear, and with his back to the barricade, the camera shot shows The Boogeyman creeping up from behind the barricade, and Boogeyman grabs Striker! Striker is kicking and screaming, as Boogeyman brings Striker through the crowd, while Big Daddy V is not able to catch up. Striker has been kidnapped!

MAIN EVENT - Match # 3

CM Punk vs. Kenny Dykstra

The ECW Main Event is next! ECW Champion, Johnny Nitro makes his way out to the ring as he is going to be on commentary for this one.

Punk and Dykstra felt each other out for the first couple of minutes, as they traded chain holds. After Dykstra had a side headlock in, Punk would send Dykstra off the ropes and Dykstra would knock Punk down with a shoulder block. Dykstra went off the ropes and Punk dropped down and then leapfrogged Dykstra as he returned. On the way back, Punk hit an arm drag and then a leg lariat. A pin attempt would get a two-count.

Punk would look outside to Johnny Nitro, and Nitro stood up from his chair and raised the ECW Title. This distraction allowed Dykstra to get in a shot on Punk and regain control. Dykstra would Irish Whip Punk with authority into the corner and Punk fell to the mat holding his back. Dykstra would club the back of Punk a couple of times and then hit a suplex.

Dykstra then signaled to the corner and went to the top rope to attempt his guillotine leg drop. Punk recovered though and swung at Dykstra's legs, crotching him on the top rope. Punk would hit a Superplex off the top rope, and he may have taken just as much damage.

Both men got up at the count of 8 and Punk got Dykstra up for a GTS, but Dykstra slid off behind Punk. Dykstra went to put some sort of Full Nelson on, but Punk rolled through, grounded Dykstra, and countered into The Anaconda Vice submission!!! Dykstra had no choice but to tap out and Punk wins via submission. (8:18)

WINNER (by Submission) - CM Punk

After the bell, Punk gets his hand raised by the ref and is celebrating the victory. Johnny Nitro gets into the ring and it appears he was trying to sneak attack Punk, but Punk catches a glimpse and Nitro stops in his tracks. Punk yells at Nitro and Nitro feigned that he was going to attack Punk. Punk tells Nitro to bring it and Punk and Nitro end up inches apart. The two talk trash to each other as Nitro raises the ECW Championship in Punk's face as the show goes off the air.

Michael Cole and JBL welcome us in and a graphic shows for the Main Event for tonight being "The Big Red Machine," Kane vs "The World's Strongest Man," Mark Henry!!!

Batista's music hits and "The Animal" kicks off Smackdown! Batista is still in a sour mood after what The Great Khali did to Ric Flair last week. A video recap plays as Batista is making his way to the ring.

Batista starts off by saying that Flair is resting at home and is doing better, and that he owes Flair for the success he's had in his career. Batista says "I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit around and let someone do this to him without kicking their ass," as his voice raises.

Batista says that it's personal now, and that he is gonna make that "giant bastard" pay at The Great American Bash.

The crowd roars but moments later, The Great Khali and his translator, Ranjin Singh, appear on the titantron to a chorus of boos. Singh says that what The Great Khali did to Ric Flair is nothing compared to what he will do to Batista on Sunday. Singh says Khali is capable of causing massive destruction and that he will not stop until he becomes World Heavyweight Champion. Khali then speaks himself in his language and yells at the camera.

Batista finishes the segment by altering a classic Flair line saying that Khali is "talking the talk...but after I'm done on Sunday, you won't even be walking." Batista spikes the mic to the ground as his music hits and he stares at Khali on the titantron as he walks up the ramp.

Match #1

Chris Masters vs. Stevie Richards

The opening contest was "The Masterpiece," Chris Masters vs ECW's Stevie Richards. Masters and Richards started with a test of strength, and Masters prevailed, arrogantly flexing after shoving Richards to the mat. After another lock-up, Richards was sent off the ropes but countered into a hip toss, shocking Masters.

Masters then put his power on display and took the advantage with a delayed vertical suplex. Masters applied a chinlock, and Richards tried to fight out. With the crowd behind him, Richards got to his feet and fought out of the grasp of Masters. Richards came off the ropes to hit a flying forearm, but Masters caught him and nailed him with a spinebuster.

From there it was academic, as Masters waited until Richards stumbled to his feet to lock in "The Masterlock," and win by submission as Richards passed out. (6:50)

Another promo for Michelle McCool plays and this one shows her upbringing from Palatka, Florida. Pictures and videos of McCool playing sports growing up, and later competing in fitness competitions are shown. McCool says she loves competition and she is ready to face all challengers.

The video ends showing that McCool will debut next week on Smackdown!

Match #2

Deuce & Domino (w/Cherry) vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Funaki

The second match of the night featured the WWE Tag Team Champions, Deuce & Domino versus Jimmy Wang Yang & Funaki. The cruiserweights started the match on fire, with both getting some shine in the first few minutes. In fact, Yang almost picked up a surprise victory after hitting a top-rope moonsault to a standing Deuce, getting a count of 2 and 7/8ths.

Eventually the tag champs would take control and slow the pace down. Domino held Funaki in an abdominal stretch and was clubbing away at his ribs. Funaki would fight out after a minute struggle, and it led to another burst of offense. Funaki hit Domino with an enziguri before tagging Yang in, who then hit a missile dropkick off the top rope.

Funaki was tagged back in and Deuce entered the ring to try and cut off the momentum only to be hit with a Tornado DDT. Funaki then went over to make another quick tag to Yang, but Cherry was distracting Yang, after she climbed on the apron next to him.

This allowed Domino to hit Funaki from behind, and Funaki inadvertently knocked Yang off the apron. Domino would then hit a new finisher called the "Double Down," which was a gutwrench neckbreaker, to pick up the win. (6:16)

The camera cuts backstage to Josh Mathews who is with the World Heavyweight Champion, Edge. Mathews says that in six days Edge is facing Kane, and that Kane seems to have all the momentum going into The Great American Bash.

Edge gets annoyed with Mathews and tells him what a idiotic statement that is. Edge says that he's been on a "wave of momentum" since he "speared The Undertaker out of his shoes" and took back the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge says that he is the "most resourceful champion in the history of this business" and that he will "stop at nothing" to retain the championship over his shoulder.

Smackdown! comes back from break with a recap of what The Great Khali did last week to Ric Flair. Michael Cole reiterates what Batista said early about Flair and says that Flair is at home and doing well and that Flair will hopefully be back soon.

Match #3

Matt Hardy vs. Finlay vs. Elijah Burke vs. Chuck Palumbo

Fatal-Four Way #1 Contenders Match for the United States Championship

The third match of the night was the Fatal-Four Way Match to see who would get to square off against MVP for the United States Championship on Sunday at The Great American Bash! Matt Hardy, Finlay, Chuck Palumbo, and ECW's Elijah Burke would fight it out with MVP watching from ringside.

The match started with Finlay and Hardy teeing off on another while Burke and Palumbo went at it. Hardy didn't forget about Finlay hitting him in the head with the shillelagh a couple weeks back and the two spilled to the outside. In the ring, Palumbo hit a nice sidewalk slam on Burke but only got a one-count.

Outside, Finlay reversed Hardy and whipped him back first into the steel steps. Finlay would then get in the ring and strike both Palumbo and Burke down. Finlay picked up Burke and hit a backbreaker and turned it into a submission, bending Burke's back across his knee. Matt Hardy would break it up hitting Finlay with a right. Hardy would hit a Side Effect on Finlay but Chuck Palumbo broke up the pin attempt at two.

Over the next few minutes, each superstar would showcase some of their arsenal and there were a couple of pin breakups along the way.

The ending came with Burke and Palumbo on the outside. Burke dodged a charging Palumbo, causing him to run right into the ring post. Hardy and Finlay were tussling in the ring, in the corner, and Burke took the opportunity to try and hit "The Elijah Express" on both men at the same time.

Hardy caught Burke out of his peripheral vision at the last second and moved while Finlay took the full brunt of the move. Hardy then hit Burke with the "Twist of Fate" and got the victory. (13:27)

WINNER (by Pinfall) – Matt Hardy

Post-match, MVP takes off his glasses and stares down Hardy as the two will fight in two days for the United States gold.

Smackdown! General Manager, Theodore Long is in his office talking with his fiancée, Kristal Marshall and Assistant GM, Vickie Guerrero when Torrie Wilson barges in. Teddy asks what's the matter and Torrie says she wants a fight with Victoria on Sunday. Torrie says that someone needs to step up to her and she's had enough. Teddy accepts the request and the two ladies will square off at The Great American Bash.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Nunzio

The fourth match of the night featured the Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero and ECW's Nunzio. Chavo was looking to use this match as a tune-up before he defended his Cruiserweight Championship against Shannon Moore at The Great American Bash, but Nunzio had some fight in him on this night.

Nunzio had a counter for everything Chavo was throwing at him early on and then was able to hit a facebuster to get a near-fall. MAIN EVENT – Match #5

Kane vs. Mark Henry

The Smackdown! Main Event was next as "The Big Red Machine," Kane faced off against "The World's Strongest Man," Mark Henry.

For the first couple minutes of the contest, the two behemoths struggled to gain control until Henry powered Kane into the corner. Henry was trying to choke Kane, but Kane reversed positions. Kane then hit a nasty throat thrust and Henry stumbled to the middle of the ring and got caught with a big boot by Kane.

Kane got Henry to his feet and sent him off the ropes but Henry countered by kicking Kane's head, which was bent over in a back body drop attempt. Henry then assumed control and hit an impressive Military Press Drop. Henry stomped on Kane a couple of times before attempting a splash, but Kane moved and both men were down.

Referee Charles Robinson got to a 7-count before both men got up. The two traded rights with the crowd alternating in cheers and jeers. Henry missed a right and Kane socked him with an uppercut, sending Henry down. Kane then climbed up to the top rope and hit Henry with a diving clothesline.

Kane then motioned for the Chokeslam, and as he was stalking Henry, Edge would come out of nowhere and hit Kane right in the back of the head with the World Heavyweight Championship! Charles Robinson had no choice to ring the bell and Kane picked up the win via disqualification. (10:52)

After the bell rang for the disqualification, Edge waited for Kane to rise and then hit him with a Spear! Edge put one foot on Kane's chest as he held the World Heavyweight Championship over the fallen Kane as Smackdown! came to a close.
